Perched on the 23rd floor of The Shilla Seoul, the restaurant is decorated in rich colors, with large tables and French empire chairs. A truly luxurious stay, it’s perfect for special occasions or if you’re just in the mood to treat yourself. While the hotel is situated uphill, the complimentary shuttle buses make it easy to get around, with convenient stops to duty free, public transport hubs, and even into the city. The service is exceptional from start to finish. From the moment you check in to the time you leave, every interaction feels polished and attentive. Staff go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-end, memorable experience - for us it was our honeymoon!

I like new hotels and so I had reservation when I booked The Shilla because of its age and location. But, the restaurant La Yeon was amazing and I just had to return as I didn’t stay in The Shilla previously. The hotel has no signs of aging. The service was truly exceptional! From the warm welcome at pickup, check-in to check-out, I was truly impressed with the friendliness and professionalism. The room was clean, new and spacious. The amenities needed were all supplied. Absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail, personalized touches, and genuine hospitality made the stay unforgettable. A perfect blend of luxury and comfort - definitely an experience worth repeating!Granted the location is a bit off but the hotel offered shuttle to a few points. I didn’t make use of that as taxis were readily available.

I stayed two nights with lounge access and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff, especially on the 23rd floor, were exceptional - warm, professional, and attentive, which is increasingly rare in Korea. Afternoon tea was a bit busy, but the lounge was relaxing throughout the rest of the day. The food didn’t vary much, but consistently met Shilla’s high standards. Looking back, it’s always the people who make the difference, and here, they absolutely did. Sincere thanks and cheers to the team.

I had an amazing stay at THE SHILLA Seoul! The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, and offer stunning views of the city. The swimming pool is really nice, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for discovering Seoul's best sights. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight of my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and comfortable experience!

I booked three rooms at Shiela Hotel for my Singaporean guests’ first trip to Korea, expecting the renowned warmth of Korean hospitality. Instead, we encountered shockingly poor service that ruined their impression. The staff were consistently unhelpful and borderline rude in both Korean and English. Every request—whether for basic amenities, check-out flexibility, or simple questions—was met with dismissive refusals, zero effort to assist, and an overall negative attitude. What’s worse? The owner proudly claims in interviews that staff are trained to avoid negativity. That’s either a lie or a complete failure in execution. My guests and I felt unwelcome from start to finish. As a hotel interior designer who has worked with major international brands, I know what good service looks like. Shiela Hotel fails spectacularly. The only reason this isn’t zero stars is because the physical space is acceptable—but no amount of nice decor makes up for terrible staff. Do not stay here if you expect even baseline professionalism.

5-star service from staff and the rooms are quiet, clean, modern, and spacious. Bed is comfortable and got great sleep. Staff does not bother you while resting to clean the room but is attentive to come and clean the room when requested. The breakfast buffet is delicious, but I wish there were more fruits for selection. The room provides Molton Brown products and smells great. Travelers should bring toothpaste and toothbrush.

first time here at shilla hotel... everything is great EXCEPT one big thing...they offer free shuttle bus, the shuttle bus driver saw me but refused to drive me back to hotel, i dont know why, gosh, this left me with no choice but have to walk uphill back to my hotel room in the dark and it was frezzing cold... gosh, man, so angry! so tired, exhausted when i finally arrived at the hotel lobby... i really dont know why he doesnt allow me to take the bus... but apart from that, everything is perfect, room is prefect, the bed is so comfortable, very comfy, hotel food is great !
