"The Squealing Pig’s beer list is varied and vast. Order a few local IPAs. If you’re still hungry, get the hog burger, which is topped with bacon, gorgonzola, and a spicy chipotle onion spread. Head there between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. for $1 Wellfleet oysters." - Terrence Doyle

Warm staff greeting delicious perfectly skillfully shucked oysters no shell shards, full liqueur not a drop missing. Nepalese delicious curried chicken, spicy seafood chowder. Cape cod born and raised and loved every drop. Ice cold whalers rise. Great meal recommended highly. Will always make this a stop.

The pig is an absolute staple of Provincetown, the food is always quality, and considering some of the other options, pretty reasonably priced for a vacation spot. The asian style oysters are incredible, you gotta try them. Another one of my favorites are the haddock tacos, and smoky seafood chowder. Definitely pop in and give them a shot.

On a cold and rainy day in November, The Squealing Pig really fit the bill! On a recommendation, we checked out this place for lunch. Uncrowded on a weekday, we made our way in. Started with some cocktails which were well constructed and delicious. For food, companion and I each ordered the fried chicken. I have to say, the chicken was perfectly fried and still juicy. The breadi g wasn't over salted, which is so common these days. And the twice fried, hand cut fries were spot on too! We'll be back again!

I've waited all season to head to the Squealing Pig in Ptown. They have the best fish and chips around + amazingly addictive tartar sauce. Wife got fish tacos and stated them the best she's had. The twin who served us was so friendly, accommodating, and fun. We're going back for the oysters!!

We stopped here on a whim and were not disappointed. The server was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I split the soup of the day - I think it was a tomato bisque. The soup was good, but the croutons and the bread were the stars of the dish. The drinks and food arrived at our table with the perfect timing. We did not feel rushed at all. I ordered the Cape Cod Fish Fry for the main course. It had more breading than I prefer, but the temperature and flavor were spot on. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp tacos. The shrimp were fresh, plump and had just the right amount of seasoning. She really liked the spicy pig sauce that dressed the tacos.

The food here was fantastic and the bar tender was top notch. I enjoyed my grilled shrimp tacos and my girlfriend really liked their pulled pork sandwich. The French fries were on point, I would guess they were made in house. My espresso martini was good too. The seating was very tight as it’s a small place (like almost everything in Province Town). We lucked out and got a seat at the bar which was a nice spot. It was very busy even though it was off season so I would expect a wait during the summer.

Cute pub right in the center of town. Bartender was fast and nice. I got a chili to go. It seemed a bit pricey but they actually give a huge container of it and little chips to eat it with!

Came here with my family on our exploration of Cape Cod. We went in based on the recommendation of a person stood outside who raves about the smoked seafood chowder. My wife had her heart set on chowder so we went in. My wife got the smoked chowder, which was great, I had the fish tacos which were quite nice , and then we shared the Cape Cod seafood platter with fried haddock, shrimp, and scallops and devoured every bite! It came to 85 usd, so be prepared to spend here, but it is pretty good.

Yelp
Fortunate to have the Pig open on a cold winter night... Friendly crowd packed the bar and dining room on a Saturday night (it's lively and loud when busy). Super service, fresh ingredients... awesome bbq wings, huge burger cooked perfectly, and the house salad is a great combo of mixed greens, avocado, orange segments, roasted pepitas, sunflower seeds, and a tasty house dressing. Their french fries are definitely worth the indulgence--hand cut, home made, not the dreaded coated, commercial kind (and I'm a picky french fry addict). Extensive beers on tap--and they have my favorite Maine Lunch beer.

Yelp
This place is part Irish pub and part raw bar. The raw items were amazing, including a scallop ceviche on special that was outstanding. The raw oysters and shrimp were perfect. A friend got the fish fry and the entire table tried it; the slaw was not sweet, which we loved, and shrimp and scallops were included. Service was fun and friendly. Sitting inside is a classic pub vibe, and there's the option to sit upstairs, which is accessed via a side staircase. Go!

Yelp
We walked in there after we saw that they had shepherd pie. After a 10-15 min wait we were seated and were quickly told that it was "not going to happen" because it was seasonal. Not, "I'm so sorry we're not in season for that, but the other dishes are great." Simply - "not going to happen". The service is mediocre. The ambiance was fine albeit the environment is dingy and felt unsanitary. But that is most of P-town - nothing is pristine or clean. Everyone calls it quaint, I call it lazy and indifferent. The seafood chowder was pathetic. This was thin as thin gets and should not have been called a chowder. A chowder is supposed to be thick and creamy and I know there will be arguments around this but that is my stance on the topic. In any case, the bread served alongside saved it. My dining mate had a vegetable sandwich which was not memorable. My hamburger with cheddar was actually quite delicious. All in all, another P-town dive bar with a side of food.

Yelp
5 plus stars for our Saturday lunch. We arrived shortly after opening and scored the 4 top at the window. Our server promptly greeted us and served us the entire 2 hours, with a smile. He was super friendly and always available to make recommendations. Firstly, this is my fav eatery in town. The vibe is very Euro/Uk pub in feel. Tables are close and it's loud. Being sensory sensitive, these factors are usually off putting for me but at SP, it works. The raw bar is a must. The briny oysters are great but the huge fresh shrimp are amazing. I love the French red wine. The beers are top! I am mad in love over their house cut fries. The smoked haddock chowder is amazing. I don't eat meat but savored my partner's rich broth. The salmon burger is my go to!!

Yelp
We wandered into The Squealing Pig and were happy to see a mix of tourists (like us) and local fishermen dining. We got a bacon topped lobster roll with hand cut, twice fried fries and steamed mussels in white wine, butter and garlic. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and got great service at the bar, too. FYI, they serve a very delicious spicy Bloody Mary.

Yelp
Met some family at the squealing pig today for lunch. Staff was very accommodating helping us get a table that would allow a wheelchair at. We sat at a window seat and it was nice to watch the people walk by. My daughter and wife both got the butter milk fried chicken with Cole slaw and fries. The half chicken cut into 4 pieces had a crispy breading on it and was a bit dry. Possibly from spending a bit too much time in the fryer. The hand cut fries were nice but the Cole slaw while flavorful the portion was possibly 3 tablespoons. I had the fish and chips which were good with the same fries and the same 3 tablespoons of Cole slaw. My other daughter had the chicken sandwich with fries and slaw. Overall it was ok. The value was a bit lacking and we had hoped for a moist juicy chicken....can't always hit a home run.

Yelp
I had a great dinner last night at the Squealing Pig. I got the fish curry with rice and it was really tasty...fresh vegetables, light curry sauce and nice chunks of fish. The rice was fluffy and it was a good side for the curry dish. My husband got the chicken pesto panini and it was just OK. I would get the curry dish again, for sandwiches I would get the Cuban one. Nice friendly server, it was a bit loud as the place is a bit echoey.... but otherwise good food...

Michael C.

Yelp
Nice casual bar with friendly service and nice people as well the Guinness was nice and cold had BLT that was really good plenty of bacon and also fish tacos which was excellent nice quiet place to enjoy a nice meal

Tony D.

Yelp
Good food, good service and a good beer and cocktail selection. This place is a Provincetown institution

Kevin M.

Yelp
To the staff of the "Pig" especially Peter and Lily ~ we cannot thank you enough for staying open long enough for three consecutive nights to allow two Californians to enjoy the World Series during Spooky Bear week. The hospitality you showed us was incredible! While we've always enjoyed the food and drinks, you went Above and Beyond any expectations.

Bella T.

Yelp
The food was so damn good!! So fresh like everything was made for order. The fish tacos were really good specially, and our server was always keeping check on us which was really nice & friendly. The restaurant was very welcoming and well lit area. It seems like you can find lots of regulars here & I will definitely be returning (:

Peter H.

Yelp
When in cape cod you order sea food. It does not get any fresher that sea food in cape cod. What if you go to a restaurant on Cape Cod and Yelp recommends a Cuban sandwich.....you must get the Cuban sandwich. Yelp FTW! One of the better Cuban sandwiches I've had. Completely unexpected on Cape Cod. Truth be told we did order a dozen wellfleet oysters which were delicious. Even my daughters tried and kind of liked the oysters. Not bad for their first oyster. We also ordered the fried calamari. Nicely breaded and delicious.

Michael L.

Yelp
We had a very good lunch at the Squealing Pig this afternoon. The smoky chowder was on the runny side but it was very flavorful. There's only one size which our waitress described as bigger than a cup but smaller than a bowl. It could have been too much for one person but it was shared so that wasn't a problem. The sandwiches were great. Hot, crispy, toasted bread and great taste. I wanted the Cubano since they do pig! Oh the meat was tender and overall it was great. The mussels were a bit on the small side but overall very good (not great). Service was also very good despite being on the patio where the wait staff (one person) had to climb up and down the stairs repeatedly. This is a sold 4 star restaurant and I would try it again.

Julie T.

Yelp
Sat outside and it was perfect. I ordered the quilling pig burger and fries. Burger was average. The fries here are delicious. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was tasty. Great spot and view of the bay.

Kathleen C.

Yelp
Checked this place out as it appeared busy from the outside. This table was sticky and we were surrounded by fruit flies throughout our meal. The place was pretty dark, presumably to hide the dirtiness. I looked up at a shelf behind us and there was a glass filled with liquid in what appeared to be a fruit fly trap. Food was mediocre at best. Waitress was nice.

Darci L.

Yelp
I had the lobster roll (1st one ever!) and was so excited but it was disappointing. It was very bland. The roll itself was good it just needed to be "kicked up a notch"! My husband really enjoyed his fish & chips. He said it was the best he's had. My daughter had the clam chowder. It was a thin broth, not as creamy and she didn't care for it. Service was great, drinks were good and ambience was pleasant. We sat outside upstairs, and overall it was a nice experience!

Raquel T.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the Squealing Pig! Coincidentally, I was headed to a different restaurant right across the street for lunch, but they were closed. I saw Squealing Pig was open. I quickly checked the reviews on Yelp...good reviews...so I figured I'd try! Happy I did, it was good. I got half dozen oysters, smoky chowder, and the fish sandwich. The oysters were amazing. That and the chowder were my favorites. The fish sandwich wasn't bad. I sat outside upstairs which was perfect weather.

David L.

Yelp
I've liked this place over the years. After moving here several years ago I found it to be one of the few places in town with friendly staff and patrons. I like the menu. The only thing that bothers me (it made a big impact on my last dining experience) was their leniency about allowing guests to enter with their dogs. A couple was seated next to us with a huge hound dog. It was not a service dog, it was not well behaved and while the owners tried to keep in under the table, the dog wanted out. Also, we could smell the dog from our table. Squealing Pig, please comply with health department rules. I want to continue dining with you but, while I love my dog and other dogs, they don't belong in a restaurant dining room.

Maryann P. D.

Yelp
The Squealing Pig is my favorite restaurant in Provincetown. The staff, ambiance and food are extraordinary. We usually eat here on the last day of our visit. I love the relaxing space. You will really like this place! The service is great and the people are friendly as well. Relax and enjoy!!

Yelp
We had just worked up quite the appetite paddle boarding for what I was convinced was at least an hour and a half but turns out it was less than an hour. Either way, all of that paddling and all of the water requires some caloric intake. This place earned our business by virtue of the fact that it was literally right there when we came back to shore. I remembered reading good reviews about this place so I was optimistic. I was in more of a savory alcohol mood and went against my better judgment and ordered their Bloody Mary. The thing is, I love bloody Mary's but I'm exquisitely picky and too often I have been disappointed when ordering them out so I just gave up tbh and only made them at home. This was the exception and disappointed is an under statement. The flavor isn't great for my taste but what really repulsed me is all of the fucking horseradish in there. I don't need to chew my beverage. GF, on the other hand, liked it enough she happily drank mine when I could no longer tolerate it. I will say that I appreciate the vegetarian options on their menu. I really need to lighten my diet up so elected to go with their house salad with mixed greens, avocados, orange segments, roasted peptias, and sunflower seeds. I added the optional falafel and I'm glad I did because that was definitely the best part of the meal. The falafel were very crispy on the outside, warm and flavorful on the inside. I never thought I would encounter this problem in a place like Provincetown but they didn't even toss my salad. There were parts of the salad that were way too heavily dressed and then other parts that were completely dry. The bowl was too small for ME to toss it and I don't think I should be expected to do so in a restaurant unless there was some pussy "dressing on the side" bullshit in which there is no alternative. I applaud their ingenuity with the oranges and I appreciate the extra plants and vitamin C but I am not convinced that it paired well with the other flavors but that could just be because of the falafel. GF ordered their vegetable sandwich with seasoned grilled vegetables, hummus, yogurt dill sauce on grilled pita bread. She says "it was very good, I loved it" and I was jealous AF. This is what I get for being "healthy". The side of fries that accompanied the sandwich were DELICIOUSLY salted and I assisted in their consumption. Speaking of fries, I ordered their Nepali curry fries to give me the will to live after ordering the salad. I again like where they're going with this as I like curry and I like fries and why hasn't anyone thought of combining these things before on THIS side of the Atlantic Ocean. I liked the flavor of these bad boys but the sauce makes them super soggy which detracts from the experience. The service was great and our server took really good care of us but unfortunately the meal for me was disappointing.

Yelp
This is an excellent place to stop when you're traveling through the madness of the shops and beaches of Ptown. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a nice relaxed place to have a chill drink and some food as a break from the shopping. When we were there the bartender was really helpful and extremely chill and friendly, which we didn't see at many places in town. The cocktails that had pig themed names were tasty and strong, and the tap beer list was pretty good. The food they were serving looked and smelled pretty great too, and the fries we had there were perfect.

Tori B.

Yelp
Good spot to stop at when in the Provincetown area. Get the lobster roll. Burger was not good.

Jim S.

Yelp
Great food and service. The fried chicken was crispy and tender. The seafood soup was really excellent.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Food was really good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Good spot in the Commercial st of Provincetown.

Lauren B.

Yelp
Great food and fantastic service by Rich! Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating! I would recommend the place for the service alone!

Danielle C.

Yelp
fun place to watch sports in ptown! Our bartender was funn and kind. Lots of drink options. Wings and fries. Irish bar had malt vinegar.

Jesse P.

Yelp
Throughly enjoyed our lunch and dinner at SQ. Service was great! Yes, they were quite busy during Halloween and yet didn't miss a beat. Oysters are my fan fav! But really, everything is great on the menu.

Lisa M.

Yelp
This is a busy little place! We were able to grab some seats at the bar. The bar tenders are busy, mixing drinks and shucking oysters. I absolutely enjoyed the beautiful, fresh shucked oysters. I felt that whole visiting the area that I would be a bad tourist, should I skip the lobster roll. So, I obliged tradition. I was not disappointed. Fresh lobster meat piled high on the soft roll. It was delish. My friend had some smokey clam chowder. He enjoyed his choice as well. I am glad we stopped.

Jacquelina F.

Yelp
This place is small (we almost walked right by it. Strollers definitely don't fit in the place but they were kind enough to find a place for our double stroller where it was safe We ordered a pulled pork sandwich (my 12 year old loved it), cheese quesadilla (my daughter said "the cheese is delicious", the smoky fish chowder (my husband really liked it, he said there was more fish than potatoes which was a nice surprise), I ordered jerk chicken wings and let me tell you one of the best wings I've had. I do not like rubbery or "uncrispy skin" or overly breaded wings. These wings had perfect seasoning and crispy but not overly salt. I would 100% order again and come just for the wings. I had a frozen margarita and my husband had a frozen rośe. Delish. service was great our waitress was kind and attentive Would recommend.

Scott F.

Yelp
Oysters delicious mussels delicious fish sandwich fresh fish not frozen and shepherds pie wow! So good i liked this food a lot

Mercedes C.

Yelp
When my husband said we were going to the 'Squealing Pig', all I said was, "here we go again...another pork-induced restaurant". Far from it! Take it from me- I'm a Pescatarian! This simple and to-the-point Irish pub nails Irish vibes with a certain warmth. The Squealing Pig has nothing to do with seafood but it's an essential Irish Pub on Commercial St nonetheless. Atmosphere is lively, showed Vax proof and seated immediately. Service was super nice, so was our meal and the old-school Reggae music. We shared a bowl of smoked seafood chowder and questioned if the 'smoked' in the chowder came from pork- which our server reassured me it's from the smoked fish. Our 'Drunkle' spiced cocktails were TKO, hubs loved their Cuban sandwich and said it was the best he's had from non-Cuban folks. My fish in my fish & chips meal was light as air. [I had a Fish & Chips meal elsewhere in Ptown and the batter resembled that of fried chicken and made the fish heavy]. Squealing Pig is that kind of place where you wanna come and chill. It's the ambiance, service and the food that speaks for itself.

Buka M.

Yelp
The food is great. This restaurant has a wide variety of starters, oysters and amazing entrees. I highly recommend people to try the trio chicken wing platter. The service is amazing, the food comes from the kitchen as quickly as it can. The inside of the restaurant has a lot of art and if you go to the back of the building you can find a luxurious ocean view.

Michelle S.

Yelp
The food was so delicious, the wait time was easy and we had outdoor dining available. Our server was so sweet and attentive

Marilyn R.

Yelp
food was yum!!! waitress was a bit off her game but very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was good .

Sean F.

Yelp
Even though it is small, the atmosphere is great...food is very good...but the staff could be friendlier

Patricia D.

Yelp
My wife and I went here last night and the food was spectacular! Everything was so delicious we finished everything on our plates. My burger was cooked well instead of medium well like I had ordered, but again it was so delicious I didn't mind much. My wife got the kebabs and they were delicious as well. The service was alright. We waited about 25 minutes for a server to come over but when she did she was nice and helpful! Overall it was a great place, we'll definitely be back!

Robert R.

Yelp
I have to say, the locale was great. The food was good to great. The service was good, but there were some teoubling

Craig C.

Yelp
Went there today after the Whale watch. Does not look like much from the street. But they have outdoor seating upstairs, and that is small but very nice with a water view. Amber was our waitress and she is great. We ended up getting the Cuban sandwich and Smokey seafood chowder. The food was delicious and we will be back again next year.

Sara H.

Yelp
We came here on a Monday In late august around noon. Has a very welcoming environment and chill place to eat. We had the Wellfleet oysters, and calamari for our appetizers. The oysters were a nice size and and great flavor to them. they were fresh, flavorful, and not fishy. Then the calamari was delightful! It came with a dry sauce that had a nice heat to it that added to the flavor of the calamari. All the food was delicious.

Courtney G.

Yelp
Passed by a few times and it was always packed but found spots at the bar on a rainy Saturday and glad we did! Very friendly bartenders and great selections. Vibes were emasculate.

Dave G.

Yelp
A great place to grab a bite and a drink. Their service was accommodating. At first we wanted to sit outside but we changed our minds due to bright sunshine which we were not prepared for, we were seated indoors then. Fair priced bar and bar food.

christopher b.

Yelp
The good thing was we were sat at a table and was able to order right away. The bad thing was we had to wait a long time just for our drinks to come and even longer for our food. We didn't know why it took so long and the waitress didn't explain. I ordered the fried chicken and it was dry and under seasoned. Not good. The atmosphere was loud and noisy.

Paul Francis M.

Yelp
Solid place to get some food. The smoked chowder is fantastic as well as the chicken pesto sandwich.

Javier R.

Yelp
Love this place, their punch reminds me of the monsoon of New Orleans. The only negative review I would have to address is that the servers or the prep workers who make the seafood platter do not wear gloves. They touch the shrimp without gloves and the chips without gloves, I am a 1st person witness to it... pleaseee wear gloves... that is the only reason I give it 2 stars

Patricia C.

Yelp
Fabulous spot with locals and tourists alike. Great bartenders, drinks & food. Great seafood chowder and fish & chips!

Terry M.

Yelp
I can't say enough great about this eatery. The drinks are first rate. But that is only the beginning. The food is perfect and the service is over the top. I highly recommend Squealing Pig - for lunch or dinner - you won't be disappointed.

Patricia W.

Yelp
Irish pub that doesn't stay in tune with Irish sports? This pub has great food, how about sports on the big screen

Chris W.

Yelp
Here right now watching England vs Switzerland. Bruce - who I imagine is the owner, has been nothing but attentive and hospitable the whole time. Thank you!! His secret is swimming, that's why my wife thinks he looks in great shape

David S.

Yelp
Nice little place for lunch. Was able to sit on back deck and overlook the water. Service was good. Food was also good. Had the fish sandwich and it was everything you could want in a fish sandwich. Friends had the lobster rolls and they said they were better than Lobster Pot so there is that.
