Stopped in The Shroom Room on my way down to Phoenix from Payson. Absolutely amazing atmosphere and love the mushroom decor and gifts around the seating areas. Adri greeted me right when I got in the door and I was very impressed by her knowledge of mushrooms and her ability to express the benefits and features of their many cool unique coffees, Teas, and drinks! Can’t recommend her enough as a great employee/person! Will definitely be coming back EVERY time I’m in or passing through Payson!

Amazing! Cute little cabin with an upstairs area and a nice sitting room. Plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax as well. Coffee was delicious and so was the Snow White tea. The wife really love the atmosphere and how beautiful everything was.

My type of vibe✨🍄👽, environment was nice, staff Cody and Liz are friendly . Lots of teas and coffees , check out the merch💜. It was a beautiful cloudy day, we sat outside and just connected .

We had a girls trip for our 2 daughter’s 21st birthdays & we stopped in 2 different times/days. Saturday was amazing trying something new for all of us, the only employee was so nice & sweet. Sunday we came in to only 1 person working again, & it was busier this day (Memorial Day weekend mind you). This poor sweet girl working was doing her best to hold it all together & did a fantastic job. I’m thankful everyone in the shop was patient & kind to her. She & the other employee deserve a raise for sure. I guess a couple employees had quit on such a busy weekend. Maybe the owner should have come in to help instead of making 1 employee do everything during the busiest times.

Mushroom coffee, an interesting concept many have not heard of. When I first saw the “Shroom Room”— I assumed it was some sort of dispensary. A simple Google search proved me wrong, and I was intrigued. We stepped in before lunch. The best way I can describe the atmosphere is strange. It’s a very old cabin, with two stories, complete with various mushroom supplements and memorabilia. The staff actually wasn’t very friendly though! The girl taking our order had a bit of an attitude. They have a wide menu of mushroom-infused coffees, teas, and even some lunch items. They offer 7 types of mushrooms, with a form explaining their supposed health benefits. They also sell their own mushroom powder. I don’t know if mushrooms truly have health benefits or it’s more of an MLM type thing, but I was interested. I tried the Golden Cacao, a non-coffee drink with turmeric and I added Reishi Mushroom. My Dad got a Coffee with all 7 mushrooms. Mine was just okay, not worth $9, and you could really taste the mushroom. My Dad also noted that his coffee was mediocre. To me, this feels more like a money grab than an actual health store. I don’t think I’d be back anytime soon, but, cool idea.

Fantastic blend of mushroom based coffee, tea, and other drinks. We love the smoothies too! There is always somewhere to sit and lots of fun mushroom themed items to shop around for. The environment is so chill and customer service rocks. By far my favorite shroom coffee place ever!

I absolutely love this place!! Grant and Liz were both stellar. So knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with the best choices. The mocha was divine and the hummus toast was a perfect pairing.

I really wanted to like this place more but 3 stars was the best for me on this visit. I was on my way back from caving for 2 days and needed a nice cup of coffee as I had a bit of a snafu at my campsite and couldn't make a decent cup of coffee that morning, so I was really looking forward to this place. I really like that they have mushroom infused coffee options and I ordered one of their mushroom infused cold brew with vanilla foam. I also bought some fun mushroom postcards and they are super neat! Lots of great merch for sale. The issue with my cold brew was that it wasn't particularly flavorful and the foam wasn't really foam at all, so the drink was a bit of a letdown. It also took them a really long to make my drink. After I used the bathroom and browsed the whole place, then my drink was ready and they had 3 people working behind the counter. I'd be happy to give them another chance but for this first experience, it was only 3 stars for me.

This was along the route during our road trip. We saw the little fly agaric spotted mushroom on the outside of the shop and were immediately drawn to it. We had to go and check it out. So glad we did! They have a variety of coffee and smoothie drinks all with 7 healthy mushroom adaptogens in every drink. We had fresh smoothies that were so good! I'm sure crazy high in natural sugar but totally worth it. They also have a collection of mushroom inspired merch and legal mushroom supplements. Like gummies. The service was great- although I forget the young ladies name! She was so cute! I hope to stop by this place again soon!

We truly enjoyed our coffee mushroom drinks--such a unique treat! I was especially happy they offered a decaf option (something most places skip over), which made my day. The flavor was smooth and different in the best way. Service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience really pleasant. I'm officially addicted. Tried multiple drinks here. The Tenacious, The butterfly, all good but nothing beats the chai latte. Second trip to Payson today.... And second stop at the shroom room Just found out this trip they have a stamp card

This place is so cute! I got the Payson 5k and it's a pleasant, earthy flavor without being earthen, if that makes sense. Service was extremely nice and courteous and gave good recommendations!

The Shroom room does not sell hallucinogenic mushrooms, as my son thought they must. They sell mushroom coffee and mushroom drinks and drinks that don't have mushrooms and mushroom themed goodies like knickknacks and other items. There is a strawberry drink with lavender in it. That is my staple drink when I drive down to the valley. It is delicious. This is a quaint place and you should come visit.

I love discovering new local coffee shops and enjoyed my brief stop here. I have spent my entire life making trips up to Payson and have been to many of the local establishments within the city. This was my first stop here at the Shroom Room. First of all, the shop itself is inviting because they operate out of a two-level cabin that has both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside the coffee shop are cute decorations along with a variety of products and merchandise that you can purchase. I have never had mushroom coffee before. I have heard that it has less caffeine in it. I have been reading up on the health benefits of medical mushrooms and its healing properties. I am intrigued on its ability to slow down the effects of ageing and how it can enhance endurance. The drink menu has teas, coffee and specialty drinks. They also sell a number of products here like gummies, extracts and coffee products that you can brew at home. I enjoyed both the service and my Matcha Latte and happy to have discovered a new place to visit in Payson.

This is a neat little spot! It has a very whimsical feel and made me feel like an excited kid inside. I love to attempt to eat healthy, and I appreciated that my mango smoothie had organic real fruit and also mushrooms! The person who helped was super friendly and knowledgeable. I'd definitely go back!

This place is the absolute CUTEST!!! I love love love stopping by when I go through Payson! I unfortunately don't quite have the taste buds for the coffee but I'm still trying different ones every time I go in to hopefully find one I love!!!!

Was headed home from the weekend in Strawberry and stopped by the The Shroom Room to try a mushroom coffee. The Shroom Room is cutely decorated with lil mushroom everywhere, now I have never had any mushroom coffee but was up to trying something new. After checking out the menu I went with the Pure Chai Latte, it had pure chai spices and increased energy, improved digestion, reduce inflammation and boost heart health. The Pure Chai Latte is one the Shroom Rooms signature drink and I honestly didn't know what to expect because mushrooms are not my favorite thing, but coffee is, and well this was surprising good!

Mushrooms can be both cute and ugly but I've been a fan of them for a long time...... So when I found out about this place I knew I had to stop by!! As soon as we walked in the employee greeted us and welcomed us in. We then began to browse the items they had for sale and quickly found ourselves wanting to buy everything that had a mushroom on it. We found a few trinkets and went up to pay. I got a few items and a small peach tea and my total was about $21. The girls working the front were very friendly and they were very busy as people kept coming and going. They have plenty of seating options both inside and out and they also have an upstairs area that we did not check out. The matcha latte my sister had was very good and I totally recommend it. My tea was good and very refreshing, it just needed some sugar for it to be perfect... Cute café and friendly employees, check them out!

What an absolutely cute and charming spot. Even the walk up into the spot itself was charming. They have a room upstairs if I remember correctly, which was a super cool place to chill at, almost like sleepover cool vibes. From what I remember, the coffee was yummerz, and the service was kind. They have little charms and things that you can buy there too. Will definitely be back whenever I make my way up there again.

Wow, I've seen this place while driving by and always wanted to go! And I have no regrets! This is definitely the shroomiest coffee I've ever tasted and I wish I lived closer to come back! The coffees and teas are infused with different mushroom extracts, giving beneficial effects on your health with every sip! I felt as if they offered a earthy taste in each drink as well, which I loved! The sweetness was perfect and with a great balance and smooth flavor in each drink. There are also many options for milk substitutes and add ons as well. The vibes are so homey, funky, organic, groovey and chill! With a little spot to hangout with friends upstairs and outside. There is also merchandise you can buy all throughout the store, and Al mushroom themed! If you head outside there is a little mushroom museum as well so go check that out! I also want to point out how amazing all the ladies working here were. You can just tell they are the nicest chillest gals, and they all have great taste! I actually think this is probably my favorite coffe shop now....‍ which is sad cuz it's so far from where I live!

On our way back home, we wanted coffee on the ride, and passed by The Shroom Room! We didn't want Starbucks or Dutch so we turned around. What a great decision! Omg this place is so cute inside, and they have such cool things. It's a must stop, by and check it out! The girls who were working today 4/3 were so nice, helpful and so sweet. I recommend trying Dr Feel Good hot coffee! I should have bought two! That's how good it was. My husband got a regular coffee and, a black n blue iced tea. I picked up road trip to try out. She says they are good so why not.

Service is good here, place is super cute and they have rooms that's good for groups. Although place is not well maintained. There's crumbs on the table and chairs. They infuse mushrooms into all of their beverages. Which makes this place unique from your regular coffee shops.

I had wanted to try this place for months and finally got up to Payson and boy was it worth it! Not exaggerating when I say the pure chai latte was the best chai latte I have ever had. I make it homemade and drink it regularly and The Shroom Room nailed it. I had additional mushrooms added and for those who don't like mushrooms, you would never know they were in it. My kids can't stand mushrooms and they kept asking for more sips of my chai lol The shop is easy to find and so cute. A cozy cabin with a loft that has bean bags, games and incredible views! So fun. The shop is filled with all kinds of cool mushroom merchandise. We had a great time looking around, but didn't purchase anything as it's incredibly expensive. The drink was also $9. Wouldn't be able to make this a regular spot if I lived closer, but absolutely would go as much as I could for a special treat. I will definitely be back the next time I am anywhere near Payson. Oh! It was hot when we stopped by, but the outdoor area is great. Seating, Edison lights and cool decor. This is a must try spot. I loved it and can't wait to go back. I want to try other things, but the chai was so good I'll probably get it again. Staff was super friendly and helpful if you have questions, etc. Very clean bathroom.

I went in with high hopes to find excellent mushroom coffee because i actually buy everyday dose in a monthly basis and this place advertising mimics that product. The customer service needs lots of work. No eye contact, no smile or welcome or good morning. Also, educate your customer on what mushroom coffee is, and the benefits. (To clarify, the customer ahead of me did not know what mushroom coffee was and the "barista" did not provide much info on the product). We ordered 2 drinks. When we got our coffee. Our cups had spill all around. We had to take the lid off and clean it up. Then, our drink did not taste good so we ended up throwing it away. At the bottom of our cups the product was still in a huge clump and some was still dried powder. Which shows that the barista did not froth the coffee right. I wish i could get my money and the tip back. What a terrible experience. The place, to survive it needs better workers. Workers that actually believe in the product. Then, they will actually be excited about selling this coffee. The place is cute and it has potential. For now i am giving it a 2 thumbs down.

We stayed in Payson over the weekend and visited The Shroom Room after seeing it on the street corner. The inside is cute and they have a mushroom museum. We thought it was going to be actual mushrooms but it is mushroom merchandise like towels, stuffed animals, etc. and they are not for sale. The are quite a few trinkets for sale in the actual cafe, and there is an upstairs portion with seating and board games. The place itself is a 5/5 but the service and food is why I gave it 3/5. We ordered some of the "crisps" and a butterfly pea iced tea. The tea was fantastic and I highly recommend that. We tried the hummus, avocado, and strawberry crisps and they were disappointing. They were not crispy, and the avocado and hummus is not made in house, but Kirkland brand. The bread it was on was a soft English muffin. For $5 each it wasn't breaking the bank, but we expected more by the description. I would not order these again. We returned a second day to get another iced tea and it took more than 20 min to get our order. There was only 3 other cars in the parking lot and they weren't busy. Skip the food, get the tea, and expect to spend a bit of time here.

What a cute and fun experience. Also whatever you do get the Chai! I'm not exaggerating when I tell you, it's the best chai that I have ever had The who work here are so incredibly warm and welcoming. They want you to have an incredible experience and it shows. Even after a day of hiking (and looking like hot garbage) they welcomed us in and gave us some excellent recommendations. In addition to the best drinks ever (!!!) my friend bought three rings and I got the cutest little pin and brownie with adaptagenic mushrooms. Please don't overlook this cute gem. Check it out the next time you're in Payson or if you live in Payson.

I decided to take a day trip to see The Shroom Room! Coffee was absolutely delicious, I got a Shew-Brew, it was one of the baristas favorite drinks that quickly turned into mine as well! I am not huge chocolate fan, but it was mildly sweet drink-which intrigued me to try it! I paid roughly $6.50 for the Large. Everything they had to offer in the gift shop was so cute! I bought some fun socks($6 each) and mushroom crystals which they were selling 2 for $5. I also got 10 stickers for $5 and a make up bag for $10.

I ultimately love this place there always really nice they help you if you have questions about the drinks and when you walk in the ora feels so relaxing and calm and it feels so magical I love it... the drink are so good and they have a matcha drink here it's honestly the best matcha coffee drink I have ever had, they also know there mushrooms as well they don't put any dangerous mushrooms in the drink it's like powder stuff they put in ones that are healthy for you like your brain and help you with anxiety and stuff like that. It's over all just a magical place and they are really clean its not dirty it's super tidy and I don't know it's just like a awesome comfy place it's totally worth the hour drive up to Payson. go here you love it !!!!!!!

We stopped by on a road trip for some afternoon refreshments and they were so delicious! I don't remember what I ordered which is unfortunate because it is one of the best lattes I've ever had. I believe it had lavender in it, but it wasn't the blue lavender latte because the barista said that one would be too calming if I wanted to focus on the road for a few more hours. We ended up staying much longer than planned because it was such a cool place to hang out. Warmly recommended!

if you are looking for something different you should try this. It wasnt something i cant wait to have again but it was good and would maybe try again, Wife and daughter also liked it.

This is an update from the 5 star review I left 4 months ago. The food and drinks are still delicious and staff friendly as ever! However, in my last review I commented on how everything in their gift shop is all fast fashion sweatshop-type merchandise. This makes me really sad seeing as to me, the mushroom movement is all about slowing down and reconnecting with nature. So it makes me a bit sad seeing it be used to sell more unnecessary products. On top of that, the small sections that did have things for sale from local artists seem to be gone as well the whole mushroom museum! Most everything has been taken off the walls. Really sad to see :( I really hope you guys will continue to take artists and long-lasting meaningful products into consideration because I really do love this cafe! I guess I just feel like it's potential isn't being fulfilled

very good drinks, their food is pretty good too. it's a cozy little place to visit if you wanna hang out for a little bit, the staff is awesome and really nice. definitely recommend their arnold palmer (though it is usually out, but it's really really good)
