Went here for the food and got a lot more! I came by on a Sunday afternoon, expecting to read and drink a Bloody Mary or two in a sleepy atmosphere, but the place was pretty busy and I was quickly engrossed in conversations with much of the staff and locals. Everyone there were extremely friendly and several people mentioned that this was their "Cheers bar." I ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower (they have several vegan options on their menu, which is refreshing from the rest of the also delicious looking but rather heavy gastropub fare) and it was easily the tastiest Buffalo Cauliflower I've ever had (I've sampled a few). Immediately after the food arrived, several locals said things along the lines of, "oh, those are really good," and, "everything on the menu is just amazing." I believe it, since the chef herself came out several times to check for food allergies, ask how I like the food, let me know of menu changes (the cauliflower wings were being replaced by cauliflower tacos, for a lighter vegan option), etc. I can tell that she really cares about her craft and am interested in trying some of the non-vegan fare.
The food was excellent, and I feel like you get a large portion for the price. All of the drinks I had were very good and also moderately priced. The staff and locals were really friendly and I didn't feel uncomfortable as a young woman alone in a bar. Only warning: it was a little hard to find the place (it is directly east of the Ramada Inn with obscure signage, and there is a different bar on the other side that locals/staff also say is nice), and it looks really divey when you first walk in, but as the other reviews read: don't let that fool you.
