This shopping area has become my new favorite destination in FW after just one (expensive) trip!
We visited The Shops the weekend before Christmas and were so impressed! The decorations for the holidays were just beautiful and there was a bright, sparkly Christmas tree near the movie theater that kids can take pictures in front of with Santa. We had several friends tell us that they loved taking their kids here because there was a large bench that could fit more then two kids - and even Mom if need be.
Parking was not an issue for us, despite it being a super busy weekend. We parked in the garage in just the first spot we saw, and found ourselves central to everything. The parking garage located in the center of the shops (not the one at the entrance, but the one located across from the movie theater), is central to just about all of the stores, making it less than a ten minute walk to even the farthest store on the other side of the shopping area.
There is a wide variety of upscale stores here (think: Neiman Marcus not Old Navy), but among those stores there are plenty of items that fit just about every budget. Shopping here can get expensive quick, though, so unless you have a money tree in your backyard, you may want to go with a game plan in mind of where you want to shop. We particularly loved the Sunglass Hut store. The manager there (I think his name is Josh), was so personable and helpful, I would definitely go back to that particular store next time I need sunglasses even though we live in Houston. The Tory Burch store was also lovely and full of great items that I can't even find in Houston at the Galleria, but our experience with the manager was so off-putting, we will not go back (the floor staff was great, though!).
The movie theater is worth the trip as well. It offers a full bar and an expanded menu, but we just stuck to the basics - soda, popcorn and sour patch kids. Menu prices are comparable to just about every other theater, but the seats and the quality of the sound system were way better than most. You can relax and get lost in your movie (or just take a nap) within minutes of sitting down - just be sure to use the cup holders to keep your drinks from toppling over (tables were a bit wobbly).
Overall the Shops at Clearfork definitely left a lasting impression on me (and my wallet), so we will definitely go back!
