Bed Nooks Are My Cozy Obsession This Fall | Vogue

"Newly opened, this storybook Hudson Valley stay has an Inn Keeper Suite bed nook that looked to the Austrian Alps for its Tyrolean, timber-framed hideout, blending Bavarian charm with the chocolate-box appeal of the English countryside; its inspiration lies firmly across the Atlantic, where characterful cottages and rural retreats have long mastered the art of the tucked-away, nostalgic nook." - Chloe Frost-Smith

A Noma Co-Founder Opens Ilis in Greenpoint | Eater NY

"Audrey Gelman, founder of the Wing, launched a line of coffee beans this week branded under the same name as Six Bells, the Cobble Hill "country store" she opened last year; the 12-ounce bags are $18 and were made in collaboration with Winchell Mountain Coffee Roasters, a Hudson Valley-based roastery." - Emma Orlow

Very disappointing experience. I ordered holiday decor on October 29th and it had no note of a backorder at that time. It is now November 18th and there is a backorder note now on the item's page that keeps getting farther and farther out. The company never reached out to indicate that my order was getting further and further delayed. I have been holding off putting up my Christmas tree for the garlands I ordered and wasted so much time. Wont be ordering from them again!

Great location - easy to access. Theyvhave all the goods - literally. Bought some pretty nice socks that are the thickest I've ever bought, and they get the job done. Highly recommend visiting.

Lovely store with super sweet staff! You don’t have to embrace the cottagecore lifestyle to find something you like here. I stumbled across this spot and immediately recognized it, having read about the fictional village of Barrow’s Greens, which serves as an intricate backstory to The Six Bells.

The store is beautiful & so well curated. I got this candle for $30 and it smells like a $100 candle—obsessed! Will certainly be back soon

Very pleased with this store and its contents. My order was shipped within the hour (not sure if this is typical but it was definitely a nice surprise!), and it arrived the next day- under 24 hours turnaround. I wanted to buy every single item, but the napkins were a great start, and they were even higher quality than I expected. When I opened it, the packaging was so nicely done, it looked gift-wrapped. Plus, the "fictional town" the store is imagined to be set in is too cute; I fell in love with the concept. I will shop here again- maybe in person next time!

Ugh always closed early and I just came all the way here to go to the store. Online says 6PM please stick to that or change close time to earlier.

Love these candies! My friend in NYC sent me these as a holiday gift. They showed up beautifully packaged and wrapped, with this amazing woodsy smell- I was just dying to open. As a candle lover, I can say these are not only stunning, but so fragrant - giving you that feel of being in the woods with hot coco and a good book! Super cozy essence. The cedar wick is so calming to the senses, and the different notes blend together seamlessly. Can’t wait to visit the store when I’m in new York again.

Thanks for blowing up my favorite childhood memories of visiting antique stores with my grandparents and father. That part of Ohio is special. Now you are harvesting the culture and selling it for a huge markup. I pray your Vanity Fair article doesn’t bleed those special stores dry.

Yelp
As far as I could ascertain, I did not in fact step out of Cobble Hill and directly into a Wes Anderson movie when I opened the door of this establishment, but I mean, I may as well have. This store has its own characters and storyline and made up town and random townspeople that "explains" its products ("The Six Bells takes its inspiration from a tiny shop located in the fictional village of Barrow's Green.") No, really. Too twee by an exponential power, this place feels like it was constructed as a part of some absurdist hipster Brooklyn joke, although a lot of its content felt like it would fit more in a country store upstate than a city shop. Items (lamps, vases, bedding) were unsurprisingly at expensive, bespoke level pricing. After staring around dumbfounded for a few minutes until I clarified for myself that what I was seeing was real, I went down the block to one of the countless stores that was a store selling actual merchandise in the current world and town I inhabited to secure the gift I had been shopping for.
