I was expecting a great experience, maybe that's where I went wrong. The rates happened to be only a little more as other nice hotels in town, so we tried it thinking it would be more upscale. It wasn't, beds are average hotel beds, rooms are clean but not looking as fresh as they should, there was nothing complementary and no regular coffee in the room, only decaf! When I went to the desk to ask for a regular K-cup the man just said sorry, he checked when he got in last night (it was now 6am) and there were none. I got the impression this was a known issue - even though easily solvable since K-cups are sold everywhere! The cafe didn't open for an hour and my kids were sleeping upstairs so it was a caffeine-less morning unfortunately !

My boyfriend surprised me with an overnight stay here for our 1 year anniversary. We had an amazing time. We had a corner suite on the 4th floor, absolutely beautiful!! You really get a sense of the history of the building with their rustic and vintage decor. Staff were extremely friendly and hospitable, even our server Gabby at their restaurant was great. And speaking of their restaurant, wow! I had the prime rib which was perfection, my bf had the filet, drinks were great. I am so happy with our stay there and will definitely be back again!

Google
I will say right away this is a nice hotel. Cool old refurbished building, nice rooms, well done. The issue, and the reason for 3 stars, is it's a popular venue for weddings and full of loud drunks late into the night. It's insanely noisy with people yelling up and down the halls and pounding on doors. I'm guessing it's better during the week. For what is a pricey hotel in a place that's not exactly a huge draw, they need to do better. That's why I gave it 3 stars, and likely would not stay here again.

Google
The Stella is a beautiful place to stay. Very friendly staff and very clean and modern rooms. The price is decent and the location is great. The rooftop bar is a blast. I will definitely stay there again.

Google
I had the pleasure of visiting this boutique hotel…. And oh my it’s any experience I’d never forget. The outside gives me chapel vibes. I guess that’s why everyone that’s getting married comes here for an after party. The furniture they have will make you feel like a King or Queen. Such a beautiful place to be.

Google
Stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend! I loved this place! The rooms were nice and the AC worked great. The beds were pretty comfortable. The best part of this place was the bar… the drinks were phenomenal! The bar tenders were incredibly nice and welcoming!

Google
Staff was really nice. The location was great, within walking distance to many museums, restaurants, and shops. The room itself was spotless, with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area. Five stars/circle things and can't wait to come back!

Google
The Stella Hotel and Ballroom is a lovely place to stay in Kenosha. It’s located just a few blocks walk to Lake Michigan, museums, sightseeing, shopping, and many food and beverage options. The hotel has free street parking, but also has a public parking garage across the street. The room was spacious and well appointed. The hotel has a historic feel to it. The rec room was a hit with our kids. The fitness room was adequate to get a light workout in. The attached restaurant had good food, but the pricing and service didn’t seem to match up.

Danny B.

Yelp
Went there for their Friday fish fry. Had their combo platter. Perch, scallops, shrimp and cod with hush puppies. All done very well. Great old restaurant charm.

D C.

Yelp
Beautiful building. The customer service was mediocre. Rooms are standard for the price you pay. Beds are comfortable and not too hard or soft. The bathroom seems clean. However, the room was not very sound proof. Difficult to sleep when you can hear your neighbor and the traffic coming from outside.

Douglas K.

Yelp
We stayed here as it was within walking distance to our event in Kenosha. The building is aesthetically pleasing and has a nice charm. The room we stayed in was nice and comfortable. The issue we had was that when I went to shower at night after our event, there was zero hot water. Not like oh slightly uncomfortable temp but get through it shower, cold water. I called the front desk after having to plug the phone in and let them know. The employee at the desk said that they were aware as others had complained from our side of the hotel prior to my call. I asked that it be noted on my account for check out. When we checked out this morning the staff essentially said that maintenance was made aware. No compensation or partial refund offer, nothing. Was impressed by the building and room, not with the customer service of the staff.

Lynne W.

Yelp
It is gorgeous first of all. The rooms are absolutely awesome. It is close to walking downtown Kenosha and across the street from a delicious ice cream store...

Carter W.

Yelp
Horrible. Every piece of fabric from bedding to towel was stiff and starchy. Hard and cloudy water to the room so showers left mineral residue and couldn't make coffee with the nasty cloudy tap water. Rooms were not sound tight at all so every word or sound made in another room could be heard. And if the actual experience wasn't bad enough, I had a taxi picking me up an hour after checkout. Decided to wait in the cafe area for it and the manager called security to throw me out. What a fucking joke.

Eric B.

Yelp
They have had a hot water (lack of) for some time. This was our 3rd try. Reception desk said they don't know what the problem is. We are sorry. Otherwise it's a very nice place.

Sarahí M.

Yelp
For an "upscale" boutique hotel this place fails in most areas. Right off the gate, their customer service lacks exactly what its job is: service and courtesy. It's always been hit or miss since it opened. Part of the staff is nice and helpful, others act as if they're running the Ritz and you're homeless asking for a free room. You may get help or answers to your question, you may not at all. A couple of years ago, I inquired about a wedding package and it took weeks for a reply and once again, it came with a rude tone. I took my wedding elsewhere and had a wonderful experience. Someone else got married there and booking a room for the event was the most unpleasant thing we had to do. The system was down (seems it always is), I was asked to call back, they would not take my name or try to find a solution. The restaurant like everything is also a hit or miss. Some food items are great, others are not. You will have dishes that are too salty, completely bland or too sweet. There is no ambience, its a mix of t-shirts, polos, and dressy attire but generally speaking, that seems to the case for the whole place. I gave it one star for looks, and their prime rib.

Adam B.

Yelp
I would leave 0 stars if I could. Check in was alright. We asked about an upgrade because we were celebrating our anniversary and were told none were available as they were sold out. Ok not a big deal. I was looking at their website later in the night to see what type of rooms they had because my wife made the reservation. Strange for being sold out they had many upgraded rooms I could reserve on their website for the same night. We left for dinner and came back around 9:30-9:45. We asked for some extra bedding at the front desk and was SHOCKED at the answer. I was told I couldn't get anything because we were checking out the next morning. They say they are full service? I get better service from budget hotels. To top it all off the next morning there was no hot water for showers. I do not recommend this hotel.

Tammy P.

Yelp
I ate here for the first time. It was really good. I met my girlfriends there. We enjoyed our time there. Our server was very nice and we got excellent service and food. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Lou R.

Yelp
A magnificent hotel from the Age of Culture and Gentility, and yet reasonably priced.

Alan C.

Yelp
Always a great place to stay when we get to Kenosha. Rooms are nice. One of the cleanest rooms of the hotels we stay at. Have not tried the restaurant yet, so can't comment. Plenty of great restaurants in the area.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Spectacular beauty in a wonderful location. We unpacked and walked to Capt Mike's for a burger of all burgers. Then walked by the waterfront. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise with great views and cocktails. Staff was friendly and it was large enough to spread out and see the city from 2 sides. We chose a basic king room and it was a perfect size with all the amenities including mini fridge and coffee maker. The exterior and interior are beautiful and maintained the history of the building. The little cafe was nice but only got water and chips. The pillows were definitely not my fav. Not soft and fluffy. I wish they sold swag with the building on it and not just the hotel logo. The building Sells not the name. Will definitely stay again.

Nicole F.

Yelp
If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I would! When did Kenosha get so classy? This hotel was gorgeous and CLEAN. SO CLEAN. I instantly felt at home. We used to live in Kenosha and knew this building as the Heritage House when it was rundown. Since moving away, they have done a beautiful job restoring this building. The decor was swanky and classy. Everything was so clean. We booked a double queen room. The beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge that we used for leftovers (Valeo's!!). There was also a desk that my husband was able to use for working remotely. The black out curtains on the window were legit. The room was very dark at night and into the morning. Also, the ceilings were concrete which made the room SUPER quiet!! That part was also a relief because we have a toddler and his stomping around was not loud in this hotel. Amazing! The staff was always very friendly on our way in and out of the building each day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!!

Z Z.

Yelp
Great stay! Everything you need in one spot. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Will stay again!

Thomas Z.

Yelp
Went there for the first time for dinner. First of all. one heck of renovation. the hotel is beautiful. unfortunately the restaurant was a little less beautiful. my friend ordered the chicken cordon blue. the dish was un edible. the puff pastry was so thick that the chicken was way over cooked. and it never came with the mornay sauce. I ordered the lake perch. but got a walleye or a cod or something. totally missed the boat on that one. But I will say it was delicious but not what I had ordered. So it was very disappointing Night. We had high hopes. But it was not to be. the staff was good. Thank you to Gus. Good waiter.

Rhonda F.

Yelp
Oh Stella I want to make you my home. I could seriously live in one of the 4th floor suites in the original building and be perfectly happy. As you walk through the door into the lobby, the nostalgic history can be felt everywhere. The quaint front desk, adorable gift shop and unique decor welcomes you instantly. This is not your average hotel. Boutique in size and style, I felt welcome and excited to be there. The front office staff could not be more kind. The entire team is sweet and personable yet professional. Making reservations, check in and questions are all handled so smoothly. As a return guest, some of the staff even remembered me. Both times I have stayed in a one bedroom suite. There is a nice living room, cute kitchen, spacious bathroom and giant bedroom. The huge bed is suitable for the size of the room. Both times my suite faced east toward downtown and Lake Michigan, which afforded me gorgeous sunrises. Everything is in perfect order, exceptionally clean and classically stylish. There are adorable quirky touches that make your stay a little sweeter. The red refrigerator and microwave, the bedroom pillow that says I Love Naps and the bathroom rug that says Get Naked add a little whimsy. The bar and restaurant offer excellent options and the breakfast cafe is a perfect place to grab a latte to sip on the grand front porch. I also had a quick nightcap up at Crow's Nest rooftop bar. I attended an event at the hotel also and was very pleased. Every detail was attended to. The ballroom is grand and gorgeous! My impression is that the management is doing an amazing job. The staff and property are a true reflection their hard work and defication. Bravo!

Will W.

Yelp
Super nice clean and elegant hotel in downtown. Staff is great and they have a nice cafe. Rooms are super clean and comfy. Be sure to check out scoops next door for ice cream.

Summer M.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful hotel and restaurant! I loved visiting The Stella for the first time tonight. Greeted by smiling faces and helpful hosts. We explored the hotel and cafe (so many options in the cafe, and open to the public!). The ballroom was so gorgeous it made me want to get married all over again just to have a reception there! Chef Robert did a fabulous job on the menu, and the food is absolutely delightful. If you are just stoping through, this is *the* place to stay in Kenosha! The prices are great, the staff is super friendly, the location is superb, and you will love your stay!

Yelp
Went for the fish fry and was instantly surprised by a couple of things. First being that for the ambiance, I didn't understand exactly what the resturaunt thought it was. There were people there in shorts and t shirts but then some people for some reason were dressed up. I've personally never understood the need for a special outfit to eat food, but I can appreciate there are four star resturaunt where this is the decorum, and a four star resturaunt this was not. I mean, they have burgers on their menu for goodness sakes. The fish fry was okay at best, there's definitely better in town. Not sure why a hotel bar would be charging $40 for a small steak when I can go to Texas road house and eat like a king for half the price. No one loved their meal at our table of six with the exception of face reviews about the French onion soup. Otherwise it was a pretty universal "take it or leave it" feeling. I guess it's worth trying but the prices aren't justified by the decor, ambiance or food quality. This is only a review for the restaurant, I've never stayed in the hotel

Dan A.

Yelp
Scallops at The Stella were outstanding. They were really good. Had salad with delicious homemade thousand island. My wife and Kris had salads which were both good. Very nice decor and prompt helpful service. Was nice to look around. I worked in the building when it was Elks in the early '80's. Creme brûlée' was tasty. I'd come back.

Lauren R.

Yelp
This hotel was beautiful, the rooms were newly updated, super clean and comfortable. We loved the rooftop bar! The only reason that I did not give this a 5 star was because there is no way to get sleep if there is a wedding the same night. My husband and I booked a Heritage Suite on the fourth floor and the floor is literally vibrating from the music from two floors down. I would recommend some soundproofing!

James S.

Yelp
Stayed one night 5/6/23 For wedding. Brides mother had block reserved. Went there weeks before to see suites, since that was reserved. Manager showed me suite. We told them who the reservations were for. Told them when we arrived, brides mother transferred suite to our name. Was a plain room not what we had been shown. They didn't care. Said anything in thatwing was a suite. Nobody listens nor cares. Hvac was overhead, wouldn't adjust froze our but off. Next to elevator, heard that all night. Spoke with different people waste of time. Left complaint on their website. They said someone would contact me, they never did. Finally called day manager, who was person showing suite. Told him i expected some money back. Said he would confer with gm. Never heard from him. Don't stay here. No recourse with issues. Worst night ever.

George C.

Yelp
Worst staff and stay I've ever experienced. Not only was the room a disappointment but I could hear arguing between staff members in the main entryway. Very unprofessional and just not a great experience as a boutique hotel. Do not recommend.

Small Town B.

Yelp
All looks no substance. First room we entered had no heat. Second room was not much better and couldn't get hot water without running the sink and the shower for several minutes. The link to order breakfast online was non-functional on the website. The cafe employee was beyond smarmy on the phone and screwed up half of the order. This was a business trip and this hotel is listed on our company's "approved" list. I will be doing my best to have this one removed.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
I booked my parents a room here when they came to visit this past weekend. They both said they loved it and will be staying there again on future visits! They said the decor was lovely, everything was very clean, and the service was fantastic! They also mentioned how nice it was that you needed a room key to get to certain floors on the elevator and the nice locks on the rooms. Overall it seems they had a great experience here and I am so glad!

Tyler G.

Yelp
I arrived at 1:30am on a Sunday and asked where I could possibly grab anything to eat. The front desk man told me a few places without looking up from his computer. I drove to all of them and all were closed. He gave me brochere after brochure while also not looking up from his computer, but no one answered. On my 5th trip through the lobby, I noticed a fridge with salads, parfaits, etc. I noted it and the man at the front desk seemed to immediately remember his job. "Oh yeah, there's food in there". This disappointed me but I slept well. A day later, Damien (he made sure to notify he was the manager) and Rochelle found it strange that I might ask for a USB charger or anyway to charge my phone for at least an hour since it was late at night and I needed some assistance. It appeared like they have never been asked that before, which baffles me since us humans use it for a majority of our electronics... Every decent hotel I've ever asked for a toothbrush, a shaver, etc. has accommodated or at least told me how to get it. I was just given a solid 10 second stare and little response. I would understand this if I was paying for a Motel 6, but I'm staying at a historic property that should have the most minimum standards at the very least. The next morning I asked about their "Matcha Water" on the menu and the young lady knew nothing about it. I've never heard of a Matcha Water before. Their parking situation is saddening (they don't have parking but borrow it from other lots that they don't seem too sure about... Maybe th church nextdoor or maybe the lot across the street but definitely not close to the hotel...) Seems like the money was spent on the "decor" in the entry lobby and none of it was spent elsewhere. A huge "plus": No fart fan in the bathroom either... This is at best a Motel 6 that is trying to be a Ritz but they don't understand convenience or quality. I'd prefer a low end place that knows what they are doing.

Amber B.

Yelp
We recently booked a stay at the Stella while visiting friends in town. The room was fine, It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The price point was right for a very standard room. The real issue was the food. Our first impression of the hotel was so nice we decided to ask our family to breakfast the next morning at the hotel, huge mistake. Continental free breakfast at our other hotel stays way exceeds what we experienced here. We should have known better when they had openings 12 hour notice. They had a waffle maker for you to make your own and an omelette guy making one at a time; the only two edible things in the room. Then there was eggs, fruit, hash browns, bacon and sausage; terribly cooked. The eggs looked like a powder mixture and we actually bit into a sausage that was not cooked and raw, only the outside browned. Breakfast is pretty hard to screw up and everything was almost inedible. Really disappointed for the price we paid we could have taken the family to anywhere else in town for half the price. I would never recommend eating there. For $25 a person and a added cost of drinks i expected more.

Ann S.

Yelp
So, it wasn't supposed to start snowing until 5. At 3:30 on my way back from Chicago it was coming down convincingly. After 3 hours on the road, it became apparent that it wasn't easing up. And Kenosha was close. We checked for hotels in the area and were lucky to find The Stella. An incredibly cute boutique hotel that is VERY reasonable. We enjoyed wine in the bar and the beds were tres comfy. The cafe was a welcome sight in the morn before we left to dig out and get back on the road.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Very beautiful and the staff were really nice. The ac controls were a little confusing

Jane P.

Yelp
Omg the stafff were amazing Brandon one of the managers there made us feel like home and treated us like royalty. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked our anniversary for November . The food at the cafe and the 1844 table and mash was out of this world and the bar was absolutely fun and out so standing we are looking forward to our next stay can't wait to go back again

Salena A.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms. It was set up nicely. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean. I stayed overnight in room 114. The only thing I would request next time would be to stay on a higher floor to have a better view from the window. Room 114 looks out into an alley. I would definitely stay here again though and recommended it to anyone visiting the Kenosha area.

Leeann N.

Yelp
Worst food ever. We held an event there recently and never again. This is not a place to bring business guests. The servers were MIA most of the night. We served ourselves at the bar. The salad was fine but the steak was inedible. Tough and extremely salty with a nasty sauce on it. No dinner rolls. Dessert and coffee only after a very long wait so most of the guests had left. The dessert was bitesize. Will never do business here again.

Yelp
I've never given a review on yelp before and never typically complain about things like this. . . but. . . I understand that covid has been tough on the hospitality industry and that jobs like housekeeping are hard to fill these days - but I don't even know if that was their problem. It just seemed like it to me. I've stayed at the Stella three times before (maybe 2? or 4?) and loved it each time. I found it clean and comfortable and looked forward to this most recent night there too. I hadn't planned on staying in Kenosha so it was a last-minute booking through expedia. I got to my room late and was tired so I didn't call the front desk to complain at the time - but was really unhappy to find that my sheets had obviously not been changed. I have photos to show what I found besides wrinkled sheets where people had laid - including a piece of a chip, a few black spots of whatever (junk from the floor?) and something that resembled a dried up bug or something from someone's nose. So gross. I swept them off the bed and proceeded to go to sleep without calling the desk because I was exhausted. The next day when I left I mentioned my disappointment to the front desk and showed them the pictures and they said sorry, and that they'd tell Housekeeping. Honestly, I expected maybe a discount on the room or even a free breakfast or SOME kind of refund to show that it was an issue they took seriously. When I got home I realized that I'd left a nice Sharper Image phone charger with extra outlets - plus two lightning cords plugged in next to my bed. I hoped that as a courtesy for having dirty sheets perhaps they could mail it to me. They said they would have Housekeeping give me a call if they found it. I don't know how they could not - since it was on the table right next to the bed - but I never heard back. I feel terrible about giving a bad review because I know it may not reflect the overall state of a business - but I gave the hotel the opportunity to remedy two situations that you'd expect service from in the hospitality industry - and received none. There is plenty of competition for hotels in Kenosha and as much as I loved the Stella in the past, I'm not going to spend money there again. Sorry!

Aaron L.

Yelp
We had a funeral luncheon and we were told we could only do a pasta bar, which we were ok with because it was a short notice. The problem lies with the quality. Over 25% of the dishes and silverware were dirty. The meatballs were dry and the food overall was subpar. Then I got several complaints that the bar tender was rude. I didn't personally experience that but there was more then one person who told me he had an attitude. For the cost of the service I will not be going back or recommend it to anyone else.

Ramona M.

Yelp
A little slice of elegance in Kenosha. Totally "Alice n Wonderland" furniture in the lobby. You can't not sit in one of the chairs. Super friendly staff, great rooms. Love the veranda out front to enjoy the evening.

Beth T.

Yelp
Wow, looking for a nice place to eat and we found it. This place is new and bright! What a beautiful job decorating-very comfortable! We decided to stay for dinner - started with the cheese curds, just fried cheese - okay, but not my thing. We ordered Walleye and the Stella burger - I ordered my burger medium, and though it came well done, it was still delicious! The marble potatoes were tiny marble size potatoes; a bit under done and over seasoned, but still delicious too. Try the TLC drink from the bar - very refreshing! All the staff was so nice - Kim was excellent. Kenosha needs this type of place, so nice to see!

Greg H.

Yelp
So much for the third time is a charm.... my wife and I decided to go to the Stella Hotel for a few cocktails and dinner. We had been there two others times which offered a very nice dining experience. Not so much this time, we waiting nearly 20 minutes to be served a less than generous Vodka pour - said to be a double? Need to step it up here big time, you are in the land of excellent Suppler clubs, Bartender seemed to be very new, when asked if this was considered a double he said yes... really. Several Bartenders milling around the garnish area, seriously lacking any Management supervision / training. Servers milling about making customer drinks for tables - where is the Management.... The bar has two very nice flat screen TV's prominently placed behind the bar for the patrons viewing pleasure, great idea. Where Stella Staff fell far short is airing Smack Power Series / Cage fights. Do you know your clientele? This would be expected at a dive bar, not The Stella. Had to ask them to change it three times with short abrupt responses that they would get to it when then can, proceeded to watch men bleeding on the screen, how is that for ambiance. Spoke with patrons next to us, who could not believe this was happening.... Proceeded to order dinner, which came out as a happy hour chicken breast on a small plate for me, and one cocktail shrimp for my wife, which was tossed to us over the bar. I explained that we ordered off the menu and this is not what we ordered. After another 30 minutes or so, we were finally served the correct / originally ordered meals. Food was very good. Thankfully we were there when Nolan came behind the bar, he quickly realized what a state of disarray the bar was in and promptly took the appropriate action to try to rectify an already bad dining experience. Love the look / atmosphere, but going to take a pass for sometime until they get their act together. Disappointed at Best.....

Andrew M.

Yelp
Our reservation was canceled by the hotel two hours before check-in by email. Didn't even have the courtesy to call. But I guess it was a blessing because we were able to avoid the shootout that took place two blocks away at 1:49 in the morning.

Sheila C.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great place to stay! We will definitely be back next time we are in Wisconsin!

Ni V.

Yelp
Original hotel at the Fairfield inn in Pleasant Prairie was overbooked, ENDED reroutedthe Stella Hotel and Ballroom. I am so glad that I had the privilege of staying here. Location: Just a few short blocks to great shops, restaurants, several parks, and the harbor, which has a beach and two lighthouses. Ascross the street is an adorable ice cream parlor with some really famtatic ice cream. Ambiance of Hotel: The game room tops any Ive ever seen with comfy chairs and oversized games such as scrabble, chess, monopoly, backyamon, connect four, and a big screen tv! I had so much fun playing these games with my daughter. There was a gym right next door which we didn't get to use but it looked fantastic. The décor of the hotel was Victorianish and so lovely. The hotel has a restaurant and bar which I didn't get to use however we did eat at the stella café each morning and the Avacado toast and smoothies are out of this world! I bought a mug and even got a free smoothie in it The room; Décor was modern, rustic, Victorian. Loved it! Beds were super comfy as were sheets and comforters and there were also black out shades! The customer service at the hotel was exceptional. I have nothing negative to say, my entire experience here was wonderful.

Angelika P.

Yelp
The staff is very rude. Don't waste your time here. We walked up five flights of stairs and they turned us back around saying to walk down to the first floor

Linzi F.

Yelp
I would drive to Kenosha just to stay here again. The hotel looks like a staged home decor store its sooo pretty. I felt taken back in time here. It was small boutique hotel which we loved.

Layne H.

Yelp
This hotel has the best decor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything is brand new and very clean. Staff is excellent. Definitely recommend!

Melissa A.

Yelp
Great potential, but not there yet. Charming decor and accommodating front desk. Room was nice, but the door was so hard to open (both from the inside and outside), that it almost seemed like a fire hazard to me. Mirrors needed in elevator areas. Bar seemed understaffed and stressed, resulting in slow service that bordered on rude. Glad I came, not sure I'll be back!

Nancy W.

Yelp
We stayed here and the room was clean, the staff was friendly. If I ever come back to the area I would definitely stay her again. It is worth every dime. Thank you for a great night's sleep.

Steve J.

Yelp
I think generally an experience at this hotel would be great. It's a nice building, very well kept, and the receptionists were very friendly. We decided at night that we wanted to book the same room for the next night, this time through the hotel and not through the website. The receptionists I spoke to before meeting the general manager said that it shouldn't be a problem, but that I would need to speak to the manager about it first. I spoke to him briefly, and although he came off as friendly at first, he basically said it wasn't possible, even though the room was vacant. He claimed it was for safety-related reasons, but that doesn't make sense because the only thing that made me feel unsafe was no longer having a place to stay in town. It began to rain outside and we had nowhere to go, so I went back down to see if we could work something out. The receptionist notified the manager that I wanted to speak to him before it was time to check out. He never got back to me, so we had to leave. On our way out, the manager was just on his phone sitting on a couch.

Yelp
What a great hotel! Lovely decor, friendly staff, and great in house dining. The location is convenient to the beach. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We booked over 50 rooms for a wedding party. We were told the bar would stay open until midnight. We were also told if we had a big enough group before midnight that the bar would stay open past closing. We showed up at 11:15 and the bar was closed. They claimed we never had the before discussion and that we would not be reimbursed for the lack of amenities that we were promised. They will lie, avoid this hotel at all costs.

Yelp
A friend and i went to have a drink and dinner. went to the bar. two other men in bar. took the female bartender almost 10 minutes to break herself away from the conversation she was having with them. asked for a martini menu- and regular menu. handed me a board and made no recommendations. stated no food till 500pm. (it was 450pm) walked away and took another 15 minutes to come back and take drink order. still no menu. a few other people walked in and she served them first. finally, came back took order and made drink. still no menu. left bar and came back 5 minute later walked by and handed menu. poor bartendress! lost my appetite. had shrimp appetizer. good. across hall a party going on. parents allowing their children running in lobby screaming, chasing each other around the circular bench. barely could hear my conversation with friend. asked the bartender if they could close the two doors or the party doors so the noise wouldn't reverberate through. my friend went and spoke with hostess. nothing done. Won't be back. Doesn't matter how pretty or good the food. Service and atmosphere is everything. Good luck Stella.
