Tracking Alon Shaya’s Split From John Besh | Eater New Orleans

"After allegations of institutionalized sexual harassment within the Besh Restaurant Group, Harrah’s Casino severed its relationship with John Besh and said it will rename the restaurant; Harrah’s general manager stated the company takes the allegations seriously and, to his knowledge, none of the allegations pertain to Besh Steak." - Eater Staff

I recently dined at The Steakhouse and had an outstanding experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was welcoming and cozy. Our server, Darnesia, was incredibly attentive and made sure we felt right at home. The manager, Merlinda, also checked in on us and ensured everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were exceptional. I highly recommend The Steakhouse for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. I will definitely be returning!

Came here for dinner since we had folio credit to use and wanted something upscale. First off, we got seated in a dark booth—even had curtains but I had to push them aside to get more light. I am not of fan of dim-lit places where it’s so hard to see my food. Food was mediocre. Appetizers were just okay—we got the Louisiana BBQ Shrimp, Natchitoches Meat Pie and Chicken & Sausage Gumbo. Was disappointed in the steak—meat was tender but was not very flavorful, even spreading the herb butter all over my 16 oz. Prime Ribeye didn’t help much. For sides, the Asparagus and Covey Rise Brussel Sprouts were decent but the Crab Risotto was not good, very bland—another dish that lacked flavor here. Service was good, our server was friendly and attentive.

Google
Great Dinner and a even better experience. Our waitress was top notch. The appetizers were spot on. Our main entrees were all served hot and fresh. We visited The Steakhouse on Super Bowl Sunday, we made reservations earlier that day and we were able to be seated right at 5 when they opened. The Atmosphere was very electric and entertaining. When you visit New Orleans make this a must do. You will not be disappointed.

It was my first time at The Steakhouse and I really had high expectations. On a Friday night at 9pm I had almost expected it to be somewhat busy and too late to be seated. My husband and I were seated immediately and they were not busy at all. From what we saw there were about 2 -3 other parties in the restaurant. Not busy at all. We ordered our food which was veryyyy good hot and fresh. Hats off to the chef. Now the waitress:Derrineisha , not sure what she was doing all night, but she was definitely not waiting on any other table nor us. Once our food was delivered No One came over to check! No one asked if everything looked fine, did we need anything etc. at this point were the only ones in the restaurant. The waitress finally showed up post meal and scurried and brought us the check. No refills , didn’t ask how our food was, no dessert follow up , NOTHING! The Steakhouse is great but the waiting staff must do better.

Google
The service was trash to say the least. I ordered the crab cakes and lobster Mac and cheese with the N. O. L. A. Tea. The tea was amazing, I waited 15 minutes just for the waitress to tell me they were out of crab cakes. Another 20 minutes for the lobster Mac and cheese which was terrible. It barely had any lobster in it. It was dry and the cheese was delicious but after while it was chewy. 10 minutes for her to bring the requested items just for her to come back having forgot one that I had asked for twice. I wouldn’t recommend this spot at all.

Decided to dine in for a birthday dinner with a party of 4. The waitress came to the table to introduce herself, but she seemed a little stressed or worried, hence the 4 stars. I understand we all go through things, but emotions should not be present in a professional environment. By the end of the dining experience she did have a change in mood, but it should have been that way from start. On the other hand, The food was really good and was hot upon arrival to the table. The drinks were also really good. I received complaints about the chargrilled oysters being a little too small, but the taste was good. Like many other reviews, the asparagus was really good. It complimented the steak really well. The drizzle sauce has a nice kick to it which enhanced the flavor. The brussel sprouts were good as well. Overall the dining experience was really good with the exception of the aforementioned demeanor of the waitress. Once she changed her mood everything was quite pleasant. Finally, a big thank you for the birthday dessert. It was really good, and much appreciated. I would recommend the restaurant for your dining needs.

Google
Service was really slow but once the server came she was very pleasant , it wasn’t busy when we went. But steak was delicious! We will definitely return for dinner soon

Yelp
Went here with my dad for Father's Day and the steaks are cooked perfectly, however I did have to add salt and pepper. The salad and mushrooms were really good also, but again, I had to add salt and pepper. It makes sense because this is more of a tourist restaurant. I was not expecting the beignets to be soooooo good. They were soft and pillowy with that delicious caramel sauce. Service here is top tier, we were checked on consistently and given the beignets complimentary due to long wait and an item we ordered not being available. They took really good care of us for sure.

Yelp
The host was very nice and Hawaii. I appreciated her. The waitress was great and the steak was the best I ever had. I was trying to find out the spices used, but it was a secret. I recommend to go. It was very pricey But the food was delicious

Yelp
This is a nice low key steakhouse house located in the Ceasars casino. The atmosphere is nice with blue dog pictures all around adding to the local flare. The food was good but the service could have been better. I went on a Wednesday night and there was not enough wait staff for the amount of patrons. With that being said I will visit again.
google avatar

Yelp
We dined here to celebrate a friend's bday. Never knew this restaurant was tucked away back in the corner of the casino. Cute ambiance, service was on point and meal was OK.

Yelp
Location: At entrance of Caesar's. Note - can get a bit chilly due to proximity to main entrance in winter. Ambience: Steakhouse dark wood vibe. Food: Excellent all around. The wedge salad was like 1/2 a head of lettuce. The steak was huge and cooked to temp as ordered. The Brussels Sprouts were one of the best, crispy. The best item was the crab cakes, fresh and full of crabs with very little fillers. Would definitely eat here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Shrimp Alfredo is fresh and tasty, gumbo tastes good either, even though they are little bit overpriced.
google avatar

Joyce J.

Yelp
Nice date night ambiance - very dimly lit. No bread (at least not complimentary) - had to order it as a starter. We split a Caesar salad instead and it was plenty to share. The menu does not have a lot of choices outside of steak. Normally I would get a steak but was feeling the 1/2 chicken and it was good and came with whipped potatoes. Husband got the salmon and it was good as well. However we ordered the crab risotto and it was so salty we didn't enjoy it. A waste of $18 Service was good, but we ate really early (5:15) and were one of the first guests in. Still took almost 45 minutes for the food and we ordered pretty soon after seating. We thought it was a little too pricey for what we got, but food was decent.
google avatar

Andrea J.

Yelp
This place was "ok" and that's about it. I don't feel the prices were good value for the money. And the menu did not have very many selections. We actually just ate a couple of appetizers and left because the menu was not expansive enough. We were interested in spending ~$200 for food really didn't want. Now, my husband did enjoy the oysters and my gumbo was good (but could have been meatier). But again, this place is not good value for the money and doesn't have enough options to choose from.
google avatar

Mary J.

Yelp
My husband ordered a pasta and shrimp entree and it was awful. The shrimp was overcooked and the pasta was undercooked. My Caesar salad was very good. The crab cake appetizer was so tiny , it was gone in 2-3 bites.
google avatar

Rebecca O.

Yelp
Ribeye.. very mediocre absolutely nothing to brag about.. steak Mac & cheese was a NOT good! Didn't think you could screw with Mac & cheese but you can. Drowned in fried onions. Broussel sprouts you have to be a fan already.. unimpressed by the whole meal. The tap water brought to table tasted like poisoned mop water should have been my sign to not order! Quilt wine is my favorite & i definitely don't think it was.. it was either opened to long.. or not Quilt. Waitress was friendly, she did bring bottle water and let management know about water. I did love the blue dogs.. but it's a restaurant in a casino I should have know better! Next time I'm doing the Lucky Dog!

Yelp
Repost as part of this party: We sat at a bar last Sunday evening, the service was terrible and we both got violently ill after eating a filet, crabcake, and BBQ shrimp. Two days later, we are still recuperating. We tried calling to inform them of the situation, got the runaround, and left a message. I would stay away from this restaurant. NEVER GO HERE!!!!

David Ethan F.

Yelp
Slowest service I have ever experienced. I know this probably isn't on your list if you're coming to NOLA, but go ahead and don't consider it.

Yelp
Another disappointment inside harrahs casino. We had a reservation so we were seated upon arrival. We sat there for 15 minute and no one came to greet us and they weren't even busy. Maybe 1-2 tables per server. My partner and I decided to move to the bar and we were greeted immediately and got waters pretty quickly. We ordered charbroiled oysters, lobster, risotto and bourbon crawfish sauce steak. The oysters and lobster was okay. The risotto was super oily. Our steak was so salty that we had to send it back and have them not season it. The service was okay. We did have to flag her down for the steak and a few other times. She didn't really check on us because she was too busy talking and laughing. I wouldn't visit again. I only went because I had a folio comp on my room. Id rather go outside the casino and at a different restaurant.

Yelp
Ruby made our night! She took such excellent care of us - from appetizers to drinks all the way thru to dessert - she should be running this place (and probably will be). We were not in a hurry and wanted a relaxing dinner. Ruby kept the pace slow and made sure to check on us, did not rush us, but kept our evening moving along. Steaks were outstanding! Hubby and I both ordered the prime rib - his was medium rare and mine was medium, we loved the onions & butter as well as the seasoning. We relaxed, talked, ate and drank, and had room for dessert. Thank you Ruby - we'll be back!!!

Yelp
Do not eat here. Overdue review from November 2024. Worst steakhouse I've ever been to. Had to send both steaks back. Way overpriced, especially if they can't cook the steaks properly. Dark and old looking inside. No complimentary bread service. If you're staying on property, go to Dickie Brennan's steakhouse a couple of blocks away. Way worth the trip. Beautiful ambiance with awesome service and food. And better prices! Found out afterwards, that I can use my Caesars points at Dickie Brennan's.

Esmeralda G.

Yelp
$70 for a steak and all you get is the steak- no sides! plus it was tough. The shrimp scampi for $38 was nasty very gooey definitely would recommend spending your money elsewhere

Diane C.

Yelp
Excellent service, delicious wedge salad, fabulous steak, sauces, twice baked potato and Brussels sprouts. Will dine here again before we leave town. Can't wait to try other menu items! Lovely ambiance where the staff makes you feel welcome and appreciated! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Used to love eating here when it was Besh Steakhouse...my husband said it was his favorite meal of all time. That was then, this is now. John Besh is long gone and it shows. Food was downright boring. And expensive. The only highlight is it looks the same...full of huge Blue Dog paintings. Next time maybe a drink at the bar, but I won't waste my appetite when there are so many wonderful restaurants in this town. Sorry Harrahs. It was a flop.
google avatar

Omar S.

Yelp
Prior to John Besh's ignominious exit from what was then called, simply, "Besh," the fine-dining restaurant at Harrah's New Orleans was, for years, a close by and reliable venue when I wanted to bring my NOLA friends together near my hotel and I hadn't rented a car, or when we all planned to gamble after our meal. Its kitchen served excellent steaks and sides and its service was cordial and unobtrusive (but for one waiter who eventually lost his job for imposing on guests like he was everybody's buddy). Those days are gone. Now, The Steakhouse sells food of middling quality and inconsistent preparation, and its service reflects that decline. As one orders, it helps to imagine a high school lunchroom serving expensive steaks and fancy potatoes, so as to realistically manage one's expectations. I'd be more disappointed, but there are several wonderful alternatives in the city, near enough to where I stay to be convenient. I'm a particular fan of Mr. John's, Charlie's and Crescent City Steaks. Is The Steakhouse the worst such place in town? No, of course not, at least, not for as long as there's an Outback or a Texas Roadhouse somewhere in the Greater New Orleans area. And, for what it's worth, The Steakhouse gets points for truth in advertising. It is, indeed, a steakhouse.

Yelp
Reservation Mar. 23,2023 (Thur) @ 5pm: I was disappointing because there were construction going on beside the restaurant, it was loud and they don't have a door. I felt as the debris dust is going in the restaurant. Service was ok could've been better. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad ($10.99) and 16oz.ribeye steak ($64.99) I had tasted better steaks and a side of asparagus (12.99).

Tim M.

Yelp
We decided to try this place out for dinner on New Year's Eve. The ambiance was great. Typical casino restaurant space. Not overly crowded even though our reservation was at 7:45 PM. Service unfortunately seemed pretty slow, not that I was in a hurry it just seemed like they couldn't keep up. Long periods of time with nothing, I don't want to have to ask for more water. The food was very good, from the steaks to the sides, we had crab risotto and Brussel sprouts to share on top of our steaks. Overall I thought it was ok, but I would probably try someplace else before going back here.

Mike T.

Yelp
It's bad folks. K-Mart quality at Pentagon prices. To start, they charge for bread. What high end steak house charges for bread? I had then12oz NY Strip. Truly Outback steak would have been better. Menu says the steak comes with "broccolini". It showed up with three little broccoli tops that were cold and undercooked. Broccolini and broccoli are NOT the same. The steak was choice beef, without a doubt, not prime or better. Truly folks, many better choices nearby pass on this place.

Blue H.

Yelp
This Caesars Steakhouse was excellent. The location was convenient in the Casino. The Caesar salad was huge and perfect for sharing. We had the filet mignon and New York Strip, both were excellent and we loved the grill taste. The baked potato was a good compliment to the steaks. The service was terrific and very friendly despite a busy full restaurant. Good relaxing atmosphere for a break from the casino hustle. The beignets were a great way to end dinner. We plan to return.
google avatar

Shaula L.

Yelp
What a disappointment!!! The quality has significantly decrease while the prices went up. The food came out barely warm. The entres that we loved were not there and they charged us about $5 for bread...cause bread is now considered an appetizer. We order the charred grilled oysters... what can I say but never again... flavorless seemed more liked boiled rather than charred grill. Cocktails also a no go... All and all giving them 2 stars because the staff was really nice. But food wise and in a place like New Orleans there are much, MUCH better places to eat. This was not worth the calories or the price.

Yelp
happy father's day we had the most amazing dinner at @harrahsnola steakhouse. we enjoyed the: 12 oz blackened strip orleans 16 oz prime ribeye grilled asparagus twice baked loaded potato crab "risotto" i had a delicious french 75 our server ruby was a pleasure.

Sonia T.

Yelp
The server was phenomenal. The food was lacking. You would think that being one of Emeral's fine dining restaurants it would be fabulous. My Riley was overcooked after waiting 47 minutes for a medium rare. The manager came to our table to make excuses. I worked in Restaurants for 30 years and she tried to lie to me. She said it was because they were so busy. They were not that busy. The kitchen had messed up several times. This put them behind. I pay attention to everything. The absolute worst thing you can do is lie to me. The did comp my meal. I still felt cheated by the manager and the Chef. The server tried to compensate. She did everything she could to make our visit enjoyable. Not only was it slow, but 3 out of 4 of us are diabetic and we had our reservation scheduled to fit our diabetic schedule. Two of us had our sugars drop rapidly. If my sugar had dropped away more it would have became emergency status. Thank God I was carrying glucose in my purse this night. I did not; however, have enough for 3. The atmosphere was a little off because people were getting upset because shrimp was also taking 44 to 50 minutes from ordering to the table. It was ridiculous. I was very disappointed. Gordon Ramsey is an ass, but his food great and out on time. When my food finally came out and was right, it was good. It just took them twice to get it right and 47 minutes to get it out the first time, and by the time I finally got it it was 54 minutes. Not impressed

Yelp
I echo the experience that Lori shared from a month ago. Husband and I sat to eat. Restaurant half empty. Nice waitress. Twenty minutes for drinks. She returns several times to apologize for it. Nonetheless, she asks for our order before the drinks come. We decide on two appetizers to start. She advises that the kitchen requires the entire order to be put in at once. We advise her we are going to stick with just the appetizers in that case. She returns a few minutes later with the drinks and my husband asked to speak with the manager. He said-it's not fair to you to have to enforce a silly policy. She agreed. Moments later, the manager swoops in with about as an off putting attitude as you can imagine. Husband: sir, our drinks took a while and we wanted to get some food while we continued to look at the menu to order lots of food stuff. Manager: that's what the chef wants and I do as I'm told. Me: that's a piss poor response. This was followed by a full fledged meltdown tantrum on the part of the manager that ended in him running off and screaming "don't ever come back here again" as he fled. Five minutes later security arrives. Manager flagged him down and told him to remove us from the premises. We are in utter shock. We get up to leave and discuss with the security agent (after we tip the waitress $120 in cash for the hell she must endure working under this yahoo). We discuss the matter with security. He was brilliant and in utter disbelief that we were requested to be removed. He asked us to actually stay, and it ended with hugging and thanking him for his empathy. Caesar's-you need to act. This manager is a liability. Unless you're working a college bar that has frequent wet T-shirts contests, it's not normal to have to threaten to kick people out twice in one month.

Yelp
Made reservations for my wedding anniversary here and it was a great experience overall! The server did not disappoint! She even went the extra mile to place my husband and I in a more intimate setting within the restaurant. The ambiance was top tier as you can enjoy the artwork of George Rodrigue. The food was delicious, but my steak was a bit undercooked. Still a great place. Must try!
google avatar

Syreeta H.

Yelp
Food was not bad. Overpriced by A LOT but not bad tasting. Ambiance was an open restaurant in a casino so it felt like food court Energy. The server was so bad, nasty disposition, slow, terrible facial expression and seemed annoyed to serve us.

D K.

Yelp
Ordered a medium rare filet I would try to be nice and say it was medium. (Really medium well). Actually considered sending it back it was so egregious. But of course our waitress disappeared as well. I would have given them an even lower rating but the steak really was tender and tasty. Sad they abused it so much. I would just say not to come unless you are using comp points because if you paid cash you would be mad!!!

Jessica M.

Yelp
I was deceived by the customized banner advertising a scrumptious steak at The "Steakhouse"! I know - it was probably plastic but who knew you could go wrong ordering steak at a steakhouse. Well .... Two stars is for the bartender and the drink. I don't even know what to say - other than look at the pictures and if you're daring you'll have to go and give it a try for yourself. Maybe it was just the wrong time of day .... Good luck!

Yelp
I got to say it was the worst steak I ever had that includes non steakhouse First things for the price it was to thin. Then the fat content was way too much. It was Inedible. And finally the salt level. I understand that salt is used a lot down in the big easy but the salt over took the flavor of the steak. Should not happen at a "steakhouse" on a good note the service was good and decor comfortable.

Jeffrey T.

Yelp
The Worst experience. After ordering and waiting 2 hours and no food in sight we walked out. Dismal service was exceeded only by the even more dismal ambiance--dark and dirty. Avoid at all costs. I would leave 0 stars if that was an option

Christina P.

Yelp
My husband and I had reservations for 630pm for our anniversary. I desperately wanted steak and a bottle of wine to enjoy our night and heard the food was amazing! Unfortunately we were not able to try the food or even the wine. I waited a hour to finally get a glass of water. I then repeatedly ask my waiter and EVEN the manager for a wine list. Finally received one after a hour and a half but I never had anyone ever come back and take my order for the wine. After waiting another 15 minutes, I made a fuss and finally had the waitress come over but was greeted with ATTITUDE! I explained i just wanted to order some wine at least since it has been almost 2 hours and she snapped at me and said ,"well, I can't come when you demand. I have 15 tables i am working." After waiting for almost 2 hours and only receiving water and the waitress snapping my head off, I left. This was literally the worst restaurant experience ever and on my anniversary night! I wanted to cry when I left. NEVER will go back again and will read the reviews next time.

Yelp
The place is unassuming sitting off on a corner of Harrah's Casino. But don't keep walking by this little gem. We sat at the bar with Mark. He provided excellent service and recommendations. The bbq shrimp was scrumptious! It's deveined and blackened. Served in a perfectly balanced and well-seasoned "bbq" gravy with chimichurri charbroiled crunchy bread to dip. The sauce was so good I had to order more bread and was looking for something else to dip in the left over sauce! My husband got the pork chops. They were delicious too. Especially with that bbq gravy . Not surprised it's so good since it's John Besh's recipe. Ok enough about that sauce. The root vegetable purée served with chops was a nice accompaniment. I wouldn't order the "risotto" again. It was orzo pasta. Definitely going back for the bbq shrimp dish. Go get it!

Yelp
Wonderful dinner last night here with the family! Our server Tasha (Natasha) was the best and she was warm and full of humor and that southern charm we looked forward to being our first time in NOLA. No issues redeeming my Seven Stars casino rewards here. We enjoyed all our steaks from the prime rib, Strip, Filet and blackened steak. Char grilled oysters was the bomb and we all loved the BBQ shrimp! Will come again!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Great atmostphere. Ruby our waitress was amazing and attentive. Food was delicious, good portions, and tasty. The carrot cake dessert is the best I have ever had. Highly recommend, for large parties, romantic dinners or just girls night eats. 10 out of 5. Also, a big thank you the chef and all wait staff, they all made the 8 of us ladies have an amazing dinner. Thank you Mike!!!!

Yelp
Grey Goose martini, straight up, with a twist and...some food...tartare of filet mignon with caviar, creme fraiche and seafood stuffed baked oysters. Service was great, food was fantastic and the martini was perfect. They've stepped it up!

Randi N.

Yelp
We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed and finished everything. We will be returning shorly and will be dining there again.

Yelp
Everything that I ordered was mediocre. The best thing was a side item, the garlic mashed potato. It was mashed into a purée like it was mentioned. The risotto was kind of salty and it wasn't mushy enough to my liking. The lobster mac n cheese was nothing special. There was barely any lobster meat, or if any at all. I would also like to suggest on using a different type of pasta instead. Penne/tube-like pasta just didn't taste right. It could not hold the sauce, "meat", and cheese together. The porterhouse steak was medium rare, but I find it kind of dried on certain slices. Bigger steak doesn't mean it will be better. I should have just gone with the smaller cut. Honestly, for how much I've spent, I would rather go to Doris or another steakhouse. Edit: So I ate the leftover Mac n cheese and found some pieces of lobsters. Probably still wouldn't go back though.

Yelp
My sister in-law wanted her birthday dinner to coincide with "Feeling BLUE my twenties are through" theme that offered a fun atmosphere to celebrate with family and friends. Besh is a CASINO steakhouse with casual-business-semi-formal attire, moderate to noisy noise level, and expensive wine and foods. Tip 1: Children are not permitted. 21 and older and bring a valid photo ID. Tip 2: You will not be seated until your entire party arrives. Tip 3: The restrooms are not located inside of the restaurant but in the casino area. Tip 4: Reservations are preferred especially for large parties. Tip 5: Offers valet parking. We had a pre-set menu $75.00 per person for our party of sixteen that included: * rating below -House made Natchitoches Meat Pies with buttermilk ranch dressing *** -Crispy fried Oysters *** -Besh Barbecue Shrimp **** Entree -Pan fried Catfish *** Topped with shrimp, crab, asparagus, whipped bernaise OR -14oz. Prime Rib with fries **** Dessert Brenden's Bread Pudding **** I am not a huge fan of fried food so I sampled the meat pies, fried oysters, and barbecue shrimp and they were flavorful. I should have known better than to order anything but steak at a steakhouse. The pan fried catfish was good but had too much going on for my taste. I would have preferred it alone and the toppings on the side. I did have some of my brother's Prime Rib cooked medium well and it was delicious- tender and juicy. The Brenden Bread Pudding was absolutely delicious especially if you love pecans. Our server Anthony was friendly and attended to our table as needed. We ended dinner with singing Happy Birthday and indulging in her custom made Blue Dog birthday cake. The chef was gracious enough to slice the cake as many of us were full and took it to go. Overall for the price I have had better food but it was a good experience to try at least once. Support local business! NOLA

Yelp
The absolute slowest rare steak I ever had. Im not sure if the steak was aged but we sure were by the end.

Yelp
We don't mind paying for expensive food, but the food did not match the prices. $65 thin ribeye with no side...additional mushroom topping $18+. Of course, a la carte sides. Typical of these high level restaurants. The twice-baked loaded baked potato my husband and I shared. It was nothing special. The bbq shrimp app was not your typical New Orleans style bbq shrimp. It was a dark rich sauce of sweet soy, but was tasty. The toast was a bit burnt. No before dinner bread served, which we would have expected. Both the ribeye and filet, although pricey, did have good flavor. My filet my have been a bit too salty for my taste, however. We did add a side shrimp scampi ($21.99) as another addition to the steaks and that was surprisingly bland. We just really were not overwhelming happy with the quality of food compared to the price. Total bill for two people was $217 without tip. We only had one beer and an iced tea for beverages. It wasn't terrible. Just not the caliber of food we were expecting.

Yelp
Worst steakhouse ever, can't believe this place is still open. We ordered a lot of dishes, none of them were good! The place were bad and "does not even provide bread"--a couple at the elevator with us shared their opinion. At the door, the host gave us eyeballs--"don't have reservations", even we don't require to have a reservations based on our status, . When we finally got seated, found the whole restaurant , only 20% of the tables were occupied.

Yelp
Horrible! The restaurant sits eerily in a dark corner of a fully renovated, modernized casino like it's hiding. The decor is 70-ish. The waiter was courteous, but the food was way over priced and absolutely horrible. My wife had a $30 bowl of lettuce posing as a salad, and I had a $60 burnt filet with an over cooked bake potato. It was the worst Christmas dinner I've ever had. Our final bill was $160. We were robbed!!!!!! Be ware!!!!! Stay away from this place!!!!!!

Yelp
There are literally thousands of places to eat in New Orleans, why go to a steakhouse in a casino? Because the food and service is exceptional! Everything we ordered was perfect. The bread they start you off with is delicious too. Our main entrees - the filet and the blackfin tuna were AMAZING but there were two standout dishes we will never forget, the crab and corn "risotto" made with orzo and the cheesecake. The risotto was so memorable that we went back on another night to have it again at the bar with a few drinks and a crabcake (also terrific). The cheesecake is so hard to describe. We've all had cheesecake, but not this one. It was SO creamy but still had a substantial mouth feel. I wish I could describe it better but I promise you, you will never forget it if you order it. Service is spot on, too. Don't miss this spot.

Yelp
Mediocre experience. Had friends come in from out of town and this was pretty much one of the only steakhouses in Nola that wasn't booked up. No one was impressed. Steak didn't really have flavor. We had a party of 6 so tip was included which we thought was annoying. 6 is not a lot of people to keep up with. I can understand 10 but not 6. Because tip was included, our waitress didn't really give us the time of day. No refill on my drink so I had to eat my steak without a drink. And then had no choice but to give her a great tip. If you're visiting from out of town go to dickie Brennan's or mr. John's
