How to Plan a Trip to Belgrade, Serbia

"A glistening glass skyscraper on the Belgrade Waterfront that opened in November 2024, designed with an all-curves silhouette meant to emulate the fluidity of the Sava and Danube. The property offers 119 rooms and suites with signature butler service, a St. Regis Bar, a waterfront brasserie, a serene spa, and a 360-degree rooftop observation deck for sweeping views." - Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd is a travel, wine and lifestyle writer.  Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

The St. Regis Belgrade (Belgrade, Serbia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Rising above the Sava River, The St. Regis Belgrade is a composed counterpoint to the energy of its surroundings. Its 119 rooms are beautifully detailed, with expansive views and well-thought-out touches: a mix of contemporary silhouettes, polished marble, and warm-toned textiles. The spa, indoor pool, and brasserie-style dining create space to reset, while the signature butler service brings ease without excess. Just steps from Belgrade Waterfront, it is a poised landing place in a city moving quickly toward the spotlight." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed here for several days just before non-Orthodox Xmas. Everything was open as Serbia celebrates Xmas on 7 Jan 2025. The hotel is in a good location, on the burgeoning waterfront and next to a really nice mall. there are several relatively new shops and restaurants near the hotel as well. the hotel staff are friendly and professional, with many having trained in the industry overseas. We stayed in a suite with a beautiful overlooking the Sava river. Hotel room was well designed with lots of space. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was good and the water was very hot. Hotel supplied free bottles of still water and the snacks non-alcoholic, non-premium drinks from the mini-fridge were free. Probably the highlight of the hotel was the breakfast. It is ala carte, not a buffet, but we could order anything on the menu, and the kitchen staff were willing to prepare items like a Serbian salad that was not on the menu. Food was freshly prepared and very good. A particular highlight was the apple juice. Our server, Marija, was friendly and really helped make us feel welcome. The other staff at breakfast were great, particularly the greeters. Some of the previous reviews have been critical of the hotel, but our experience was fantastic.

One of the most interesting and most beautiful places in Belgrade! Rise cafe and its staff amazed me with their proffessionalism, elegancy and hospitality. The waiter Lazar made us homemade ice teas, and after that we tried different kinds of cocktails and cakes that one can only find here. One big reccommendation for everyone, especially if you want to feel the luxury and enjoy this unique experience!

Brand new hotel, very fancy and luxurious. It's in a central spot, and the rooms are very nice. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious (a la cart). The only complaint we had was the quality of the room service, the food was average, at best. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.

If you are heading to Belgrade, can I recommend the St Regis?||I have been a Marriott Ambassador for 11 years, and I must tell you that this St. Regis is one of the best places you will ever stay.||The hotel is new, and the staff are exceptionally well trained and happy to help.||The restaurant is incredible, serving local dishes and exceptional Serbian wine.||Please say hello to Dragisa, the wine master, and Stvan, the chef. Both of these guys are always happy to help.||Finally, you can visit the city within a thirty-minute walk.

Savant Restaurant at the St. Regis Belgrade is amazing! It’s on the ground floor, with beautiful views of the promenade and Sava River. The Tuna Wellington was absolutely delicious, and their wine list had so many great options. The atmosphere is elegant but relaxed, and the service was spot on. Perfect spot for a special meal in Belgrade!

I can’t say enough about the wonderful time we had at the St. Regis hotel in Belgrade, Serbia. I’m American and have been visiting Eastern Europe for 20 plus years as my husband is Croatian and this hotel by far is one of the best experiences we’ve had world wide. We stayed at the St. Regis Belgrade to celebrate our 20- year wedding anniversary. First of all the staff - Darija, Jelena, Nikoleta, the butler staff, all staff were ALL exceptional and so kind and had many sweet gifts for us to honor our anniversary celebration. Secondly, the location is phenomenal, it’s located in the beautiful building is gorgeous and located on the highly popular Belgrade waterfront district on the Sava River. The views of the river and new Belgrade are stunning, also the hotel is just a short walk from the restaurants, the super nice galerija mall and only 20 minute walk from the city center- please visit city center when staying at the St. Regis! Third- our room, a delux king with Riverview- it was stunning, super clean and not one detail to attention was missed- every detail was luxurious, fresh flowers and welcome sweets were a plus. The bed was extremely comfortable and the deep tub was large enough for my tall husband. Fourth, the food - breakfast at Savant was delicious, they had Serbian favorites as well as traditional breakfast items. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict and Avacado toast - probably the best I’ve had and of course they met my request of traditional American bacon on the side. We sadly didn’t have enough time to visit the spa, but it offers a variety of services and I look forward to trying it when we return! Thank you St. Regis Belgrade for making our anniversary celebration so special, we will be back!
