Allow me to set the scene: a ragged group of long time friends in their finest Thursday wear, primed for an evening of camaraderie-- poring over Idaho's finest chunks. Little did they know they stepped inside a Time Machine to a place that encompasses the genuine old tavern ambience that all other places try to replicate but can't seem to get just right, allowing you to completely forget about the world outside. The shrimpkin was to die for, and they all shared their chunks together like one big jolly family. Teehee! Also don't forget to check out the parking lot, it's electric! Teehee! Pero no podriamos continuar sin hablar del incredible servicio y amabilidad de los meseros y el color del prime rib. Amidst the glitz and glamour of the leather lined booths, smoky air from fresh cooked meats, and tables fully stocked with baskets of saltine crackers, I felt a sense of pride that this establishment is in my home state as I bit into my steamy sourdough roll. When my father escaped Vietnam, leaving his homeland as a refugee, he dreamt of Americana. He was entranced by the tunes of Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan, the spaghetti western's of Clint Eastwood, and the amazing cuisine of American beef. He would be proud of this establishment, as this place is what Americana stands for. I truly lost myself in time here, and I wish my ancestors could have joined me for this night.
Cling clang thank you maam! I done popped me a button or two because that meal, well, that meal right there, it's what happened when dee plus licious saddled on up to a booth here and damned if they didn't produce some of their own home made cream p1es later on that night wink wink !
As the board meeting came to a close, we didn't know what we were more thankful for - the mind-reading service, the Smokey ambiance, or the fact that the wall to wall carpet stretched out to the parking lot to carry our now extra heavy feet to dreamland and beyond.
