I booked a 9am facial at the spa on 2/5. After being on the road for 1.5 hours, a drive that should've taken 10 minutes max, maybe 30 with traffic , the receptionist was extremely unhelpful when calling to advise traffic was only getting worst and our arrival time was increasing by the minute. When we finally arrived, the only parking lot given to us from the spa was completely filled (and overfilled at that) leaving us with no where to park. After calling the receptionist again, she informed us that we could park in the lot next to the recommended lot. That lot was closed to the general public, something an employee of the spa should know about their hotel grounds. After calling back a third time, she simply stated she had no advice for us on parking. At this point we were already cutting into our service time. With no help from the receptionist, we found an employee roaming the grounds and asked him for help. He stated that there was no where for us to park, but we could *TRY* to find a place across the street or down the road and take the gondola to the spa, which would take far more than the "arrive 15 minutes prior to your appt" recommendation. At that point, we were forced to leave the premise and skip our spa appts. When we called back a fourth and final time to explain the extreme circumstances, she receptionist was again unhelpful and happy to relay the message that we'd be getting charged 50% for the missed service. Surely they could have done a better job at preparing their customers, and certainly been better at customer service in one of the four calls, but it's clearly not their forte. Perhaps once you actually make it into the spa, you have a nice experience, but getting there is 3/4 of the battle. Would never recommend. If an establishment can't hire a decent receptionist, who do you think is standing behind her?
