The Square at Bressi Ranch

The whole Bressi Ranch shopping area is great. I lump them all together because you can find practically anything you need there.

Im just reviewing this deck here. Honest take? A great deck! True 2x decking - pretty beefy should last 25 years with the right maintenance! Would recommend you come enjoy a sandwich here.

This area has a lot of stores/restaurants and is set up to reflect a "hometown" atmosphere with sidewalk and patio areas, quaint storefronts and street parking. Well, they kind of did that... It's always crowded! The streets are super narrow and those stores that have parking lots are small, making navigating around the streets difficult. (There is usually a line to get into Trader Joe's parking lot, causing gridlock on the street with no way to scoot past waiting cars). There is a nice park at one end of the center where you can run your dog or quietly sit and have a coffee etc. There are the usual higher end, unique restaurants/shops that cater to that Carlsbad upper crust. I feel the planners had a great vision when it comes to this center, I just don't think that planned for the amount of people it would attract.

I'm here at least once a week for Wasabi edamame, which like everything else is overly expensive. The cashiers are constantly changing and have terrible attitudes. They keep changing product locations and the cash back only allows $40. If taken in all, one of my least favorite stores, weird because Trader Joe's across the street is awesome. So it's definitely the management...

Brand new shopping and dining strip mall directly across the street from Trader Joe's. There's a brand new Sprouts and several other interesting restaurants and stores including a golf experience store and several new stores coming. This mall is so new many of the stores including those in my photos aren't even listed on Google yet. It's worth the drive to check it out.

The shopping area is great: grocery, yoga, alcohol, restaurants, prescription drugs....everything you need. Plenty of parking but the layout of the lot sucks. Be prepared to dodge cars and people (at least you're in a place to either meditate or drink after your harrowing journey)

The Square at Bressi Ranch in Carlsbad is one of those new, high density malls that have serious access challenges. I first visited here to lunch at Mendocino Farms, and completely missed the entrance. Maneuvering to get into the place required me to ignore "no u-turn" signs at stop lights ( = break the law) or a take a very, very long out of the way jaunt just to return to the mall driveway. I won't ever admit to which one I opted for. That said, the mall is pretty, with the usual collection of better places to shop and dine. I will return to eat at Mendo (one of my favorite places), but I sure wish they worked out the access!

I'm thrilled to have all these new restaurants. But the parking is terrible. Two times I was there around lunch time and could not find a parking place. I went across the street to eat at one of the restaurants there. We're going to loose thsse great new places, if you don't do something, and quickly. Whoever planned this center did a terrible job
