The Essential Cheap Eats of Burlington, Vermont - Eater Montreal

"Crepes are the focus at this breakfast-centric, Lake Champlain waterfront hotspot. But if skinny pancakes aren’t your thing, there’s a variety of heartier fare like Vermont-style poutine (made with local cheese curds), burgers (with Vermont cheddar), and biscuits and gravy. Most of the menu is under $10." - Heather Platt

Went for Sunday brunch. Place was busy but there was plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Good vibe. Looks like they are set up for live music outside, which would be great on a balmy summer evening. I had “The Vegan” which had seitan and vegetables and vegan cheese on a buckwheat crepe. Also a vegan chocolate milkshake. All very good. Note also the hallway to the bathrooms features an endangered species 270 degree visual and audio experience. Check it out!

I recently visited The Skinny Pancake, and I can’t stop thinking about it! This cozy spot is a crepe lover’s dream come true. Staff was friendly but not very independent we had to do certain stuff by ourselves, food was great. I had the LoveMaker

Google
We were delighted to find vegan crepes on the menu, along with other vegan options. We had a great meal. Excellent service, funky vibe. Be sure to check out the art in the hallway to the restaurant - it’s ver fun. Highly recommended.

The food was fantastic. We ordered 2 different crepes but with buckwheat as one of us have celiacs. They took the allergy seriously which was much appreciated and the food was much better than we expected considering they were suing buckwheat as the alternative. Will definitely be eating here again when we visit. Loved that they are open a little late so when you’re in more of a breakfast for dinner mood they have options available.

A solid 4 out of 5 for the food, service, and atmosphere. I had a sweet crepe with Nutella, strawberries and banana. Was it the best crepe I've ever had? No But was it very good? Yes. And the view, although somewhat obstructed, if lake Champlain added to the overall experience. Again, a solid 4 of 5.

Me personally I’m not a fan of soggy fruit… we went for breakfast and I had ordered a crepe… me never having a crepe I thought ooo this is gonna be good ABSOLUTELY NOT!! -10/10. 1st time for everything and it’s safe to say I won’t be ordering one again!

Great breakfast spot on the lake. Went on a chilly spring Monday morning at 8:30 and it was empty. Started to get busy by 9:30.

Google
Shockingly bad - that's the only way I can describe the service that we received. It started very understandable; a thirty minute wait, for a beloved local joint is expected on a Sunday morning. After getting a seat, it was a little confusing to be told that we ordered at a counter. Still, I can accept that I don't know all the reasoning behind service decisions of a local business. Five minutes in a line stinks, but I was taught patience as a child. But to then be subjected to a thirty to forty minute wait for our orders to be brought out, as the rest of our party had their (more complex) orders delivered before us was galling. That can't help but color my perception of the rest of the experience. Was my crepe and ice cream really good? Sure! Was the atmosphere laid-back and music selection enjoyable? Definitely! But no amount of blueberries is worth that wait, and as much as I love Chris Stapleton's Joy of My Life, it is deeply grating when I'm clutched in Hanger. I also don't want to necessarily blame the staff, either, who greeted us with attentive smiles and warmth. These problems seem structural to me. Hate to say it, but I don't think I can recommend Skinny Pancake to friends heading up this way - at least not on a Sunday. Maybe one day if I'm ever back this way I'll take another chance. I just hope some of these issues are addressed eventually, because this was one heck of a frustrating dining experience.

Yelp
Hands down the best crepes I've ever had. I ordered the Veggie Monster with Cabot cheddar, spinach, roasted squash, caramelized onions, and basil-sunflower seed pesto. This crepe was filled to the brim with ingredients and was DELISH--savory breakfasts are my thing, and this hit the spot. I also ordered the iced chai (so yummy!) and ate a portion of the Heartbreaker (nutella, strawberries, banana), which didn't hold a candle to the savory crepe but was still good. The ambience is average but service is friendly and the food is fantastic. Wish they had one where I live!

Yelp
7/18/24 Not a great place to bring young kids. Only 1 working high chair, and it's more or less self serve. I came alone with a 1 year old, was given the choice of no shade outside or no access for a high chair/stroller so I'd be holding the kiddo. Took the sun, and got passed up for the opportunity to move to the other accessible shaded areas by other customers. Moved myself after waiting for food for 30 minutes and was asked to move. /; They did bring the high chair out for us when it came available! It is self-order by app or counter, and self serve on water or coffee. Being alone and outside with all of our baby stuff made that really difficult I asked one "younger" brunette employee if she could bring a water out to help me out. She told me "sorry it's self serve". Asked a blonde (yellow shirt) and she was happy to help. She was really awesome, helped get us moved inside once the sun became too much around 35 minutes and getting the boot from the shaded table. The food was okay. The crepe itself is sturdy, but lacks flavor. This is awesome if you're wanting the filling to really stand out, a little disappointing if you're just wanting a plain jane crepe. Pork sausage was really good. Full size Crepes are a pretty good price for volume. Sustainable, paper to-go materials (full size boxes and the crepe specific container) is much appreciated!

Yelp
I made it a point to come here specifically for the delicious crepes, the fact that it was close to downtown and the waterfront, and that no one in our group has been there before. So glad I did. We parked at the public parking by the waterfront and walked up. We picked our own table for 3 adults and 1 child near the front exit. Yeah, there was no waiting. You can get up and order at the counter or you can order using a QR code at the table. They will bring you water if you order it on the app but if you order coffee you can get it yourself at the bar by the front door. That was some of the best coffee I've ever had. We each ordered one crepe to third up and share so everyone gets to taste: Apples and Brie - Apples, Creamy Brie, And Local Blueberry Compote Cheesy Chicken Pesto - Pulled Chicken, Basil Sunflower Seed Pesto, Caramelized Onions, VT Mozzarella And Cheddar Cheese Chicken Bacon Rancher - Pulled Chicken, Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Cheddar Cheese And Housemade Ranch Out of the 3, the Apples and Brie was my favorite. I was thinking that it would be a brie sauce like a brunch chain down from where I live but no, this was actual brie cheese. Both of the other two were very filling. We also shared the Hash Purples, veggie hashbrowns but with beets and carrots instead of potatoes. This was surprisingly really good, a nice alternative. This was a nice little brunch spot that I wouldn't mind returning to if I'm up that way again.

Yelp
We visited on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn't too crowded to try the crepe. The staff were friendly, and the warm crepe with ice cream and coffee was delightful. Dessert and coffee made for such a comforting treat. Definitely a must-try!

Yelp
I love crepes so this is my kind of place. It's a little different that a normal restaurant. When you come in you pick your own table max then go up to the counter to place your order. You give them your table number and they will bring the food out to you. I had the breakfast special that came with one cinnamon crepe l, eggs to order, and your choice of breakfast meat. I chose bacon. The food came out quickly. Beverages weee self serve and all of the condiments were at a station as well and not at the table. Reminded me of a college cafeteria. All of the food was very good. I liked their signature hot sauce because it wasn't too hot and went well with my eggs. If you are in the mood for breakfast food all day you should come by.

Yelp
If you're considering having a meal here, DON'T! I came here because I was craving a chocolate banana crepe and a maple milkshake. Once I arrived I was disappointed to see that they were out of both bananas and the ice cream for the milkshakes. Not a great start. Instead I sucked it up and got a savory crepe (chicken bacon ranch), a side salad, and a lemonade. The lemonade was mediocre, tasted like the cheap powdered stuff and was more sour than sweet, like artificial lemon candy. The salad was straight up gross, it had more pumpkin and cranberries than anything and I'm not sure if it even had dressing-- if it did, it's the blandest nothing flavored dressing I've ever had. The chicken bacon ranch crepe was actually edible but certainly not worth the $14 they're charging for it. The service here is also lacking; the man at the front door sarcastically asked us if we want to sit in the direct sunlight because all of the shady outdoor seating was taken. We were then ushered to a corner table right by the front door where a server was loudly wrapping silverware and shrill unattended children were running all around us. There were plenty of other tables available. They weren't very busy and yet it took ages for us to get our order. You can either order using a QR code at the table or at a counter. The link for the QR code doesn't load and the line at the counter is long. Overall I think this restaurant is mostly for tourists and I feel like I've been misled about the type of experience I would get here. Loud dining areas, lots of rambunctious kids everywhere, painfully slow service, mediocre overpriced food-- borderline inedible. This is the worst meal I've had in Burlington. I would give zero stars if I could and I wish I could have my time and money back; don't waste yours.

Yelp
I came and sat at the bar simply to order a beer while I waited for someone who had an appointment. For nearly 20 minutes no one acknowledged my existence. When I asked if I could get a beer, they insisted that I had to go 5 feet from where I was sitting to go wait in line to order. I refused to do that. Had they let me know that when I first came in, it would not have been a big deal at all. They were just ridiculous about it. I've been to this place for years (and ordered beer from the bar) and I've never been treated like this before. I will not be back (and yes, I went to Foam Brewers instead).

Tyler H.

Yelp
Half the menu was out of stock. The bartender was very rude and kept rolling her eyes and pointing rudely. the saitan was hard as rocks. over all dark and negative atmosphere in the restaurant.

Amanda P.

Yelp
We look forward to visiting annually for crepés while on vacation. This visit, the food was great, and that's about it. Service was the worst I have ever experienced anywhere, in that there was almost none. We waited 45 mins for a table (not out of the ordinary), had to get our own water, and ordered via an app at the table. The food then took an HOUR to come out. Ordered an iced coffee and two beers in a can to help pass the time, and even the beer in a can took 15 mins to be delivered to a table, while the iced coffee was passed over the counter. Staff was not at all concerned with our wait times, as there was no server. Just a horrible experience. Will never be back.

Yelp
I was looking forward to brunch here because it's close to the waterfront and Church St. Marketplace. I liked that I could go online and add our name to the waitlist (50 minute wait). We were escorted to our table and were shown the QR code to place our order and it was difficult to customize. We had to get our own water and coffee!!! If I'm paying to go out to eat, then I don't want to place my own order and shimmy out of the booth every time I want a refill on water and coffee. The food was good, but not worth the trouble. I want to relax with my family and have a lovely brunch. We each had to get up throughout the meal and wait in line for a water or coffee refill. Even the waitstaff hates the QR code system. I feel sorry for them. They lose out on tips because the customer is basically serving themselves. I will definitely choose another place next time.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a crepe? I was in the area for a charity bike ride and decided to give this place a try. I really enjoyed my lemon crêpe, which was a special of the day. I wish that there was more to it as we were still hungry afterwards, but next time I will just make sure I order two! The crêpe was the right flavor and consistency and as you can see, it had powdered sugar and some whipped cream with it. I cleaned the plate and it was very tasty. There are a lot of great food choices in Burlington, but I am glad that we were able to give this a try!

Yelp
Local Vermont chain that specializes in crepes. Went for brunch and ordered the. Local Vermont chain that specializes in crepes. Went for brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito and breakfast Sammy. Highly recommend the burrito. It was your normal burrito but wrapped in a crepe, instead of tortilla. Great spot, good food, and friendly staff.

Yelp
We walked around the downtown area, including the waterfront, and came across the Skinny Pancake at 1 p.m. The place still was busy, but the hostess was able to seat us indoors pretty quickly. The interior is pretty large, albeit somewhat on the dark side since it's literally in the basement of a building. If seating is available and weather allows, choose the outside patio. A staff member brought waters and let us know we could place our order using a QR code and number at the table...or, we could wait in a line to order and pay at the register. We appreciated the tip about the QR code, because it was much faster! My partner and I both ordered the apple and brie crepe, which is served with blueberry compote. It had plenty of apple, brie, and compote filling. The crepe itself was just OK. In fairness, we have a French family member who makes literally the best crepes, so our standards are pretty high. As an FYI - if you need to use the restroom, you'll have to go down a long hallway, and you'll need the door code from a staff member.

Yelp
The outdoor seating, near the lake/bike trail, is so picturesque and the food is very good -- so can't beat this spot. The service is extremely friendly and especially great if you have dogs with you.

Yelp
Was walking around downtown Burlington and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. The hostess sat us at a table and told us we order either through a website or at the counter and that we could get our own water at the water station. We both ordered our food separately but at the end of the meal, everything showed up on the same check. It was honestly a pain in the ass to separate it. We had to go to the counter and they messed up the cards.....we figured it out in the end but it was just an inconvenience. I ordered a burger and fries. It was ok. The fries were good but the burger could have been better. It was so thin that the bread overpowered the meat. I felt like I was eating a bread sandwich with a hint of meat. Definitely NOT worth the $16.16 bill. Could have been bigger too. I almost finished everything and wasn't even full. Probably won't go back.

Yelp
Have been to Burlington a few times and visited the SP by the waterfront 3x and just was there last wkend and will not go back. First, they were "out" of the hash brown patties we loved , how do you run out of that? You are a chain restaurant lol. Kids food comes and bananas were very very hard ( not ripe AT all) in the crepe, peanut butter was dry ( yes dry, not creamy whatsoever) and I omitted something on my salad and it was doubled ! Staff and cleanliness was barely ok and not worth the $ or time. sorry SP, you lost a few customers! I didn't tell anyone since there was no one really to tell, the staff was just not giving service and my kid didn't want to be embarrassed, so we barely ate and left. No one cares anymore about quality of food , even at the crazy prices. I just want some decent food and decent service. Not a lot to ask for . Mgr here is NOT doing their job.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere with friendly service. Crepes are large & filing! All very fresh with many options to choose from.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The service was 5. The root beer was incredible! Rookies root beer tasted so good! The crepes were huge and filling.

Yelp
Loved the breakfast burrito. It was wrapped in a crepe and it worked! It's a diner vibe and you order at the counter and they bring you food. Make sure you join the waitlist beforehand
google avatar

Emily V.

Yelp
I love the options at Skinny Pancake; there's plenty of savory or sweet options as well as vegan options. It can be pretty busy on the weekends so I'd recommend joining the wait list online. You can order on your phone from your table and it's pretty easy and convenient. It's a fun place to go if you're looking for something a little unique and tasty!

Yelp
Though typically, I go for more extravagant and fancy combinations, I decided to keep it simple. I went for a Sugar Shack (VT Maple Sugar & Melted Cabot Butter) and a side of bacon. First, the crepe was a little thick and dense for my taste, and it was closer to a bona-fide skinny pancake than something that ought to be much thinner and airier. As for flavors, these were solid, though, to be fair, I had trouble differentiating the maple sugar and butter from regular sugar and oil used in cooking. I try to be understanding, and I give places the benefit of the doubt. I want to allow for the fact that sometimes I might not know what I'm talking about. This would be four stars, open and shut. But then there was the bacon. I'm sorry, folks, this bacon was borderline burnt. I like bacon on the crisper side; however, it might be overdone when it is so crisp it shatters upon a bite. The service was very kind and friendly, and the food came out fast. They have plentiful outdoor seating, though I opted for indoor as I'm not particularly eager to chase down napkins. Indoors, the vibe is hip and welcoming and uses many natural materials.

Matt D.

Yelp
Highly overrated. Customer service is wack and basically the whole menu was "out of stock" by 12:30. Also, we were told we could go grab a drink at the bar while we waited and when I got up to order, my girlfriend was rudely asked to "sit somewhere else" from one of the staff. We were seated inside after requesting to be outside and when we asked to move they seemed aggravated even tho basically half the patio was not seated. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Ambra Q.

Yelp
I ordered the "Lovemaker" and it was very delicious. The employees were very kind and I enjoyed my experience. Definitely worth coming to if you're into savory or sweet crepes.
google avatar

Josh W.

Yelp
Very good spot in Burlington! It is a chain but is always very popular and usually has a wait. You order at the counter and then sit at your table for staff to bring it out! Very reasonable prices and good tasting food. Portions could have been a bit larger but the staff was very friendly. Worth trying at least once especially if you're a crepe fan but won't run back to with so many great options to try in the area
google avatar

Annie G.

Yelp
I went for New Years so the menu was limited. But the crepes were yummy. And WLR was playing that night. And I was on my own so the table of new people was nice and everyone was having a good time. I would go back.
google avatar

Olivia W.

Yelp
Best crepe I've ever had by far! The food here was so good and different from anything else around. It is on the smaller side and some of it (beverage station) is self-serve so you do have to get up and down a bit. We tried the Deja vu crepe and the veggie pesto crepe - the pesto was my favorite but both were good. We also got an order of the fried beet patties...not my favorite but my husband really liked them. Can't wait to go back!

Shikha T.

Yelp
I visited Burlington, VT with my family. My son found this place on Google and we all went there for breakfast . I can safely say that this is the best breakfast we have had. We ordered veggie savory crepe, an egg sandwich, quinoa bowl, sweet crepe with blueberry compote and veggie burrito. Everything tasted so amazing and delicious. Cappuccino and vanilla shake were nice accompaniments to our food. It's close to the Waterfront and we sat at their patio. The staff was also prompt and seemed friendly. Too bad, our family doesn't live in the area else we would have been regulars here. A MUST MUST try place, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
amazing crepe place!! As someone who has been to a lot of crepe places, this is by far the best. I didn't take a photo of the crepes because there are already so many and they don't look very different lol but they were great. I got the Choco monkey and -while this may not seem like an extreme positive- the bananas were ripe and warm. My girlfriend got the early riser and I was really impressed with that one as well. Along with that, she got a maple late and was obsessed with it. I opted for the warm apple cider because of a sore throat and it was perfect. As 2 people who recently moved to Boston from rural Maine, we were so excited to find cheese curds. There is a severe lack of them in Boston! They were so delicious and seasoned very well. The portions were great as were the servers and overall we had a great time :)

Nicole E.

Yelp
The service is extremely slow, the food is not worth the wait. Horrible experience. I even cleaned my own table.
google avatar

Rodney J.

Yelp
Love the vibe and "comfort casual" with awesome personality! My first visit to Vermont and this was a great experience!
google avatar

Maryann D.

Yelp
The buckwheat pancake recipe was so delicious! I am so impressed with the simplicity of this establishment. You can order either by electronic device or you can walk to the counter in person. We had water immediately at our tables which we were able to get ourselves. We even were able to get our own coffee I highly recommend this business it is so personally designed and the establishment is so relaxing. It was just lovely.
google avatar

Allison T.

Yelp
The service is quirky, everyone is slow and takes a long time to answer your questions. The girl at the counter couldn't answer any question about the menu or the drink selection and made us all order together despite the fact that we said we need to pay separate and don't care if our orders come out at different times. The crepe was amazing - I got the choco monkey and it was perfect. Would NOT recommend the breakfast sandwich, everything about it was horrible. I'll stick to the crepe next time

Dianne S.

Yelp
We had an amazing breakfast here! Food and service were both excellent. Gorgeous waterfront was easily accessible for an after meal walk. Loved everything, but the savory "Early Riser" crepe was the star of the show!
google avatar

Teressa B.

Yelp
The food was really good! I enjoyed the crepes which were delicious! The restaurant is order at the window and give them your table number. I went in the early afternoon so it wasn't that busy. It's right next to the lake too which I had a cute view at table 37.
google avatar

Beth A.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were wonderful! Just what a couple of travelers needed! They were so friendly and full of ideas for our further adventures. We enjoyed the Deja vu crepe and a wonderful Charlie Brown cocktail. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Ben J.

Yelp
Pretty overpriced for the amount of food you actually get. Don't come here if you're hungry unless you want to fork over more money for an additional entree for yourself. My family of 4 (two young kids) devoured our breakfast in a matter of minutes and then had to order an additional few plates of food to satiate our stomachs. The blueberry frumple cake was tasty just wish there were more to it. Eggs overdone but the potatoes were great! Also, if you are dining with kids it is good to note that the bathroom is quite a ways away from the actual restaurant. It seems close through a door toward the back of the restaurant but it is actually then down a very long hallway and in another building entirely. Do not send kids alone to the restroom for safety!
google avatar

Mindy B.

Yelp
Cute place with a retro / grungy vibe. The patio was not suggested because of the aggressive yellow jackets, so we ate inside. This is a semi-service restaurant, so expect to help yourself to water and coffee. Orders are taken from a QR code at the table and food is delivered by friendly staff. If you want connection with a waiter, you'll be disappointed. The food was good, we had the Noah's Ark and a Breakfast Sammie. Prices as expected. The walk to the very clean restroom was definitely a highlight.

Yelp
The first thing you need to know if you're planning on coming here is you're going to be waiting. We even tried to make reservations before we came and all options were unavailable. We experimented with the site and tried to book out two months in advance and reservations were unavailable, making me think that this might be a dated feature. We were quoted and hour and were seated at an hour and 45. We very quickly realized the most likely reason that the wait is so long is due to the fact that the restaurant is semi-service. You're seated, allowed time to look at the menu, and then go up to a counter to order and the food is delivered. We ended up ordering and I ordered a vanilla latte, the blueberry frumplecake, the poutine, and then a seasonal menu special that had pears, goat cheese, and chicken. The first thing that arrive was the coffee. When it was set on the table I noticed that there is not sugar on the table. You have to walk to the front of the restaurant to a small enclave, where there is a water station and a coffee station, similar to Starbucks. It was a little awkward going all the way to the front from where we were to fix the coffee and also every time we needed a refill. When the food arrived I tried the poutine and it was really good. The curds were properly melted while still retaining shape and also being completely gooey at the same time and the gravy was really great as well. The frumplecake was also pretty good, but the blueberry compote was quite tart, only salvaged by the whipped cream on the plate. It was have been amazing if the compote was sweeter as the cake itself was perfectly made. As for the special, the first few bites of the pear, balsamic, and goat cheese were delicious, but once I bit into a piece of chicken it was very off putting and did not marry well with the rest of the ingredients at all. Vanilla Latte: 3/5 Blueberry Frumplecake: 2/5 Poutine: 4/5 Seasonal Crepe: 1/5

Yelp
Great spot for a delicious breakfast. We stopped in yesterday after a walk by the lake. Really friendly and welcoming staff. We opted to sit outside and we were shown to a lovely table. The restaurant is very cool and funky inside. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. The menu is great and offers a different, delicious twist on breakfast. Lots of good vegetarian options and all kinds of wonderful sweet and savory crepes. We sampled the egg and cheese crepe as well as a standard 2 egg breakfast with bacon. Both were delicious and everything came out hot and fresh. We also had bloody Mary's that were made perfectly. This is an amazing spot for breakfast! Highly recommend for great food and even better service!

Yelp
This starts with the host. They were incredibly kind, polite, thoughtful and quick. And they needed to be because there was a line around the corner. Constantly. And they weren't phased one bit. The food, once we got seated and ordered, was decent. Not outstanding, but very good. The crepes were a little thick for me.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute place! The food was great, and very filling. I ordered a ham and cheese crepe and my mom ordered a spinach and cheese crepe and we split the burrito. We ended up bringing half of each crepe home since the portions were so large. Loved that they had water and coffee on tap that you could make yourself instead of having to bother a waitress for a refill.

Yelp
I cant rave enough about this cafe.. not coz I'm biased and love love love crepes but coz this place deserves all the praise and is worthy of it. From just a cart to brick & mortar with growing locations... this successful cafe offers all day breakfast, sweet and savory crepes, group munchies, craft beer, and a full bar. We had BLUEBERRY FRUMPLE CAKE which was my favorite a frumpled sweet crepe topped with blueberry compote and icecream for $5.50. So so so good!! BREAKFAST MONSTER eggs, spinach, caramelized onion, roasted squash and pesto in a crispy crepe. Also good! But what I loved was everything "From the bar": the choices were so interesting... bozzy hot chocolate 4 ways, Butterfly pea flower infused vodka, Hawaiian jalapeño, Spiced pear spritz and so much more. I'm so glad they opened a new store in Albany coz I'm there quite often and by the looks of it they have my patronage. Can't wait to visit soon.

Yelp
I don't think I've ever had such an awkward experience. And I don't do this often but this was a VERY awkward breakfast. Workers didn't acknowledge us even walking in, not even a wave or smile. Full convo blasting as we stood there like Nordstrom mannequins...the food was overpriced but not terrible it tastes just like any other crepe spot. I told the gentlemen my coffee was supposed to be iced (VERY nicely I may add, as I always am) and he did some pause like he was so annoyed...lol very odd reaction...Even leaving or just as we sat not even a "how's everything" it's just a weird service spot, that waiter was ok just again very weird interaction, it felt like we just didn't "belong". I would say the atmosphere was just off, could it have been a bad day for the crew? Idk and tbh I won't be back to find out thank God this was just a weekend trip. 2 stars only cause the spot was actually very cute!

Yelp
High Points: - allergy and vegan friendly. Everything can be customized to be allergy free - lots of options for us allergy people - lots of variety to the menu Low points: - the food is only okay and I expected more - it is so expensive. For a drink, fries, and a crepe for 2 people it was over $70. Like that is insane Would personally skip this restaurant for something better.

Yelp
5 stars - Sophie (age 9) -Split the Johnny Crepe and Heartbreaker with Josie. -The food is delicious and the service is good and fast. 5 Stars - Josie (age 11) -The Johnny Crepe was incredible! It was my favorite thing I've eaten on vacation! 4 Stars Katie -I ordered the breakfast burrito. The scallion in the crepe batter was subtle but good. The filling and toppings were well matched. -The servers were kind. - The menus needed cleaning. They were sticky and dirty. 5 stars Marc -He took a risk and got the K-pop. The kimchi was subtle and the pesto fantastic. It was a well-balanced. -Enjoyed the casual vibe of the place. Family total: 19

Yelp
Whoa whoa whoa! This place is different. That's what we like! Absolutely amazing location. Next to Burlington Bay, Church St Marketplace, and 2 hour free parking up the road from this location. You can easily order by scanning the menu with your phone or walk up front to place your order. Steamed cider was SO good. Food was delicious! Self serve water and hot coffee, and wow, the coffee is great! Definitely a spot worth checking out. Wish I could come here everyday.

Yelp
Probably should have gone to the Albany location first. However, looks like I'm busy trying to pretend to work and giving attention to family members that dont really need my attention. After I visit the Burlington location, I ate one of the best crepes I have ever had and realize that the Albany location was just a block away from where I use to work. Looks like I need to start reading newspapers as my news notifications on my phone are more gossips than actual news. However after further research I realized that the Albany location was only open a month ago.....made me feel a little bit better. We did try visiting the Albany location a week later, but should have checked the hours before we stopped there. Either way we visited some local businesses instead. We had a 45 min wait but it was worth the wait. My experience is true what their mission statement said....."the skinny pancake is on a mission to change the world by building a safer, healthier and more delicious food shed while creating everyday enjoyment fun and affordable".....my mission is to taste everything on their menu that I can possibly eat. Overall a great location, nice ambience and delicious food with a fast food experience.....as you order food at a window by the kitchen and they bring you your food to the table.

Yelp
Honestly it's a super cute place. It's a half service type of restaurant. You get seated at a table by a hostess but then walk up to an area to order your food. They will bring your meal to your designated table when it's ready. I ordered the Apple and Brie crepe. It was super yummy! It has a strong blueberry compote accompanying the apples and Brie cheese. I kind it wish it had more Brie cheese in it but still overall good :)

Yelp
I'm sorry to say that Nancy never got to eat here at all. Her boyfriend, Ned Nickerson, was hoping to take her on a lakeside picnic on Labor Day so he stopped in to The Skinny Pancake to place a to go order. This was when he learned that no one in this restaurant is capable of taking a to go order in person. This can only be accomplished online! Because Nancy and Ned come from a gentler, more civilized time -- when the world actually worked -- they abandoned The Skinny Pancake and ran away to Al's Ice Cream, on Williston road, where it still possible to receive carry out food by speaking in person with other human beings. Nancy and Ned ate mint chocolate chip ice cream at a picnic table among wildflowers and lived happily ever after.
