First time here and decided to come here after my kiddos graduation from Boise State. The place gave me an old timey feel for a place back home in Montana when I was younger. We had to wait a little bit but only to be expected on A Saturday night. Also, if your full party is not there, then you don't get your table yet....deal with it. Once seated we were greeted right away by our server who took our drink order. Drinks came and then ordered the appetizer sampler plus added two more of the prawns to it. So good. Two of us had the larger prime rib. One with fries and the other with a loaded baked potato. The third had the prime rib dip. Also had the mushrooms for the prime rib. Man o man the food was wonderful, flavorful and super good. Someone from our server to whom I believe may have been one of the owners was always checking in with us. Great experience and if back in the Boise area we will be back.

This place is iconic and has been around forever, probably looking much the same as when it originally opened. The staff is average. The clam chowder, believe it or not, was actually really good, one wouldn’t expect solid clam chowder so far from the ocean. The shrimp, however, is what you’d expect from something so far from the ocean: gross and very expensive. Not to mention, it was raw. Yep, raw, they fry it like French fries and still sent it out RAW. The bread was okay, and the prime rib steak sandwich was average, the mashed potatoes were something that looked like they came from a hospital cafeteria, but were actually edible. Being generous with three stars, I have no clue how this place rates as high as it does.

To start out with the food was truly fabulous. My dad loves pan fried oysters, and they were his favorite so far anywhere. The blue cheese dressing was absolutely fabulous and made here. All of the food was wonderful. And we love the old time stagecoach atmosphere. Our server was extremely friendly and on top of it.

Great place! Old fashioned steakhouse with a warm, fun vibe. Restaurant was super busy but our server, Jenna, was on her game, very sweet and service was impeccable. Our food was excellent. We all ended up sharing bites. Steaks and prawns were cooked to perfection, salad was crisp and fresh. Cocktails were outstanding. Will definitely be returning for another great dining experience.

Tucked away in the heart of Boise, ID, The Stagecoach Inn is more than just a place to eat—it's a journey through time, steeped in history and culinary excellence. As one of the city's oldest establishments, this restaurant has been serving patrons for decades, preserving its charm while offering some of the best steaks I've ever tasted. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with a warm, nostalgic ambiance that reflects the restaurant's storied past. The decor is a perfect blend of vintage elegance and comfort, with rich wooden furnishings, antique light fixtures, and walls adorned with photographs and memorabilia that tell the story of the restaurant's heritage. It's the kind of place where every corner whispers tales of the past, making it as much a museum as it is a dining venue. But the true star of this restaurant is undoubtedly the steak. Cooked to perfection, each bite melts in your mouth, bursting with flavor that can only come from top-quality cuts of meat expertly prepared by chefs who know their craft. Whether you prefer your steak rare or well-done, they get it just right every time, with a sear that locks in the juices and a seasoning that enhances the meat without overpowering it. It's no wonder this place has earned a reputation for serving the best steak in town. Adding to the experience is the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. From the moment you're seated, you're made to feel like a valued guest. The servers are knowledgeable, eager to recommend the best dishes, and genuinely invested in ensuring you have an unforgettable dining experience. Their warmth and professionalism are the perfect complement to the restaurant's historic charm. In summary, Stagecoach Inn is more than just a restaurant—it's a culinary institution. With its impeccable steaks, inviting atmosphere, and stellar service, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a bit of history and a lot of flavor. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to add this gem to your list of dining destinations.

I’ve always enjoyed “The Coach” but my experience tonight was the best. Josh made the best chocolatini I’ve ever had. Now it ranks at my number 1

A staple in the Boise restaurant scene. This place has been good and consistent for decades. Cocktails are top notch. Wine list is nice. Very vibey atmosphere, it’s always dimly lit inside. Food is great - love the bread, salad and pan fried oysters. Service is always great - staff is so friendly and helpful. Definitely add this to your list if you haven’t been here yet.

I can’t say enough good things about Tina at the Stagecoach! She is an outstanding waitress who always goes above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The food is simply amazing and seems to get better every time we visit. We’ve never had a bad meal here! The prawns are hands down the best in town, and the porterhouse and lobster are absolutely 10 stars on their own. The quality and flavor are exceptional, and the service is always top-notch. If you’re looking for a fantastic dining experience, don’t miss out on the Stagecoach. With Tina’s great service and their incredible menu, you’ll leave happy every time! Highly recommend!
