The Spicey Pickle

Used to frequent this spot a lot more before burritos were $11.50!! Absolutely ludicrous. I’m from the west coast and even the real Mexican taco shops out there are not charging that much for a burrito with meat, cheese, rice & salsa. Please lower your prices, SP.

Been here a couple times. Usually I go with the 3 tacos and they are good. Quick service, decent prices, and good food. Will mention did have food poisoning the last time I ate there :/ lasted a full day.

My coworkers were picking up so I decided to give a try. What a pleasant surprise! Got the Sharpedo and am quite happy with it. The wrap is fully loaded and delicious, and filling. Thanks!

Just awesome, been my go to for the last couple of weeks , super friendly customer service - I just get a bowl of goodness- love the selection of different sauces

We stopped here for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed in the quality of the food. Delicious and fast meals - a lot like a Moe’s or similar. I had a veggie rice bowl and my husband had a burrito. The burrito was so large he couldn’t finish it. They had drinks available in the cooler, but no tap water because they didn’t have cups. Oh well! The food was great tho. We were able to sit outside which was also nice.

This place used to be my go to for years every time I stopped in Lewiston . Nowadays it’s as bland as ever and super skimpy on meats. 80% of the burrito is rice

The flip-the-computer-screen-around-so the-customer-can-leave-a-tip thing drives me nuts when paying by card. This place is one of them. Otherwise, this place has a solid product. The burrito wraps did an impressive job of holding in all of the food loaded onto the burrito. This place had a wide variety of toppings from which to choose (including hot sauces). I didn’t choose any hot toppings. The beans, rice, chicken, and guacamole could have been more flavorful or spicier; however, at least the end result did not taste like Chipotle.

We stopped here for lunch after being at Artpark for a book festival. The name sure peaked our interest. Its a small place with limited seating. It was a bit to chilly to sit outside. I saw a lot of prople getting takeout orders. We both ordered the build your own bowl. You had your choice of different prices, greens, proteins, and numerous other topping. My bowl was definitely full! There was no skimping on the toppings and I had enough for 2 meals. The employees were friendly and service was quick. Though I didn't appreciate the number of 'extras' added on to the bill. These were not clearly marked anywhere. Rhe only thing posted on the glass cases where they had the food was an extra charge for quac. Still reasonable priced but should have been disclosed better. 2025 -71

We were in Lewiston for a big book festival a Art Park and stopped here for lunch. I got a Built Your Own Bowl. As I traveled along the counter with all the ingredients, I told the person behind the counter what I wanted in the bowl. The price was on their wall menu was $9.82 for a large bowl. Even though the food was good, their deceptive covert upselling left a bad taste in my mouth. All they had to say was "this item and that item had" an up-charge I still, being informed, would have got them anyways. I even asked if things like sour cream costed more, which it didn't. The only thing that was marked more was guacamole. I paid and had to ask for my recipt, this when I saw all the hidden up-charge such as one of the chicken toppings, only identified as "Todays Special" with no up-charge amount displayed anywere nor communicated by the counter person. They just snuck it on the bill by inflating the original bowl price. Then I saw that standard taco toppings like simple salsa were also not marked as costing more but they up-charged anyway. They did not ask me if I wanted a receipt because as part of ther deception is to not voluntarily let you see a receipt showing all the covert up-charge. It was a good thing I said I wanted my receipt, otherwise they would have successfully deceived me. SHAME ON YOU, SPICY PICKLE! I want to make it clear that I have no problems paying more for what I want. Even though it was basically only pennies, it's the principal of it.

One of the better food spots in Lewiston. The owner is kind and so the workers. Ani took care of me one day and she handled the lunch, rush, well greeting all her customers with a smile and even knew most of their orders. Would definitely recommend.

Very tasty food and good service. While limited seating for dine-in still a quaint atmosphere and decent ambiance.

I love the Spicey Pickle. It's a great little place in Lewiston. It's like a mom-and-pop version of Chipotle. Bowls, burritos, chips and cheese... Today I got the Nooch. It's a huge burrito that costs $11something and it has 2 servings of meat which you can mix and match or get double of the same kind, beans, and whatever other fillings/toppings you'd like. It was massive. I made it a meal with a side (chips and cheese) and a drink and it came to $17.50 before tip. And I always tip. They deserve it. My girlfriend got a bowl and made it a meal. It was her first time there and she loved it. Try them next time you're in Lewiston. You won't be sorry.

I was riding my bike through Lewiston and checked yelp to see where to eat. I'd ridden by The Spicey Pickle, but doubled back. I'm glad I did. Super fresh, made to order with from a wide range of options, very nice staff and vibe.

Really solid option in downtown Lewiston for great takeout/a quick meal. Portions are big and food is overall really good, though the meat could use some more seasoning. Friendly staff!

This place is ok. It's not somewhere I'd be opposed to going again, but also not a place I'm eager to get back to either. I found the food to just be average and something I could easily make at home. It didn't have that authentic feel to it. But it wasn't bad either, just average. I had the 3 pack hard shells ... 2 with ground beef and one with shredded. The shredded had a nice sweet flavor to it. What I loved most about this place was the customer service. Everyone seemed upbeat and friendly and happy to answer questions. The restaurant was clean and they packed our food nicely in to-go containers and we eat ate at Art Park.

I really, really, really enjoy The Spicey Pickle. This place is amazing. The options are amazing and I really like that there's a special every day. I usually get the Sharppedo bowl. It's a choice of two meats with lettuce cheese and all the topping you want. On a day when I'm veins dramatic, and I'm "starving," I get the XL bowl, which is basically the same thing but super sized. I really like the flavor of the meat. Something about it feels like taco night at home. It's super familiar but still has a different twist that can only be done here. My fiance and I usually get the special of the day and split it. I'm not always so brave, but he hasn't tried anything he doesn't like. One thing I tried months ago that I still dream about was a corned beef burrito. I know, I know. Sounds crazy, right? But if you just keep it simple and stay true to corned beef, it's really quite delicious. It was specifically done during St. Patrick's day, so I'll have to wait until next year. But I'm sure I'll find other things to enjoy until then. Also, the spicey pickles are top tier. I don't necessarily like them on my bowls or burritos, so I get them on the side and eat them separately. They are so good!!

This is completely awful the location superior, but the food that's another story. I ordered three tacos and they were so dry, so discussing, and so spicy. I didn't order any sauce and I'm good with spice I just didn't order it but it seemed like they put the hottest stuff they have on my tacos. If you want a burnt esophagus then go here if not DONT!

Great food at a great price. Wife and I ordered a burrito bowl and a Nooch. The Nooch is a huge burrito on a 14" tortilla. I had 3 filling meals off that monster!! If you like Chipotle or Moe's, then The Spivey Pickle is the place for you when in Lewiston. Side note, they really do have Spicey pickles! :)

Needed a place to grab a bite after the jet boat tour. Found this spot while driving through the quaint town of Lewiston. A nice local restaurant with fresh ingredients and good food. Almost like a local chipotle, but with better food! The dorito burrito was a hit with my son and my wife. I had a salad that I was able to decide which ingredients I wanted. Very delicious! Would recommend for anyone!

They say they close at 8:30 but if you place an order online, they stop taking orders at 8:15 which means they close at 8:15 and not 830 which makes a huge difference. False advertisement is really annoying . Not going back ever

Such a cute little place. The name is definitely interesting. It stuck out and was definitely the reason I stopped here while visiting Niagara Falls. I ordered a burrito and it was fantastic! I ordered a small shredded beef with white rice, corn, pico, cheese as toppings with pineapple habanero and avocado ranch as two sauces. The shredded beef was so flavorful it honestly didn't need any of the sauces. However the sauces were very good and there was a long list to choose from. I loved the flavor of the burrito and the small was a perfect serving for me! Great place to eat if you are on the go in the area. Very delicious! Did not disappoint AT ALL! Would definitely recommend this spot to eat!

I got the spicey pickle for takeout one day and it was amazing! It was so quick and when I asked for extras the man said it was on the house very affordable aswell!

Just had lunch with my daughter at the Spicey Pickle and it was fabulous! My daughter ordered the "Pickle Pack" with three soft shell tacos, 2 ground beef, one grilled chicken and lots of toppings (cheese, black beans, pico, jalapeños, sour cream and hot sauce), and a "Nacho Supreme" with ground beef, nacho cheese and the works. I ordered the same "Pickle Pack" soft shells with shredded beef on two, and grilled chicken on one with toppings of cheese, black beans, black olives, Pico, cilantro, and banana peppers with a side of mango habanero sauce. These tacos were over stuffed, and the nachos were LOADED! The total $28. The toppings were crisp and fresh and the meats were nicely seasoned without being overly salty. Everything was phenomenal, but one taco each and we were stuffed. The staff were pleasant, the restaurant was very clean and there are tables outside for dining.

Super friendly service, in and outside (socially distanced) seating, lots of free on street parking! The burrito i had was delicious (vegetarian) all the beans, all the veggies and a side of the yummy sweet and spicy pickles! My friends (build your own) burrito bowl was massive (even the small) and full of all the toppings we love. Above all, the young man behind the counter was so friendly, patient, kind and good at his job it made me smile. I love seeing this so much...great job kid!!!!

Great place to grab a burrito around Lewiston. Went there for lunch and the place wasn't so busy around the time. Ordered their special meat burrito which was really tasty and filling. Great place to grab some quick and filling lunch if you are around Lewiston area.

Good for what it's trying to be: quick, reliable food. Chipotle-style burritos and tacos with a good selection of ingredients. Indoor seating is minimal, but plenty of tables on the sidewalk for nice days. Nestled in the heart of the Lewiston village, it's within walking distance from the waterfront. If you have ten minutes and need a healthy option, SP is a great spot.

Went here randomly for dinner and it was pretty good it's like a chipotle style place where you make your bowl or burrito. It was good but not great. The works were nice and helpful. We sat outside at night at it was cute. If I live in the area I would probably go again but not if I was just visiting

This is a great place to stop for a quick meal in Lewiston. There are no high chairs for people with kids, but there is a kids meal on the menu. This is a build your own burrito place. The food was fresh and the ground beef was quite tasty. It was unclear if I could have put their guacamole (which was very tasty) on my burrito without getting it on the side. As a spicy food lover, the extra hot sauce left me wanting. There was a good variety of hot sauce that you can put on yourself, which you may want to do if you really enjoy hot.

We came here on a Friday afternoon while we were walking in the village of Lewiston. We liked the name and the restaurant is conveniently located on the main strip. This place is set up similar to a subway or a chipotle. You have a choice between a burrito, tacos, nachos, a bowl, as well as a selection of other sides. My husband had the shredded beef which he said was excellent. My chicken was good as well. They have any options you could want for a burrito and they were all fresh and the appropriate temperate. Both the individuals that served us were kind. They have an option to turn your dish into a meal for around three dollars that includes a side and a drink, guac is extra. If you're there, you have to try the spicy pickle! It may not seem like pickles go in burritos... and maybe they don't, but the pickles have a great flavor and definitely added a little bit of fun to your standard fast Mexican American BYO. Price was reasonable, cost was about 17 dollars for two people for lunch.

I am obsessed with the Spicey pickle! I am a vendor at the Lewiston shows and I always get a rice bowl for lunch. The staff are all very nice and service is prompt! The prices are great and the food is always so fresh and delicious. Highly highly recommend!!!!!

Good food. Not so friendly to visitors. We stopped for late lunch on our way to see Lake Ontario. I asked for a recommendation and was told that "everything is good"... okay. M'ehhh.

Coming here was the best choice i could have made. It was incredible. You get an amazing meal and it's done so fast. Everything tasted so fresh. This is the perfect burrito place. It was very clean and the workers were very nice. HIGHLY recommend

I only recently discovered this place. I am obsessed, it is amazing! Good Mexican is hard to come by in this area. My husband and I compared it to the kind of Mexican we like to have in Los Angeles. We have been here three times since discovering it only about a month ago.

Have eaten here several times and have always had a full belly every time. It's a cute place in the heart of Lewiston. My girls love to order in then eat outside and people watch. The food is great and the place is clean. Walk by all the time at night to window shop the village and I always see them cleaning and preparing for the next day. Any burrito is great and their bowls are superb

First time visit yesterday. Oh my wow. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. So much to choose from, everything made to order; just a great vibe all around! Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely the BEST burritos/bowls anywhere! With fresh ingredients and huge portions, you don't leave feeling hungry or weighed down! The staff is super friendly, the place is clean and the prices are fantastic. We drive 40 minutes from Depew just to get our Nooch Burrito! Highly, highly recommend! I can't order a burrito from anywhere else. You can eat inside or outside, or take it home or down to the waterfront and enjoy!

My family has been going to Spicey Pickle for what seems like ages now! The atmosphere is pretty casual; some might say dingy, but for a small, locally owned Mexican food place in Lewiston, it fits- like I mean it's not expected to be fancy- it's a taco place!!! The food is really good, and the burritos are really big!! The "Nooch" burrito is made in a 16" shell!! They have all sorts of fillings and sauces to build your burrito to your liking and it's pretty decently priced! Overall, it's a nice place to eat in with friends and/family, or to just grab a taco and go!

Quick, casual, and reasonable. $6 kids meals are impressive - taco, chips and cheese, fruit snacks, and a choice of drink from the cooler. I had the dorrito burrito and my husband had a make your own burrito. We also shared the chips with salsa/nacho cheese/guacamole. They have ground beef or turkey. Large or small option for each burrito....$8.50 for the large one, which was more than enough for me. Nice selection of hot sauces available to sample. Cooler drinks include soda, Gatorades, water, and iced tea options.

The Spicey Pickle is definitely a very fair priced place, especially for the Lewiston area. It is right in downtown Lewiston and is very quick and set up similarly to Chipotle, but just a smaller place in general. You can tell this is a local place, and they have a very strong local feel to it, which I enjoy and respect. The food was tasty and they had plenty of variety. You can order burritos, burrito bowls, nachos, etc. and put whatever toppings your heart desires on them. I am assuming they are famous for their spicey pickles, but I did not try these. They are an extra dollar if you do feel up to trying them. They also have a few tables outside, which is very enjoyable on a nice summer day. The food tasted just like basic Mexican-American food. Everything seemed pretty fresh and the employees were extremely friendly and enjoyable. The only odd thing about this place was their hours. I believe they open at 11:05 and close at an odd time, too. I would definitely go back to The Spicey Pickle for a quick bite to eat!!

Well this place was a surprise. I'm visiting from Los Angeles so I have high standards when it comes to Mexican food -- but this place is legit. Everything was super fresh, very clean and delicious. I ordered a small burrito with ground turkey (I was skeptical but I'm a total believer now. Tastes so similar to ground beef) and had to come back to order a second. I may have to come back before I leave town for a third.

This place is a favorite of mine. Their burritos are giant and you can add any toppings you want. High recommend this place. They also have a card you can use to get a free burrito after you purchase 10.

The Spicey pickle is by far one of my most favorite food places to go, all of the workers are very nice and even better, if you're watching your weight and usually get proportioned meals, they will portion it for you. The food is always great and the clack attack is amazing! I highly recommend

Still new. Went there on a Friday. Crowded. Shows how desperate Lewiston is for a decent lunch spot that doesn't take forever to get served. I had a monster burrito called nooch. So much stuff in it I couldn't really say if it was any good or not cause there were so many flavors BUT it was big and relatively tasty and will fill up somebody hungry. Wife had a regular burrito, no complaints. We also had some Pico, that was really good. Another guest with us had a burrito/bowl salad and said it was way too small for the price. Lots of hot sauces to pick from. We'll be back.

These are easy the worst "tacos" + "burritos" I ever ate. Taco Bell or even a "taco" Lunchable from the mid-90s would have been more authentic and satisfying than this "authentic Mexican / TexMex". I feel tricked--the numerous glowing Yelp reviews and a solid 4 star rating are the only reasons we visited The Pickle. I should have known we were doomed when we arrived and saw Comic Sans font on everything.

I used to love spicey pickle, but the quality has definitely gone down. Everything used to taste fresh and the portions were great. Now the quality and experience that used to make it stand out are going down.

Quick update to my previous review: If you want a big ass burrito, order there "Build Your Own" or the Nooch (a build your own with double meat essentially). My original post was based on ordering the "Pick 3" which is a smaller burrito. Experience makes the difference in burrito ordering I suppose. For better or worse, I now have a lot of experience and we love the Pickle. Also, the kids meal for $5 is a great deal. Taco, chips and cheese or salsa, fruit snacks, and a drink. Kids love it and its super simple to make everyone happy. I'm a big fan of the death sauce. It's not death inducing, but flavorful with some hear. What I like about the pickle is everything always seems fresh.

Chipotle eat your heart out.... Extremely fresh and tasty. Friendly staff. Yes they do have Spicy Pickles.... very good as well

This is the worst restaurant in Lewiston New York everything comes from a can and it's not that clean I would never eat here
