A ‘Top Chef’ Alum and James Beard Nominee Opens an Asbury Park Restaurant - Eater NY

"Judy's is a Jersey Italian American restaurant viewed through a Jewish lens. The menu features red sauce classics and Jewish American items, with a wine list influenced by the Ashkenazi Jewish diaspora. The restaurant pays homage to Neilly Robinson's mother, combining storytelling with culinary excellence." - Melissa McCart

"Located behind the historic building, this lush pool is our favorite retreat in Asbury Park: attentive service, comfortable loungers, food and drinks make it ideal for an all-day pool day, and you can access it as a hotel guest or by snagging a day pass." - Coolstuff Team

10/10 stay for a girls weekend! Absolutely loved staying at the St. Laurent and exploring Asbury Park. The hotel was beyond awesome! The rooms were immaculate and the beds were super comfortable. The pool was hoppin with lots of delicious food and drink options — you can eat lunch at your pool chair or shaded tables. The coffee stand and drink cart were so cute and yummy. We had drinks at Harry’s and ate at Judy’s (one of the best meals of my life). Already planning my next trip back with my husband!

Had a great stay at The St. Laurent, it could be excellent but needs a few improvements. They really make the most out of every inch of this property! Rooms were nice, clean with everything you needed. They even provided Sunflow beach chairs in your closet. Almost didn't book because of the murphy bed but it was actually quite comfortable. The pool area is great and the staff there were very nice but the pool closes at 5:00. I understand the restaurant is right there, but at the very least they need to close the bar early and allow people to sit after the beach. We only got to enjoy it for 40 minutes before they kicked us out.| The front porch (maybe put a curtain up to cover the extra signs and chairs you're storing on the side) and lounge were great spaces but service was slow and rude. Bartender was annoyed with us the minute we asked for a drink, even after we complimented her on the drinks she was still dismissive and this was on a relatively quiet Sunday night. The food in the restaurant (Judy's) is excellent, chicken savoy and chicken parm were the best I've ever had! People complained about parking but we had no issues at all finding a spot right on the street. Overall happy with our choice and would return!

Everything about my stay was great. I’m happy that I wasn’t deterred by other reviews because my stay exceeded my expectations. My only comment is about price but based on other rates in Asbury it’s to be expected. The room was small but perfectly fine for 2 people. I requested a refrigerator and they provided it. I drank at Harry’s and ate at Judy’s and was thrilled with both experiences. I did not take advantage of the pool, but it looks like a great space for a fun afternoon. The staff through the property was friendly and helpful and warm. I have already booked my next stay!! Perfect for a solo trip, a girls trip or a couples trip!

I’ve visited before just to use the pool for the day but this time I stayed overnight for a mini getaway. Check in and check out were seamless. It was difficult finding parking but later in the day when the pool closed I was able to move my car right in front. Pool was great, service was quick, food served was delicious however besides wine and beer there were only 3 choices for cocktail. I would have preferred more choices than an aperol spritz, margarita or lemonade. The room was clean and decor was simple and modern, bed was super comfortable, bathroom was Small but loved the shower. Judy’s restaurant food and service were a 10. Lounge was great for after dinner drinks and relaxing. I do wish there was a changing room for transitioning after the pool closes. There is no breakfast. I really thinks it’s important to offer a little something like a continental breakfast; something simple like bananas, muffins, croissant, danish would suffice but not to offer anything at all was disappointing; especially since the pool doesn’t open for food service til 11am and we didnt want to risk going out and losing our parking spot. Overall it was an excellent stay and I will certainly be back in the future.

Absolutely loved my stay at St. Laurent Social Club! I recently went to the St. Laurent Social Club for a girls trip and was blown away by the hotel, food and staff! The hotel and grounds, including the pool, are modern, beautiful, and immaculate. The drinks and food were delicious - with fresh ingredients and creative flavors - all of our meals were memorable! And the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, which made our stay feel like a real vacation. Truly a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely love this quaint hotel. This is the first time I purchased a pool pass without staying at the hotel. The pool was fabulous and the service was even better. Subtle background music and chairs was extremely comfortable. Pool and grounds were beyond clean and neat. Added bonus is it was 21 and over. Enjoyed our adult pool day

We just spent a weekend here and left extremely disappointed — especially given the cost. Between the hotel stay (~$1500 for two nights) and what we spent on-site at the restaurant, pool, and bar (another $1000), this “weekend getaway” totaled about $2500. For that amount, we expected so much more from the hotel experience. The Good: -Rooms were clean, albeit small for 4 girls to share -Great location — walkable and close to the beach -Restaurant and bar staff were fantastic — friendly, attentive, and welcoming The Bad: -The hotel staff were not. We were rarely greeted in the lobby and constantly asked if we were even guests, despite always being together as a group of four. It felt unwelcoming and dismissive the entire time. -Our hotel room door was a major annoyance- we had to slam and jiggle it multiple times just to get it to latch and lock — unacceptable for this price point. -The pool was a huge letdown. It closes at 5pm, so you barely get to enjoy it, and even as paying hotel guests, we weren’t guaranteed spots (daybeds). For $2500 spent on property, we should have had priority access. -On our first night, we received a noise complaint at 11pm for simply laughing while putting on PJs and picking a movie — nothing wild or disruptive. Yet later that same night we were woken multiple times by what sounded like furniture moving and things dropping above us at 1:30am and 3am. No complaints seemed to be issued for that, likely because the receptionist leaves at midnight. It felt personal. The next morning, we were woken by people shouting in the hallway. Clearly the walls are thin and noise travels. Instead of singling out guests, why not send an all-building communication asking everyone to keep it down? Again, for the price, you’d expect better sound insulation and more fair treatment. -On top of everything, there were no gestures of appreciation for the amount of money we spent. No room credit, no complimentary drink at the bar, nothing. At this level, you expect at least something that acknowledges your loyalty as a guest. Bottom line: The restaurant and bar staff understand hospitality, but the hotel staff do not. Between the unfriendly treatment, poor soundproofing, early pool closures, and lack of value for the money, this was simply not worth it. There are plenty of other hotels in the area at a similar price point that offer bigger rooms, better beach access, and staff who actually make you feel welcome. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

What a quaint sophisticated Boutique Hotel...the restaurant is phenomenal. The bar area super cute and the pool makes you feel like you are in Hamptons beach party. The pool staff isn't very friendly they had the look on their face like why are you talking to me which is unfortunate. The amount I paid to stay in NJ i was hoping and expecting more. Unfortunately they are kids and as most can attest too they just dont really care.
