Best Solo Dining in Charlotte, North Carolina | Eater Carolinas

"Paul Verica’s cozy field-to-table spot has always been a great spot for sitting at the comfortable bar and getting beautifully made cocktails. The menu is always changing, based on local/seasonal ingredients and Verica’s imagination, but expect an indulgent small-plates selection and tidbits, which are starters that usually include imaginative touches of foie gras or single vegetables made several ways." - Kathleen Purvis

Cornerstone owns every building on this block. The buildings are dog friendly but they don’t provide a single trash can. There is dog poop everywhere.

I would suggest a full tour. The back alley is really hard to deal with. Homeless, drug use. Moved into a dirty apartment. Nonstop loud neighbors. Be sure to document everything. The building was broken into 3 times in one week and management did not alert the tenants for their own safety. Found out about via Nextdoor.. Homeless doing drugs and sleeping in the stairwells and hallways. The security cameras do not work. Revised 08/28/24 Moved out 8/09/24 had documented at move in inspection the dirty blinds cabinets, floors and peeling paint. Took pictures and submitted along with my move in inspection. At move out had professional cleaner some in and walk through the move out inspection. I am being charged $230 for leaving the unit in better condition than I moved into it. Janko said he does not believe my move in inspection? Um, it's hard to dispute a move in check list and picture submitted 2 days after move in. The most unprofessional portfolio manager for Cornerstone by far.

Whilst I am still living here I thought it would be best to write a review before too much time has past. There has been several packages stolen from the mailroom. Many tenants have filed complaints with cornerstone management company, but to our surprise, no response. I was also told that someone, who doesn't live in our complex, has been living on the 5th floor and roaming about, possibly stealing our packages. While there are cameras in the mailroom, management still refuses to check them or to even reach out to those involved in these situations. This is typical cornerstone, they're friendly and kind when they are giving you are tour but as soon as something goes awry, radio silence. I would advise that you sign a lease at an apartment complex that actually cares about the safety of their tenants.

AVOID RENTING FROM CORNERSTONE! This company is greedy and does not care about their residents. I lived in the Stanley apartments and my experience was awful. The storage units in my building were broken into monthly and the building manager did not care. They never fixed the cameras that had been cut after the first break in. My car was stolen from the parking lot. I reached out multiple times to the building manager, Andrew, inquiring about how they would prevent future break ins, when the cameras would be fixed, and if there was any chance, I could get a copy of the footage from the wireless cameras set in-front of the building to help the police with locating my stolen possessions. Andrew's response to me was, "We haven't had time to fix the cameras. I have one building that the basement is flooding and one building where the fence is one fire. I have more pressing matters to take care of right now". (This was at-least 2 months after the initial break ins).
