The Best Steakhouses in Portland

"Tucked inside a Best Western motel, this Beaverton steakhouse with vaulted ceilings, wood paneling, and stacks of firewood feels like it belongs in another time, or in Twin Peaks. Diners can embrace the throwback vibe with old-school steakhouse favorites like butter lettuce salad, shrimp cocktail, and a filet with a baked potato. Steaks arrive doused in garlic, sage, and thyme butter, plus a classic green peppercorn au poivre. The space is also home to the Chamber, one of the surrounding area’s only public cigar lounges." - Ben Coleman

We came for a family celebration on a Friday evening. It was not too crowded, and we had reservations just in case. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Unfortunately, the guest of honor ordered a steak, which was not prepared per his request. They left his sides, and he had eaten them by the time the newly prepared steak arrived. Otherwise, everyone enjoyed their dishes. We had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant, so most likely, we will return, and I will update this review.

Steak is ok. Has a butter taste. Texture is decent. Potato balls were decent. Steak bites are decent. Fries with duck fat is delicious. Pork skin is delicious.

Good steak in Beaverton? And if you had told me, it's at the Best Western, I would have told you to F off. I've been to pretty much every steakhouse in Portland so I rarely think of Beaverton when going out for steak, but my neighbor told me about this place along with the cigar bar up top. About four of us rolled in about 1800 with no reservation, the place was pretty empty at that time so we got a table straight away. When you turn into the place, there is plenty of parking if you take the little one way road along the front of the hotel and go down the hill to the backside...plenty of parking. We had the house old fashions and my lady had her dirty goose martini, pork rinds and olives for appetizers. For the meal we all had the steak dinners. The prices here are amazing compared to other steak places in Portland and it's not all ala carte like those places so your dinner comes with steak, some gravy stuff on top and asparagus (you will smell it in your pee the next day) and potatoes. I had the NY strip steak cooked medium. Other folks at my table has the filet and NY strip with one person saying his filet was cooked too done but he still said it was tender and good. Now, most steak places serve prime beef and it's pretty easy to determine the beef is prime because it's generally all over the menu, and I meant to ask but it slipped my mind so I'm going to say it was choice beef....which is no necessarily a bad thing as I buy that from Costco unless I'm feeling extra and want to spring for prime. The steak also comes with a pat of butter on top that stayed solid so the steak was not super hot on the outside. The gravy was good, but next time I'll see if they put it on the side as good steaks don't need anything but salt and pepper and some good butter so the steak could not stand on it's on. The potatoes were excellent and I (along with others at the table) felt the asparagus was a bit overcooked. Overall the server was super nice, helpful and understood the entire menu and was amazing. I plan to go back again as I think my dad would like this place also so plan to take him one day. Best steakhouse in Beaverton? I'd say yes as I'm unaware of any other steak places in Beaverton. And it looks like this place is only open Thu-Sat.

Google
At first we were a little nervous about the quality because it was in a Best Western but OMGoodness totally worth it! Steak cuts like butter and the salt and vinegar pork grinds were amazing! A little on the pricey side but you totally get what you pay for. Definitely one of the best steaks in Portland.

The Steakhouse at 9900 – A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering Thanksgiving 2024 was my first time dining at The Steakhouse at 9900, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. I’ve been a regular at The Chamber upstairs, enjoying cigars and great food, but this was my first sit-down dinner in the Steakhouse—and it did not disappoint. Ambiance Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by the upscale yet welcoming vibe. It’s tucked away inside a Best Western, which might make you hesitate, but don’t let the location fool you. The interior is far nicer than you’d expect, with a cozy, understated charm that feels both inviting and elevated. The Food The food here is truly outstanding. For Thanksgiving, my son had the turkey dish while I went for the prime rib, and both were flawless. The turkey was perfectly cooked—juicy and flavorful—and my prime rib was a showstopper. Tender, seasoned to perfection, and cooked exactly as I ordered. Every bite reminded me why I love finding places like this. Service The waitstaff was phenomenal—attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and clearly passionate about delivering a great experience. It’s the kind of service you don’t always find in larger or more pretentious establishments. What Stands Out The Steakhouse at 9900 feels like a hidden gem, offering the quality of Portland’s best steakhouses but without the pretentiousness. The food holds its own against any high-end spot, but the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a perfect choice for a family dinner or a night out with friends. Final Thoughts Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Steakhouse at 9900 is a must-visit. Incredible food, welcoming service, and a vibe that’s both polished and approachable—it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. Rating: 5/5 stars. Absolutely worth it.

Google
Food was pretty good. But... - service left a LOT to be desired which is terrible considering they build in tips at 20%. I'm not kidding, service sucked. Which makes next point even worse - got charged for additional steak which wasn't ordered - it's a steak house that asks "what color do you want your steak" and not referencing things like medium, medium rare, etc. - it's in a Best Western. Yes, you read this correctly. - you have to ask for bread and water - they refuse to split the check for large parties Would not recommend unless you are staying there and even then there are better options for your money.

Google
I'll start off with just 2 words...Hidden Gem! Fist off the restaurant itself is a hidden Gem. The cuisine here is fabulous and the ambiance and decor were nice. Secondly, the entrance is hidden.... hidden inside the lobby of the Best Western it's attached to, so it took us a minute to find the entrance. The staff is very accommodating, tentative and took care of our every need. We started off with the Beat Salad which was quite tasty, the beats and goat cheese along with the arugula played very well together. I would have preferred a little more acid in the dressing but I am an acid freak and a lot of people don't like that as much as I do. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon with roasted fingerlings and asparagus. The Filet was cooked perfectly. Nice crust on the outside and tender juicy medium on the inside. The asparagus was cooked great and had a nice snap to them. I had the Shrimp and Zucchini Risotto which was very well prepared. The rice was perfectly cooked with the right amount of cheese and the Shrimp were plump and juicy with a slight char on the outside. Overall a well balanced dish. We finished off the night with a new desert that wasn't on the menu. It was a lemon custard with a layer of crumbled gram cracker and topped with an unsweetened whipped cream which perfectly balanced out the dish. This is a restaurant that I see myself frequenting often!

Google
Pretty good food at a great price. You can get a 7oz filet mignon for $40, with sides. However, even at that price the steak is cooked very well. We got a new York stripe because they had run out of filet mignons, ordered medium rare, and came perfectly. The steak also came with a gorgonzola butter, asparagus, and fingerling potatoes. The second dish we got was a chef special, pork cheek pasta in a cherry sauce. It was delicious and the pork was tender beyond belief. The only thing I would say is that it could use a bit of salt, on both. Side note definitely get the duck fat rosemary fries.

Yelp
I had some out of town visitors this weekend and they were in the mood for Steak and drinks. So I figured what better excuse to revisit this place?!? I even remembered to take pics before devouring everything. Most of us chose the ribeye , medium rare. These steaks were cooked to perfection. Clean plates all around... that doesn't happen often with us. I have to say the Old Fashioned I ordered, paired extremely well with the fries and steak. The service here is always friendly and casual, they will modify your order to exactly how you want it, with what ever appetizers or sides you want with it. They will take time to answer any questions you have on and off the menu. Very nice people here. I will definitely bring guests here again.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting Portland and came here for dinner on the recommendation of his boss, who has lived in the area his entire life. When we drove up, we were super confused at first - why would he send us to a Best Western?! But upon checking online reviews, we knew we were in for a treat. Don't be fooled by the location! My husband ordered the old fashioned and I got a Manhattan. The Manhattan was FABULOUS, but my husband wasn't thrilled with the addition of Fernet in the old fashioned. We got the cheese plate and Caesar salad to start - the Caesar was one of the best I've ever had! We both got steaks (ribeye for him, NY strip for me) and were SO pleased with the way they were cooked. The blue cheese butter was a wonderful touch. We also got a side of the Brussels sprouts - UNREAL, don't skip them! You'd literally never know that such a great restaurant was here. Let it stay a hidden gem - we feel like we discovered a local secret! We would absolutely return.

Yelp
What in the fuck. This was our best meal in Oregon this trip. Not because all the other meals weren't great. This meal was epically downright damn delicious. Told my girl to get dressed up we doing steak tonight. Roll up to a Best Western like hold upppp.... Got inside was like this a lil funny... Our awesome server was like welcome! We ain't pretentious! I was like shiiiiit same! And it really was our type of vibe! Cooling it relaxing no upscale hoohaa just some amazing steak and chill vibes. Would highly recommend this spot. A short drive away from Portland DT area but worth the drive foshoooooo!

Yelp
Came here as a last minute thought but has been on our list for a while. The salad was delicious, tried the butter lettuce and the Ceasar salad, 5 for the salads. Got the duck fat fries, not enough seasonings. 3 out of 5. The entrées were mixed, the gnocchi and lamb daily special was phenomenal, 5 out of 5. The husband got the rib eye, it was over cooked and rubbery tough, 3 out of 5. For the price point, the gnocchi won. There was no bread service, which was weird. The service was fantastic, the woman helping us was kind and attentive. The ambiance was weird, there was a super strong hint of smoke I think due to the cigar bar on premises. The dining room was pretty space but on the plus it was quiet and casual. Overall, a good solid restaurant and we're glad we went!

Yelp
Food, ambiance and service was amazing!! A little hard to find though. Parking wasn't the greatest.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We had the beet and apple salad, filet mignon, and the chef choice ravioli. All was delicious!

Yelp
We were looking for a steakhouse for a friend meet up (4 of us) and were lucky to come across this hidden gem. We each had something different a steak, pork chop , salmon and a Caesar salad. All of the food was amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. The salmon was prepared and presented well and the pork chop was thick and juicy. Everyone loved the food and all plates were empty at the end of the meal. We sat in the bar area as there was a large party enjoying the evening and we wanted to chat quietly. Our server, Linda, was on the spot and took care of everything we asked for. We will definitely return to enjoy this restaurant again. Thank you for a wonderful night.

Yelp
Fantastic food, friendly and surprisingly knowledgeable wait staff. It's not the nicest steakhouse I've been to but their meat is better than the price point says it is. I wouldn't recommend it for a fancy first date if you're trying to show off, but I would recommend it for a nice date night that you could wear slack and a button up or jeans and a t-shirt.

Yelp
This little place is incredible. I've been meaning to leave a review for a while. My wife and I have been here a few times and every time it's been outstanding. The food is honestly too good for the price and the ambience is very cozy. The service is always great as well. The New York steak and the ribeye are perfectly cooked and always paired with great sides. My wife loves the beets and berries salad and talks about it all the time. They also do a great old-fashioned with fernet added to it which is an interesting addition.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Just had dinner here after looking at reviews. Was so good! It was empty so we had the dining room to ourselves. Not a high end restaurant but the service and food were awesome. We started with their house Old Fashions, so good. Then had two small salads Caesar Salad & Gem Salad which were both delicious but we favored the Gem Salad for sure. Then we shared the Bone in Rib Eye (Tomahawk) which came with Fingerling potatoes & asparagus. It was perfect for us both and everything was flavorful. Best part, our server who was just the best...Seyca! We will be back.

Yelp
Hidden gem and full of charm. Excellent service and super friendly staff. Amaaaaaazing steak, my only feedback was could have been a bit more seasoned but it was tender and juicy, shots are not stingy, there's a bar and cigar bar. We had a lovely time and will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Don't let the exterior fool you... the food here is fantastic, and the owner is welcoming and friendly. Steak and seafood are fresh and well prepared, and if you enjoy a cigar after your meal... The Chamber upstairs can accommodate. Enjoy!

Yelp
Although this place is a tat out of our way we had to go and try it... reason being, they have the awesomest general manager working there ! We knew her from our local restaurant before that place was taken over (sold or rented out) to some restaurants I'm not even going to review. The restaurant she worked at first was top notch, 5 star! Ambience (as in the sweetest people working there), and food! Bare with me, it becomes really good !!! So, we were super sad that our awesome Heather and chef Jamie were gone, still I have her as a friend on fb so found out she now worked at The Steakhouse at 9900! We booked a table (it's a busy place!) at the restaurant part (there's also a bar where you don't need a reservation, and a cigar lounge where you definitely need a reservation !). We were greeted by a wonderful young lady, saw "our" Heather! Happy happy! And now for the other amazing part: I asked if she could make my favorite drink... she had taken it with her ! And not just the drink but several other things on the menu!!! Now, for the food this could be disaster in the wrong chefs hands well, ready for it ?!! Jamie the awesomest chef was there as well !!! Woohooo ! And of course the food was yummy, the desserts were scrumptious, the people attentive even while they were obviously running off their feet ! Ambience is warm, would be great to take a date, the family, business meeting etc

Yelp
I wanted to take a friend out for his birthday. I saw the reviews on this steakhouse and I felt pretty excited to try it. The ambience was uncomfortable and dark. The food was bland and overcooked. I was pretty disappointed.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
What a surprise! We are from out of the area and took our chances on a restaurant we found on Google. Food was great, welcoming old-school style ambiance, and excellent service. We had a steam clam dinner as an appetizer, steaks for dinner, then lemon custard and scratch brownie for dessert. Our dinner was $120 but would have been way more somewhere else. Our server made us feel welcome, and we didn't want for anything. We sure wish we lived closer. We'd be regulars!

Rochelle S.

Yelp
Husband and I had dinner on Saturday night. It was quiet when we arrived, but became busier as the evening continued. Our server was Heather and she was terrific. We both ordered a steak dinner. I had the filet and my husband had the New York. Comes with fingerling potatoes and asparagus and a nice sauce served with the steak. We both had a salad. I had the Cesar salad and my husband had the beet salad. Both were delicious. We would recommend this restaurant for the service, quality of food and price. We will be back!

William F.

Yelp
Great place. Walked in on a slow night but immediately felt welcomed. Had a burger with a fried egg and the house made chicarronnes. Both were fantastic. Understand the Pork Chop is highly recommended and will order that when back in the Pacific Northwest.
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner. Staff was lovely and food was delicious. We loved the steamer clams and the special cocktail! Salmon was slightly over cooked, however I didn't specify how I wanted it cooked so that was probably my fault. For the price, we enjoyed the experience.

Kate C.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Best Caesar salad I've ever had, and a great size for the price. My boyfriend ordered the filet and I ordered the ribeye, both served with asparagus and potatoes. The seasoning and blue cheese butter on the steaks was excellent. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our server, Heather, was phenomenal. Highly recommended!!
google avatar

Tasha S.

Yelp
The staff was great. Clean. Hard to find but it is inside the best western. Bathrooms are clean but tiny. The food was spiced really well except the mashed potatoes were very bland. I liked the food but I'll be honest it is definitely middle of the road. The prices tho wasn't bad considering inflation right now.
google avatar

Arun S.

Yelp
Fantastic steak. Had 14oz ribeye and it was perfect. We also took stuffed mushrooms and steamed clams. Both were fantastic too. Seafood chowder ( soup of the day) was bit of a let down. It was bit watery and not the usual thick chowder we get. Service was great. Great place for dinner with near and dear ones. Never expected a place like this in canyon road . Note:- restaurant is inside Best western hotel. You need to park it in hotel parking. It's easy to miss the turn otherwise.

Troy S.

Yelp
It's always a great experience dining here. The steaks are wonderful, of course, but if your stomach is set on steak, don't let the menu distract you. the bartender told me that the chef is new and changed the menu slightly. I had pasta with Italian sausage and clams...it was wonderful! You really wouldn't expect a place like this in this neighborhood, let alone in the lobby of a three star hotel. the decor will remind folks of a certain age of steak houses of the 70s. Look carefully though and you'll notice details that the decor isn't outdated...it's intentional. and very comfortable. Also, the wait staff are professionals. you're not going to find a hand written sign on the door advertising minimum wage positions...These folks KNOW what service is about. Ask about the wine they offer. They'll be happy to give you as much detail as you like and their pairing suggestions are spot on. If your a cocktail person, you won't be disappointed either. Their cocktail list is short, but the bartender knows how to mix a drink and all of their offerings are top shelf. This is not a video poker lounge. You will be disappointed by Ruth Chris after dining here. Price? Who cares! Be sure to leave what you were expecting to pay as a tip.

Yelp
First off: it's now a Best Western, not a Shilo Inn. The lobby and bathrooms seem to be remodeled, can't speak for the actual rooms. The ambiance at 9900 and Lou's was good and as expected from the photos. We have a reservation for 6 for a birthday dinner. We were sat promptly at our reserved time which was fairly early, only 15 minutes after they opened. Where to begin. We ordered drinks (4 of the 6 of us) and a few appetizers to start. BACON CEASAR was amazing and a great size for the price. At this time our server told us about the bone in Rib-eye special, she didn't know the size to begin with. I asked her up front how much it was, she stated $32. When our apps and drinks came she confirmed that it was 20oz. IMMEDIATELY I asked her "and it's $32, are you sure it's not more like $42?" (The regular 14oz ribeye is $32 on their menu). And she said, no it's $32. Naturally because that seemed like a steal, 4 of the 6 of us ordered the special. About 15 minutes or so later she comes and taps me on the shoulder and says "Unfortunately I was wrong about the price of the special, it's actually $52." And I asked her if we could change our order if some of us wanted to since that's a $20 difference. And she said no--the steaks were already cooking but she would talk to her manager and she what she could do. The steaks were perfectly cooked to order. Everyone else got a baked potato and liked it. I ordered green beans and asparagus which were over cooked (musty) and severely under seasoned. The lobster sauce I ordered with my steak was tasty. Someone ordered the burger and really liked it, also complimented the onion rings. As we're wrapping up our meals, she came let us know everyone would receive 20% off. Since we were all couples we asked for the bill to be split 3 ways. So.... 25 MINUTES LATER... someone else came over to tell us that we had to pay on one check because when they tried to split it in the system, the order kept disappearing. Honestly, not a problem--we all have Venmo so we can handle it between ourselves. However, we were now late for our Top Golf reservation because they fondled with the check for 25 minutes. Truly, after 1-2x, maybe 5-10 minutes of trying to work on the split.... They could of come back to us with an update so we could have just told them one check was fine and we needed to get going. So they gave us 20% off food, NOT drinks... and honestly with a cleared table and empty drinks... waiting 25 minutes for the check or at least an update was unacceptable. This is currently rated a 5 star restaurant and the service and side dishes for entrees is lacking. As previously mentioned, no dessert menu, nothing was offered, and no free birthday treat here (they knew the occasion), and a $300 bill still after everything was discounted.

Lauren S.

Yelp
My fiancée took me her this evening, envisioning a nice, delicious meal with a great ambiance and good service. We got part of that and I wish it were all 3 of those things. Service: great, attentive and helpful, kind Ambience: nice, candle lit, very quiet and no fire in the fireplace which we were sat by and very cold drafty. Food: Caesar salad was great. Steak dinners, not so much. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out medium well. He ordered NY Strip medium and it was rare. Potatoes accompanied to the dish were so dry that they were inedible. Asparagus were perfect. We will not be back. Steaks had a lot of fat on them and weren't cooked to our ordering. The potato thing is unforgivable as potatoes are not easy to fuck up. Service was great. Their people should work elsewhere as they could be making more where food is better.

Yelp
Probably the best steakhouse on the westside! My friends have here a couple of times and told me that we all need to come here for dinner. We actually all made it for our friend's bday dinner this past weekend. We were able to get a large enough table to fit all of us. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the ribeye with a side of asparagus and a fully loaded baked potato (that's the go to dish of our group). The steak was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor to it. The bartender also made us great old fashioned to go with our meal. It was also the manager bday weekend and he was working, but also looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. The place may not look like much outside, but don't let that fool you. As the saying goes, "don't judge a book by its cover". We all had a great time here and I'm sure we will be back again.

Yelp
Had a celebration of life family dinner here last year. The ambiance is lovely, very cozy. The food was delicious and our server was A+ amazing. She was very sweet and respectful of why we were there.

Yelp
Absolutely enjoyed my meal and time here. Ordered the filet and it was cooked to perfection. Loved the Arancini appetizer as well. Goat cheese changed the game. All staff was so warm and friendly. Our server Heather was a certified wine specialist and helped me with my choice. Do not be deceived by the fact that this gem is located at a Best Western. It is a 12/10. Will be back.

Yelp
Been there several times for company celebrations lots of great memories The steak is fantastic way up there kn the scale and by far best steak places in Beaverton I even got a sweat shirt from them

Yelp
Such a gem of a restaurant! I originally came in last year when visiting the area and was excited to get to make another visit this year when I came back to Beaverton. While this is a steakhouse, I think my favorite thing on the menu is the salmon. It was just as delicious as I remember it from the previous year. The salmon is cooked perfectly and comes with a medley of fresh veggies (beets, fingerling potatoes, green beans, and garlic) and cheese crumbles. I also had the filet another evening, which was also delicious. The sauce with mushrooms was rich and added great flavor to a simple steak. Bread comes first with the meal and is always warmed with a side of butter and salt provided. All the food is truly fantastic quality and carefully prepared. The service is also always spot on! Plus on Tuesday's they offer 25% off the meal.

Yelp
Melanie was rude and not welcoming. Server Seyco was pleasant and made all the difference. Steaks were returned to re-cook. Not recommended.

Yelp
Really good food at our first visit. Great bread, excellent ceasar salad, perfectly cooked steaks at a reasonable price. They split the ceasar at no cost which was nice. My wife had the 6oz filet that comes over mashed potatoes and asparagus with a lobster sauce over it. I had a taste and agreed with her that it was really good! Steak was a perfect medium rare. I had the New York Strip which was cooked just a little past medium rare, just like I ordered. I ordered the red wine demiglaze on mine which paired nicely. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was really not the restaurants fault. They had 2 large groups at the same time, one in the room with us was all guys who had been drinking and were really loud. There were children in the restaurant who didn't need to here constant profanity and how horrible their spouses/girlfriends are. The manager apologized and we understood, but its still part of the experience. We'll go back again, if the atmosphere is how I anticipate I'll change the stars. Btw, our server did a good job and was very helpful.

Yelp
We just came across this place not far from our house and what we love was the service and the food was on point, the restaurant also has a side bar across the hotel and pretty chill place to have a nice meal on the evening. I suggest to reserve a spot because sometimes gets busy and the wait could be little longer. Really satisfied with this restaurant!

Yelp
Okay, this place is EXPENSIVE!!! ONLY COME WITH A NICE CUSHY WALLET lol. Aside from the high dollar in food, the actual flavor is delicious. I had their filet mignon is juicy and created with an awesome lobster glaze and .... the asparagus.... DELECTABLE!!! I LOVE WHEN A PLACE COOKS ASPARAGUS JUST RIGHT. Lol I took pictures of everyone plate at the table. They are very creative with their plating of dishes. I loved the detail! The ambiance is very masculine. There's dim lighting, and plenty of places to be cozy up with a nice date if that's your thing. They have a nice outdoor view seating as well that is really nice. The service was very polite and kind. Again, service was in all black. Very uniform and very helpful with the menu. Bathrooms are clean people!!! You know I have to tell you the cleanliness of the powder rooms lol.

Yelp
I will say, the first time my partner tried to bring me here, I made an absolute stink about eating steak at a motel. He was leaving for a 3 month shoot abroad and all I wanted was a nice steak dinner to say goodbye. I got all dressed up and we drove up to a motel in Beaverton. I was not a nice girlfriend to him while in the car. However, I got out and went inside and was then greeted with the very overwhelming smell of cigar smoke from the cigar bar... strike two. Once we got into the actual restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by how cozy and cute it is. Kind of looks like a log cabin somewhere deep in the woods. The restaurant itself does not look like it belongs in a roadside motel, but what do I know? We basically had the whole place to ourselves that first time and everyone just poured on us. The bartender came out to ask us what kind of "off-menu" drink he'd like us to make and made a recipe with us right there. Drinks were amazing and had all of our favorite flavor profiles in each of our individual drinks. We basically had our own mixologist (because he was probably bored) but it was perfect. I like my steak black and blue but still warm throughout, and my steak was perfect. I don't remember what cut I got, but I remember exclaiming that it was the best steak I've ever had. Fast forward to every time we've come since, I always say "no THIS is the best steak I've ever had." Needless to say, i regret being such a brat about this restaurant being in a motel. It makes it more quirky that way. We now go here whenever we have a celebration. Most recently our anniversary. We've never had a bad experience. My only note is that the menu has changed quite a bit since covid, like anywhere I guess. The menu items have been changed to be more "everyone friendly" and have lost some of their more unique and adventurous plates. The steak is still the only thing I care about, so no stars deducted!

Yelp
Wow. The service and food here was amazing. I got a ribeye with compound butter and fingerling potatoes. Was delicious. I'm stuffed and want more lol! The waitress Seyca was so helpful and kind. She helped us pick the food and totally embraced and made our experience super enjoyable!! Will for sure come back soon.

Yelp
We found ourselves in Beaverton at dinnertime and I remembered that I had read some good reviews of this place so we stopped by. We were there a little after 5pm and we were the only customers in the place at that time. This used to be Nendel's and a couple of other names in the last 40 or so years and we had eaten here in those days. The interior is just about as we remembered, a lot of wood and a big fireplace, unfortunately it was not going this time. A very limited menu but enough options to make it interesting, service was ok but weird since we were the only ones there. We both ordered the 7 oz filet medium, and a baked potato. There is a small up-charge for the baked potato ($3.) but worth it. The steaks were great, very tender and juicy, well seasoned and perfectly cooked, there was some asparagus, well prepared and tasty but the bakers needed to be much hotter. All in all a good meal. We asked about whether they served onion rings and it turns out the bar next door does so they were able to get us an order, they were ok. but way too much breading. There is no salt and pepper on the table and when I asked for it the waitress brought a very small bowl with some rock salt and a tiny spoon and a giant pepper mill which she used to pepper my meal. Very strange and not very user friendly still and all the steaks were great. By the time we left there were 9 more people in the place and it seemed nicer to have some other people around. We might try it again if we are in the area again and looking for a steak but I will bring some salt and pepper with me

Yelp
This definitely a hidden gem. I was a bit skeptical being that the restaurant is located inside a beer western. Service is excellent! All of the staff were kind and very knowledgeable of the menu. To start We ordered the turkey chili (some of the best chili I've ever had), gumbo (good flavor just wish it was a little thicker), stuffed mushrooms (I didn't try but the rest of my party loved them), and steak bites (they were ok, the glaze was really sweet and I prefer savory). For dinner everyone in my party except me ordered NY steaks. I chose Alfredo. I was disappointed with it. I love pasta! This pasta was the driest Alfredo I've ever had. It was like cooked noodles with cheese thrown on top. There was no sauce to it. I did try the steak and it was delicious! For our sides we had the corn (tasted like seafood despite not having any in it), Asparagus (so good!), country green beans, and baked potato. Simply put, I would definitely return.

Yelp
In side of this restaurant is so pretty and cozy. Wen we got here , nobody eating. There was fire place and we had cozy dinner time. They close blinds and covering windows.from outside, didn't know there is a restaurant.

Yelp
This is a coffee shop that happens to serve steaks that are mediocre at best. It is located in the lobby of a Best Western motel. The food was barely decent. None of the steaks was cooked right. They all had to be sent back to be heated. The waitress Seyka did a great job to accommodate us as best as possible however the bar attendant and greeter Melanie was very rude and abrupt. Not quite sure why she would choose hospitality as a job. I do not recommend nor would I ever go back.

Yelp
This was the 3rd time we've been to the restaurant. The first time was amazing, the second time was terrible but I chalked it up to us having a large party and we knew they were short staffed that night. So we went back for a 3rd time and we're excited and hopeful it would be like the first time we went. It wasn't. We were sat by the sliding doors and heard all the kids playing in the pool below us the entire time even though i had requested the private room since we were there celebrating my husbands birthday. Our waitress was nice enough but the food was not good. 4 of us ordered steak and one person ordered a burger and they were all cooked to death. For a $35 ribeye that was grey in the middle, there are plenty of other choices in town to get a much better steak. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Yelp
This is an interesting place, being tucked inside an unassuming hotel. We waited a while on the service side to begin with but I think they're just short staffed. The food was really good and the small, straight forward menu would make even Gordon Ramsey happy. We would definitely come back. My only concern is they have a huge video lottery banner on the front of the building but when I asked about it, they said it was no longer. How hard is it to pull down a banner? Food is good though.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with my colleagues on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is in The Shiloh Inn! Nice quiet atmosphere, good customer service and nice interior design.. for dinner I went with the burger and a side salad instead of the chips and they were flexible with it. Also ordered the side asparagus because I heard so much from Yelp. Ordered the burger between medium rare and medium, but got it more well done. Side salad was more like a little spinach on the side. There are other good dishes on the dish I wanted to try, but for my current experience, my rating is accurate. Service 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Food 2.5/5 I would still come back to try something else.

Yelp
The entree in question is Pancetta Pasta... I would like to first start off and state that this is the first time I had pasta this kind of quality. You know there are vehicles like Kia, but the flavor quality that I have to compare this entree to would be of a Mercedes Benz and something simple as a pasta! The sauce's identity is of a bell pepper tomato cream sauce and folks I wish I was of a English Literature major so I had the words for you to express the pleasure I'm experiencing. The pasta contains Pancetta give it the flavor kick in the ass to send this dish over the top. This place has ruined Olive Garden for me forever and fuck me I live all the way in Tacoma, WA too. The word "highly" doesn't do justice for me... I highly x5 recommend that you try this pasta dish when you get a chance. I am glad I ate this delectable pasta dish! Thank you Blake G

Yelp
The restaurant is small but warm and cozy. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We went to an early dinner on Saturday night cause we wanted a good steak and were hungry and enjoyed the meal. We are new to the area and wanted a good steak and I read the reviews and we thought we try the place out. We were throughly impressed and we definitely come back here. I

Yelp
The husband denied always trying to go to a nice steakhouse for our anniversary. Our 7th attempt lettuce to this restaurant. Came up as one of the best steak places in Portland when trying to find someplace new. Found out that has only been open about a year or so. We were seated right away and the restaurant opened since our reservations were at 5. The staff were all spectacular. My husband ordered the wedge salad just start it was a great price and he thought it was pretty good. I had the petite filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mashed potatoes were perfect with a little touch of garlic. The asparagus was also great. I ordered my steak medium but it came closer to medium well and was a little drier than I would have wanted. I also thought it could have used more flavor. Overall, I was still happy with it. The husband ordered the bone-in prime rib oh, you thought it was perfect. He also loved the cauliflower court and that came as a side. We had the French toast creme brulee as a dessert and like the extra flavor. The husband also had two mules. This restaurant is also on the westside in Beaverton on Capitol. A little strange to be next to a Shilo but don't let that throw you off. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner last night ! The food was excellent. But even more important the service was superior. Our server Dcoda helped us with suggestions she was professional but also friendly. she checked back with us without being intrusive. She is a great ambassador for your restaurant. And the. there was Mel she was the bartender and everything else. Mel made a wonderful recommendation for wine and made a mean Margarita ! Both of these server made our dining experience exceptional !

Yelp
Don't let the fact that this place is LOCATED inside the Shilo scare you away. They are Doing some amazing things in this place & making some killer food. Rumor is the Shilo is scheduled for some major updating which will help. We have been back to Thai place many times now & have literally never left disappointed. So happy to have great Steak House on the Westside.

Yelp
Great steak house! A bit strange location but has flavorful steak and steak sauce. The side dishes I got (mashed potatoes and green beans) were ehh okay, but the steak was great! The drinks were fresh and tasty! The service was friendly and casual. Overall we had a great experience. We will be back

Yelp
Mixed feelings here.... It is difficult in Oregon to find a decent let alone high end restaurant. I am one of the dying breed that still wants a proper steak dinner. I discovered this isn't the place for that experience. First off, the music is that of a club in Old Town. So if that is what you want to listen to while having dinner, this is your spot! No judgment! My second observation, my mother taught me at a proper dinner you must wait for everybody to be served their meal before you begin to eat. Well folks prepare for whoever is served their meal first to have a cold meal if they have manners. We waited a significant amount of time for everyone to be served. Before you say there's a big difference in cook times and preparation times etc. everyone at the table either had a steak of similar preparation or a burger. There was reason for food to come out staggered. In the end, as the owner states, it's "just four guys" trying to run a restaurant and that's cool! Its great for those who are looking for a meal out, but it is certainly not a true steakhouse experience.
