The Sofia, Home of B Street Theatre

The Sofia has some fantastic Event Spaces available for rent! As a long time patron, I just held an event in Gallery A for the first time, and I loved the experience! The room has great natural light and a patio deck attached as well! Tables, chairs, a sound system, and bar options are all available for rent, and more! The staff is beyond helpful with planning and set up. Check out their website for all the available rentable spaces. The price was super reasonable, especially for the great location! I definitely recommend using the Sofia for your next event.

Went there for a separate performance so pure logistics I can't review but as a place? Very nice. Good seats, relatively responsive bar tending staff. Good venue for the space. If you go to the opera house in down town? This seats are scores better than those.

My new favorite local theater! We are subscribers and love every production over the past year and excited about the 2025 season! Classy, affordable, great acting, great seats, full bar (with real glasses) special events and freebies to subscribers. There is a family series and music venues as well. Two restaurants next door, make it a wonderful day or evening experience you don't want to miss! Fever event of Flamenco music and dancing! Electrifying, stunning, FABULOUS! Perfect Father's Day Gift!

What an amazing surprise. Saw Perfume Genius here and every 5 minutes said, is this for real? Was like being in a private house party just for friends. Can’t wait to see my next show here!

State-of-the-art theatre building, 3 stages/ auditoriums, performances run afternoons & nightly, year 'round, quality live entertainment for the whole family. Live stage plays, children's theater, also musical artists of all genres 🎭 🎶🎼🎵💎👑 We highly recommend The Sofia. Good refreshment bar on main floor, and the new Burch bar upstairs. 🥂🍷🍺🍹

The very talented dancer was beautifully dressed in her authentic flamenco costumes. I loved the way she picked up her dress to incorporate into her dance steps. The guitarist and vocalists were equally talented. They all performed with such passion! I would see it again! I saw a flamenco performance when I was in Madrid in May. It was the same dancer from Madrid that performed at The Sofia in Sacramento! It was such a treat for me to see her on stage again, here in California.

First time to visit the Sofia. We came to see In a Nutshell (a Moth-centric story telling event). It was raining out when we arrived and we were glad to get into the parking garage which is part of the same block. But, you do have to exit the garage (as far as I know) to get to the front door of the theater. Very nice and helpful staff checked us in. It was general seating and we actually landed a couple really great seats. The theater is quite cozy, the vibe is relaxed, and there is not a bad seat in the house. They do serve cocktails and other drinks in the lobby which you can take to your seat as well. I highly recommend going to one or more of the In a Nutshell events. They have excellent story tellers and it is just an all around good evening to see and hear the experiences of others lives.

Great theatre and excellent shows and performances. Flamenco live authentic show was amazingly beautiful and beautiful. I do wish it was 1.5 hours as opposed to 1 hour. Its still amazing!
