Lovely little spa tucked in the basement of our sweet little Four Seasons here in Austin. There are not many bells and whistles. Just a basic locker room and relaxation (aka waiting room) plus 4 service rooms, or so. The only “bonus amenity” is a eucalyptus steam room. There are no frills. It’s all very straightforward.

Five star spa with well-appointed amenities and products. As a guest of the hotel the convenience of accessing the spa during my stay was appreciated. Roxane, the front desk attendant was warm, personable and attentive. The fitness center, locker rooms and the relaxation lounge are a welcomed luxury. I enjoyed a 50-minute magnesium massage with the dry brush add-on (well worth the extra upgrade). Highly recommend services at the Four Seasons Spa whether you are a guest of the hotel or an local needing a tranquil and relaxing break. Jo’s Pro-Tips: book ahead to ensure your desired time and therapist preference. Arrive early to enjoy the amenities. For an extra $25 you can enjoy the outdoor pool for a full day. If you valet, mention your visit to the spa for a discounted parking rate.

Had an amazing spa service today! It was a full sensory experience, absolutely one of the best spa sessions I’ve had. Highly recommend!

Hands down one of the best massages I've ever had! Jose ranks in my top 3 massage therapists now for sure. I highly recommend. Get the Magnesium Massage!

This is an Unconventional Review. I’m leaving 5 stars for a masseuse named Peter who used to work there between 2005 and 2008; I would get massages every week for months (almost a year!). He could cure my migraines with pressure points on my hand, he knew instinctively if I was having a bad day and always left me feeling 110% better and healed. He had 5 (or 6) daughters and I still think of him 17 years later. What a blessing he was to me. Thank YOU🙏💝

Micheal J. Was spectacular ! He went way above and beyond to treat my sister and I like 5 star guest. He was kind, inviting, and so accommodating. I also had a massage with Jose, which was the best massage I’ve had in my life. He got knots out that I didn’t know existed! I cannot wait to come back!

The spa is great here. The amenities are incredible, the staff is always friendly. I love the massages and pedicures!

Google
Gorgeous property, but it’s odd to me that this location doesn’t offer a jacuzzi, steam room, or sauna. I wouldn’t spend their pricing just for a massage or facial that you can get for less at places like Viva.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED. You can't go wrong here. The only thing you should know is that it is a smaller spa.. but I don't think that should stop you. It's certainly worth getting there early to enjoy all of the amenities. Service is perfection. The eucalyptus steam room .. also perfection. This four seasons is right on the lake, so you can also enjoy the lake trail while you're there. My massage was the best that I've had. I can't say enough good things! Oh and yes, the spa elves are a real thing.

Yelp
I loved my massage with Lizzie. She honestly gave me one of the best massages I have ever had in my LIFE. I enjoyed the staff and the amenities, but took one star off because being a luxury hotel and spa, should mean you have superior amenities. The salt room is more of an "art fixture" as someone else pointed out, and the ladies locker room only has 1 shower. And while I loved the eucalyptus steam room, it was limited to 1 person per 15 min so it wasn't as luxurious as I had imagined. However, I will 100% return for my gal Lizzie and her excellent massages.

Sharon L.

Yelp
Service was outstanding and my therapist, Janet, was terrific. Beautiful relaxing lounge area. A definite return!

Clare W.

Yelp
I had the best massage of my life here with Kimber!! I get massages very frequently and love deep tissue on my back/neck from being hunched over at my computer all day. I did the scalp massage add-on and enjoyed a eucalyptus steam shower after my massage. The only thing I'd add would be a pool but thought they did a good job of making a nice experience without one.

Yelp
Ok, this was tough. If you are local looking for a spa to chill in for a couple hours this is not it. The massage, 5 stars. The amnesties 2 stars, I'm sorry! I know that doesn't average out to four. But I would return because the lady who gave me the massage was so amazing! The salt wall is nice, but I imagined a wall. Not a framed art fixture. I also really wished it was not coed. Most women are in underwear and a robe so it's super awkward when men come in. At least for me it is. The showers were tiny and only two of them. This spa strikes as one that caters to its guests with the expectation that they will shower in their room and be in and out. So to my original point, not a spa day type peace for me, but I would return and make the best of it for the massage.

Yelp
This was my first time at the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Austin. I didn't do anything super fancy, but I needed my nails done and my husband was here for work. So, while he was working, I made an appointment with the spa and had a lovely experience. I was allowed to lounge in the relaxation area, have tea, and then proceed to my manicure/pedicure. The nail technician was so pleasant in conversation, refilled my tea without request, and she took her time doing my nails. Not once did I feel knicked, pinched or hurt! It was a lovely experience and well worth the money. I'm definitely returning to the spa the next time I'm there (or just tagging along with the hubs)!

Marika D.

Yelp
I contacted the hotel as requested for follow up. We were offered a "complimentary" pass to use the pool which was very disappointing considering how much money we spent there our first visit.

Jenny K.

Yelp
I'm not sure where to start in describing how incredibly disappointed I am with my mani/pedi. Worst experience and service I have ever received. My nails were cut so short that even a week later, they STILL HURT. The woman cut my finger and toe nails at weird angles to literally give me ingrown nails! Shame on me for spending $150 (and still tipping $40 for a total of $190) at the Spa at the Four Seasons when I could have spent half that at a local mom & pop shop and been in NO pain.

Elizbeth E.

Yelp
I have been to this spa many times throughout the years and I always have great experiences here. When I have a spa appointment, I like to arrive hours early and get a coffee at Live Oak, then exercise in the gym, then have my spa appointment. They have some cool promotions and recently my husband and I tried the "Full Moon Package" and it was amazing! I really like the steam room here as well. Overall a great spa.

Lauren W.

Yelp
This was an awesome spa experience. I went as part of a ladies day for a friend's birthday. We each did an 80 minute massage and scrub treatment. Both treatments were really great. The scrub was awesome, smelled great (try the grapeseed one!) and was followed by a 30 minute massage. And the 80-minute massage was one of the best I've ever had. The room is perfectly dimmed, nice aromatherapy and just warm enough. I added on the oil hair treatment and heated foot treatment, both of which were great. The spa locker rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. The fig shampoo/conditioner/gel smells so good, I wish I could by some for home! The only thing I didn't like was the actual spa relaxation/waiting room where you wait for your attendant. It's small and shared between both sexes. Otherwise, a very good experience and I will be coming back.

Yelp
The Spa at the Four Seasons is small, but it does what it does impeccably. I was here this weekend for pedicures with a girlfriend. They were doing a promotion in conjunction with the musical Legally Blonde - for $55, you get a pedicure and a glass of champagne, and you get to take the rest of the bottle of polish (Creative Nail Designs) home with you! Their website often advertises specials worth checking out (for example, you can currently book an 80-minute massage for the price of a 50-minute massage). Our nail technician was Tamara, and she was fabulous. She did a great job on our toes and was fun to chat with as we sipped our champagne - and well-versed in important pedicure conversation topics ranging from ridiculously expensive weddings to Montessori schools. Before and after our pedicures, we spent some time lounging in the relaxation room, which is lovely and peaceful and is stocked with squares of their house-made granola; a small assortment of nuts and dried fruit; hot tea; and the BEST cucumber-infused and citrus-infused waters. I am positive that there are Spa Elves at the Four Seasons, as every time I looked at the plate of granola, there were always exactly eight squares laid out in perfect symmetry - although I never saw anybody restocking them. Buying a service here also entitles you to use of their steam room, which is AMAZING - the best I have EVER experienced (and I have been in a steam room or two). There is an endless supply of fresh cucumber slices and cool, wet towels to take in with you (again, kept magically stocked by the Spa Elves), and the steam is infused with eucalyptus, which was utterly bliss-inspiring. The locker room itself is plentifully stocked with clean towels, hair spray, mouth wash, deodorant, combs, and all the other necessities for freshening up after your day at the spa and making yourself presentable when you leave (no, really...I've been running errands all day...not drooling as I was waited on hand and foot...). Valet parking at the Four Seasons is complimentary with service, so all you have to pay for parking is a gratuity for your unfailingly friendly valet attendant. Service here is absolutely impeccable. We were made to feel like queens by every single person we encountered during our visit. For the price of a pedicure, I emerged from the spa three hours later thoroughly refreshed, energized, and ready to face whatever came my way. If you're in need of an attitude adjustment, the Spa at the Four Seasons may be just what you seek.

Yelp
Looking to come up with something a little different for my hubby for his fortieth birthday in downtown, I happily remembered that the Four Seasons spa here on yelp had some great reviews. I took the recommendations seriously and came away not at all disappointed. Despite the fact that we were only coming in for pedicures, and we weren't staying at the hotel, we were given five star service. Before our services, we got to wait in the relaxation room which is possibly the most relaxing place I have *ever* been. The decor is soft and amazing. This was during one of our 3 30 degree days in Austin, so we really appreciated the warm robes and giant soft blankets on the chairs. For our pedicures, we were treated to an amazing, private room with views of the grounds, and were served champagne and a very generous cheese plate (we had ordered in advance) from Trio. Our nail techs (whose names now escape me, thanks champagne) were friendly, funny, attentive, and my toes look awesome. The spa locker is small but well equipped (and yes, totally! See Michelle C's review for Spa Elves- that is so true- everything is always stocked but no one is ever there). The steam room IS the best in austin...usually its some steam and a touch of eucalpytus- here, they are NOT stingy with the eucalyptus. The robes are comfy and the spa overhead showers are a treat. While staying at the four seasons was a little outside our budget, we were happy they treated us just as well as anyone spending a mortgage payment on a night at the hotel (ps if you're looking for somewhere nice but affordable to stay just a block away, the Hampton is awesome). Five stars, plus! Definitely one of Austin's best kept secrets.

Yelp
This is a very good hotel if you have to get away from the paparazzi. You can be here with no press bothering you. Fans? Not a problem as everyone leaves you alone as there are so many famous musicians, actors and F-1 drivers in the city it is nothing unusual.

Yelp
After my recent encounter with storms (flash floods and tornadoes are not a very friendly way to greet a California girl, Texas), I decided to attempt relaxation before heading back. I was not disappointed. Facial with Erin (50 min.): I rarely get these so I allowed Erin to provide what services she saw fit, and boy was I pleased! Relaxing strokes and delicious smelling products turned my combo skin that had been roughed up from camping into butter. She offered insight/advice into my skin after, but I was so blissed-out, I wouldn't have been able to retain any info. The only thing I would add is that there needed to be some moisturizer put on my lips, as they stood out as a dry patch in the oasis. Massage with Janet (80 min.): Don't shy away from the sage and ginger deep pressure massage! Janet showed me the products beforehand, offered me a choice between oil or lotion (I said whatever you think will work best), and then asked if there are any specialties I enjoy. A nice touch since most places focus on your problem areas and don't bother with the more enjoyable strokes on the hands, feet or scalp that can make or break a treatment. Amenities: It's true that the locker room is tiny. The eucalyptus steam room is a dream, but a bit uncomfortable for two strangers to lie down in. I loved the hair and body products in the shower, but if there was one criticism, I would add directions to the shower. It's super confusing as to which knob does what, but once you figure out how to get the downpour going, it's heavenly. I think Yelp folks are raving about the relaxation room a bit more than I would -- it's fairly basic, with not much of a view, but the tea plus the homemade energy bars kept me more than satisfied through my 3-4 hour stay. Can't wait to come back and share with others!

Yelp
Amazing service and atmosphere. I've gone to alot spas around Austin and this was the best facial by far. Staff is so courteous and very knowledgable about skin. This is the best my skin has felt in a while. It's worth the extra dollars to enjoy yourself here. The eucalyptus steam room and waiting lounge really helps relax you and make you feel like you're having a little getaway. Totally worth the money.

Yelp
Austinite friend brought me to the spa 6/23 and treated me to the happy hour massage deal while I was visiting from LA. It was awesome! Complimentary hors d'œuvres (yummy too) and champagne while you relax before your treatment. My therapist Janet was incredible. I have had many many massages and I'm really picky, and I have to say Janet was was terrific and one of the best I've ever had. Even better than the massage I had at the Lake Austin Spa. The spa is petite but lovely, and well appointed. Overall the staff was very nice but the service could be tweeked a bit.....very minor stuff, but we had to go in search of someone for a glass of bubbly and were made to wait when checking in, as both of the front desk people were on the phone for extended period of time, which we found to be odd. Again very very minor, but that was the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars. Overall it was wonderful and both my friends and I would return for the happy hour in a heartbeat!! Go and enjoy!! And you thank you Janet for a great massage!!!!

Yelp
Exquisite hotel at the ladybird lake in Austin. There is a fine selection of food and wine in the hotel restaurant Trio. Moreover, the hotel features an outdoor pool, a spa and is situated right next to a lovely park. However, this is a pricey place.

Amber R.

Yelp
I went to the Spa at Four Seasons for a bachelorette party. The spa's ambiance and food were great. Most of the staff was great too, with the exception of Mary Cate, the manager of the spa. She was rude to my friends and I for the duration of our visit and made us feel completely unwelcome despite the fact that we spent a a good deal of money over the course of several hours and chose to go to Spa at Four Seasons for a very special day. Mary Cate was a terrible representation of an otherwise wonderful Spa and Hotel.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
This spa is really tiny!!! I'm used to going to the four seasons spa in westlake village, ca (one of the top spas in America) so it was my surprise when I get here and they only have one steam room and two showers. I love to make it a day at the spa with my girlfriends but it's nearly impossible to do it here; there's nothing to do! No jacuzzi and the only pool is under maintenance, which they failed to tell me before my visit. Services and products are what make it. If you want more bang for your buck, I'd advise checking out a different hotel spa.

Amber D.

Yelp
Amongst the squeals of delight and ooh's and ahh's at the advent of s'mores at our "Ladies of Yelp" event, we were each presented with a swank green gift bag containing a $50 spa gift card. Having heard from others about this new "Daycation" offering at the Four Seasons spa ($160), I had to go. You show up, use their pool, locker rooms, gym, have a free lunch at Trio (my entree was worth over $23 and my good god it was delicious), sit outside and watch the Town Lakers, pick out a 50-minute spa service, and then spend the rest of your time in the Four Seasons steam room or just looting the toiletries in the women's spa locker room (or both)! Okay, so maybe the looting wasn't all that good. I used a razor and a comb, but hey! They had the greatest shower, softest robes, kindest staff, and most soothing ambiance ever. The massage room played perfect Japanese flute music and knots I did not even know I had were unworked as I tried to prevent drool from coming down through the face rest. Note: I said tried, not accomplished. The pool is made with salt water as opposed to chlorine so all of my little blisters from cycling and drinking (in tandem) seemed to heal up as I floated on my back listening to bad cell phone conversations between people and their lawyers. The absolute lush beauty of the Four Seasons is something I can not talk about enough. Overlooking Town Lake, the runners, the water, the immaculate landscaping, and the rolling hill leading down to a dock... DEEP SIGH It's just that great. Book an appointment, and have the best weekday of your life.

Yelp
Four Seasons has a small but lovely spa. I took advantage of the Spa Happy Hour pricing and got an Aromasport massage. It was a fusion of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and some stretching. My therapist was great, and she really helped relieve a lot of the tension I had in my back. The oil blend she used was so relaxing! After my treatment, I sat in the relaxation room with my glass of champagne. The chairs were very comfortable, and the provided snacks were delicious. There were a variety of cheeses, crackers, fresh and dried fruits, and granola bars. I believe the relaxation room is coed, as I briefly saw a man in there. I also spent time in the steam room, which was amazing! It was small, but it actually smelled like eucalyptus and not mildew! My sinuses were really opened during my time in there. I only have a few small complaints about the spa. The relaxation room has limited seating and isn't entirely quiet. I had to listen to multiple people discussing politics while I was trying to relax. My other complaint is that the staff did not seem to be as polished as the Four Seasons reputation would lead one to believe. They were friendly, but did not seem to anticipate the needs of guests in advance. I feel as though my complaints are rather nit picky, because I did truly enjoy myself here. I will definitely be back in the future!

Yelp
I visited yesterday for a "happy hour" massage and it was fantastic. It was my first time there and I was definitely impressed. The relaxation room was awesome, but a little small with only 4 reclined chairs (that I noticed), so it filled up very fast. I know there really isn't anything they can do about the size though. That's not their fault. My therapist was Melanie, and she was total perfection. Very professional and receptive to all my requests. I'd highly recommend her if you're looking for smooth, relaxing massage. I love the happy hour promotion they do ($50 off, complimentary valet, and a glass of champagne), but no one ever offered me a glass of champagne while I was there. :( It didn't really dampen my experience too much, because I enjoyed the hot tea they had in the relation room, but I'm not going to lie, I was looking forward to it! So I was a little upset it was never offered.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Five stars for this gorgeous spa! I went in about a half hour before my services to take advantage of the eucalyptus steam room and I am so glad I did! It was such a great pre-cursor to the treatments I was having. I enjoyed a wonderful mud wrap with Amy, blissful hot stone massage with Michelle and a rejuvenating facial with Stephanie. I highly recommend the rejuvenating enzyme facial! This was my first facial and I was really nervous about my skin breaking out, but for 3 days after, my face was glowing! A week later, there are still no signs of acne! My experience was wonderful and I already cannot wait to go again!

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Got a "Happy Hour" massage. The locker rooms are complete with everything you could need and then some. The lounge room is very relaxing. Spent some time just relaxing sans phone with some spa water, magazines, home made energy bars, and after my amazing massage, a few glasses of sparkling wine. Definitely a place to de-stress the right way.

Davidjack A.

Yelp
Holy crap balls, had the most amazing time here yesterday. It was my first day off in two weeks and I couldn't imagine spending it any other way. Can't wait for another excuse to do it all over again.

Ann P.

Yelp
We had an incredible visit! Pam indulged us for a full 2.5 hours in a private room of spa pedicures and manicures. She's not only a fabulous nail technician, but also a wonderful personality. Would strongly recommend a visit here, especially nail services with Pam. Looking for a spa in downtown Austin? Book here.

Betty C.

Yelp
This is ones of the best places, the service, comfort and the people in there are great; I took a facial and massage, was amazing.

Megan L.

Yelp
Pure bliss! You can't go wrong here. It is pricey but I'm worth it! Been there twice now....hoping for a third!

Wendy G.

Yelp
Before there was the W Hotel or Milk and Honey or anyone of a myriad spas, there was the Four Seasons. I visit many different spas but coming back to the Four Seasons always feels like coming home. Most recently I enjoyed an 80 min body treatment that was divine. I arrived early to use the fitness center and steam room, and to have a little extra time to relax in the lounge before my treatment. The treatment included a gentle, dry rub with exfoliation gloves, a moisturizing wrap, and a massage. The treatment was rounded out with a warm oil scalp massage, and a variety of hot, moist towels that provided an over-the-top sensation. Happy Hour bubbly sealed the experience. I still feel relaxed a couple of days later just thinking it.

Karim K.

Yelp
Great facial! Everyone here was friendly and derive was definately 5 star! Best facial I have ever had anywhere. Worth every penny a must go!

April S.

Yelp
Fabulous! Great service, amenities, and attention to detail. Absolutely loved my massage.

Ella A.

Yelp
My husband and I have had massages here a couple of times, each time was amazing. The massage therapists we had were definitely a cut above the average spa. We always feel relaxed and refreshed after our visit to Four Seasons. Definitely worth a try for a special "time to get pampered" day.

Deborah K.

Yelp
I had a massage at the spa at the 4 seasons,,my massage therapist Janet was wonderful! I've had alot of massages over the years because of a back problem and I have to say this was one of the best I have EVER had. Janet is an amazing massage therapist. I highly recommend her.
