New to the area. I wasn’t sure if the establishment was open for business when I arrived. However, I saw signs to drive to the window and the back door open. I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner. Customer service was great, I had to wait 15 mins for my food to be prepared freshly. Definitely a treat to indulge in, everything was well seasoned, hot and fresh!! I will be visiting again.

Honestly I'm disappointed....we ordered the chicken and dressing dinner and the chicken was completely frozen in the middle but when it was brought out, it was steaming. Sent it back. They went back and redid it but by that point we were over it...the okra and soul rolls were okay. I had raved about this place to my date (who's in from outta town) and that happened. The cook did come out and apologized and I appreciated that though but still...🤦🏾‍♀️ I will not be eating here again unfortunately

My husband and I went here on Sunday and looks can be deceiving. There really wasn’t anyone on the inside in terms of customers but the customer service was good and the food was great! We got the pulled pork sandwich with collard greens. The pork was very tender and the sauce was super flavorful. I got the collard greens in the hopes that it tasted like the homemade ones I had in my childhood. While they weren’t an exact match, it was still pretty good. We’ve only been here once and really seems like a hidden gem. I recommend you try it at least once!

The food was as advertised, good tasting southern food. It was prepared fresh and served HOT, which I love. Will go again.

12/7/2025 4:45pm Total disappointment they have been charging me $18 for a pound of chitlins for three years today the lady tried to charge me $30 per lb. Just horrible!!! Lost a loyal customer smh

I came and ordered 2 five piece whole chicken wings with fries. I also got a catfish dinner with slaw. My dad really enjoyed the fish. My kids enjoyed the chicken and fries. The whole chicken was a little small and the fries were hard. I only saw one lady in the restaurant. I don't know if she was there by herself. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious 😋. I will be back to try other foods from the menu. The lady was nice with excellent customer service.

This place has really good food in my opinion.. I've been coming here for several years now and it's always consistently good.. I have zero complaints.

Just ate here for the first time. I’m from Texas so I was eager to try this place. It is SO GOOD. I took one bite and couldn’t stop until it was all gone! Only the drive through was open and it was pretty quick from ordering to getting our food. Staff was pretty nice as well. Large menu, lots of choices, and good god was it delicious. I will be frequenting this place when I visit Akron again. Thank you! (I rated the atmosphere as 3 stars because we didn’t get to go inside, but the staff and service was good!)
