Yelp
I found the Sicilian Butcher to be a small chain of Italian dessert stores throughout the Phoenix area that came highly recommended as a result of local blogs and list. What I found was a clean storefront that offered a shortist of some of the most common desserts that go well with lattes, cappucinos and limoncellos. This is looking specifically at their desserts.
Mini cannoli - this was a bit lackluster in flavor, specifically within the creme. I found the outside crunch to be excellent, but didn't wow me in any way. I do this is good for one person, although the regular size would be good for one hungry person or split between two people.
Italian wedding cookie - this was a hard cookie that is very common, but didn't seem to have the sweetness or softness of the traditional wedding cookie. I don't think this was as great as it could have been. I would opt for this over a cannoli, however.
Latte - served to go, I found this to be a very light latte without much espresso strength. While this may have been the case with the oat milk option, I hoped for a bit more, and for it to be a bit hotter.
I do think people really like this place could use more than a great decor, but a bit more in flavor for the desserts. I did like the clean atmosphere, steadfast service, and availability.
