"The crispy onion topped French onion soup at The Smithville Inn is certain to warm up any cold winter day. Enjoy a crock of this cheesy vegetable soup all on its own or as a precursor to the filet medallions sandwich or chicken pot pie." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

"The historic Smithville Inn is an ideal date night spot, whether seeking out a romantic table for two or keeping it casual with a relaxing meal at the bar. Try one of the dining spot’s seasonal cocktails, such as the apple cider pomegranate mule or pumpkintini, alongside generous servings of chicken limon and filet medallions, as you chat with your partner about the week’s events and enjoy a memorable meal together." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Wedding review If anyone is looking to get married in South Jersey please book The Smithville Inn, trust me your dreams will come true! Our guests were blown away by the beautiful grounds, delicious food and historic feel of the Inn. They offer a beautiful ceremony space and make your special day as seamless as possible. We had guests coming from north jersey, NYC, Florida and Italy and everyone was blown away by the venues charm and overall vibe. The service was amazing, from the servers/bartenders to the wedding coordinators. Their entire team was wonderful and they answered every question we had and were a 10 out of 10 on our wedding day. The cocktail hour food was a hit and the entrees were so delicious served HOT to each guest. They had so many drink options for the bars and the service was fast and consistent. The village is the perfect place to stay for you and your guests and the Smithville Inn is a beautiful destination for any wedding. I would give 100 stars if I could!

The food was out of this world and the atmosphere makes time stand still. The staff are all in sync with one another and are always there for you. The manager, Lynn, was kind and visited our table. That's where the secret of all success comes from and why Smithville Inn, Historic Smithville NJ's staff work so well together. Tonight was all about that most powerful force in the universe, love.

I had the pleasure of attending a bridal shower at The Smithville Inn. The place is so very pretty. There are individual dining rooms and the place itself has so much character and vintage charm. The staff were more than accommodating and the food was delicious. Our buffet had penne ala vodka, chicken franchise, roast beef, roasted potatoes and string beans and salad. Dessert consisted of delicious brownies and yellow cake. Everything was served hot and it was set up so nicely. What a lovely place to have dinner or a special event…just lovely!

This is a very quaint and awesome area which I’ve never been to before. [ which is something I’m accustomed to saying almost everytime:-) ] We ordered the tomatoe pie which was different and interesting! The garden salad was good with our Tuscan sausage pasta sans the sausage. It was a whopping $32 no biggie- would’ve been nice if they lowered it since it had no meat at all. For dessert us 4 ordered 1 peanut butter chocolate ganache majiggy with whipped cream. It was delish and was sufficient. Our server Domenic was pleasant along with 2 other wait staff. The owner/GM greeted us 2 x to see if everything was ok. We would definitely come back and check out some local shops next door.

Historic lakeside Inn from the late 1700s. You can feel the past the moment you step inside. There are separate dining room, banquet room, and bar areas. Delicious drinks and food. Definitely get the pot pie!!

We visited this restaurant last night for dinner. We got soups, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The food was excellent, and the service was also very good. I would recommend the bacon appetizer. It was one of the best things that I ate there. Although the prices are expensive, the portion sizes are very large. For example, the potpie, which seems to be one of their more famous dishes, is actually an entire pie. It could probably serve 3 people. Overall, I enjoyed the restaurant and would visit again.
