😑 不要叫炒蜆。They tried to convince us those are fully cooked and it's safe to cosume even they were not open. They gave us glove to hand open them. Yes, they were fully cooked but since they were not opened, the sauce can't get inside which means the meat don't have much taste at all. We still paid for this as they didn't want to give us a refund on this dish. Anyway, out of food safety, customer confident and their business reputation, they really should stop selling this.

Google
Seems they changed the owner, the delivery package written “Discovery fusion”. The chicken chest bone becomes a completely different item, a small piece of chicken bone takes $16?

I’m a huge fan of Chinese BBQ and this spot did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of their BBQ skewers and they have the perfect blend of spice; so savory and so good. My favorite was the beef tendon and beef skewer. I also loved their potato tornado! It’s basically a giant fried fry covered in spices. It reminds me of the first time I tried that in China. I would also recommend getting their bone marrow and spicy noodles! Their bone marrow is one of the best I’ve had!

There are hot plates allegedly to keep the food warm but when I asked our waitress to light ours, she said they were basically just for show lol. But still obliged. The skewer seasoning is not spectacular so those get old after awhile. The tables are close together. They are very eager for quick table turnovers as there is usually a crowd. They get you the check fast but not much service otherwise. It was hard to flag them down for water or other utensils. The paper cups and decor is cute. They have the exact same dishes that look exactly the same as some other skewer places. The drink selection is good though.

Google
The environment is great, kind of like street grill bar in China. If you want to eat something interesting, like some insects, you should be here. The taste is good, but the price is too high. One beef or lamb skewer is almost 3 dollars, we two people ordered one more fired rice in case we were not full.

Google
The BBQ stinky tofu is authentic, and the BBQ whole eggplant is delicious and flavorful. The vibe is lively, and the ordered foods come quickly. The service is acceptable, but the utensils are plastic and not eco friendly.

Google
We arrived around 8pm and there was no line :) they have a huge list of drinks options, which cover my childhood favs and trendy drinks. The restaurant has interesting interior and exterior designs. Grilled items tasted okay (not too spicy) but pretty salty and greasy. The service was pretty good actually. They responded quickly to our missing order requests and served them fast.

Google
Really good place to try skewers. It tastes yummy and traditional, except bread. It is a little bit sweet, while in my hometown of China, it should salty and spicy. The flavors are good, and there are multiple choices for foods. Besides, there also have popular beverages in China. Recommend this place for people who loves BBQ.

Yelp
Really wish I took more food photos of this establishment! I personally think the food was amazing and very tasty. My group ordered a variety of food and we would all agree that there was not one item we did not like. To order you scan the QR code on the table and place orders from your phone. The food came out pretty quick. I was interested in the tofu with pepper sauce and was very surprised by the delicious taste. The restaurant felt very "homey" as you eat with paper plates along with the seating giving a very cozy feeling. They also have 2-player Street Fighter near the entrance which is very cool and gave me a nostalgic feeling. The air conditioning wasn't working when we were dining which wasn't much of an issue, I personally wish the prices were a LITTLE bit cheaper for the amount of food you get per skewer. Other than that I would love to revisit this place again.

Yelp
Another go-to skewer spot. They have an extensive menu with a wide variety of grilled, fried, and baked dishes. We picked a few from each category and enjoyed our meal~ It was also a great place to catch up with friends over some BBQ! Some of my top favorites were: tofu with cumin and pepper sauce, lamb skewers, king mushrooms, grilled whole eggplant, and stir-fried chicken skin.

Yelp
Finally came back to The Skewer Bar after trying it via a yelp elite event at the beginning of the year! It was nice trying a variety of items that weren't available in the event. Staff is attentive and food comes out quickly. It also generally has that very laid back and chill vibe inside, so it's a great spot to come and unwind after a long work day. My favorites from this trip were the potato tornado, golden fried rice, corndog with cheese, and the mini beef skewers. I'm not usually much of a fried rice person but I enjoyed theirs so much. Only minor complaint/suggestion would be to add some different seasonings as they essentially use the same blend for everything.

Yelp
I've had my eye on The Skewer Bar for some time but never got around to actually giving them a try. With my daughter being a selective eater, that has always made me second guess coming here. Since BD has been on a low/no carb kind of journey, he decided to make this dinner for the night. At first glance, this place is very POP and exudes chill vibes. Music is blasting, laughter echos in the restaurant, & everyone seems so relaxed. This is your typical spot to hit up after a long, stressful day of work to gossip, chit chat, & throw back a few bottles over skewered proteins. The menu is accessed via QR Code. I took it upon myself to take screenshots of the menu since there wasn't anything available on yelp to view- you're welcome in advance. LOL. There are a ton of eats!! Proteins available: beef, chicken, lamb, innards, seafood, tofu, & veggies to choose from. Some potential "bizarre foods" that may catch you off guard are: grasshopper, lamb testicles, silkworms, stinky tofu, pork brain, & bullfrog. Staff is very kind but there is a bit of a language barrier. Communication takes a bit of time if you are not Chinese. Don't hesitate to speak up regarding questions or requests, the staff will absolutely do their best to accommodate. Purchases: Lamb Kidney Grilled Beef Bone Marrow Lamb Beef Steak BBQ Chicken Skewers Whole Squid Tentacles Boneless Duck Feet Chicken Wings Chicken Gizzards Chicken Skin Beef Tendon Taiwan Sausage Shrimp Lamb Rib King Golden Durian Rolls [5pcs] Rice Noodle Soup [not spicy] Our tab easily surpassed 100 bucks- but!! As a full disclosure, we are a family who likes to eat. Lmao!! This type of cuisine is easily modified- eat as much or snack on as little as you wish. Each item is customizable to your liking- feel free to omit spice, certain ingredients/seasonings. All of the purchases were pretty good- the standout items were the chicken skins, the lamb ribs, & chicken gizzards. The letdown of the night was 100% the King Golden Durian Rolls. These are nothing like the dim sum version and the durian flavoring is absolutely artificial, no real fruit is present. 4/5 stars. I'd come back again and will absolutely try a few other dishes that I wasn't able to try this time around. My 5yo couldn't deal with the herbs and spices even after we requested for zero spice so maybe this isn't the place for kids. As an added warning, this cuisine is not recommended for those who are sensitive towards authentic Asian flavors and smells. For those who love to try new things or have an extremely open mind, this place is worth giving a visit.

Yelp
I love me some Chinese style skewers! Our group of three came on a Sunday evening and were able to be seated right away. They have QR codes on the table which you can scan and place your order. After sending our orders in, our food started coming out after about 5 minutes. I got the mini lamb and mini beef skewers along with an order of spicy noodles. The spicy noodles were good but also kind of small for the price of $9.99. I loved the mini beef and mini lamb skewers (10 for $5) because even though there's a small amount on each skewer, since there were many sticks, it felt like I was eating a lot LOL. My boyfriend prefers the thicker meat skewers so ultimately, it's just your preference. The seasoning on the meat is delicious, a good mix of savory spiciness. I tried a bite of my boyfriend's lamb chop and it was really good too! I was debating on ordering one for myself but ended up just ordering a toast since the lamb took the longest to come out. The toast was a good dessert to end the meal with. I think there are cheaper skewer places that I've been to, but the price isn't the worst. The vibes are decent and they play good music. Parking was also really easy to find. Definitely give this restaurant a shot if you're in the area!

Yelp
I have try a lot of skewers places and this has always been my favorite. It's the flavor that kept me stay loyal to them. They used to have frog legs dish and it was my favorite to get along with the skewer. They speak mostly Chinese/ broken English. It's a small spot with a traditional decoration. It gets busy quickly so plan ahead :))

Eena B.

Yelp
Food and seasoning was good. The staff weren't much help. It wasn't busy at all and the 10pc mini beef skewers came 40 minutes after we ordered. You could hardly call the skewers mini. It was basically just left over beef crumbs on a stick. There was more beef on the edges of the bone marrow than the mini skewers combined. Cucumber salad was bomb though. Multiple of our orders never came out so we just got a refund. They claimed they were still working it in the kitchen but we watched new customers get their orders before us. Ambiance is okay. Candles don't light up and the plate is just for show. The room temp is cold enough to cool your food in a minute. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
Delicious food - note the mini skewers are very small. I would just avoid that in general. But the other food is amazing Great and quick service Nice atmosphere. Plenty of indoor seating

Yelp
I was super excited for these skewers, but I was so disappointed by this presentation. Only 4 skewers? Can't tell the meats apart.

Yelp
Came here Saturday night with my boyfriend. The restaurant is located in the Morrill Target plaza, but faces Landess Ave so it looks like there's only one row of parking, but you could park in the Target area and walk over, although it is not brightly lit in the evening. The restaurant was loudly decorated, which means lots of art on the wall and different types of lamps. They also had a King of Fighters arcade in the front which is free to play. You first order through a QR code. The menu was extensive and included non-skewered food, although we stuck to just skewers. Although the seasoning for all the skewers were the same, the vegetables really stood out to me. The best items in my opinion were the A-choy, mushrooms, and beef. The lamb was good too, but I found the smaller pork skewers tough and hard to remove from the sticks. The buns were good too. The waiters just bring out the food when they are ready and place them on tray in the middle of the table. There's also a holder to hold the used skewers so you can track how much you ate. This is definitely a place to come and drink with friends, but it was enjoyable even without alcohol! Would definitely come back here.

Yelp
Love this place!! The skewers are phenomenal, everything is strongly seasoned and bursting with spices. The service is fairly quick for how busy they are. Great spot for late night bites and drinks with friends. Honestly the tastiest Chinese skewers I ever had.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here so many times and we crave for it every weeeek. Beef tendon is our must order item, we love all the skewers there. We see people ordering golden fried rice and finally tried it, honestly it was okay. Highly recommend Beef tendon Pork knuckles Lamb is good too Gizzard is good too
google avatar

Jenning L.

Yelp
This is a nice, casual place to grab late night dinner with friends. Water is immediately put on the table and you're expected to order and view the menu via the QR code. Which of course is a bit impersonal but it standard with a lot of Chinese restaurants. The skewers comes out as they're ready and get placed on the stone plate thingy in the middle of the table (doesn't keep it warm, it's just a place to hold the skewers). It's kind of funny watching the waiters come out with the skewers literally in hand and not on a plate . All the skewers are very tasty but I don't recommend the mini skewers, not enough meat on the skewers to be worth it. The bread dessert is good and I'd recommend! They can miss your order so I would double check that everything came out before paying. Pricing is standard for skewers (I think) which is to say it's definitely not the cheapest as we paid about $47 per person for what we ordered to get full.

Yelp
Service: normal nothing bad or extremely amazing Ambiance: cute, lots of cute designs on drink packages, large drink selection that is pretty aesthetic Food: delicious! Not too oily like other spots, tastes clean. Was surprised about the corn portion
google avatar

Jacki E.

Yelp
-not as much grilled aroma as Chef liu but this is the only other option that comes close -they didn't light up our hot plate -the meat on the lamb skewers were so tiny it's as though you pulled the meat off and whatever was leftover stuck to the stick
google avatar

Vi T.

Yelp
3.8 is about right. Would be 4.5 but... The tray for the skewers is not heated. Soups should have more "stuff" in it for the price. Personally, I don't like QR orders. Feels impersonal. Otherwise, food is GREAT. Service is kind and the atmosphere is fun (good music and ambiance). For the heated trays alone, I would increase this review to 5 stars. Necks were especially delicious! Shared the leftovers and they were dude approved! Melikes.

Yelp
I've drive past this place and many times and finally decided to try it. I thought we were grilling the bbq stick ourselves but it comes out cooked. It's a very small casual dining spot. Has a QR code menu and order online. Service was very fast. I'd say it's a great place with a bigger group than 2 people so you can try all the different things in the menu. If you like weird stuff like pig ears and gristle and tendon. This is the place for you. I recommend the chicken gizzards, chicken gristle and the beef tendon. It all has the same seasoning on the meat. Wish they all had different flavors. The noodles looked good but we ended up with steamed rice. Overall decent place and would return to try something new. I give this place a 3 1/2 star.
google avatar

Laney C.

Yelp
Great for the vibes!! They have a huge variety of skewers but each skewer was pretty small, so our group ordered a bunch. The skewers were all very flavorful (I liked the tofu skin the most) and very heavily seasoned.
google avatar

Yelp
I was craving Chinese skewers and we were in the area, so we stopped by here. We got the spicy enoki, tripe, chicken gizzard skewer, mini beef skewer, scallop with vermicelli, spicy river snail, bone marrow, and fried milk. My favorite dish was the spicy enoki since the flavors were so good, followed up by the chicken gizzard, and in 3rd place the fried milk. Next time I'll skip the scallop with vermicelli since it had so much garlic on it. I usually like garlic but it was so much that I couldn't taste the scallop. We were almost done eating when we noticed our bone marrow never came out so we told them about it. They definitely forgot it because it came out shortly after we told them. If I am craving chinese skewers and I'm in Milpitas, I'd come back.

Yelp
Really fun spot to come for dinner, super vibrant and colorful from the outside and you get a huge whiff of bbq smell that gets you hungry. This place is perfect for drinking dinner/drinks. The skewers are coated graciously with that five spice/peppery seasoning but isn't too salty. Has just the right amount of heat also and they come out nice and charred. Some faves where the mini beef skewers, actual beef chunk skewers, chicken gizzard, chicken skin, and the spicy enoki was super good ! We ended up ordering so many things to try that it's easy to lose track of things as you order from an eye pad and with the appeal of the food you just kind of end up tapping everything. Service was really quick though as our food came fairly quickly and piping hot! They also have a little arcade machine inside that you can play if there's a wait
google avatar

Yelp
Skewer Bar is a must try if you're looking to dive into the flavors of Northern Chinese style skewers! From skewers, side dishes, beer and an abundance of non-alcoholic drinks ... it really doesn't get better than this. Great place to get together, drink and have some small eats and yap. Definitely, not a place to be "full" and more of a social and/or drinking food. They have $1 cans of Snow beer, which an easy to drink beer and nice and light. Perfect for cutting through the spicy and oily skewers. 10 Mini Beef Skewers - sooo tiny, they give you 10 skewers for a reason. Each has the tiniest morsel of meat, I would pass on this. It does taste good and is nice and fatty, just so small. Lamb Skewers - delicious, fatty and not too gamey Chicken Skin - super crispy, think pork rinds but with chicken Tofu Skin - a great substitute for the prior but made with tofu, slightly crisp and a good chew Squid Tentacles - nice bouncy texture and fresh tasting Taiwanese Sausage - sweet, savory and fatty. Steam Bun - steam buns brushed with their signature spice blend, this is a good accompaniment to any of the meat options Fish Ball with Roe - if you know, you know. Soft, but bouncy fish bowls with roe filling. Kabocha Fries with Salted Egg - this was a shock to the table, but the kaboca fries were thick cut, hearty with a light tempura style breading. Light and crispy with tender interior. The fries are then tossed in a salted egg sauce and was the perfect blend of salty, sweet and fatty. I really enjoy the cumin and chili forward spice blend they use for a majority of their skewers. Very addicting and accents all the meats and non-meat well. Service was quick, skewers came out quickly. Vibe was really chill, just everyone having a good time over skewers yapping it up and spilling tea. Comfortable seating and the place is a decent size.

Yelp
Great place for quick and flavorful skewers. When coming in the entrance is a bit small due to a arcade box being right at the entrance. I feel like they could make do without it. There is a lot of seating and honestly would be fine with a larger party. Most of their tables seem to be made out for 4 people groups. You order through a QR code. Which I like for this kind of food. Most of it comes out quick and it is easy to order. They have a lot of options. I came here a good handful of times and have not tried everything yet.
google avatar

Valerie N.

Yelp
The only thing I wish they did was use heat foe their trays but other than that, the skewers are really good! I enjoyed the potato swirl and crispy tofu skin. The service was just okay and this place is pretty packed. We initially signed up on their yelp waitlist but they didn't bring us in unless we stood at the door.
google avatar

Jacquelene P.

Yelp
I am craving this spot as I currently type this. They've got the best seasoned skewers and friend rice I've tried at a skewer place. It's the perfect explosion of umami flavors. I would consider this more of an upscale skewer place as you don't get too many quantity for the price. But the quality and selection of items were so great - for example they have bone marrow which most skewer places don't carry. Everything is more on the savory salty side so I recommend pairing with a good side of rice or good cold beer.

Joseph K.

Yelp
This review is specifically for their take out service. It was late by 40 minutes, and took 70 minutes from after placing the order. Service is terrible, no apologies for the delay at all
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
A popular skewer place that serves spicy Chinese bbq. The interior is small and seats are limited so expect to wait during peak eating hours. At 6pm on a Friday, there was already a short waitlist. There were some parts of our meal that I liked, and some I didn't like. I really liked the mobile ordering method via QR code, it was simple to add additional items to our table throughout our meal. This method also eliminates the need to interact with the servers, some of whom didn't speak English. The service itself was just okay, they just bring you skewers from the kitchen and won't stop by again until you flag them down. I'm not sure what the point of the griddle on the table is. It seems like it has the capability to be lit to keep the food hot, but none of the tables had it on and the servers didn't bother to light any. It just appears as a fancy holder for the skewers. I think the griddle would've helped because some of the skewers came out lukewarm or cold. I really liked the beef skewers - delicious, tender and juicy. However, many of the skewers were dry, especially the pork ones. We did not finish the mini pork skewers because they almost tasted like jerky - they were so dry and chewy! Like most Chinese BBQ restaurants, all of the skewers have the same spicy flavor. I thought the spice was at a good level and the meat was definitely very flavorful. However, some skewers were way too oily for me. It's greasier than other Chinese bbq skewer places I've tried. We were also surprised to find, not one, but TWO hairs in our potato salad. (Photo attached of one of the hairs) After a disappointing meal, that was the cherry on top. (Or should I say...hair on top) I would say this place is average to below average in terms of meat quality, grill technique, service, and spicy flavoring. Maybe it's good for Bay Area? Not sure. For me, it's nothing special and I will probably try somewhere else next time.

Yelp
For starters, they have some amazing prices here, it's super affordable. The food is pretty solid, we actually really liked their noodles. You have to get their skewers for obvious reasons and they have a wide selection to choose from. I can tell it gets lively at night time even though we went at dinner time. Super nice interior

Jessie L.

Yelp
Came here a few weeks ago with my family and my oldest daughter loves the "chicken butt" and my youngest daughter loved the sausages. My husband and I throughly enjoyed the meat skewers such as lamb and beef. The service was refreshing and the waiters kept refilling our water jug before we even asked! This is definitely a fun outgoing dining experience compared to a more serious one you would take the whole family though, but nothing wrong with that! We all enjoyed our time here
google avatar

Monica H.

Yelp
@theskewerbar_sj was such a lively place to hangout and enjoy some meats on sticks. We enjoyed their mobile ordering where you scan a QR code and can add and order as you want. The food came shortly after and it kept piling up! Which we did not mind at all, we said keep 'em coming it seems like each item was the same seasoning and it has a bit of a kick to it and was good. We love the variety of meats, rice, noodles, snacks you can get. They even had meat we've never tried before like chicken head! The interior was also nicely decorated and the vibes definitely reminded us of a bar which fit the name perfectly. Only thing is if you need service, it's kind of hard to get their attention since they're always on the move. If you're looking for a real Chinese restaurant experience with quick food, or just a place to hangout with friends, be sure to check them out!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Tasty skewers, sides and more! I don't know how I forgot to take a photo but their beef steak skewers were the best. Juicy chunks of beef doused generously with their signature seasoning. You'll find that most if not all of their skewers have the same seasoning, but it's a really delicious seasoning at that! If you're prone to flavor fatigue, it's a good idea to order a few sides to switch it up. I really liked their cabbage, deep fried potatoes, and flat jelly noodles w/spicy sauce (don't know how I didn't take a picture again). The flat jelly noodles were so chewy, flavorful, and spicy. Cucumber salad was a solid refresher and the golden fried rice was pretty plain. The only items I wouldn't order again would be the BBQ chicken skewers (dry) and the oyster (small). Service was pretty much the bare minimum of bringing out our food. They didn't light up the candle to keep the skewers warm, and also were a bit hard to wave down for the check. But loved the neon light signage here and they have games to play. The vibes also brought me back to China!
google avatar

Ally L.

Yelp
We frequent this spot a lot and is now our favorite Chinese bbq place since trying it out a couple months ago. Our old go-to for Chinese bbq used to be in Sunnyvale but Skewer Bar is much more consistent, and everything we've ordered has always been packed with so much flavor. The place is also spacious and modern. Service is quick. Highly recommend it!

Megan A.

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a weekday night, and it's such a fun place to try! There are so many different types of skewers you can order, as well as other appetizers and rice/ noodle dishes. Most of the skewers have the same cumin/ chili seasoning, and some can be fairly spicy. My favorite was the lamb and pork belly! It's a place to enjoy various skewers with friends and drink, too!
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
I love the spices on the skewers. The fried rice is really good. Not a fan of the eggplant dish. Service is polite and knowledgeable. It's a small space. I would go here for late night or snacking.

Daria M.

Yelp
This place is one of our favs. It's open relatively late, which is a plus. The place itself is pretty cute. The food is getting served pretty fast, and the staff is friendly! They're always super attentive to us. The skewers and fried rice are tastyyy. A huge bonus is that the line is usually not too long compared to other places that serve skewers. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Can't believe I never reviewed this place and I come here every so often. Their prices are very decent and reaosnable, which is why I always come back, and so are the portions. They used to not give a tall bottle of water until the past year or so. Thank god because everything I order is spicy and oily! My favorites are the beef skewers, a choy, taiwanese sausage, chicken skin, toasted buns, etc! They also have exotic drink choices and alcohol as well. Don't come here to expect to have great service. They just bring your food out and leave you alone. Gotta flag them down HARD if you have a question or need something sometimes. That's how it is, but you come here for food and vibes. I'm sure they are the same owner of the discovery fusion as well.
google avatar

Vicki H.

Yelp
Even before you enter the restaurant, you can smell the bbq meats in the air! We went around 6 and got seated right away. I love the variety of skewers you can get plus appetizers and rice/noodle dishes! My boyfriend and I's favorite was the mini beef skewers. It was tiny but packed with flavor! I also really enjoyed the fried chicken skewer. My boyfriend said it tasted like Lay's barbecue chips. The crispy rice cake was a nice palate cleanser in between all the spicy skewers. The cold shredded potato appetizer was refreshing and delicious. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're craving Chinese style skewers!

Yelp
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Came here after a long day of climbing so I was definitely in the mood for some scrumptious proteins on a stick. The first thing that caught my attention was the neon sign outside, so much so that I had to throw a quick Lightroom edit on it . Walking thru the doors, you're greeted with a very decorated interior. There's not so much space inside, but it doesn't feel crowded. We were lucky to be seated right away. ORDERING/SERVICE: Ordering was very simple and I didn't feel rushed at all, it's all on your phone scanning a QR code on the table. Skewers come out as they are ready. Servers are around to fill up water and check on you. We ordered a good amount and the check was about 65$. FOOD: Here is what I ordered - Lamb, mini beef skewer, pork belly, squid tentacles, boneless chicken feet, chicken skin, shrimp, grilled scallops, flaming duck gizzard, tofu skin, mushroom, grilled beef bone marrow, and white rice to pair. There are some really exotic skewers on the menu which would go great with a beer. My favorite were the scallops and lamb. Mini beef skewers were good but there wasn't much on the skewer - plus the skewer was metal as well so it was kinda tricky to eat around it. Bone marrow was delicious if that's your thing, and definitely order some rice because everything is well seasoned! WHAT COULD BE BETTER: There are a couple things I think need to be done before I could offer this place 5 stars. First off, the platter that your skewers sit on looks like it's supposed to keep your food hot, but there is no heat and it does nothing at all (at least during my visit). Everything is well seasoned BUT everything seems to be seasoned the same, after a while into the meal it started tasting very similar. Additionally, I think having some specialty house sauces to pair would improve the tastings. VERDICT: Overall a great place to visit if you're in the mood for skewers and the ambiance is wonderful!!!

Yelp
The inside looks better than the outside of the restaurant. The storefront does not look appealing but as soon as you enter the door it has a nice very welcoming vibe. Ordered the beef, lamb, port intestine, Berkshire pork, pork belly, Chicken Skin, fish ball and Enoki mushroom plate. Their seasonings is similar to other Skewer places I've tried. Spice level is just enough to have the flavor and not kill your taste buds from tasting other flavors. I liked the beef the most. It was not too chewy. The lamb was also good and not gamy. Pork Belly and Berkshire pork tasted pretty similar. The only difference for me was the cut and how tender the meat was. The Berkshire pork seemed more tender because they were cut in cubes vs the thinner slices of the pork belly. The pork intestines were pretty gamy which was not a surprise. First time trying intestine prepped this way. The Chicken Skin is usually my have to have at most Skewer restaurants so I've tried quite a few. I wish they were more crispy throughout. They were crispy but a got chewy after the first bite. The fish ball had roe/fish egg filling which was interesting. Not fishy at all despite being made with from fish and having the roe as filling. Was just for me because I prefer fish ball fried vs grilled. The Enoki mushroom plate was pretty good. Had salty, sweet and spicy flavor. Price was similar to other Skewer restaurants at a round $2.79 per stick. Food came out fast and hot.

Yelp
I used to love this place and recommended it to so many friends and family, but my recent visit was so disappointing. For starters, most of our skewers came out not hot. This is so surprising since the appeal of skewers are the way they're grilled and brought to you fresh and made the food not enjoyable. It was also missing that grill flavor you usually get at skewer places. We decided to try something new this time and got shrimp. To my surprise I was served baby shrimp! For the price of around $6.50 I am literally shocked they would serve this. I even checked with a server who just dismissed my concern and said that it was what I ordered. We decided to just cut our loss and finish our meal and leave hungry. The cold skewers and the small size of the food was so unappetizing and I feel scammed by the price. They also use disposable utensils now which I feel like takes away from the dining experience. With the amount of skewer places in the area, this place is no longer worth a visit.

Yelp
First time here. The ambience was really good with lots of colorful lighting. Lots of seating inside. Food was ok. There's a bunch of mini skewer on menu and I found those too tiny. The mojito sparkling wine taste like regular ginger ale to me. Make sure you order the regular skewer and not the mini ones. Service was good also.

Yelp
This place's vibes are immaculate- a beautiful backdrop for photos in the corner AND a free street fighter cabinet right by the entrance. The service was also nice always making sure we had enough water and asking questions about the items, with the kitchen giving us a free dish that had an amazing herbal taste and I'm excited to come back again once they've released it on the menu! All the skewers had this delicious spice rub on it which to a majority, won't be spicy enough to worry about. For dessert, we also had the fried banana which had plenty of filling and the coconut lava cakes which were downright addicting. The portions were a little vague, as although the skewer count for the fish cakes were not stated and showed 3, it only gave us two. A helpful tip would be to assume that if the amount stated for skewers isn't listed, it's most likely less than shown in the picture. Overall, amazing place and pleasant staff- perfect for group hang outs and meat that'd pair perfectly with alcohol.

Yelp
I would say 3.5 but rounding down because I don't plan on coming back anytime soon. kinda pricey for the amount of food we had, though the food wasn't too bad. service was friendly and accommodating - we marked some orders with low salt and they double checked with us about it on a few of them. we were somewhat disappointed with the "deep fried potatoes with special sauce" - they were tater tots y'all x_X not a lot of it either. it was an interesting experience, since I've watched food vlogs of people having BBQ skewers in China and was pretty excited to try this. overall I'd have to say I was underwhelmed though.

Yelp
I loved it and will be returning soon! All of the skewers and dishes are very flavorful and tasty! Service is pretty fast, as the servers are always on their feet and dropping off food. The interior reminds me of a late night hang out spot! The only downside, in my opinion, is that you can't really keep track of what dishes you've ordered once you've submitted your order. If you can't keep track, it's a bit of a guessing game. Otherwise, I loved the food here

Yelp
Can't go wrong with Chinese Skewers especially this place. Parking is a bit tough if the plaza is busy but you can also park in the lot next to it as it's by a Target. The outside of the restaurant has neon signs which are hard to miss at night! Great ambiance for groups of four and more as it seems like a late night spot to drink and eat! Prices were definitely a little higher than expected so get ready to spend more for smaller portions. The staff were also very attentive and listed everything that we ordered when the food came out since we did have a party of six. Cold Potato Salad (2/5) - not that great, was expecting more of a refreshing crunch but under up soaking up the oil at the bottom Garlic cucumber (5/5) - very refreshing and garlicky, like that the portions were decent for this dish Potato, lotus root skewer (4/5) - great flavor, they did a good job coating the outside with crispy batter as it did not get soggy even while it was sitting out for a while...however it was drenched in oil when it first came out so had to let it sit and drip out before eating Chives & A-Choy (5/5) - evenly coated and has a bit of a kick Oysters (5/5) - big, juicy, and most importantly fresh! one of the best garlic bake oysters i've had in a really long time. doesn't have and sand or shells in the oyster

Yelp
The food here is so good and it has a great atmosphere. The place is a little small but once you get a table it's a fun experience. Definitely going back
