Okay, I watched this place come to life and have been curious to try it out since they opened. Definitely a unique space, with an interesting premise, focusing on cereal, milk, and ice cream - literally over a hundred cereals to try.
Now the bad part...this is definitely the meow wolf of the restaurant world and not in a good way. The whole experience was bizarre, from understanding what to order, how to order it, where it would come out, and how to pay. It was like someone had seen how a ice cream shop operates in a movie, but didn't understand how to execute the processes of taking an order, fulfilling the order, and ending the transaction.
As I'm typing this, there is a line almost out the door with most people waiting more than 30 minutes just to place their order. I watched one woman wait at the counter for 30 minutes just to try and pay for her order. Multiple people have left, astonished about the wait.
I feel bad for the kind woman trying to facilitate the madness, it's apparent she's overwhelmed and needs support.
Cool/interesting concept...so far not well executed. Since it's close by and my daughter loves cereal and ice cream, I might give it another go down the road, but man, today was brutal.
