Live Music is Back!
The full spectrum of dining at the St. Regis has not yet returned but you can hear a good band playing a variety of contemporary hits at the St. Regis Bar & Wine Vault. Just stopped by for some Champagne and enjoyed the music and even danced a little. Reminded me of the things we used to take for granted before Covid.
Hopefully you've been vaccinated (still boggles my mind why some people don't), and if you want to hear some great music, have a drink, maybe dance or do some people watching in a laid back, elegant setting, this is a good option. Give a call to check on the days and hours the band plays and what the food options are if you want to eat. The wine vault room is a beautiful impressive designed collection of wine.
Parking: $15 with validation.
UPDATE:
We returned again to experience the Champagne Sabering ritual and have some dinner. Champagne sabering is the art of using a sword to open a bottle of Champagne, or house sparking wine in this case. Check for which days they are doing the presentation. It is usually around 5:30 or 6 p.m. After the sabering the staff shares some of the bubbles with all of the guests. It is a St. Regis brand sparking wine made in California, a little too much sugar dosage for me. The Bloody Mary was said to be invented at the St. Regis (New York) and there is also a ritual where Bloody Mary's are made at the open of the bar and samples are passed out to the guests as well.
The wine list and menu is not posted online, so I've taken some photos to share with you. There is also a larger extensive wine by the bottle list available on request.
For food there is a selection of sushi rolls, sashimi and various hot bites such as shrimp tempura, wings, Wagyu Burger, Butterfish and Striploin steak among other items, see photo of menu. We choose some sushi rolls, sashimi, steamed short rib buns and Korean fried chicken. For dessert we had a cheesecake that was very good. The food is all good, but I give it 4 stars for food, not 5. I give it 5 stars for comfort and music. So if you're looking for a night out, laid back, live two person band, oldies and pop hits, older crowd, pet friendly, can dance (but you might be the only ones), The St. Regis Bar & Wine Vault is an option.
