When I visit St. Louis I tend to find my butt in a seat at one of Side Project's locations. On this visit, I made sure to get a visit in to the Cellar and to the Brewery.
I actually ended up at Side Project Cellar twice during my time, and had some small pours each time.
Visit One:
M.J.K. (2024):
A Double and Triple Barrel Aged Barleywine aged in Willett Family Estate Bourbon and Brazilian Amburana Barrels for 31 to 32 Months. This is one of my all time favorite beers. So good I got a pour of it both days.
Shin Shin:
An Imperial Stout aged in Willett Barrels and finished on Sump Coffee exclusive to Side Project and Canadian Maple Syrup. This was the last keg of this beer.
Derivation (Blend #17):
A Blend of Willett Bourbon and VSOP Cognac Barrel Aged O.W.K. and Vibes Recipes aged for 24 to 40 months. It was then thrown on Vanilla Beans from Sri Lanka and Tanzania. A delicious Vanilla bomb.
Visit Two:
As I said - had M.J.K. again.
Electric Roads:
An English Barleywine aged in Weller, Blantons, Elijah Craig, Bakers, and 1792 Barrels mixing Three Different Barleywine Recipes.
Bubble Wrap (Blend #1):
An Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with The Veil, Otherhalf, and weldwerks. The Stout was Aged in a Blend of Weller 6, Weller 7, Weller 12, Blantons, Rittenhouse Rye, and Old Fitzgerald Barrels for 12 to 37 Months. Then it was adjunct with Toasted Coconut, Sump Coffee, Vanilla Beans, and Fresh Ground Cinnamon.
