The Stile Bridge

Had a great Sunday roast at the Stile Bridge. Felt the food more than merited the prices charged. Service was warm, friendly and helpful. Can highly recommend and will go again.

I visited last night from London. The Food was sensational. Menu was full Of tasty options. I had 3 courses. Scallops then the Halibut & Apple tart. Service was quick and friendly. If I could I would eat that every night!

We had a lovely evening. The staff were so friendly, and the service was excellent. We had decided to have a real treat and have a Tomahawk steak to share. The steak was cooked on a barbecue, and it was cooked to perfection. We were given extra jus in a small jug and it was served with a lovely salad and excellent double cooked chips. Thank you for a lovely evening. The atmosphere was also lovely, and the dining area had a lovely feel about it, tastefully decorated

One of the best steak I’ve had. Went on steak night £90 for Chateaubriand and glass of wine for two. Steak cooked to perfection. Good selection of sides. Only slight let down was the peppercorn sauce but the steak was so good it didn’t need a sauce. The pub was quite quiet when we visited and lack a bit of atmosphere also could have done with the heating being turned up. The rest of the food coming out from the kitchen also looked superb. High recommended.

My partner booked a table here to celebrate my birthday. We had an early booking, so we were one of the first to arrive. The restaurant was Festively decorated & the log burner was in full flow. The staff were friendly & very welcoming. Our food was beautifully cooked & presented. Fantastic value for money. We are soon to visit the "Poet", a sister restaurant & hope it will be as equally good. I would recommend booking a table here without hesitation.

What a fantastic find. The food was delicious from starters to dessert. The fillet for mains was particularly good. Bar and waiting staff are really friendly and we even got the chance to meet the chef, who talked us through what he was serving. We had the set meal, which was good value, and a few drinks - there's a lot of local stuff on (we had a local gin and a local ale). I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back.

Sometimes, the most unexpected places hold true gems, and this restaurant is a shining example. The food here is simply superb, and it's no surprise that they are featured in the Michelin Guide. Despite the restaurants unassuming exterior, don't let that deter you—the experience is absolutely worth it. The quality of the dishes and the culinary expertise showcased here far surpasses any initial judgments based on appearances. The staff are also very friendly. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure.

I'd been wanting to visit The Stile Bridge for some time; it was with some excitement that I saw how nearby a restaurant in the Michelin guide was. It did not disappoint. Beautifully cooked meat, with the best chips I've ever tasted - well seasoned throughout, crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The pork sirloin was delicious, the beef sirloin moreso. I will be back very eagerly. Lovely service as well, and some nice drinks offerings.
