Side Project Cellar from the outside is extremely unassuming, but as soon as the threshold is crossed it opens to a space with plenty of both table and bar seating. The lights are dimmed, but not so much as to strain the eyes. The beer menu is nothing short of comprehensive, with styles that run just about every style possible. It's quite stunning the amount of house brews they manage to not only create, but also keep in stock.

Google
Amazing bar serving some of the best beers in the world. They are expensive, but rare and made by some of the most talented brewers and blenders in the business. The staff is friendly and helpful, and while it can get raucous and busy, you may make some friends and will enjoy your time here.

Not really here for food and didn't try the snacks, we went for the heavy hitters available currently, mjk/bbt2020/derivation 17. And boy what a treat these brought us. Great service from the people working here, friendly and really helping out with any questions we had. Likely to be coming back.

Beer for after work, I was here with my laptop and enjoyed a very peaceful early evening of writing Yelp reviews, sipping a frosty beverage and watching people coming and going. Side Project Cellar has a tremendous beer list, much more than just the usual macro brews on tap. It's comfortable, it's got a very chill vibe and it's a lovely little spot.

Google
The breweries cellar serving up some of the best beers made in the world. With an ever changing draft list and an extensive bottle list from the cellar on top of the private and personal experience the small but unique space creates, you are bound to have a great experience. The staff is great and incredibly knowledgeable. In addition my favorite experiences are the multiple special events they have a year serving up their more limited beers.

Cozy little hipster space. Friendly bartender and interesting beer and spirit choices. I had an excellent Dunkel and fun cask sour. Probably not a great choice for hoppy beer lovers. Overall worth a visit if you dig sours and barrel aged beers.

The Side Project Cellar offers a great selection of beers and is a fun spot to meet up with a friend. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night during my visit, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm looking forward to my next visit, especially to try out their cocktail menu! There is also a large free parking lot next to it.

The lack of snacks at a bar is incomprehensible and really shows how we in America just don't get hospitality. IThis is the only bar I've ever been to in over 54 countries that doesn't offer at least something to snack on. There are only two food items on offer. The charcuterie board was not available and who eats brined olives with beer? I get focus on the wide range of beers, etc. offer, but the ownership really needs to rethink the concept and add a small, but decent selection of bar snacks to complement the experience. We won't be going back.

Yelp
When I visit St. Louis I tend to find my butt in a seat at one of Side Project's locations. On this visit, I made sure to get a visit in to the Cellar and to the Brewery. I actually ended up at Side Project Cellar twice during my time, and had some small pours each time. Visit One: M.J.K. (2024): A Double and Triple Barrel Aged Barleywine aged in Willett Family Estate Bourbon and Brazilian Amburana Barrels for 31 to 32 Months. This is one of my all time favorite beers. So good I got a pour of it both days. Shin Shin: An Imperial Stout aged in Willett Barrels and finished on Sump Coffee exclusive to Side Project and Canadian Maple Syrup. This was the last keg of this beer. Derivation (Blend #17): A Blend of Willett Bourbon and VSOP Cognac Barrel Aged O.W.K. and Vibes Recipes aged for 24 to 40 months. It was then thrown on Vanilla Beans from Sri Lanka and Tanzania. A delicious Vanilla bomb. Visit Two: As I said - had M.J.K. again. Electric Roads: An English Barleywine aged in Weller, Blantons, Elijah Craig, Bakers, and 1792 Barrels mixing Three Different Barleywine Recipes. Bubble Wrap (Blend #1): An Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with The Veil, Otherhalf, and weldwerks. The Stout was Aged in a Blend of Weller 6, Weller 7, Weller 12, Blantons, Rittenhouse Rye, and Old Fitzgerald Barrels for 12 to 37 Months. Then it was adjunct with Toasted Coconut, Sump Coffee, Vanilla Beans, and Fresh Ground Cinnamon. ______

Yelp
I came to Side Project during the Maplewood Coffee Crawl. They had an excellent coffee stout with rich coffee flavor prepared for the event. The atmosphere was really intimate and welcoming. Definitely a great date night place on a weekend. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Love the rustic tasting room for Side Project. Space is open and airy and allows patrons to swing by, relax and enjoy cold craft brews. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Easy to strike a convo with other patrons who also love the specialty craft. Blessed to have this sort of community in St. Louis!

Yelp
Great local stop for a date night, or just a place to go and unwind. Loved the vibe. The locals were friendly and the service superb. When you're looking for a different place to try, I highly suggest a stop here!!

Yelp
What a spectacular hidden gem that kind of sneaks up on you. This has been on our want to visit list for a while, but we honestly didn't put it at the top. What a mistake! So sad we haven't been here sooner. The beer selection is AMAZING, everything from Lambics to Imperial Stouts, many of the offerings are their own with a few outside ones mixed in. Now, neither myself nor my husband are fans of sour beers, but we were given samples of a couple different options to help us see where our threshold was. The SP Fuzzy Blend #5 was a little over the threshold for tartness, but still had the taste of fresh peaches and was worth the try. The bartender Devon was delightfully knowledgeable and eager to help us decide what we wanted to try. We were also given a sample of the Shared Fra-gee-lay which by far our favorite! It was rich and decadent, so yummy that we ordered a full pour to share. I ended up ordering the SP La Belle Fleur which was a nice balance of tart and crisp fruit, a perfect refreshing summer beer. My husband ordered a couple of different dark beers including their Dunkel and he absolutely loved them! The atmosphere was laid back and everyone was so friendly. We will be returning and bringing our friends with us!

Yelp
A small, intimate atmosphere where you can enjoy some of the finest beer in the entire United States on draft and bottle pours. Enough said. I was looking forward to my next visit from the moment I walked out the door.

Yelp
Chill, cozy spot to try a variety of some of the best beers made this side of the Mississippi. Draft beer on a rotating list, as well as a selection of barrel and aged bottles. Merch is cool and there is a library of games to play at the table. Smaller, more intimate feel than the larger brewery in town.

Yelp
Visited The Side Project Cellar on a Thursday with some coworkers and it was a great experience. I've been looking to checking out Side Project ever since I knew I was coming out to St. Louis area for work. The hype behind this brewery holds its weight and some! I was honestly a bit scared at first because they looked closed around 8pm, but Devin, the bartender, assured us that they were open. They have a healthy draft selection which includes their own stuff and guest beers. They have an extensive bottle selection for on site consumption too. If that doesn't catch your eye, they have a whiskey and bourbon wall for your enjoyment as well. It's a very spacious spot and great to go solo, on a date, or in a group. Devin, our bartender, was very helpful and knowledgeable with all of questions to provide great recommendations. I would certainly throw this place on your list to check out if you're a craft beer and/or bourbon enthusiast!

Yelp
Amazing beers, friendly and knowledgeable bartenders who will gladly pour you a taste, and generous patrons, I wish I went here more often! Great selection of whiskeys and other breweries too (saw Nogne, a Norwegian brewery I never see on tap, for example).

Yelp
I was taken on a first date here, and hats off to my new friend because it is a great vibe for a casual meet up, pre dinner! Tons of beers to try, and bourbon, too. No food that I know of.

Yelp
This was without question one of the highlights of our weekend in St. Louis. It's a small place with an intimate vibe. This is where you go if you're serious about drinking some of the best beers you've ever had in your life, whether it's a saison, a sour, or a stout. No shortage of interesting and excellent brews on draft and in bottles. It's a bit out of the way, roughly a 20 minute Uber from downtown St. Louis, but it's well worth the trip if you're looking for a unique experience.
