The Simple Greek is Bringing Gyros to New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"I'm excited that The Simple Greek, a build-your-own bowl, salad and gyro brand featured on CNBC’s reality show The Profit, is opening a location at 419 Carondelet Street in the CBD — its first in the New Orleans area. I note that it was established as a franchise in 2016 and has spent the last year expanding nationally (30 locations as of 2018), most recently opening its first Louisiana shop near LSU in Baton Rouge, with additional spots planned in Los Angeles and Ankeny, Iowa, and second locations coming to the Houston and Atlanta areas. The CBD café will occupy an 1,800-square-foot ground-floor retail space in the newly renovated 419 Carondelet luxury apartments, where one other retail space will house a yoga studio and a third remains unrented. Marcus Lemonis, who turns around struggling restaurants on The Profit and whose family recipes primarily inspire the menu, describes the chain as healthy, wholesome Greek cuisine, and I’m intrigued to see how that concept translates to this new neighborhood spot." - Clair Lorell

Just as the name, don't expect too much. It's simple food. Healthy food, but don't expect too much flavor. It's fast food after all. The service it's average, the facilities are cold. If you are in a hurry and try to eat something healthy, this is an option, just be sure to make an ingredients good choice.

Simple Greek is a counter service Mediterranean restaurant. It’s small but the food the is tasty and you are in and out quickly. Super convenient to the Superdome, you build your own bowl. The woman who served us explained all the toppings and sauces and made some great recommendations. Wonderful to have a break from the fatty (but delicious) typical NoLa options and have something fresh and crunchy. I had a bowl with falafel and added a tasty tahini sauce. Highly recommend!

I recently had a fantastic dining experience that I wanted to share. The food was surprisingly affordable, and the quality was truly impressive. I was very pleased with how quickly my order arrived, which was perfect for my busy schedule. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. I would highly recommend this place for a delicious and efficient meal.

Make ur own rice bowl is great. Plenty of toppings to choose from and always fresh. The workers are very friendly and the plane is extremely clean and fast service. You need to try it for something Mediterranean.

The Simple Greek is my favorite spot in the city! The staff is always super friendly and they're helpful if you don't know what to order. Minimal wait time, clean, and the ingredients are super fresh. I got the chicken gyro bowl with tzatziki and red sauce. Amazing!!

Pleasantly suprised by The Simple Greek. As someone that has had gyros in about 8 states and numerous cities, the Traditional Gyro was near perfect!! The Shawarma Pita and hummus was great. I don't give reviews very often, but I had to leave one for this unique find in the Big Easy.

In world of butters, creams, and oils...it is nice to have a fresh meal. While primarily a business district spot, the food was still good near closing time. Pitas a little dry and and the chicken not as moist (but still good flavor). the veggies, hummus, taziki, and other meats were great. And the two gentlemen behind the counter were engaging, friendly, and fun!
