17 Don’t-Miss Drive-Ins and Drive-Thrus in Northern California | Eater SF

"The freshest addition from the Gott’s group opened just last year with big vintage style. The Station is a refurbished gas station, washed white with green trim, and she’s a beaut. Plus, the snacks are wine country quality — third-wave cold brew, fluffy focaccia sandwiches, and, oh yeah, they’ve got good pie." - Becky Duffett

The Bar itself is gorgeous. Super nice inside. Our waitress was terrible! Took forever to get Beers and Two drinks brought to us after ordering. We're talking like almost 30 mins from the time we asked. So to be honest, it was probably the Bar Tender. Our food came out super quickly, but we had to ask for Condiments, and sides three different times until we finally walked up to the bar ourselves and asked for the missing items. Also Trivia people were way too loud. And the people actually playing Trivia, were on the complete opposite side of the bar. So perhaps it would be a good idea to keep it all in the same area, so for those there for dinner and drinks didn't have to try and tell over the microphone to hear each other.

**Hidden Gem with Great Food & Atmosphere** This trendy local bar offers the perfect combination of relaxed atmosphere and quality food. Tucked away in a new retail location on the Riverton-Herriman border, it features a chill vibe with friendly staff, nearly-free pool tables, an inviting outdoor patio, and comfortable seating that works for any occasion. The food exceeded our expectations. My husband, who follows a gluten-free diet, was thrilled with their delicious GF buns and absolutely loved the Blackened BLT. The fries were perfectly salted and hit the spot. I ordered the blue cheese chicken bowl with buffalo sauce – it was excellent and definitely something I'll order again. Their drink menu is impressive, featuring a full bar and an extensive book of house cocktails. We tried the Spicy Margarita, Station Old Fashioned, and Wanderer – all were well-crafted and delicious. It's exciting to have such a beautiful local establishment so close to home. The combination of great food, drinks, and atmosphere makes this a winner. We'll definitely be regulars!

This bar is tastefully decorated and looks like it should be uptown. Very clean. Outdoor seating available .. weather permitting. Service was subpar. However I was sitting outside .. and I believe there was only one server at the time I was there. Food made fresh and served hot. Fries were crispy on the outside .. hot and tender on the inside. The Station BLT was not one of the better sandwiches I’ve had. The bread was nicely toasted however the lettuce and tomato were not fresh and there were only a few slices of bacon. Definitely not impressed.

My husband and I have been to The Station Bar several times, and every visit leaves us completely satisfied. The staff is always warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful—especially when it comes to navigating the menu with our gluten-free needs. We’ve also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and it’s truly refreshing to meet someone who genuinely cares about guests’ experiences and actively seeks feedback. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is amazing. We highly recommend The Station Bar for anyone looking for great food, great service, and a place that truly values its customers.

Google
My wife got the blackened chicken BLT with upgraded sweet potato fries. I got the Swiss Bacon BBQ Burger. The BLT aoli and seasoning was amazing perfect flavor combo! They have one of the top 5 sweet potato fries in Utah IMO! The Swiss Bacon BBQ Burger was soooooo good and messy. The BBQ sauce was tangy n sweet with the seasoning on the bacon and Swiss cheese its my go to! Once you start it though, you can't put it down, it's so messy to eat ( ask for extra napkins ) BUT SOOOOOO WORTH the mess. Delicious 🤤

Had an amazing experience here! From the moment we walked in, the vibe of the place was just perfect modern, cozy, and welcoming. Jen took incredible care of us, making sure we felt right at home and answering all our questions with genuine warmth. What really set this place apart was the way Chef Jorge went above and beyond. I had a special request, and he didn’t just accommodate it. He created the most delicious custom pasta dishes that were bursting with flavor. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and every bite felt like it was made just for us. You can really taste the attention and skill in every dish. Honestly, it’s rare to find a place where the service and the food are both top notch, but Jen and Chef Jorge made it happen. Highly recommend if you want great food, great people, and a genuinely memorable meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Great location, terrific design and layout, great staff, and the best food menu in any bar Ive been in. Honestly, the food here is amazing. Ive had 4 different items so far and nothing has been short of delicious. Everything has been so fresh and from what I understand is made in house, unlike most bars. The service is friendly and welcoming. Always a great time. I do wish they had nightly live music. I wish that on every bar though.

We went Friday night, took 20 minutes to even be recognized by a member of the staff after we sat down. Once we finally got drinks ordered from one person our waitress finally brought them over and brought menus, finally ordered and took over 30 minutes for food to be served. The steak nachos were excellent and tasty and well worth the price. Our issue was with the amount of time it took the kitchen to get the food out. Our waitress was attentive but she had a party of at least 20 people and seemed to be completely overwhelmed, not her fault but she should have had help. Not sure we’ll be back, better atmosphere at the Break in South Jordan.

Yelp
This spot is gooood! I'm a big burger fan. While every restaurant can "sell" a burger these days, very few can make a properly good burger. I went for the Bulleit Burbon Burger. Creative to say the least. Delicious and different. Jam and cream cheese on a burger... who knew. Fries were crispy. Food was hot. Just hit the spot. Nice decor. Will happily come back again

Yelp
Have been multiple times. It's more of a meet-your-friends-for-a-meal type of bar than a community bar. In the past year food seems to be leaning more upscale and higher priced than when they started. Service is exceptionally slow. Very polite but super slow -- to the point of being a bit frustrating. My most recent trip included a Swiss bacon burger - $19. It took 25-30 min to come out. And, surprisingly, wasn't hot when it did. But that was one delicious burger, even lukewarm. While I waited service wasn't attentive about my drinks, etc. If they can get their customer focused service in line with their atmosphere and prices they have a gem on their hands. They have everything else covered. If they can't then I'll probably come every few months, expectations set, and enjoy a cold burger that is still one of the top burgers around.

Yelp
The Station Bar is a new addition to Herriman, and one that is sorely needed. Folks want a place to hangout that isn't so far away from home. They offer a decent variety of drinks and food items, plus it looks like they are going to do some fun activities to draw a crowd like trivia nights or karaoke. They are still getting their feet under them, but it looks promising. I enjoyed sitting out on the patio on a Friday evening chatting with my dining partner. We opted to be outside since it was a little loud indoors, but it certainly isn't unreasonable. Then we ended up inside anyway when some friends invited us to play pool. I can see this place gaining traction and being a welcome gathering space in the corner of the community. Welcome!

Yelp
First impression is a good one! Came here on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. There was only one woman running the front of the house from hostess to bartender to waitress. She was busy and it felt like service was a bit slow because of that but I still give her kudos. Food was great! Fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside with some mild seasoning and flaky salt (nice touch). The burgers are massive. Huge thick patties. We both devoured our food. I would critique that the patty was way too juicy and created a pond of drippings on my plate that seeped into my fries. Perhaps it needed to rest? Not sure. And sweet pickles on a burger is a crime IMO lol but I just picked them off. Overall; well done. Well decorated and a good playlist playing in the background.

Yelp
This was my second visit. This visit was on karaoke Wednesday. The bar area is fun with a classy appeal. Food was good... I ordered the fish tacos and fries. There weren't too many singers and the crowd was light...maybe some advertisement to create excitement?

Yelp
2nd visit as good as the first. Friendly staff. Comfy environment. Reasonable prices.

Yelp
We were so excited to check out The Station Bar--the newest spot in town had been calling our name. But sadly... it was kind of a whole lotta meh. We came in on a Saturday around 1 p.m., and the place was nearly empty--only two other tables were seated. The vibe was modern and clean, and our server was kind and attentive (shoutout to her!), but the food? Severely underwhelming. The brunch-only menu until 3 p.m. is super limited, and while I appreciated that they offered mocktails (non-drinker here!), the real MVP was their lemonade mixer. Honestly, that was the highlight. As for the food--we tried the breakfast burrito, which was... fine. The salsa inside tasted like straight-up tomato paste, and it kind of overpowered everything else. They did add hashbrowns for me though, which was a nice touch! The chicken strips were forgettable--just your average frozen-style tenders--and the sauces didn't add anything special. The eggs Benedict was probably the best of the bunch. We tried to order it with Canadian bacon like the menu said, but our server let us know (kindly!) that they've never actually had Canadian bacon. So we went with ham, which was decent! Overall, for sit-down pricing, it didn't feel worth the splurge. We really wanted to love it, and maybe the drink scene is what they do best--but for us, it just missed the mark. Wishing them well, though, and hoping they find their groove!

Yelp
Four of us went in for Sunday Brunch (our first visit here) and it was so great! A nice upper scale bar atmosphere. It was not too loud so we could carry on conversation which is different from a lot of places of the same type. We were greeted and served right away. The food was really great! Very pleasantly surprised after seeing a couple of the other reviews. We will definitely be back and so glad to have The Station in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Tried this new spot out in Herriman. 21 and older bar. The bar is really stylish, can't wait to go back and try some cocktails. Food was good, burger was super creative and cooked to order. Service was decent, beer menu could be better. Cocktail menu looked good.

Yelp
The food is fresh and delicious. We enjoyed the penne pasta and the chicken BLT. Sara was so great tending bar and taking care of us! Trivia was going on tonight and it was really fun!

Yelp
We love The Station Bar! The staff is always friendly and helpful--especially with gluten-free options. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the owner truly cares about guests. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food was great and served In speedy fashion - my husband got the French toast and the serving was generous, bacon was done well. I got the station BLT and it was DELICOUS. The drinks were very good as well, and if you don't drink, the Arnold Palmers are tasty!! The service was very attentive, the energy was a little mild though. It could have just been brunch service. The music was awesome! There was a trio playing and they were the cherry on top of the entire experience. Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
This place is awesome! Great food, like not just bar food, really good bar food (get the onion rings) and a huge cocktail menu! Get the orange crush. Cool and fun Ambiance too.

Yelp
Great food, even better Service, super great peeps, we highly recommend this Bar and Restaurant. Monday's are the best time to visit. My new go to for takeout on game day!

Nicole C.

Yelp
Sara was wonderful! We came here for trivia that our friend hosts. Chorizo tacos were delicious.

Yelp
Had a great time tonight at dinner at The Station Bar in Herriman. Fish and chips were spot on, fresh coleslaw and high end drinks. Bret the owner checked in on us as well. Highly recommend checking this place out. Great place and a great atmosphere! Shout out to Boe for great service as well!

Shane H.

Yelp
Hard floors and walls make for a very echoing environment. No background music. Service was slow. Took a while for waitress to notice us, and food took a long time as well. Food did not taste like it was freshly made. We had the fish n chips and the teriyaki chicken sandwich. Tasted like pre-made food service food that was just heated up. Also overpriced. Highly unlikely that we will be back.

Radical S.

Yelp
Food was good, we had the bacon Swiss burger, and blt. Service was great. Will go again soon!

Yelp
The attempt to bring a cool new bar to Herriman is there. But the food and drinks are lacking. They could use the expertise of experts in mixology and menu.

Ryder G.

Yelp
Love this place amazing food and drinks!! Loved my server Mclaine. Amazing vibe and culture just what Herriman needs! I'd give it 10 if i could definitely recommend.
