Food was delicious. The price felt a bit high for a breakfast sandwich but it was packed with flavor and freshness. I am willing to return to try other options from their menu on less frequent occasions. The service was also excellent. Camille was serving me and she was wonderful. I visited The Standard Café for breakfast, and it happened to be my birthday—which made the whole experience extra special. From start to finish, everything was wonderful. The ambience is warm and inviting, and the service was excellent—attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely friendly. When our food took a little longer, they gave us a shot to make up for it, which was such a fun and unexpected gesture. Even more surprising, the staff came out to sing happy birthday without anyone asking—it truly made me feel celebrated. The food was worth the wait, the mimosas were delicious and affordable, and the entire experience felt above and beyond. Even though I don’t live in the area, I’d happily come back again

Breakfast bagel was ELITE! Breakfast wrap was AMAZING! Potatoes on the side were full of flavor & soft. Hot tea was a vibe. Customer service from the friendly girl was on point! Small, quaint, cute little cafe on Mon & Tues! Definitely going back next time in town! GO HERE & support local, you’ll love it!

So appreciative of Angel for always bringing something new and exciting to the community. This place is truly welcoming! It’s a great sports bar with an awesome menu—delicious pizzas, breakfast and brunch items, plus a live DJ. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is just right. A perfect spot to eat, hang out, and enjoy good vibes.

Great location. Had a vibe there! The food was so tasty and the passion fruit sangria. Amazing! My server Bruno was amazing as well. Loved it!

What a wonderful place to eat! Camille was our waitress/host. She has such a sweet spirit! The entire team were super friendly and it made the atmosphere so warm! Food was unique and delicious!!! There were 14 of us so the fact that they were able to accommodate us and take such great care of us was amazing!

Went today for the first time I loved it. Despite being busy, I got my order in less that 20 minutes. I ordered the French toast with Nutella cream and it was absolutely delicious. So sweet and fluffy. The coffee was so good and rich. Camille was my server today and she was nothing short of the best. Greeted me warmly and gave me great service. Will definitely be back, thank you so much!

I stopped by this quaint / cute cafe to pick up breakfast on the whim while running errands in the area. I placed my order via phone and it was ready when I arrived. The service is friendly via phone AND in person. Last but NOT least, my breakfast platter was fresh, delicious and well presented. I got the standard egg platter and substituted egg whites for regular eggs. It definitely fueled my morning and gratified my taste buds. Thanks SC!

I like this place. The cafe side is nice and welcoming but then you get to the restaurant part and it's as if you're in a new world. It's very trendy. The food is great and inexpensive. The service was really good too, this restaurant makes sure you are satisfied with your experience.

So I've been to Casa d Paco few times. It's been a minute since our last visited. Instagram had advertised a new spot "Newark Standard" the same owner from casa d' Paco. Wow my congratulations to Angel and his parents. These two gems are family owned. We decided to sit by the bar. The walls were decorated with famous artist from back in the days. Nice ambiance, good music, it's inviting and cozy. We had tapas, chicken wings and tasty pizza. Our cocktail was fresh 75 and Negroni. Really good. Thanks Angel for acknowledging us after so many years. Great service. Will definitely return. Congratulations

Cute, pretty "standard" cafe fare! The potatoes were a little bland but I feel like that's most diner places. I didn't get a bagel but my partner said his was really good! Definitely a nice walkable breakfast spot if you're at an Airbnb in Newark, I would go again if I was in the same neighborhood.

Nice place. I stopped for breakfast and a latte. Food was very good. Good sized portion. Decent price for the area and I enjoyed the service. Would highly recommend.

My stereotype of Newark NJ as a place to avoid at all costs has been shattered, at least the North Ironwood neighborhood. Arriving after a late flight we stayed adjacent to Newark Penn Station and walked both at night (short walk) and in the morning (longer more meandering walk). Both walks very pleasant. On the morning walk we 'discovered' the Standard Cafe and made made the very good decision to have breakfast. The Puebla omelet was outstanding, nice mix of flavors. The strawberry blueberry French toast was good, but to our tastes needed more cinnamon added during cooking...something we hope to remember to ask for. Coffee was decent, service was welcoming and efficient, definitely would return.

My new favorite spot in Newark for brunch. Amazing specialty drinks and great food & omg the coffee. Everything from the service to the ambiance & outdoor patio is perfect!

I judge a restaurant by how its food compares to something I could easily make at home. Sadly, the dishes here didn't even reach that standard. Given the quality, the highest I can honestly give is a single star.

Stopped in otw to Airport. Taylor ham egg and cheese was just how I remembered them. Hash browns were delish just like my mom used to make. My granddaughters had açaí bowls and ingredients looked so fresh. Staff super nice and prompt with 8 of us. Definitely swing by if you're in the area.

I've been here twice already and I have enjoyed the food every time. They serve well, especially their omelets. We ordered the carnivore omelet and the caprese toast. The omelet was loaded with protein. The caprese toast was really filling as well the avocado mash in the toast had basil pieces in it which was such a nice touch, perfect cooked eggs and the potatoes are so good. Really enjoyed this breakfast and would definitely recommend eating here.

10/10 experience. They have a huge menu with so many food options: pizzas, sandwiches, omelettes, açaí bowls. Drink menu is great with coffee and smoothie options. Loved it here, can't wait to come back and try more items.

Food was so good but was a little dissapointed with service. Placed the order for my family and took a seat, waiting for takeout. Street traffic came in, sat down, ordered and were served full meals before my familys 3 bagels were ready. It was good but our order was disregarded and took a long time.

This food wasn't great. I ordered delivery and my soppressata tasted off and the caeser dressing tasted like mayo. The service was fast but I won't be eating here again

When to the standard cafe this morning around 10ish and had breakfast. The prices was beyond reasonable. I had their 2 meat two, eggs, home fries and standard size coffee and it was less than 12 dollars. This inside was immaculate and bright. The pastries and empanadas on display were made fresh. The service from the young people working there was outstanding. I was actually surprised more people were not there. The only negative I have was the coffee wasn't as hot as I'd of liked it to be.

We went on Saturday night around eight. We had a table right away, the waiter took our drink order. I had to remind her three times that I wanted lemon. We ordered chicken wings, They were dry Then we order the ironbound berger really good and juicy. The bread was too cold the fries were too greasy and 10 fries on the plate not much. Overall, it was ok not to come back again..

Boyfriend and I love bacon egg and cheeses. 10/10 best we've ever had. Our new favorite spot! Beautiful place, great friendly quick service. Cute cozy inside and outside seating. Coffee was also very smooth. Worth the price! Can't wait to go again.
