"Think of the Silver Stamp as stepping into a Midwest 1970s den replete with wood-paneled walls, low-slung ceilings, and vintage beer memorabilia lining the walls. The 2,400-square-foot beer bar in the Gateway District comes from Rose Signor, the former manager at Atomic Liquors, and Andrew Smith. Some of the decor takes the form of empty beer cans that can be found in liquor stores across the U.S. — each was sipped by one of the owners; the stacks are equal part artpiece and testimony to the Silver Stamp’s commitment to finding good brews. While the draft list changes regularly and bartenders are happy to guide visitors’ selections, no visit is complete without a celebratory shot of Underberg bitters." - Janna Karel
