The LA Sports Bar Directory

"The 50/50 in their name is a reference to a half-beef-half-bacon burger, and it must be good, because Slater’s now has locations in four states. The Pasadena spot is filled with TVs and arcade games, making it a solid spot to watch your team. There’s also a very involved build-your-own-burger menu that’s more entertaining than the Miami Dolphins." - kat hong, james montgomery

Google
The stand has an outstanding staff whose courtesy should be the standard for every establishment. The food was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. One of the best burger, fries and beer I've ever had. I tried the ABC Burger (Avocado, Bacon, Cheddar,) regular fries and a The Stand IPA. Great stuff. Cannot wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Stopped in for a bite before watching a show at the playhouse across the street. It's a great location. The turkey sandwich was surprisingly good. The southwest chicken burger was also quite delicious. They use good ingredients, and you can taste it. The regular fries and sweet potato fries were okay, nothing special. The service was great. Someone came around and offered everyone free samples of their ice creams. The line never got too long, the place was busy, but not crowded. Overall it has a good atmosphere. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but that seems to be true for most places today. We would definitely come back for another quick bite.

Google
Got the French onion soup burger 100% would recommend. Nice staff as well! Their sweet chili sauces is delicio too

I came with my colleagues for lunch after our work event and it was all of our first time visiting The Stand... We had such an amazing experience! Brian (taking our order) was AMAZING! He was helpful, patient, and very sweet during our entire visit! He even helped my colleague download the app and explained how it worked for points... Our server was FANTASTIC... The food was INCREDIBLE... The restaurant was clean and the aesthetic was perfect! We will be sure to come back again and again! Thank you to Brian, our server, and The Stand for allowing us to experience an amazing lunch today!

Google
Lots of options at this place! Even my Vegan friend was able to order a Vegan burger here. We LOVED that cucumber-mint drink, their crispy fries, & eating out on their patio. (Nice that they even have TWO!) Service was slow, but it was a Sunday during the Art Walk next door, so The Stand WAS slammed. It's probably got quicker service on other days.

Google
Service is great, food is tasty. Love the southwest chicken wrap. And the salad portions are HUGE (I would ask for dressing on the side - it was slightly overdressed). There was an issue with my online order and everyone was so kind and they remade the whole thing and gave me a sweet little treat for the trouble. Thanks again!

Google
Nice place for a salad or sandwich in old town. Some outdoor seating. Some good healthy options.

I’ve been to other “The Stand” restaurants and love their food. I was nearby and decided to stop by this one. Same excellent quality as the others. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad and it was delicious. The chicken pieces were tender and juicy, the salad was fresh, the sauce was delicious and overall the salad was great. I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items.

Yelp
Food: pesto chicken sandwich: lemon aoli and pesto compliment the chicken well. 10:10 recommend. Drinks: blueberry lemonade and cucumber mixed delicious. portion size: well sized portions service: great staff, friendly and knowledgeable of the food. Ambiance: great for any group. we sat outside and they have tables inside too. Parking: a little tight to find parking but we parked at the target lot and walked over. Payment: apple pay and card are both options. not sure about cash

Yelp
Visiting a friend & he suggested we try the Stand, good choice I'd say..This isn't a large place, or fancy, but it does serve good food & has a decent selection of beer.. I had the Chicken wrap with fries, both taste great & worth the $18.00 price...If it's simple with no pretense, this place is for you.. A solid 4 Stars

Yelp
Free parking validation for 75 min at the Playhouse Parking lot. Lots of outdoor seating as well as tables inside with music ambiance. Staff was friendly, fast, and quick with the food. They had a bogo deal so we got the stand burger ($9.75), regular fries ($3.75), and lemonade ($3.95). The burger was delicious and filling. Fries were fresh but portion was way too small for the price. Blueberry lemonade was refreshing, slightly tangy.

Yelp
Foods okay. Salads are actually better than the burgers funny enough. It's always hot as balls in there, turn the AC on or get it fixed. I actually feel bad for your employees every time I walk inside.

Yelp
Visited this location over the weekend. The food was okay. Nothing amazing. I had the chimichurri steak wrap. It was a big disappointment. There were only about 5 tiny pieces of steak in the wrap. While I can appreciate the fiber of all the greens in it, I needed protein. The crispy quinoa in it added an odd texture. It was kind of like how I imagined my teeth crumbling while eating something but continuing to chew. The chimichurri sauce was good, but it wasn't enough to salvage the wrap.

Yelp
I had the French onion soup burger - great tasting meat and great patty texture- I took off one star because the patty was over cooked - Asked for Medium Rare but received Medium - almost Medium Well I had a very nice Hazy IPA Of course, the super excellent pickle slices Complimentary parking in the garage next door

Yelp
I gotta admit these burgers are pretty juicy! I didn't expect too much from the photo, but oh yeah! Love the balance between juiciness, smokiness and tenderness of the meat with the cognition of sauces! Steak meat are very well cooked with the rare is medium level that we chose!

Yelp
I tried the stand burger and the chimichurri steak salad, both 10/10. The stand burger is no frills, just a good burger. I did add cheese to it though, it does not come with. The steak salad blew me away. I hate salad but this one was refreshing, meaty, and fun. Would 1000% get it again. This is more of a fast casual place where you order at the counter but they do bring it to your seat. Service was great, place was clean, adding to my favorites!

Yelp
Friend introduced me to this burger place and we keep going back with new people! The burgers are amazing, the charred crispy no-quite-burnt-yet of a smash style patty on the outside, juicy and moist on the inside, and pink! Not a lot of burger places willing to risk serving a pink burger these days so this is a nice comfort for me. I like their build your own offering, I've narrowed down my preference to: Pretzel bun Stone ground mustard Grilled onions Red onions Mushroom mix Fried egg Tomato slice The fries and onion rings seem to be made in house, the texture on them doesn't seem the commercial frozen in kind especially the onion rings. However the portions are kind of small in my opinion when the large is near $8 the little tray doesn't seem very much. They're in a fast casual segment, you order the register and bring the number plaque to a table and wait for your order to be brought out and they say you can just get up and leave when you're ready they will bus away your table. Parking is right next to them driveway to underground parking structure, the flat rate is $5 but you can get a validation ticket from the staff at the Stand and its free for 75 minutes so you really don't have to worry about parking costs here. My friends and I have made a habit of coming here for a solid burger and I enjoy sipping on a new mix from the coke freestyle machine. This is now top of our list for burgers!

Yelp
They say hello every time I enter, a detail I enjoy. I love going to The Stand before an evening at the Pasadena Playhouse, it's conveniently located just across the street so one parking spot does it!! Even though it's counter service, this is not fast food and I think my choices have rivaled fancier/expensive restaurants. I like the wraps. Maybe avoid the limp sweet potato fries. Be prepared to share a table, but it's a friendly crowd usually.
google avatar

Mishi V.

Yelp
Solid burgers, pretty good menu options, good customer service and cleanliness. The jalapeño sauce was tasty. Fries were a bit too oily but the burger was filling. They bus tables here quickly before other parties are seated. They validate parking for the rear garage.

Yelp
Pasadena has little restaurants tucked off the beaten path, and while visible, The Stand also blends into its surroundings. My decision to stop in was based on seeing things for the first time (I think) and the need to stave off a hangry drive home. Just a snack, I told myself, so chili fries appealed. The interior is open space, great for large groups or families, plus lots of outside seating. It's also an alley away from Urth Café, which was my primary reason for being nearby. I grabbed a spot, and my order was delivered quickly enough. It was a little smaller than expected, truthfully, but ultimately, it was just right in terms of taking the edge off my appetite. Everything seems to be fresh and good quality, especially the cheese! I ate quickly, but noted a number of menu items I'd like to try in the future.

Yelp
During a weekday excursion in Pasadena, my burger cravings led me straight to The Stand, renowned for its delectable burgers. Parking note: street parking is a challenge, but fear not, there's a convenient parking garage below with validation. Arriving around noon, the place was bustling with hungry lunch crowds. Opting for the Havarti Shroom Burger--featuring Havarti cheese, a double dose of shiitake and cremini mushrooms, charred jalapeno aioli, all nestled between a brioche bun--I requested my patty cooked medium. Pairing it with a side of onion rings served with divine ranch, the meal was nothing short of perfection. With a thick, juicy patty adorned with pickles and jalapenos, each bite was a flavor explosion! The stand definitely smacked the burger craving right out of me and I am already looking forward to my next visit to sample another one of their tantalizing burgers. Don't forget to ask for extra pickles and peppers !

Yelp
We were going to a play at the Pasadena Playhouse and decided to eat across the street at the Stand, which we've done before. The line to order was a bit long as there was only one person taking orders but the wait wasn't too long. This is one of those restaurants where you order and they give you a number to put on the table and someone brings you the food based upon your number. My wife loved her Southwest Chicken Wrap, ate half and took the rest home. Fortunately we had a freezer bad in the car so we didn't have to worry. I had a tuna salad on a pretzel bun and I enjoyed it as well. One can see the Playhouse through the restaurant windows so it's easy to see what people gathered around the playhouse are getting ready to go in. We've eaten here before plays and certainly shall again.

Yelp
Came here for a good burger. Street Parking. Accepts Credit Cards Order at the counter and they give you a number. Self seating. This place does get crowded during lunch. The burger is great with very good meat. Onion Rings are a little on the dry side.

Yelp
Great and fast service here! I was so impressed by the customer service, but found the food to be underwhelming. I ordered the stand burger and my friend ordered the falafel wrap. The wrap has a strong minty flavor, which I would avoid or ask for it to be removed if you don't like that flavor. We made our orders combos and were able to try the French fries and sweet potato fries. The food was yummy, but nothing super memorable. I also thought the price was a tad bit expensive for what I got.

Yelp
Great turkey burgers etc. And Abby always makes our eating experience more joyful with her kimdness. We love her.

Yelp
Introduction: I started coming here under the recommendation of my best friend. Before The Stand, my default burger joint was In-N-Out but after having tasted the burgers that are offered here, The Stand has become my new standard for gourmet burgers. Food: What I like about The Stand is the fact the patrons have the option to customize their burgers. For me my customized burger is as follows: The Tony: -Pretzel bun -Medium-rare beef patty -Bacon -Cheddar cheese -Mushroom blend -Chimichurri sauce I usually get the brioche bun for my burgers because I like texture of the brioche but after awhile I discovered the brioche, due to its soft texture, often becomes soggy after becoming saturated with the juices from the meat patty and other ingredients. As a result, I converted to opting for the pretzel buns when constructing a burger since the pretzel bun is more durable. As one bites into the burger one really tastes the quality of the meat from the beef patty. The bacon, cheddar, and mushroom blend layers on top of one another to deliver heavily-packed savoriness with each bite. The chimichurri sauce allows me to appreciate the flavors of the beef, mushrooms, and bacon all the more and is well worth the extra 50 cents for the sauce. I like the gourmet burgers at The Stand because the ingredients they use are high-quality and after eating, the burgers really hits the spot and sticks to your ribs. Best of all, one can still savor the aftertaste of the beef in the palate long after the consumption of the burger; this mark of quality is hard to come by at burger establishments. Ambiance: Casual, Hipster Service: All the staffs are polite, attentive, and accommodating Price: Reasonable

Yelp
After a hard workout next door, my friend and I decided to grab a quick dinner here and sit outside.  It's been a good 7-8 years since I've visited and glad The Stand is still around.  Located right across the street from the Pasadena playhouse, there's a underground parking and they do validate your parking. My friend got a Chinese chicken salad and I got a beef chimichurri salad.  I love all the kale, quinoa, and mix veggies for the salad. However, for the price, I wish there was a tad more beef. The protein to veggies ratio was really off, it was like just 1/8 of the salad so that was a bit disappointing.  They do have burgers, sandwiches, and wrap on their menu so there are a lot of food choices here.

Yelp
Recently visited The Stand in Pasadena and wanted to comment that Glenn was very helpful and friendly. He greets us with a smile and informs that if we need anything to let him know. Stand has very good food but the service from Glenn makes it worth visiting over and over and over again. Thanks Glenn!

Yelp
If you're familiar with the stand you know they make great burgers and this place is no exception. I always like to try their specialty burgers they rotate and they always seem to nail it. This place also has a nice draft list. Only drawbacks were the coke station had several sodas out (Dr pepper which is my favorite) and they claim you can leave your stuff on the table but they don't always bus it super quickly. The people before us's mess was their the entire time we were there

Yelp
I was attending a play across the street and before the show started I wanted to try out a burger for dinner. I ordered the basic cheeseburger with all the fixings. The burger turned out very good but I should've added some ketchup. This is a very popular burger spot, while I was enjoying my burger there was a constant flow of customers coming in and out with to go orders.

Yelp
Good burgers. Mediocre fries. I've had the fire fries and the stand fries. The fire fries were soggy from being drenched in the sauce. There was a little kick to them, which was that fire element. The stand fries were crispy outside and soft inside, but very thick, and a little salty. Favorite burger has to be the French Onion Soup burger. The Gruyère cheese is so decadent and combined with the onion and dipping sauce, the dynamic flavors really reminded me of the taste of French onion soup. I've also had the Ultimate Egg, but thought this wasn't as great. The egg yolk was too runny that it drenched the paper wrapper by the time my burger came that there was little left to salvage. The bacon was also dry, very much like jerky, which stood out too much that I could barely feel the texture of the patty and the onions. The second time I went they didn't replenish the blueberry lemonade. I'm not sure if they were just out for the day or if they were just taking their time to refill.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try The Stand for sometime now, but just haven't had the chance to do so until recently. I came here with my dear friend. Thank you my friend for your wonderful company always. It was around noon... it wasn't too busy at the time. Good for us. The Seared Ahi Tuna Salad caught my eyes so I got one of them. I also wanted to try their chicken sandwiches... it was either the Southwest Chicken or Chicken Club... I chose the former because it had a little bit more flare based on the ingredients LOL. Yes, you read right... that's two big items for lunch. I go big when I see fit LOL. Life's too short for less when you can have more. Did I eat both items you ask? Well, I ate the salad here, but had to take home the sandwich. That's usually my "M.O." LOL. Gets lots and take some home. Nothing wrong with that in my book! OMG... Seared Ahi Tuna Salad was the B*MB! So so delicious! I wanted another salad right there and then LOL, but I didn't get another one... maybe next time. Huge chunks of tuna... bright and beautiful magenta color. Perfectly seared. Sweet Thai vinaigrette was a nice complement. Just an amazingly good portioned salad! Will get again and again. As for the Southwest Chicken Sandwich, I didn't eat it until I got home so chicken had dried out a bit. I can't ding The Stand for dried chicken since I allowed 8 hours to go by before eating it LOL. I will say this though... everything else about the sandwich was very tasty. Love my bacon... who doesn't love bacon. I've never had corn salsa before, but it worked very well in the sandwich. Guacamole was very good... wished there was more of it. Tortilla chips is different... I normally have it in my salad never in a sandwich, but it worked well, too. Sweet chili aioli was fantastic. All around, it was a great sandwich... however, it's a little small for the price IMHO. My friend got their Kids Turkey Burger with fries plus a cup of ice tea. She enjoyed everything that she got. I'll have to try their fries next time. Staff was nice and pleasant. I asked for recommendations and they kindly offered some. After placing my order, they offered me a small cup of Stand Chips on the house... sweet! Thank you for the treat! They were really good chips. Wait time for the food was decent. Ambiance was comfortable... tons of seating inside and outside. I have to say, The Stand is a great burger, sandwich, and salad joint. They have definitely redefined the American Classics. I will for sure return for more yummy and tasty deliciousness! You can count on it! LOL P.S. Funny, I never knew what "M.O." stands for until now. For those who are curious just as I, it is the Latin term "modus operandi". It describes an "individual or group's habitual way of operating which represents a discernible pattern". Take-out is my "M.O." LOL

Yelp
First, they do have a place to park, inside the structure that they validate. I really enjoyed the burger, potentially one of my favorites at this point. However, the fries were just mediocre. The restaurant is nice and clean, the staff are really friendly and welcoming! I would highly recommend this place, minus the fries. I do think I need to give them another try with a different fries in the near future, and maybe my opinion will change.
google avatar

Aarti G.

Yelp
Love this burger spot right near my apartment. You can completely customize your burger to the way you want and extra toppings are reasonably priced. They have a big menu too. I got a veggie burger with pickled jalapeños. It was so good, would totally get it again. It's so hard to find good veggie burgers and this place has it with the best toppings.

Yelp
From appetizers to desserts, this place knows the way to my heart. Here's everything I enjoyed at this keep-it-simple American food eatery: - ABC Burger - avocado, bacon, and cheddar cheese - Short Rib Grilled Cheese - Parmesan crusted sourdough - Southwest Chicken Wrap - served with a chili aioli - Crispy chicken bites - MUST have with Stand sauces - Cookie Butter Crunch Shake - handmade 100% of the time I was extremely impressed with my meal and time here. The staff was friendly and food made fresh to order. I love a good charbroiled patty and they excel at that. I got my burger protein-style with a side of sweet potato fries; there was so much crisp lettuce that I wasn't missing the bun. Obviously dessert is the best part of any meal and I couldn't put the shake down. It was a problem (in the best way!) . With 16 restaurant locations, you definitely have a chance to check them out. Enjoy!

Yelp
Subpar food for a high price point. Everything here tastes like my high school cafeteria could have made it. Everyone's taste buds are different, I prefer seasonings on my food, but if you prefer to move on to a bland taste, this is the spot for you. I ordered the chicken bites, Mac and cheese, and chili cheese fries. If you're gonna give it a try, I recommend a burger or sandwich. They at least looked good. 4 they honey mustard taste like vinegar with a dash of mustard.

Yelp
I recently wrote a review about our initial visit to The Stand, which was less than satisfactory. In response, the owner reached out and offered to refund our full purchase price from that meal and invited us back for a complimentary second meal. We decided to take them up on their generous offer, and I am thrilled to report that our experience this time was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that significant improvements had been made. The restaurant was clean, the tables were cleared, and the fountain drink machine, which had been leaking on our previous visit, was functioning perfectly. It also contained plenty of ice. But most importantly, the food quality on this visit was outstanding. My girlfriend had the Grand Stand Turkey (roasted turkey breast, peppadew caraway spread, bacon, avocado, red onion, shredded lettuce, fresh dill on grilled organic sourdough) and I had the Big Blue (beef patty, blue cheese, grilled onions, bacon, tomato, arugula, BBQ sauce, on a gourmet brioche bun). We split an order of sweet potato fries and each had a fountain drink. Our total was $40.12 with tax, which was covered by the $40 gift card provided by The Stand. Each dish was prepared with care, and every bite was delicious. It was a complete turnaround from our last visit and exceeded our expectations in every way. I commend the owner and staff for their dedication to customer satisfaction and for making the necessary changes to enhance the dining experience. Adrian, the manager on duty, was kind, welcoming, and attentive and ensured we were satisfied and well taken care of. For us, The Stand has truly redeemed itself, and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you for the exceptional service and for going above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed an outstanding and memorable dining experience.

Yelp
This lived up to the hype of an excellent burger. I had the havarti shroom - medium rare to perfection. Absolutely splendid. The hot cocoa shake almost stole the spotlight. Really one of the best shakes he had. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Stopped in after watching g a play across the street. Casual and clean inside with many menu choices. I split a huge Cobb salad. Salad was filled with ingredients. I refilled my blueberry lemonade twice!Everything tasted fresh and was in abundance. My friends enjoyed the burger & fries and the other her salad. Food was delivered to our table quickly and they bus the tables. I shall return.

Yelp
The Stand did not disappoint! Met a friend for lunch and we ordered the southwest chicken wrap and the buffalo chicken sandwich with a strawberry shake. I love that they have options of beer and shakes. Cool spot if you are looking for a good burger joint. The service was amazing, and Mayra checked up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance is casual and there are long tables for bigger parties. Definitely a good spot if you are craving a burger or wrap!

Yelp
Yesterday, my wife had an appointment at her salon in Pasadena. I wanted to find a place close by to eat before her appointment. I saw on Google Map The Stand which was a block south of her salon. We got there 50 minutes before her appointment. She ordered the Stand burger plain with pepper jack cheese on a pretzel bun. I ordered their special Veggie Bliss burger. We shared an order of onion rings. Our food came out in 15 minutes. She loved her burger on the pretzel bun. My Veggie Bliss burger was the best veggie burger I ever had. Made with brown rice, black beans, carrots, quinoa, corn and pea protein, the burger held up well when I bit into it. It did not spill outside the bun like most other veggie burgers I had. Combined with the pepper jack cheese, guacamole, pickled red onions, crispy onions strings, chili aioli sauce on a wheat bun, made this an epic veggie burger that I hoped becomes a permanent item on the menu. The onion rings were great too. DJ's rating: 4.79/5.00 Would I come back? Definitely Yes. They have an Ahi tuna sandwich I like to try.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect lunch spot. The food was awesome, buffalo chicken sandwich came right off the grill and tasted fresh as can be. Fire fries were a nice peppery spice without too much heat, and the ranch on the side kicked up the flavor a notch. Finally had to end with the cookie butter crunch shake, which had crushed up biscoff cookie on top and throughout the shake. So good. This place is a gem. Great prices, great service, and very extensive menu of many things to try. My coworkers got a burger and the short rib grilled cheese and both looked amazing. Love this spot!

Yelp
Nice Cafe to have a Pre theater meal or bite before going to the Pasadena Playhouse ( which is across the street! YAY) Good amount of seating inside & outside. Order at counter & take # system, food brought to you. Staff are friendly & helpful. We just split red ginger beans & Sweet potato fries. BOTH WERE very good, but the green beans were THE BEST! Also Enjoyed rhe Blueberry Lemonade & and cucumber & mint lemonade. Will definitely come back, because the Salads looked great!
google avatar

Cynthia N.

Yelp
Ordered the French onion burger w/ sweet potato fries. The burger was delicious. The fries were a little soggy. Their ranch is soooo good! She said the sweet aioli was the most popular but we didn't care too much for it. There were plenty of seats inside and outside to enjoy. I'd definitely come back! (Plus their rewards points don't expire - well, that's what the cashier told me!) :)

Emerald T.

Yelp
I lovedddd their veggie burger, it was so good. I don't like impossible or beyond meat so it was nice to go and get a patty made of actual veggies. I wish there was more locations, the nearest one to me is 45 mins, however it is worth the drive. The staff was friendly and patient with explaining the menu as well

Yelp
Love this place. Not high end but if you're craving a serious burger and a good selection of craft beers this is the spot. The chicken wrap was pretty good as well. I'll be back

Yelp
I've been here once almost ten years ago and I remember the Stand burger being really good, but thinking it was on the pricier side. Well, now I'm back, and the quality is still very much up there, for very very reasonable prices. Either my memory is not as good as I think it is (more likely), or somehow it seems like inflation doesn't affect this place! This time around I had the french onion soup burger and there was so much flavor. I've always like the beef based broth of a french onion soup, but because there's an actual beef patty, the flavor is intensified. Also, it cant have onion in the name without onions, and sure there are the grilled onions which absorb a lot of the beef flavor, but I absolutely loved the crispy onion strings which provide concentrated onion flavor, and the contrasting crunchiness to the soft burger is great. Gruyere cheese goes well too. Finally there is some au jus on the side to dip your burger in, but to be honest I think the burger is better without it; the burger is soft and juicy enough as it is without making it all soggy. Tastes just like good onion soup though. The environment is very casual, you order at the front and it'll be served at wherever you sit. Hands down one of the best burger places in Pasadena!

Yelp
I recently ate at The Stand. First things first, parking is only available on the street, but you can park at some of the garages nearby. Not sure if it's free at the garage. The parking can be rather challenging. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the French Onion burger. Another standout for me is their shakes - the Cookies and Cream shake is a delightful, and the Biscoff/Cookie shake is also amazing. The Fire Fries also deserve a mention - they're great and add a nice kick to the meal. However, I must note that the quality at The Stand can be quite inconsistent. There are times when the food is absolutely amazing, making the meal an unforgettable experience. But then, there are other times when it's just okay, which can be a bit of a letdown, especially when you're expecting the same high quality every visit. Despite this, I plan to return to The Stand and am hopeful that the quality will become more consistent over time. When they get it right, it's a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Yelp
Had lunch here twice in the last month Had a house burger with grilled onions on a pretzel bun my first visit Pretty good except I ordered it med rare but it arrived near very well Still pretty tasty for the price On my next visit I tried the pesto chicken sandwich also on pretzel bun Very disappointing Chicken was overcooked and under seasoned and had little pesto The fries were solid both visits The front staff were helpful and friendly We sat outside. Pleasant. I'll likely return I want to try their ahi sandwich

Yelp
What a great place for good comfort food in Downtown Pasadena! The Stand has both indoor and outdoor seating that will accommodate large groups. Lots of food to choose from. The Short Rib Grilled Cheese was so flavorful and delicious, a definite favorite. Also, the Cookie Butter Crunch Shake was perfectly balanced with the sweetness. Counter persons were very helpful and friendly, consistently checking to see how long much longer for my online order to be ready. Definitely going back!!!

Yelp
Food: decent, good Portions: Normal Price: fair Service: Good, not too busy when I came Atmosphere: simple comfortable tables and outside seatings I was looking for pastrami and Google showed up with this place. They do not serve pastrami here. So I just had the Standard burgers and sweet potato fries. Just a regular burger for me. Not sure I can say it better than others. Decent. The sweet potato fries is waffle still. I live waffle style. The frys are good and fried just right. Maybe other sandwiches are better.

Yelp
After my first visit here, I already know I'll be back again! I ordered the seared Ahi tuna salad and was pleasantly surprised by its large size and delicious flavor. Although my initial order was incorrect (they brought me an Ahi sandwich instead), they quickly and easily corrected it to my original salad order. The salad came with fresh veggies, avocado, and a great Asian sauce. Our family also ordered the steak salad, Chinese chicken salad, and chicken southwest sandwich (not pictured). While the Chinese chicken salad was good, the steak salad was even better. And the chicken southwest sandwich was simply amazing! It was loaded with guac, cheese, and a chipotle corn mix that made my mouth water. The self-service soda machine in the back is pretty cool, and I especially loved the small crushed ice it dispenses. Their blueberry lemonade is also quite good. We enjoyed our meal so much that we ordered two salads to-go for other family members as we left, and they seemed to like them too. The Stand also has an underground parking lot about 30 feet past their restaurant, and they validate parking. I just wish this place was closer to me, but I'll definitely make the trip back soon!

Yelp
My son came here and loved it so much he brought our whole family to try it out. The French soup burger is so good! The other items we tried were also great. The sweet potato fries are literally perfect. We are excited to come back and try more burgers and stuff!

Yelp
We really liked the new chicken burger, just like grilled meat or even barbecue. And the burger, which is with a dark bun, has a very rich taste.
