If you are looking for an awesome spot to drink local wine and hang out with friends, The Shop is a great place to visit in midtown! It has a cool atmosphere with seating indoors and outdoors, plus it's dog-friendly. Staff is super friendly, service is quick, and guests have a selection of small bites, as well. I couldn't recommend this place more!

I can’t believe I hadn’t tried this spot yet! Al is the best and introduced me to some incredible wines. Will definitely be coming back, highlights for me were the Chardonnay and sparkling wine.

This place is great, walking distance from our house, the staff is really nice. The Sangria is yummy. Dog Friendly too

Very nice atmosphere with a large outdoor area to enjoy the sunset. Wine is very tasty. There was a guy spinning records and providing a really chill vibe for us to sip our wine to.

We had a nice time here. The wine tasting is pretty good and the manager wad a great host. The 4 is only because of the availability of parking space but would still recommend as a place to hang out.

Cigar smoke kills and inhibits your ability to enjoy wine. There’s so much more to say about why this place is not good. A hurried opening. There were very loud and belligerent patrons who seemed very intoxicated. Really sucky experience

The Shop is such a wonderful place! My group and I stopped in the Friday after Thanksgiving, and had a great time. We brought in our own charcuterie boxes, and enjoyed the flights. The worker at the establishment was super friendly and very knowledgeable on all the wines. She was very helpful, and even gave us some pairing tips with items for my charcuterie board. It wasn't busy at all, but I absolutely loved the vibe with the place and can't wait to go back. The outdoor patio looks perfect for summer and they have a bunch of outdoor games too. I definitely recommend this place for a nice, relaxing night out.

I stumbled upon Rendez-Vous Winery at The Shop in Midtown Sacramento and I'm already planning my next visit! The entire space has this unpretentious, laid-back vibe with cozy outdoor seating, big shade sails, and beautiful barrels of flowers. It feels like a neighborhood hangout for wine~O's. The wine flight I tried--called The Carpool--was thoughtfully curated and took me on a mini journey through fruity, floral, jammy, and rich notes. Al provided excellent customer service and swapped the rosé for the Chardonnay. I am not usually a fan of Chardonnay, but this one was fantastic with. The real Standouts for me were the Temptress and Delta Banks blends. You can tell the wines are made with intention, and it's refreshing to have such great local options in a casual setting. I can't wait to return and to try the wine slushy and I'm really looking forward to a taste of the Brut sparkling wine --I love me some bubbles. Inside, the decor adds charm--vintage touches, a cool bar area, and a cheeky neon sign that made me laugh. Plus, Al was super friendly and happy to answer questions. The Shop also offers fun events and worth checking out. I heard the speed dating event is a good time and draws a nice crowd. If you're looking for a chill spot to sip wine, this is it. Whether you're catching up with friends or just enjoying some solo wine time, Rendez-Vous is a Midtown gem worth discovering.

Rendez-Vous, I see you! Still such a fabulous place with wonderful staff. The husband and I decided to pop in to pick up a bottle, but the kicker is we couldn't remember what bottle we liked! The staff helping us tried his hardest to help us figure out what bottle it was, but we couldn't recall even if our life depended on it! Since we couldn't decide, the nice staff encouraged us to try a flight and we couldn't turn that down! The afternoon ended up being a little date night wine tasting for us. We even left with a great bottle called The Temptress! Great wine and wonderful staff. I still highly recommend this spot!

A group of girlfriends and I visited The Shop on a Thursday evening for Happy Hour. It was a hot day, but there was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. We opted for The Carpool flight, which included a white, a rosé, and three reds. Just a heads-up: they don't serve food beyond popcorn, so make plans to eat before or after your visit (Tomato Alley is across the street). That said, they offer a fun atmosphere with games like cornhole and giant Jenga, which makes it a great place to hang out. We chose to sit outside, where there were misters and plenty of shaded areas to keep cool. The service was excellent! There was one guy running the place, and he was super friendly, answered all our questions about the wines and the business, and made sure our glasses stayed filled. We ended up purchasing a bottle of The Temptress from the flight--it was our favorite and I highly recommend it. It's so nice to have places like this in Sacramento. Whether it's for a fun date or a casual hangout with friends, The Shop is a great option. Next time, I'm definitely trying the wine slushy--someone else ordered one and it looked so good!

Is this spot a hidden gem? I was grabbing a bite with a friend across the street and saw The Shop and immediately looked them up on Yelp. Only 14 reviews- and they've been open a year- and they have a five star rating! What? Well, our plans to just grab a bite and part ways immediately was updated to a bite, then a glass of wine at The Shop. We walked over and it's such a cute spot with out. There are picnic tables for outdoor seating as well as some indoor seating. They had music playing whn we visited and we were quickly helped at the bar/ordering area. They had wine by the glass and bottle available. We opted for a glass of red each ($12/glass) and the person who helped us let us taste it before pouring the full glass. I forget which one they recommended but I loved it. We sat outside and just enjoyed the nice weather, tasty wine and getting to catch up. This would be a great spot for a date, small groups or just to pick up a few bottles of wine. I both hope they stay a hidden gem and hope that more people come by and check it out.

Came here with friends on a Thursday night for boy band trivia - and wine of course - and had a great time! The Shop inside is really small, but their outdoor space is huge! We parked on U Street which is right on the corner, and even though we didn't have the required permit, we didn't get a ticket! Behind the bartender were two slushy machines going so we asked what were in them and they were lemonade and strawberry wine slushies. It was hot outside and so that sounded amazing! The bartender recommended mixing the two and we couldn't refuse. They were so refreshing and delicious! Trivia was fun and we ended up winning 2nd place which was a $20 gift card for The Shop! The only potential downside I found is that for food they only have a couple of store bought meat and cheese trays so definitely eat before and/or after. They do have California Street Tacos on the corner of 16 & U which has high ratings, but have yet to try. Definitely would go back to The Shop and would recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised by this new little gem in Midtown! The wine was great and very affordable. The service was great and the bartender gave us an extra taster on the house. Would definitely recommend this spot for the Sacramento wine lover.

This is a new wine bar on 16th Street that opened about 3 months ago. We were happy to pay it a visit as we live nearby in Land Park. Some of you will recognize the winery from their establishment at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. Our server, I believe his name was Chris was helpful and courteous. We selected a bottle of their Albarino. It was delicious. We enjoyed it as we watched the sunset on a fall evening. We plan to return with friends to try some of their other selections. Cheers.

Great place to hangout. Get takeout or delivery of your favorite meal. The flights are $15. Local wines. The atmosphere is great. Mike is very knowledgeable and very entertaining.

Simple and chill wine shop with delicious wine. There are a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It's dog friendly too. I love their wine slushees and sangrias. Glad we don't have to drive to Clarksburg to enjoy their wine. Considering to join their wine club for their discount and wine member perks!

Super cute vibe, excellent service, and the Albariño is out of this world! I became a member and look forward to going to the Clarksburg location to wine taste.

Spectacular service and even better wine! I had no idea this place existed until a week ago. It might be my new go-to place for wine with the girls. I suspect the spacious wine garden will become my home-away-from-home when the weather improves.

I'm pretty stoked about this new location since we're a hop and a skip away...the whole crew/team solid, beyond top tier service. We've been going to their OG location for quite sometime until this location opened. Now, is this better than their OG location.....I'll let you be the judge of that, personally they both have their own vibe and ambiance. The wine slush is always amazing whatever flavor it is (St.paddy's is my all time favorite @ OG location) that green apple wine slush is orgasmic. No review on the small plates yet...haven't had the chance to try it out but I'm looking forward to it!
