"Why did this hotel catch your attention? What's the vibe? What's the backstory? Tell us all about the accommodations. Any tips on what to book? Is there a charge for Wi-Fi? Drinking and dining—what are we looking at? And the service? What type of travelers will you find here? What about the neighborhood? Does the hotel fit in, make itself part of the scene? Is there anything you'd change? Any other hotel features worth noting? Bottom line: Worth it? Why?" - Tommie Ethington

Loved the art deco and the easy to use lighting options in the room. The shower was nice, with wand and rain head features. Soft bed, plenty of pillows, good mini bar, and nice staff in hotel. Parking valet for one day, you can go in and out for one one rate. Hotel has excellent restaurant the Wicked Butcher on premises.

Good hotel, beautiful building, excellent rooms. But the valet is terrible. Not only is it an egregious amount, $50 per night, the service is terrible. The two times we requested a car, it took over 30 minutes each time. I understand being busy, but as a guest, why am I paying $50 to have to wait 30+ minutes for my car? I was a valet manager at a different hotel downtown for 6 months and if I took 30+ minutes to bring back anyone's car I would've been unemployed. The point of valet is convenience. There is nothing convenient about the Sinclair's current valet operations.

Everyone, specifically the valet staff were incredibly kind and helpful! Definitely looking forward to returning! We stayed for our anniversary and I am so glad we did. There are many places to stay downtown, but the Sinclair is gorgeous, great location, and great staff.

Nunes was very professional. He always offered water and any other kind of assistance. Nunes is a uper friendly and helpful. They took great care of our car and delivered it quickly each time. We hope to see him again the next time we stay at The Sinclair.

The room I was initially given had bedsheets that weren’t clean, and had some dirt/dust stains and hair. Also, the windowsill had TONS of hair, almost as if someone had been shaving there. I don’t understand how housekeeping could have missed it. Although I initially contemplated changing to a different hotel, I went to the front desk to voice my concerns that my room had not been properly cleaned, and they were very apologetic and quickly moved me to a different room. The next room was much better, and my stay after that was overall a positive experience. The hotel itself gives off “The Shining” vibes, but in a very antique/historical kind of way. I liked how modern the rooms are with the touch screen control panels throughout.

This hotel was awesome. The bathroom mirror has a built in screen with music which is a nice touch for a hotel. You can check the weather and explore the area with eas having this feature. The bathroom also has cool lighting in the shower the colors can be changed with the touch of a button. The show has three shower head options that can be switched with the electronic controls as well. The room also has all electronic keypads to control the lights and shades with multiple different modes. The bed and bedding was nice quality super comfortable. Nice large TV. Nice pullout fridge with ample space and the coffee maker gave the option to choose espresso or regular coffee. Getting glass coffee cups is a nice touch to the regular disposable ones. Nice downtown area with multiple food options. Parking on the street was available. Paying meter parking was a good alternative to valet parking. Overall great hotel. One of my favorite Marriott hotels. Will definitely consider staying again if in the future.

Update - finally got a call from assistant GM turns out the manager I spoke with Sunday right after the issue could have initiated the refund herself with Expedia. Refund was issued, no further communication from the site or offers. I’m not one for wanting a bunch of free stuff, but a weekend stay would have been nice to actually experience the hotel we were looking forward to. At least the refund was resolved We booked this hotel a couple of months ago for our wedding night on March 8. We arrived to check in and they had given our room away and decided to give us a smaller room with a queen bed. We had asked why this occurred. They did not have an answer for us, except that they purposely overbook and ours had been given away. We asked that someone else be downgraded and we get upgraded due to the inconvenience they refused. We then had to go book a new hotel at a higher cost due to the last-minute booking The next day I called wanting to be able to be refunded due to we did not even stay at the hotel the manager April approved this and said that as soon as Expedia would call, she would approve the refund. Expedia has called multiple times this week. I have also called a minimum of 10 times to reach a manager and my calls have been dodged or I am told they are unavailable each time This has yet to be resolved. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and/or to use Expedia again. I’ve yet to receive to receive a call back from the hotel, and they have not yet answered calls or emails from Expedia to approve the refund If this is not resolved as soon as possible, I will be reporting Expedia and the Sinclair to the BBB for poor business practice

Valeria and the St. Clair Autograph Collection Hotel team went above and beyond! It was close proximity to Bass Hall where we saw Moulin Rouge and ate at some fantastic restaurants for my Birthday. The hotel's elegance and comfortable room (15th floor) were superb. Most importantly, Valeria's honesty in returning a lost bag containing valuable items, including my diamond earrings, was incredibly appreciated. Thank you again for y’all‘s hospitality and honesty. We 100% booking here again.
