The Stanford Steakhouse

We went for dinner once and we're not impressed; however, their Sunday brunch is a much better experience. We met a group of friends for brunch after church and had a lovely meal. The table ordered fried shrimp, fried chicken, an omelet with grits, blueberry pancakes with bacon, and the Stanford combo breakfast and we all enjoyed our meals. The service could use improvement, but was much better than at dinnertime.

the restaurant was empty, yet my food took forever. My fries were cold upon arrival and so was my burger patty. I told the waitress about my fries & she said she would bring out more. She never brought out more & said it was because she figured I didn’t want them anymore because it had already taken so long. She told me that she would take off half of the price of my meal which was $15. I still ended up paying $17 for some reason.

Absolutely loved dining here! Such great servers, really enjoyed the steak, it was cooked to perfection. Live music on the patio was enjoyable!

Went here for a baby shower food was ok but needed more help with service for the party, otherwise cool vibes here.

BEAUTIFUL restaurant, but food is just ok. The bar was filled with yelling kids. Not sure why they allow toddlers to run around in the bar area, but it killed the vibe for sure. The spinach artichoke dip was the driest, unfavorable dip I’ve ever had. I should have known that if a place is nearly empty at dinner time, something isn’t right. Won’t be back.

I took my husband on Sat June 14th for an early Father's Day meal. The Stanford Steakhouse is a gem, it is beautiful. Our waitress Hailey W from Greene Co was very attentive. I noticed about 10 employees sitting outside when they were on the clock but not our waitress nor the hostess.The bartender disappeared also. The two young gentlemen poured ice in the machine and one rubbed it around with his hands. There was no manager when I asked except for the kitchen. In my opinion hire a manager and less employees. The food was ok, the young man needs to learn how to cook a juicy steak though. Managers are to teach and you learn from them. My husband was upset also, he said he would come manage for free so the owner doesn't lose more business. Hire people who want to work not sit around doing nothing while you pay them to work.

We were seated and waited over 15 minutes with no service. No one ever spoke to us other than the hostess that seated us. We were seated by the kitchen door and many people walked past us, no one ever stopping at our table. I stopped a waitress walking past us and told her no one had been to our table yet, or taken our drink order. She said “oh I’ll check on that for you” and never came back and still no one came to our table. A family that was seated after us had already been waited on and drinks brought to their table. We gave it a few more minutes and still no one came to our table. While we were walking out we were told by the hostess, im sorry someone was coming. We left with her still being the only one to speak to us, she was very friendly at our arrival and while seating us, and she apologized as we were leaving. That’s the only good thing that came from this experience!!

The food here is very delicious and we will most definitely become regular customers. I ordered our food curbside and the service was very fast too. The young lady that took my order was amazing and very friendly. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. If I could give this place 10 stars I would because it's highly recommended. We ordered the fried crab claws, the chicken dinner, BBQ burger meal, loaded potatoes, fried okra, caesar salad, house salad, steak, and asparagus.

The service was good. Food was good and the setup and style of the restaurant was beautiful. It was not crowded at all and my friend loved it... I wish the small town of waynesboro would support their local businesses as they always say... this place could be more booming if it were properly managed. Not saying it's not but if this place was in a better location.., it would take off.. the locals need to support... this is the closet you will get for fine dining ‍!

Surprisingly not bad for a steakhouse in Waynesboro, MS. We had lived here for a few years previously and was surprised to see a nice restaurant like this open in town. The inside was very nice and staff was friendly. We had to wait a bit in the beginning because no one was in the front. We were seated eventually. The steaks we ordered were huge and fairly priced. We got the 16oz Stanford Ribeye which was $32 and comes with a salad and side of your choice. We got baked potato and asparagus. The house salad was small and simple which I loved. I hate it when restaurants serve a huge side salad. The asparagus were cooked good and seasoned well, and the baked potato was pretty good as well. Both of the steaks were very under-seasoned. We seasoned a lot with table salt and pepper but it was still a little bland. The meat was thick, so that's why it was lacking in seasoning. The au jus was okay and a little bland as well. Besides the flavor, the steaks were cooked perfectly and the fat pieces were nice and buttery with the meat.

Didn't like the slow service. Has a good reputation but I am reluctant to return. The food was acceptable but for the price it should have been exceptional.

As a professional photographer, I have the opportunity to travel and eat at a multitude of place. Therefore, I would consider myself somewhat of a good judge of food, ambiance and service. This place has it all!!! i ordered the Cowboy steak and it was cooked to perfection! My wife had the Maverick Shrimp and Grits - absolutely to die for! The servers were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, plus the way that they interacted with other guests lets me know that even the "regulars" get the same great service on each and every visit. The place was clean - and anybody who knows me will tell you that a dirty place is a complete turn off for me. But even the bathrooms were spotless! No finger prints on the windows... no dirty air vents... no dust hanging off the ceiling fans... no water stains on the ceilings! so if you are looking for a place with great food, great service and great ambiance! bring yourself down to The Stanton Steakhouse in Waynesboro, Ms! You won't regret it!

Went to brunch today. They need to put more effort into their menu and the quality of their food if they expect to make it on Sundays. Asked for cheese on burgers and was left off, we never got the ketchup we asked for and it took forever to get drinks. Was very let down

We ate here for my birthday. It was my first time here. Service was friendly and the steak was tender. I highly recommend.

From the time we walked into the door, until we left, AMAZING! The hostess were so nice and welcoming, our server was A ROCK STAR, and our food was incredible as well. Definitely praying that God blesses this business!

We have had 2 amazing experiences here. The steak was cooked perfect. It's good to see a local business successful. I'd much rather spend my money local than with a chain restaurant

#1 -Had a reservation for 5 on Mothers Day for 1:00 PM. Arrived at the slotted time. Had to wait 20 minutes for a table. The manager said they had had late arrivals and walk-ins. I'm sorry, but I have been in the industry for years and you don't give away tables to walk-ins. If the reservation is 15 minutes late, then you can give that table away. #2 - All but 1 of us ordered the same thing, Grilled Shrimp with Asparagus, the other Shrimp Fettuccini. Us Grilled Shrimpers received 3 Fried Shrimp with the Asparagus, the other Fried Shrimp with Mashed Potatoes. Also waited 1 1/2 hours for our meals. #3 - The service was bad. Could not get refills on our drinks. #4 - The staff?? Baseball caps on backwards.....I mean, baseball caps on at all in the fancy of a place?

My brother and sister in love renewed their wedding vows on the patio last weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL!! But, besides that, the food was fantastic. We all ordered different things. I personally had the mahi mahi and it was really good, however my daughters ribeye was even better. Ha! Oh and I think the cesar salad was the best I've ever had. If I had one recommendation, not complaint, but recommendation, it would be that they didn't serve any kind of bread. But it was all great food!! We will definitely be back!!

Everything from the outside patio to the excellent food to the service was great! We were close by on Hwy. 45 from Mobile and gave it a try. Boy, what a wonderful surprise!

We called to verify restaurant would be open on a Sunday. We drove nearly 60 miles to eat there for her birthday after church to find a note on the door. Another lady pulled up and said they had done the same thing the prior weekend.

Best place ever. Food was amazing and came out fast. Under the circumstances they were busy it was actually great service.

I have tried the food 3 different times here and I was not impressed. For the price point I expected something more. The last time dining in the service was also a bit slow. I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.
