We visited the restaurant/bar at living foods. It was out of this world delicious. Very top rate food and atmosphere. The bartender was a blast and so fun to watch. Hes so good at his job.

Eco friendly boutique shops every shop offers handcrafted goods , mindful atmosphere.

This place has everything. We enjoyed walking all the shops and the grocery store and eventually grabbed dinner at Scotty's. Cool place to spend an evening.

This was a cute and nice shopping area! We found some neat things to bring home. The restaurants were cute with great outdoor seating to enjoy the Kauai sunshine and breeze!

Google
Beautiful outdoor shopping mall that typifies Hawaiian shopping, taking advantage of the beautiful weather and surrounding scenery. A significant amount of stores to choose from both for shopping and eating. A very clean and well manicured space. Parking can become crowded from 5:30-8:30 pm daily. Visited numerous times in June and enjoyed all the shops and d 4-5 different restaurants. Recommend as a change of pace from other activities.

What a great addition this was to the Koloa area. True, there are the quaint shops and eateries along Koloa Road, but for those who want something a bit nicer with more variety, definitely check this place out. The open-air mall isn't full of pricy designer boutiques, but instead has a nice selection of mid-range shops, art galleries and a surprisingly diverse roster of local eateries. We had a wonderful dinner at the original Eating House 1849. Parking is free and valet is available. OVERALL: Tired of hotel dining or need mild shopping therapy? This is your solution.

Google
Cute little outdoor shopping complex to walk around. Lots of surf stores and clothes shops. A few places to eat but nothing super exciting. Most of the nicer restaurants are too expensive to try. Public restroom available down the far end of the complex near where carpark is. You need to enter a door and walk upstairs. Lots of parking spots.

Yelp
Love the shops at Kukui'ula! When we are on the west side, we stop in to shop and frequently picnic in the courtyard area. Nice selection of stores. Friendly staff too! Take your time here and soak in the aloha at this lovely and quaint collection of shops!!
google avatar

Kara B.

Yelp
Cute little mall with lots of boutiques available. We had a nice relaxing time walking around into the different stores. Lots of shade area & spots to sit. Good place to stop at for some down time before heading to the spout spot.

Yelp
A fun place to stop and check out. We came here a couple of times. There's a wide range of stores/shops and also several restaurants. Prices are in the mid to high range for the shops. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Parking can be hard to find along the shops, but there's a decent sized parking lot toward the back near the Urgent Care. Definitely check it out on Wednesdays from 3:30-6pm for the culinary farmers market!

Yelp
There were some cute shops here and it was nice having something to do while eating my Lappert's ice cream. A good variety to the shops, but I didn't find anything worth buying. Everything was definitely on the pricier side and the quality didn't seem to match. My favorite part was definitely the fun ALOHA sign they had in the middle of the shops (shoutout to the sweet old man who took the best picture of my guy and I).

Yelp
I want to thank CVS Pharmacy staff for their helpful service and attention to detail. I moved away from there to the windward side and felt I should give them a great review! I was only using their pharmacy a short few months but in that time was well treated and want to give kudos to all of them as well as the store staff in general! They are patient, friendly, helpful even under the heavy traffic in the Poipu area when in these tough times finding good help! Just saying I APPRECIATE ALL of you! Aloha, mahalo and Malama pono
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Beautiful layout. Clean, well lit and beautiful! A great collection of shops with many wonderful restaurants

Yelp
Aha! We made it just in time for the Taste of Kukui'ula which was part of The Koloa Plantation Days. So you know how behind I am on my reviews now. The lateness of my review does not negate the awesomeness of this center. I never got to visit when the festival wasn't happening so I can't tell you about that experience but when we were there, there were live music in each corner. The restaurants had booths set up and they were selling a couple of dishes each so we were able to sample from 5 different eateries. The shops were all cute. The home decor stores all fit the current all white esthetic. There's a Lululemon store. And the longest line was for the ice cream shop.
google avatar

Yelp
The store was called "Sky Boutique".....I walked in and was totally ignored. There were no other customers in there, I felt like I was bothering the two women at the counter simply by being there. Very VERY ODD.

Greg W.

Yelp
Our guide Cody and other staff was awesome. He kept it fun and entertaining. Also my son accidentally dropped his phone on the tour and they went out of their way to find it. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Such a nice shopping area with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Lots to choose from

Yelp
I wanted to leave 5 stars since I'm a longtime customer but I was really disappointed in the lack of customer service when I recently went in last week. The prices of clothing has gone up significantly and quality has gone down just as bad. Do yourself a favor and shop online to avoid sassy sales associates and or buy from a quality shop in the area with friendly staff and better clothing. I'm sorry Mahina but you've lost a local customer and I won't be leaving quietly, my friends will think twice too. Such a shame because Kauai doesn't have many clothing places but we can do better and avoid the disappointment by shopping elsewhere.
google avatar

Kaley N.

Yelp
Great place to walk around with multiple shops and restaurants. Love coming here for dinner when I'm in the Poipu area. They also have a farmers market on Wednesday. I haven't checked it out but I've heard good things!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
I've been to Kauai multiple times and for years have avoided shopping in this plaza after the first experiences exploring it found it way too costly. I swung by this trip and had a completely different experience. Reasonable prices and unique items made on the island can be found. If you've visited in the past and found it expensive, try it now...no regrets!
google avatar

Yelp
Super quaint strip mall that during the off season is almost dead. There are a handful of shops here but all is semi-pricey and it is lacking choices for all. This place has a good organic store and places to eat like ruth chris, some other steak and seafood restaurants but I cannot see anyone going there on a daily visit nor staying longer than 1-2 hours. Four stars for cleanliness and parking!

The open-air mall isn't full of pricy designer boutiques, but instead has a nice selection of mid-range shops, art galleries and a surprisingly diverse roster of local eateries. We had a wonderful dinner at the original Eating House 1849, with pre-dinner cocktails at Tortilla Republic. The only chain restaurant here is Ruth's Chris which is opening soon. Parking is free and valet is available. OVERALL: Tired of hotel dining or need mild shopping therapy? This is your solution.

Yelp
Luxury clothing, restaurants and farmers market on Wednesday in this market place. I can imagine how lively it would be when tourists are on the island. Most of the shops including the lanai living foods market was closed. The produce from farmers market was good but I found it a tad expensive when compared to other sunshine markets in Kapaa and kalaheo. The small sugarloaf pineapple was $10 each and that's way too expensive for local produce in my opinion. We got two for $10, thanks to the owners generosity but still $5 for one is even more expensive considering the Whole Foods market pricing for organic produce. The coconut was $7 which was nice as I got to drink water and they fractured it to eat the meat. However shouldn't it be reasonably priced considering it's grown on the island ? I believe the prices are based on how expensive the poipu beach area is.
google avatar

Yelp
When you are on the Garden Island of Kauai, I sure hope you take the time to take in some part of the Princeville Ranch on the North side~in which case you might need some clothing items that you don't mind turning RED, from the dirt. Hiking, Swimming, Kayaking, Zip-Lining at the Adventures, so if you need some sporting things this shopping center is a great place to pop in and eat at Roy Yamaguchi's "Roy's" new restaurant, "Eating House"~which is SO good (fried chicken or the butter fish hot pot!! Then hop over to Quicksilver or Poipu Surf Shop for Sportswear, T-Shirts and Sweatshirts. The end of the mall is Anchored with a LONG's/CVS ~great to get the Mosquito spray you will be looking for! While at Long's don't forget to get a bunch of bags of Honey Roasted Macadamia NUTS! YUM! for your friend who's watching the cat! ;-D A great mall with many great restaurants, but this was my saving grace for a bunch of stuff in the POIPU area and got to try Roy's new spot!

Yelp
Great collection of outdoor stores and restaurants. Best part is the farmers market with the sugarloaf pineapple, pies, beef, pineapple foam mai tais. The Board shop is a great place to find good surf and skate brands. Live music! We had a blast dancing along.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, I wish we had found this shopping center during our first visit to Poipu. We may have returned sooner and more often. Really nice collection of eclectic shops and restaurants, plus an open air farmers' market on Wednesdays. It's a lot of fun for adults and kids. Lots of boutiques with high end clothing you don't find in usual souvenir or clothing shops. Great way to spend time walking, eating, drinking, people watching, and enjoying the great weather. I really liked it. If we had more time this trip we would return again!

John T.

Yelp
Bubba Burgers. Great price, great burgers. There are art galleries still listed on yelp that are no longer in the complex. Nice photo gallery.

Yelp
During our time in Kauai, we stayed at the Koloa Landing Resort, which is right "next door" to the Shops at Kukui'ula Village. It's about 4-5 minutes away by foot, via an accessible walking path. There is a Long's Drugs here, which is super helpful in case you forget anything like sunblock or shampoo. They also sell a range of souvenirs at the Long's, in case you're not going anywhere else. We knew we would be making a trip to Walmart and Costco when we returned to Oahu, so we didn't pick up too much - just a few snacks and bottles of water. There are also a bunch of delicious food options at the Shops at Kukui'ula Village. We had Salvage Shrimp, which was pretty good. They're open late, I think until 9pm, which was good enough for us. They have a ton of fancier restaurants as well, which we had all the plans of going to, but ended up staying extra at the pool instead and just grabbing something quick to eat. There is also a Lappert's Hawaii here, which we fell in love with while staying at the Hilton in Waikiki. We definitely made a stop here - even though we were absolutely stuffed from the shrimp.

Yelp
Lots of parking and great restaurant options in a classy upscale shopping center. There are nice breezes that blow through here and a nice mixture of shops and eats. From a market for deli type pick up foods and shrimp shack, to fancy steakhouse type restaurants there is something for everyone here. For locally made goods there are cute boutiques that have items in their windows that draw you in. If you got sunburned there are several shops that sell rashguards as well as sun protectant and aloe cooling products. There is a good mix of retail for women here including Tori Richards, Tommy Bahama, Blue Ginger, surf brand shops, and smaller boutiques. Lovely relaxing place to spend an evening once the sun begins to set!

Yelp
We visited here recently specifically for the farmers market on Wednesdays. The urgent care located in the shops was also convenient after a mishap on the beach earlier that afternoon. The farmers market was great, the kids got to try a fresh coconut, we stopped by a stand and got some amazing apple bananas, and everyone was dying for the lilikoi cheesecake at the Right Slice stand.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Went to the culinary ( farmers) market , and while we have been there many times, yesterday was a brand new experience. The staff and security guards were incredibly disrespectful, policing people to stand 6' apart, shouting Do Not Touch the produce. On and on it went making everyone feel unwelcome and disregarded. BTW Everyone was masked ...it's ridiculous when the population is almost 50% vaccinated and the infection rate is 0.93. so many restaurants and business are closed, many permanently, treating people this way is only going to make them want to stay away. Obviously covid is not over and we all need to do our part to stay safe but I believe asking people to follow rules can and should be done with kindness and respect.
google avatar

Irms R.

Yelp
staff is friendly, stores are clean, variety of options, parking lot, price is moderate to expensive.
google avatar

Janelle T.

Yelp
The farmers market is only on Wednesday afternoons. Pretty good market, friendly people, delicious samples from local vendors. Hawaiian and Asian fusion products and local style desserts. Nice ambiance. Live music, lots of gorgeous fresh flowers, fruits and some vegetables. We got the sweetest white pineapple here. It's delicious! The shops are pretty cool too, there's a health /natural food store. There are a handful of restaurants and bars to choose from and shopping for touristy visitors or for those looking for specialty items such as souvenirs, art and galleries.

Yelp
Kukui'ula Village shopping center is the south shore's new gathering place! Its home to Bubba Burgers, Dude Dogs, Living Foods Market & Café, Merriman's Kaua'i, Lappert's Ice Cream & Coffee & more..I wanted to check out Josselin Tapas Bar & Grill but they were still closed! Its a cool hip nice place to chill after a long day of soaking up in the Sun!! =D There are lots of Art Galleries to check out as well! I'll most definitely check this place out again the next time I'm in Kaua'i. The Developers state that its Influenced by the island's rich history, rural landscape and cultural heritage; Kukui`ula Village is reminiscent of a quaint sugar cane town of old Kaua`i. The authentic plantation-style architecture is a departure from a mainland mall setting Kukui`ula Village is located on the sunny south shore of Kaua`i, just off of Ala Kalanikaumaka (the new western bypass road in Po`ipu) at the roundabout that leads to Spouting Horn. Heres Kukui`ula Village Hours: 11:00am - 9:00pm Daily

Yelp
If you're looking to do some shopping and your tastes are on the higher end of the scale this is the shopping center for you. They have a farmers market, art shops, food, and clothing with a drugstore not far away so you could easily kill a few hours here if that's what you're looking for. Bonus is this is within walking distance of a few resorts.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I stayed in Poipu and these shops are right down the street. There are a lot of frat restaurants and some very cool (and very expensive) shops. We did stop at the kings drugs multiple times as well as the bubbas burgers. On Friday nights they have lice music which is very nice to talk around and enjoy being outside.
google avatar

Elyse S.

Yelp
The Shops at Kukuiula is a pleasant open air mall not far from many of the places to stay in Poipu. There are many options for food in all price ranges - from Ruth's Chris to icky Bubba's burgers and all in between. There is ice cream and a shaved ice place (which was just ok). There is also a natural grocery market and Longs drugs. There are a lot of shops with goods (all on the pricey end) some art and more clothing stores, which were also pretty pricey because, well, tourism. If anything it's a nice little mall walk as there was often live music and there are many benches to sit and people watch.
google avatar

Yelp
The Shops at Kukui'ula are 5 years old. The first review was written 5 years ago yesterday. Alan and I were uncomfortable w/ the entire Kukui'ula concept, the expensive homes, the golf course, etc. It seemed a threat to the rural, slow moving Poi'pu we love. We didn't want it turning into Maui, or worse. When we were last on Kauai in December 2012 The Shops were already established and we liked it. The architecture is solid and attractive and the lighting at night is magical. We liked that Savage Shrimp had moved here from its truck and that it had remained reasonably priced. We ate at Tortilla Republic downstairs and Merriman's and Josselin's upstairs. If the Culinary Market was happening on Wednesday afternoons we didn't know about it. We don't do much shopping,so we didn't explore the shops and galleries. This year we returned and The Shops has filled in w/ new restaurants, shops and galleries w/ more on the way. The shop that used to be near the Kalaheo Café has moved in here, although I don't remember its name. Crazy Shirts is moving here from Koloa and a new Long's is being built near the roundabout. We were chatting w/ one of our favorite employees at the resort and he commented on what an economic driver The Shops has been. I hadn't considered that, but hundreds of jobs have been created in restaurants and shops. Having a Long's here in Poi'pu will save locals as well as tourists a drive into Lihue. What I really enjoy about The Shops, though, is how lively the place is, particularly at night. Families w/ young children, groups of people who could be either tourists or locals, people greeting each other in restaurants, having come in separately. It's a busy social scene. They have added free valet parking at night, which we have used and appreciate. It's not old school Hawaiian, true, but it's a great gathering place and I like that.
google avatar

Mona W.

Yelp
Kuku'ula Village is one of the newer touristy developments on this beautiful garden island. So new that the it couldn't even be located by the GPS or cell phone map. It housed lots of restaurants and shops, half of those weren't bad. I had a good meal there and I enjoyed browsing through all the art galleries. Pricy shops? Perhaps. But there are really no other shopping places on Kauai with such trendy ambiance. It is a good romantic place for a walk at night.
google avatar

Andrew I.

Yelp
Very cute village/market. There are activities here on the weekends, farmer's market nearby, and galleries. Just a cute walk, even though you're not buying anything. They have a few great snacks such as ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, shaved ice. I like the gallery, as well, small but adequate. Some shopping also, such as Quicksilver It is very clean, organized. The buildings look very well maintained, the prices here are a bit more expensive, I can understand why. The bathrooms are clean, and the trees are well manicured. Just a short walk around, it looks even cuter in the evening when the lights are starting to turn on.
google avatar

Yelp
We weren't sure how this shopping center would change things for the other main shopping areas in Poipu/Koloa but it doesn't seem to have dampened anyone's enthusiasm for spending some green. This is an upscale shopping center so there will be a lot of higher prices in the specialty shops. A mix of restaurants there but if you're looking for less pricey options, look for Bubba's, Savage Shrimp & Lapperts. I'm sure there are a few good specials you can get but prepare to leave with a lighter wallet. If you see a restaurant you like and think "I'll hit it next trip"...don't. Several restaurants have already gone out in it's short existence. Matter of fact, apply that to any trip to the islands, you just never know. A word about the farmers market on Wednesdays. I know people love it and we used to but if you are remotely averse to crowds, stay away from it. There are TONS of other farmers markets to go to islandwide. This is wall to wall (mostly) tourists and they have no problem stopping in the middle when there is an attempt at flow, being rude or entitled, things sell out early after waiting in long lines, prices are still decent from produce vendors but a slight raise in price due to location. I'm happy the locals get to have such traffic and business but yeah, we tried to go twice and it just was not pleasant due to the people in attendance. I got super internally ragey and had to calm myself with a Hana Hou from Lapperts to numb the beast. I miss the days when it was unknown and you could walk around at your leisure with very few people in the first hour or so.
google avatar

Kellie F.

Yelp
Yup, it's another tropical shopping center for tourists, but one can never have too many convenient shopping stops! Highlights include: Savage Shrimp (you must go here and have the shrimp tacos), Tortilla Republic (get the happy hour nachos), Lappert's Ice Cream (trust), and check out Living Foods Market. Bathrooms are located at the two ends of the shopping area. Feels a bit more upscale than Poipu Shopping Village, but not sure it has as many shops... And definitely doesn't have the Starbucks that PSV does.
google avatar

Erin B.

Yelp
I remember when this place opened when I was in high school we would always go here to shop at Poipu Surf and Quiksilver. This is probably my favorite shopping center on the island. It's new and clean and has a lot of parking and cool places to eat and shop. The restaurants are a mix of fancier places, like Merriman's and Eating House 1849, as well as more casual places like Savage Shrimp and Uncle's Shave Ice. The stores range in price from something like Quiksilver to local higher-end boutiques. If you want a unique gift but not something too touristy, I would suggest stopping in Poipu Surf! They sell some of their own branded hats/shirts for a decent price (they also offer a 10% kamaaina discount for all the locals out there). They recently opened a Long's Drugs here too so it saves the hassle of having to drive to Lihue if you're already in Poipu/Koloa. We noticed that this Long's is more expensive than the Lihue and Kapaa ones, but it's a lot more convenient if you need to get some snacks for the beach and things like sunscreen. To be quite honest, everything in this shopping center is pretty expensive (but really what do you expect in Poipu?) but even if you don't want to buy anything, it's a nice place to window shop, walk around, and kill some time.
google avatar

La Quinta L.

Yelp
This should be considered an excursion! It is a lushly landscaped group of shops and restaurants. There is a Long's Drugs and s Ruth's Chris there. Both ends of the economic spectrum. Go there even if just to walk around.
google avatar

A W.

Yelp
I went to the shops at 4pm on a Wednesday to see their farmer's market. There were people selling fruits/veg, soup, kimchee, coconut to drink and eat, fried rice, and baked goods! I thought the shops themselves had a good variety to them. They went from Tommy Bahamas and small boutiques to Roxy. There are also quite a few restaurants and cafes here, including ice cream and shaved snow. During the farmer's market, there was also live music! Even if you don't plan to buy anything, it's nice to just walk around.
google avatar

Carey F.

Yelp
Good blend of boutique, surf, good restaurant and fresh gourmet market with yummy prepared foods. Blt plus avocado was amazing!

Yelp
Great outdoor mall with upscale and niche shops. Many dining choices, but pricey. Cool small grocery store too

Yelp
Of all the shopping centers we visited during our stay in Kauai, this was by far the best. Great selection of restaurants & stores. All the shops were pretty fun and interesting -- I don't know about you, but I got tired of the same old touristy tshirt shops around the Island. Not to say there weren't a couple shirt stores here, but the Shops at Kukuiula also had a great variety of other touristy things and real decent quality items. Mahina and Soha were standouts stores to me, as well as lunch at Savage Shrimp and a fantastic dinner at Eating House 1849. And what night in Poipu is complete without dessert at Lappert's? We visited around lunchtime specifically to eat at Savage Shrimp, and after having a quick walk around, we decided we would return to shop and eat dinner. Parking at lunchtime was pretty easy, but the lot had started to fill up by the time we returned to the shops for dinner (around 7pm). Luckily, we didn't have to valet and found a spot on our own. The nighttime ambiance was lovely -- those beautiful lanterns hanging in the trees kept the feel of a beautiful tropical evening, giving our night a touch of romance. Plus the nighttime atmosphere was fairly lively due to the 2nd floor bars and restaurants, which is somewhat of a rarity on Kauai! Most of the shops seemed to close around 9pm, but some stayed open until 10pm. The only time I was conscious of the crowd was while we were waiting in line for Lappert's. Once we had our ice cream, we sat at an outside table and talked, people-watched, all while looking up at the stars. Definitely not an experience I can have at home!
google avatar

Rami D.

Yelp
This is a tourist trap, but it is so beautiful and has such a wide array of place to eat, drink and be merry. My favorite shop is Uncle's Shave Ice. They have the best Farmer's Market here, but it is very expensive- so don't be shocked when a banana costs like two dollars. Great surf shops, bikini shop and really nice art galleries. Living Foods Market serves tasty food in a clean and friendly atmosphere. For sure check this place out- even if you are a local:)
google avatar

Dean I.

Yelp
Yuck this place. I love Savage Shrimp, but all of the other businesses here seem either fake or way over priced or both. It doesn't feel like authentic Hawaii at all. I suppose if you're a rich tourist looking for the comforts of home, this place would work for you, but I like coming to Hawaii for the real thing and this ain't it. It also used to at least not be crowded, but now it's uncomfortably packed.
google avatar

Cat Y.

Yelp
Great shopping area with good options for sit down food, awesome shaved ice (Uncle's) and has a small, delicious farmer's market.
google avatar

DIrk J.

Yelp
Longs drug store was a nice feature at this center for the basics, food, snacks, sunscreen. Their pharmacy was a great help also.
google avatar

Kristin W.

Yelp
Touristy. Seems kind of like a ghost town when you're walking around this shopping village. But there are some restaurants here that seem promising (and Bubba's - mmm). First time here since it was built. Came to check it out since it was a rainy kinda day. I'd come back to try the eateries.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
Unless you want expensive things or looking for an expensive restaurant don't bother on coming here.
google avatar

Steve V.

Yelp
I like this new village. It's clean and not crowded. Good parking. Not a lot of shops, but what there is, are upper scale/price. The market has great pizzas and good choices of other fresh lunch and breakfast sandwiches.

J. R.

Yelp
I'm sure this upscale shopping center charges premium rent to their tenants. But how much business is lost because you can't find a parking space? Sure there's always valet parking, but who wants to use that if you only want to run into Long's for something quick, or get an ice cream cone at Lappert's. You need more parking!
