Wonderful distillery set in the heart of the art district DTLA. Worth the visit to sample and discuss their love of the product. Straight from owners Rio Bravo farm to your liquor cabinet. As more of a vodka person really enjoyed their Vapid Vodka, but their tasty orange infused Gin is pretty spectacular for those that enjoy Gin. Nighttime events are held in their wonderful space. Worth going to their website for some oysters and vodka, cheese and Gin, conversation and booze.

I crossed by this place on my trip to LA, I was walking the streets and I saw my favourite alcohol - vodka - yes Iam Russian. I walked in and one of the owners of this magical place gave me tasting shot of gin and vodka, which are made there. Gin was a bit strong for me, but the vodka, soo soft, soo smooth. I like the design of your place guys. Its simple and clean.

Miller was terrific! Gave us an impromptu tour and was very informative about their Vodka and Gin.

Local craft distillery, currently Gin and Vodka are their cornerstone offerings. Max, one of the business purveyors, was generous with his knowledge and time and my experience at the tasting room was first class. A perfect place for any drink geeks. I highly recommend coming here. I'll definitely be back.

Did a great cheese/spirits tasting here! The staff is super nice, and the clementine distilled vodka is yummy!

Yelp
We're lucky to have The Spirit Guild in LA. Their vodka and gin are made from citrus, grown on the family farm, and holy hell does it make for a delightful and unique taste. Look for these gems on local cocktail menus, they make killer drinks. When things open up again, I'd recommend coming for a tour. It's a beautiful space with stained glass windows, and the sunlight coming through in the afternoon sets a great tone. The front room is also available for events. For now, order some spirits and house-made hand sanitizer for curbside pickup. Looking forward to the doors reopening!

Yelp
Their Astral Pacific gin, which became Starkeeper gin, was amazing! Distilled from oranges, it was truly a unique product. Unfortunately, I was never able to tour the place or do a tasting. They seem to be out of business and that's a shame.

Yelp
Came here for a spirit/cheese tasting event and I loved it! I know this is primarily a distillery, but I loved how inviting they were to have us come in and try some of their great spirits paired with yummy cheeses. I have to say I haven't been to many distilleries, but they are quite cool. Overall I just really enjoyed how nice and informative the evening was! As for the products, the Vodka was my favorite!!! I'm not big on gin, but that's just a personal preference! Overall: I'd come back for another fun night of pairings and might even pick up a bottle! Stay Cheerful ;)

Yelp
Stopped in one Saturday afternoon to check out the tour and tasting. I'm not much of a gin or vodka fan, but the ones they make here were some of the best I've had that is even consider drinking it on a regular basis. The vodka is made from clementines and it's somehow more refreshing tasting that way. The tasting was free, and I'd highly suggest coming in for that! The tour was basically the owner pointing out various equipment and explaining their process behind the glass wall of their distillery; honestly, I would have rather paid for the tasting and have the tour be free given how short it was. You can get tickets through Groupon if you want to save and plan in advance though! Besides the alcohol, you could also taste the shrubs and olive oils from their family farm. You can't have a cocktail there, but can try out all the ingredients to make some with! We had to buy a bottle of vodka before we left to try it out ourselves. PS since then I've seen their spirit in bars throughout LA and SF!

Yelp
Love the vodka. Had a great tour of the facility from Miller. Absolutely love the concept of the making spirits from a citrus mash which leave a very slight orange flavor in the vodka. I'm not a good judge of Gin, as I don't really care for it. But the gin here is one of two gins I've ever had that I would actually drink. Great job! Be sure to try the olive oil's from the family farm in Bakersfield too.

Yelp
In one word: Miller! Miller is the brilliant man in the Dwight hat. He will be your guide into the fine world of distilling gin and vodka. He comes from a family that owns and produces some fine citrus. Do yourself a favor and take the tour. This guy and the staff know their craft. Take in the scents, visit the lab, and learn the history behind the German equipment. Great addition to the Arts District! Order their products in our fine restaurants in LA!

Yelp
I decided to surprise one of my best friend's on a distillery tour for her birthday! It's one of the cooler, more unique things to do around downtown Los Angeles! I chose the Spirit Guild because of the yelp reviews, as well as seeing some of their bottles at local bars! There are 2 time options for the tour. I chose the 4:30-5:30pm time so we could have dinner around the area afterwards. The tour is only $10.00/person! With the tour, it comes with their vodka and gin tasting. Also, at the end of the tour, you get $5.00 off a bottle! The bottles are about $38.00 without the discount! We started the tour off with the vodka tasting. Miller was explaining to us how oranges/clementines are used as one of the main components of their alcohol. They are the only distillery around that uses oranges! After the tasting, he took us to the back where all the alcohol magic happens. Miller was extremely informative! I have no idea where alcohol comes from or how it is made, but at the end of the tour, I definitely learned a lot more! He took us into the laboratory where all the research and development alcohols are being made. And at the end of the tour, we got to taste their gin! Not only is the tour a cool date or a place to take a few friends, the alcohol is very good!! TIP: -free tasting -plenty of street parking around -cool area to check out (blue bottle next door, the spring a block away)

Yelp
I came to Spirit Guild for a tour hoping to learn more about the technical aspect of spirit-producing for a writing project. I made an appointment online and it was convenient, especially considering that I wasn't charged in advance and could cancel if I wanted. It was Friday at 2pm, and it took me a couple of minutes to find street parking. I was a few minutes late, but when I came in, I found out that I was the only one here to take the tour... lucky me! Miller, the owner and the tour guide, was very kind to allow me ask all kinds of questions throughout. After a short introduction, be gave me a taste of their vodka made from California oranges. I've never sipped vodka before, well, never COULD really, until now. The vodka was delicious, full of flavor and clearly, amazing for either drinking straight or in cocktails. I also tasted the second spirit made at the Spirit Guild, their gin which had a lot more going on than juniper berries as the botanicals used in its production. White sage, cinnamon and pistachio are only some of the botanicals I can recall. Finally, I was impressed with the variety of tonics sold in the form of syrup. They aren't carbonated and great to use with or without seltzer water. And of course, will last you way longer than any soda. I would highly recommend visiting the Spirit Guild and both learning something about the craftsmanship and getting yourself a gift of a delicious spirit to take home.

Yelp
This had been on my list to pop in for a while, but it was a hard sell going all the way out there just for that, when they only make 2 things so far. But it'd been on my list if I was ever in the area, which I was yesterday, and it is a super cool place. I'm glad it's free to taste, because it'd be an even harder sell paying to just taste 2 things, but I have to say, that is some fantastic gin and vodka. You only get a splash, obviously, but the point isn't getting drunk, it's to taste quality, and it is very much quality. I'm always sad when vodka says it's made from something interesting, but just tastes like vodka - theirs isn't that. It's very smooth, but still definitely has a noticeable (subtle, but noticeable) hint of the clementine oranges it's distilled from. The gin, on the other hand, is in your face with the oranges, as it's made with, among other things, a big pile of citrus peel. It is very bright, with a lot of flavor, and surprisingly smooth given that it's also 94 proof. I already have a ton of good gins, but when I run out of one of them, this might be the next one I buy. They also sell some really great shrubs, though sadly, they only had one of them open for tastings, so I just assume the others were probably also great given that the one I tried was. (They don't make the shrub themselves, it comes from somewhere in norcal, though I believe he said it was made by a company owned by a family member, and definitely still craft.) Also, the person pouring when I was there was one of the owners - that's always cool, getting to chat with the people who actually make the stuff, especially when their product is this good. Neat guy, too.

Yelp
LA just got classier thanks to master distillers Morgan & Miller who create vodka and gin made from a family citrus orchard's bounty. And now they've added award-winning olive oil to their goods for sale.

Yelp
Having pursued, perused and polished off every gin I could find in extensive work travels around the Western Hemisphere- including recent months in gin crazy Spain, I finally returned home only to find my new favorite is made right under my gin soaked nose here in LA. Astral Pacific gin is the smoothest and most charmingly unique and characterful example of Mother's Ruin I've found anywhere. I'd been recommended it by my local liquor store but just visited the actual source on a visit to the arts district. I met the charming ( lady) distiller and learned the gin is "super premium triple distilled" . All I know is the mouth feel is amazingly smooth and it makes the best martini ever. Go there and pick up a bottle - their Vodka is really smooth as well.

Yelp
Went on April 18, 2021. The length of the tour was on point. Walked away with some very good info. Service was great. The vodka and gin tasting was tasty and very generous portions. Fun Q&A during tasting.

Yelp
I am on a mission to get to know Los Angeles as much as I can. When I heard about The Spirit Guild and how they make their vodka and gin from clementine oranges, I knew I had to visit the place. The Spirit Guild is the only distillery in the world that makes their alcohol from oranges. So not only is this alcohol unique to the United States, but to California as well. My friend and I arrived for the 4:30 p.m. tour on a sunny Sunday afternoon. After giving us a taste of their specialty vodka and a brief introduction, the tour began. Our tour was a total of four people so the tour was very personalized. You will learn a lot about the process of how the vodka and gin are made and how everything from humidity to location in a warehouse changes the taste of alcohol. The hands-on tour will get everyone interested in the process of how alcohol is made. Our group got especially lucky because we got to see all the bottles that the company experimented with in order to get the amazing flavors that they have. At the end of the tour, you are again treated with a shot of gin. Personally, I liked the vodka more than the gin, but my friend was the exact opposite. It's really all up to preference, but let me just say that the gin is strong. I believe that MIller told us it was 94 proof! That's really strong! Miller was such a wonderful, informational tour guide. A bottle of vodka or gin cost $38. Many of the neighborhood bars carry The Spirit Guild's alcohol, which I found particularly awesome that they were supporting local business. Woohoo! P.S. If you are looking for a very LA experience that isn't so "touristy," this would be the place. After you could walk around and check out the artsy bars in the area.

Yelp
Wow- what an epic experience! They are a gin and vodka distillery made from clementine juice off the family's farm! Beautiful space, super friendly staff. And cheap! I know where I'm doing my Christmas shopping this year. Come for a tasting or a tour, you won't be disappointed. Feels like a church for gin! I see it in my repertoire for downtown shenanigans.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday with a large party and we all had a blast! You get greeted with a shot of their housemade vodka and the tour begins. Tour is roughly 30 minutes and then you get to try their housemade gin afterwards. Its slightly under an hour for the tour. My only complaint would be showing what goes exactly into the process of everything and showing ingredients used. We only see the machinery and what everything does. I'm more of a visual person so I think that would be more interesting. Overall, it was super fun! And the cute storefront is great for photos. Would recommend this place 100 percent.

Yelp
Only the finest machinery, finest quality gin, and finest level of service here. Excellent spot! I'm not a big gin drinker, ok, I don't actually drink gin at all, but this place is seriously a cool spot. The window panes and wooden doors are remarkable. The distillery machinery is gorgeous and I did have their orange infused gin... delish! I'd probably enjoy it more if it were mixed, but that's not what this place is for, really. They're here to make gin. Very good quality, tasty gin.

Yelp
This place was amazing The Sir that was helping gave us all the info that was in each tasting we did. I look forward to taking part of the tour next time. Tasting = FREE Tour = $10 per person

Yelp
Wow! Stumbled upon this gem the other morning and who are we to turn down free vodka and gin tasting at 11am!?!? Amazing service, super friendly staff and the gin and vodka were smooth as. Distilled from Clementine's it gave it such a unique taste! For sure a must try! We also ended up purchasing a ginger mixer called shrub & co. Obsessed!

Yelp
This is the most delicious vodka I have ever tasted! And I have tasted all that's out there. So light, delicate and subtly fragrant. It is magical. And no hangover the next day! And being made from locally grown clemantine oranges- people who are allergic or can't tolerate grain or corn can drink it. I have one friend who is allergic to potatoes and has ever been able to drink vodka- she had 3 cocktails with no ill effects. Amazing- don't want to drink anything else!
google avatar

Sagar S.

Yelp
Stopped by while I was walking through the neighborhood and got to taste their vodka and gin. I'm normally not one to sip on straight vodka or gin, but this vodka and gin were so delicious. The vodka was unlike any other vodka I've ever had, it was incredibly smooth and had and bright yet subtle flavor to it. The gin was great too--flavorful and crisp. I had the opportunity to chat with the owners as well and it was very obvious how passionate they are about distilling. I'll definitely have to make it back sometime to do a tour. If you're in LA and like vodka and gin, I can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Was randomly walking by to grab coffee next door and stopped by. I don't know anything about Gin but the gin I sampled was delicious. Definitely felt welcome as the staff was very friendly and helpful

Phillban S.

Yelp
Stopped in for the free tastings and talked shop with Max for a bit. Super friendly and knowledgeable guy. I LOVED the vodka; will definitely pick up a bottle next time I want to treat myself. The gin was equally as flavorful and unique. I'm a fan!
