Living at The Statler Residences has been an incredible experience! The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive to residents’ needs. The amenities are top-tier from the beautiful pool and gym to the stunning downtown views that make coming home feel like a luxury hotel stay every day. The location couldn’t be more convenient, with great restaurants and nightlife right at your doorstep. Truly ONE of the BEST places to live in Dallas. I absolutely love it here!

I’ve lived at The Statler for 6 months and I LOVE IT! Definitely going to be living her again after my lease ends. The apartment complex is clean, quick, very accommodating and has AMAZING SECURITY. (The best security I’ve seen even after looking at 10-15 other places in the area) That said I have had some minor issues that were annoying to deal with but the leasing staff (particularly Tacoby & Felicia) were so understanding, helpful and friendly, It was honestly hard to be upset. If you are looking for your next place THIS IS THE ONE. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

First, I’ll give credit where it’s due: Taoby and Lauren are the MVPs. I cannot tell you how much each of them mean to me when they go above and beyond for me (a person with health issues). I’d list it all but I’m afraid we’d lost Lauren to nursing school, she is that helpful/caring. How Tacoby isn’t running the leasing agent training program, I’ll never know. Francisco and Mike are great and always on property and friendly. Mike seems to know everything about Statler. Now for a couple of downsides: you do not know how much you’ll miss outside area until a few months in. No windows open so for however long your lease is, the air stays stagnant for the same. This is the biggest reason I’m leaving. I have heard no neighbors, experience quiet and peace all over the property. The other negative is the gate that people keep hitting. They seem to be more wide open than closed and locked. One more thing I’ve seen elsewhere is a business office or co-working spaces. That’d be great to see. I enjoyed my time there so much and will miss the family that is The Statler Residences.

Tacoby was great to work with. He’s really friendly and made everything super easy. The building itself is nice with good amenities and a chill vibe. I had a good experience overall and would definitely recommend reaching out to him if you’re interested in living here.

Google
Tacoby did such a wonderful walking me through the building and showing what the community at the Statler Residences has to offer. He was so friendly with the other staff and residents, and I noticed they all had a smile when he walked up to them to say hi. To me, it truly showed how much the staff care about making this community as welcoming to all as possible, something I value when choosing an apartment complex. The units were well maintained and even the residents who lived there have given me great reviews on their experience. I look forward to starting my lease with you soon!

Tacoby is awesome! I was so impressed with the tour that we applied on site. Love the property, used to live in the area and just cant wait to be back. He is so personable and so sweet, I truly felt like I already lived on property. Can't wait to move in!!

Google
The staff here is so caring. Maddie is the best concierge ever, she truly gets to know staff and makes a difference here. Lauren is amazing too! Tacoby the leasing agent helped so much with my tour and move in and has made sure everything has been smooth since. The staff here truly genuinely cares about residents here and I have never had that at any apartment. 10/10 people :)

The Statler is a great place. We went for bowling but didn't leave w/o a couple of games of corn hole, some good bites & a couple of cocktails as well. The bartenders were awesome. They also have a game table. Can't recall if it was foosball, air hockey, or what, but it's there. This is a nice place to have fun & chill with a small group of friends or for a date night for 2.

Yelp
The staff here is very unhelpful and rude. The only thing I liked about this place was the restaurants attached to it, and its proximity to shopping. Almost missed various dinner reservations and a flight waiting on their valet. I cannot stress how much of a scam their valet was. You would have been better off finding and paying for your own parking. God help you if you're disabled because the staff sure as H*LL WON'T

Yelp
Ron is very friendly and welcoming. Great tour, reassuring attitude. Did his best to answer my questions. Love the stories of this old building, love the large windows of this floor plan, love the friendly neighbors. Also love that I don't hear them because of the concrete between each floor. Unfortunately since I signed my first lease, issues have arisen that keep me from being able to relax and call the Statler home. There's been a miscommunication about my lease and rent, and it's been a months-long process to correct the numbers. The number first communicated to me as the total prorated amount was an overestimate. The 5% preferred employer discount rate for which I qualified wasn't applied for the first couple of months. Not wanting to be punished for late payments, I overpaid. I'm the only one doing the math to correct for it. Response was quick at first--I was sent a new lease with the corrected numbers--but has been slower since the beginning--the numbers in my online account haven't actually been corrected. Things have been sorted out much quicker when we meet in person, but due to my work schedule, that hasn't been possible. Especially in a season of recession, I would appreciate respect that my budget is limited and is the fruit of my hard work, that I chose to live here, and that I deserve accurate numbers so I don't have to be on guard to keep from being swindled. Furthermore, there was water damage in my ceiling. It had been painted over, so I didn't notice upon moving in. A welt has slowly started to form on the ceiling and grow larger. A month after I finally finished moving in, it had swollen into a bump the size of a honeydew and started actively dripping water, threatening to burst. I submitted a maintenance request under the "critical" category but only received a response three days later. (Thankfully the water dripping stopped; wonder if it's related to the shower upstairs or something.) The offered solution was to replaster and repaint because there was someone living upstairs at the moment and would be less invasive than fixing the root issue. I'm only two months into my lease and would rather have the root issue addressed instead of risking a flood. In my apartment search, I had wanted a place with large windows and ample natural lighting, and I really like what I have here. However, the windows don't open. There's an article online about a fire in this building from a few years back. Recently when I was cooking it got a little smoky, but there was no fire. Couldn't open the windows. The little vent under the microwave didn't help. There was no button on the smoke detectors to stop it. Couldn't get ahold of the 24/7 concierge because of recent staffing issues. Couldn't get ahold of 24/7 security. Ultimately called the hotel front desk who was able to send someone from security but it was another thirty minutes before the alarm was finally off. Was told that security should get an automatic alert but no one was there. Was reminded that there's a $500 fine for tampering with or disabling the smoke detectors. (Per lease, it's $100 + one month's rent + actual damages + attorney's fees, so $500 is a steal.) Because of all the calls that weren't answered initially and the delay in reaching the security team, the whole ordeal lasted 1.5 hours before the alarms were finally turned off. Good things, to be fair: cute little half bath, small but well-equipped gym (has all the things I need), not charged $30 a month for valet trash, elevators always functioning and pretty quick, convenient mail room, great concierge team when staffed (currently 24/7 weekdays), lovely views (I could see fireworks on the horizon from at least three neighboring cities on July 4th!), nice pool area, fast internet. It also impressed me that many of the staff are also my neighbors. They live here, so surely they would care more, no? Weeks ago, there were some weekend nights when Waterproof, the roof-level pool and bar, was playing really loud music until 2 AM. Called Jordan who was working the 24/7 concierge security shift, and he kindly directed me to call Ernesto from the 24/7 security team. Ernesto answered right away and assured me that multiple residents had been calling about the noise level. The very next morning, an email was sent out saying that they were testing noise levels. I'm happy to say that noise from Waterproof has not been an issue since. When I'm not trying to cook and when it's not the anxious days leading up to the next month's rent due date (and the math is still all wrong), I really like living here. Staffing's been an issue, and on some days it's been really inconvenient. I hope I'm not faulted or evicted or anything for the rent math. It's been officially about 2 months since the start of my lease. I wanted to live here for a long time, but it's hard to call it home when it's been an unnecessary additional headache.

Yelp
Lived at the Statler for 13 months. These people are slow to get back to you. I had a faulty smoke alarm that would go off randomly and this would happen often. It could be 7 pm, it could be 2 am, it was never fixed. Additionally, one of the bathrooms in my unit would constantly smell like cigarettes. Even though I put in numerous work orders for it, the issue was never addressed. It's an old building with a lot of issues. Parking is a bad situation. The residences/hotel don't provide guest parking. To top it off, when I moved out, I continued to get miscellaneous charges with no explanation 3 months later. These people are slow to attend to you but quick to ask for a check. Poor management. Save your time and money.

Yelp
I experienced a highly hospitable tour thanks to Ron Mitchell. He was very approachable, knowledgeable, and exuded positive energy! I usually have tons of questions but he already answered them without me having to ask. He was super detailed in explaining all aspects of the property. I can envision myself as a resident here and that says a lot. I highly recommend!

Yelp
We had a very unwelcoming experience at the pool this past weekend while visiting a family member who lives at these apartments. We were there minding our own business and grilling some food when the pool guy, Teondre, decides to force us out of the pool area. We thought he was joking but then he shows up with 3 other security guys and a Dallas police officer. It went from zero to 100 very fast. We had no idea that there is only 1 guest per resident here and that these rules were ever enforced. It was a ridiculous scene that didn't need to happen. We left feeling embarrassed and worried for our safety. The worst part is my wife and I were considering moving here and after this last experience it's a hard pass for us. This place is not family friendly and not at all a place where the staff supports their residents. We didn't catch the other guys' names because they would turn away when we looked but Teondre was on a power trip to kick us out. Definitely not considering this place for our next move.

Yelp
Imagine this.. paying over $2000 in rent and not being able to use your amenities with friends or family... you can only bring one person with you to the pool or you will be forced off the grill in a very disrespectful manner two the residence on a birthday and even calling the police to have us all escorted out of my own place that I live at.... I'm paying 2k+ for this? and be treated like this is disgusting

Yelp
Pretty nice abodes. Parking situation needs to be a bit more clear as to having to rent parking in the region if one is driving in. An average of $20 a day to park (mandatory valet to park in building) and the charge points for electric cars is non existent. But other wise, the views are great and the location is hard to beat. Clean, a bit in the loud side late at night due to being downtown, but truly a gem in the city.

Yelp
If this could be less than a 1 star review...it absolutely would be. Our friend recently moved to these apartments, and yesterday, my husband and I were visiting in considerations of possibly becoming residents when our lease runs out in the fall. Our experience was absolutely disgusting. I've never, ever, ever experienced anything near this. Me and my husband showed up to meet our friend at the resident pool today, and no sooner had we set our things down at the grill area, did the security on duty (Teondre) immediately use his radio to call for back up. At first we thought he was joking, because, I promise you, we were not rowdy, we literally just walked up and that was it. Within 2 minutes about 3 of his buddies came down with a uniformed police officer and one of the guys (he was not wearing a name tag) began aggressively yelling at our friend, getting in his face, and slamming the counter screaming over and over again how it was "only one guest per resident!!!". I don't understand the aggression exhibited or the hostility. It was honestly so so bizarre. Our friend, who is the resident, kept asking for their names and they kept covering their name tags. We happened to catch Teondre's name because he actually had a name tag on. We asked if we could finish on the grill and the unnamed man kept screaming. We were honestly afraid for our safety....also super confused why the police officer never stepped in. He just stood there. We left and were so disappointed and defeated. I will never ever give the statler a second thought now, after this experience. There was a calm and professional way to approach this, if they truly are enforcing a 1-guest per resident rule...but to immediately start screaming and slamming things is so unprofessional. I don't care about getting kicked out the pool area, I care that your employee felt the need to have 4 men back him up and that another employee felt the need to get in our friend's face and slam the counter. It's alarming. Management/corporate, whoever makes the changes -moving forward, I hope that you do better when you hire and maybe have the foresight to think that your residents are excited and proud to live here and want to show the place off to their friends...who are potential future residents/customers. I hope this situation is embarrassing enough for you to make changes

Yelp
I would highly recommend the Statler Residences for a home. Ron Mitchell went above and beyond what was required for a Leasing Agent -Mgr. Ron answered every question, what a wealth of knowledge and information. He was awesome, an amazing, professional, personable individual. Truly gifted! Thank you Ron Mitchell!

Yelp
Terrible place. You get one key they won't bring extra towel or blankets. The WIFI is terrible. The building is unclear you get lost. There is way to many key entry's around the building. There is no parking and the AC/Heat is awful. Some elevators go to the other side of the hotel which you can't stay at. It also smelled like marijuana throughout the whole floor.

Nhiaja P.

Yelp
I had to write a review because honestly I feel so supported and welcomed at The Statler Residences. Ron has been helpful in every way possible as well as the concierge! I moved from Atlanta and have been stressed trying to work and make this move. I have to recommend everyone to this beautiful place. So many amenities and great food ( did I say great food). I feel secure and love my choice of living. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yelp
We were at the pool with family(residents) cooking and had 3 gentleman approach us with a armed officer telling us that we couldn't be at the pool, telling us that we needed to gather our things and leave. The place was empty, except one family that was swimming. We didn't bother anyone, wasn't being loud, wasn't even playing music. Just a family trying to cook their dinner. Unfortunately Teondre was the only name we could get, the others were trying to cover their name tags every time we looked in their direction. They made such a scene to the point where it made everyone uncomfortable. The family in the pool even started to gather their things because of the scene these guys were causing. One of the guys went as far as to call his supervisor (walked off during the call) then came back only to say "she is not coming". on a Sunday my guy? I bet he didn't call anyone because he knew they were completely out of line. I'm not sure if this was a power trip or what. The worse part is i was checking the place out because my wife and I are relocating for my profession. This place happened to be high on our list because family lived here. Needless to say we have crossed this location off our list and will be seeking residency elsewhere.

Yelp
Save your money and go somewhere else. The Stay Alfred people are gross and the apartments are definitely not worth what you are paying.
