What a fun food experience! First off, Shout out to Peyton, our server, for going above and beyond in making our dining experience special. He was so knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. Thanks again, Peyton. The food…so many choices and so hard to pick just one. I ended up getting the Chase Man’s Breakfast Burrito with the steak covered in queso. It was very tasty yet a bit dry which was remedied with more queso. My friend had the grilled bourbon salmon and loved it. The restaurant was a little loud but had a great family friendly feel to it. The place was huge but the service made it feel quaint. Will be back if ever in the area.

A very nice place for a quick lunch or dinner, typical cowboy style place with nice interiors and vibes. They service was pretty fast and the choice of food and drinks were too good. The portion sizes were quite large so you can have one main dish and will be very sufficient for lunch. We did not need reservation considering lunch time but may be need one for the evening.

I came in and sat at the bar after a job interview next door and had genuinely good expirence they didn't mind if I didn't order anything for 40+ minutes while waiting for my ride I did end up order fries which where good . When I have money, I hope you come and review the bar more honestly. I did enjoy the immediate story and history I felt at the bar and the very nice southern atmosp. I also appreciate the subtle pride flags and love is the love sticker I saw.

Stopped at The Stix Icehouse for lunch. We've driven by many times and thought it was a private club with the huge statue in front 🐴 Saw a post somewhere, thought we'd give it a try. Walking in was a bit chaotic, crowded but no host to seat. Once we found a table, it was topped with menus. Convenient but sticky. Once waiter got there he was friendly, service on and off. I had the Fish and Chips, fish was nice and crunchy on outside with a slight season, plenty of meaty fish to enjoy! Fries were crispy yet soft at exactly the right spots. with a Side salad that hit the spot. Fresh lettuce, toppings and dressing of my choice. I also tried an Appetizer, fried Pickles. Their version was very salty, the dip offered was a plain ranch with no added flavor. I would consider the food a higher range priced for what you get. Although the food was actually pretty good, I gave an overall Rating of 3⭐ since we had a lapse in service. And the seating area looks/ feels in need of cleaning/ replacing cushions.

First timers and had an AMAZING morning! Started with goat yoga which I believe they have once a month. Hailey our waitress was AWESOME! She was super friendly and helpful while giving excellent service! The food was INCREDIBLE! Started with the fried pickles app. I ordered the brunch avocado toast with fruit and it was DELICIOUS! Chilli was great as well! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for making my Mother's Day super special with a FANTASTIC vibe and food! Btw...mimosas were PERFECTION! They bring you a bottle with different juices to make your own which was PHENOMENAL!!!

So I had a great time at The Stix in McKinney, TX. Service from Charlie and Diamond was exceptional. The food was decent, I probably should have checked menu items ahead of time . Great selection of beverages and wonderful atmosphere. Can't wait to try it again.

This places is amazing for family or friends setting. First time we went we had a group of 3 families each with our children. The outdoor games like soccer and swings are awesome and the kids like them. There is pool and couple of arcade games. Nice bar and plenty of space inside and outside. There are performances sometimes. Just all around vibrant and fun place.

The stix has such a great atmosphere. I love that it’s inside and outside seating. Food was good nothing wild and crazy. I got the biscuits and gravy along with a non alcoholic ocean water. My parents come here all the time. Great for kids and well behaved pets. One lady even had her sun conure (small bird) and her dogs at her table. I would give 5 stars if the food was slightly better, but I had a great experience. They have very reasonable prices as well.

My husband and I recently hosted the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding at the Stix. We had about 60 people, from 7 kids to several seniors and a lot in between. Our server Zee took care of everyone with a big smile and great service while Dani kept everyone's drinks flowing. We have a wonderful evening with great food. We started with chips and queso and then had a build your own burger bar. The food was hot and delicious. Vegetables were fresh and crisp and patties were moist and seasoned well. Overall, a great time coordinated by Veronika! She was a great help letting me know what my choices were and when my deadlines were. I would definitely use this place for any gathering, large or small and will definitely stop in any time I am traveling in the area. Thank you again The Stix Icehouse, Zee, Dani and Veronika!

This place has been on our must try place to eat. Finally got to try on eve of our anniversary with another couple. They have open seating, we got there little before 9pm. seated ourselves. Ordered beers and nachos as appetizers. Beers were great, nachos were not so good, thin and burnt. Ordered the appetizer sampler on the happy hour menu and frozen marg with blood orange flavor and tajin on the cup. Orders had mix up, we got the fried pickles instead of fried jalapeño's and marg came with salt instead of tajin. Waitress was nice enough to give us fried Jalapeño's and another marg with Tajin. Appetizer sampler was great, fried Jalapeños are a must try. SO ordered Veg tacos and we ordered patty melt. Tacos and patty melt tasted great. Overall a good experience and good food.

WOW- this place is huge and has something for everyone! We went here (Jan.26 afternoon) for a Family BDAY, with our ages from 7 to 89 years old. Food choices are different than run-of-the-mill restaurants, yet pretty good. We have not seen a chicken fried steak this big. With all 13 of us, we had a large variety of items from fried pickles, CFS, burgers, to hot dogs. The only complaint was the onion dip on the veggie tray appetizer. Seat yourself was nice as we could choose our 'area'. Our waitress, Clarabelle was wonderful. She did NOT miss a lick in our orders, drinks stayed topped off, and her disposition was fun, positive. If you haven't been here yet, give it a shot...and don't forget to check out ALL the things to do other than eat!! Thanks, Clarabelle for a nice afternoon - you were great (but she would not let me use her debit card, go figure!) Thanks for the fun.

So much better than your average bar and grill. Great food, great service, and great music at the perfect volume.

The place was busy, it's a seat-yourself kind of place. The vibe is very lively and jolly, the current theme is Tinsel town, some employees are wearing Christmas outfits. The Grinch came by and went to say hi to the kids. The alcoholic beverages were pretty good, they don't skimp on the alcohol for sure! I ordered the Serrano ceasar salad, it was a little spicy and sweet. I added blackened Salmon which is a little bit on the salty side( I think i prefer the original Caesar salad ). My son likes his burger with bbq sauce , fried onion and bacon. Hubby had the dirty dog which he likes, I didn't care much for the chili sauce that came with it, had a little bit much cumin I think. Our Server was very friendly and she made sure to check on us . The live music was an added bonus. I would definitely come back again, the place and the vibe is pretty fun.

Fun place, with better than most place like this food and drinks! I had Chicken Tacos and some Fried Pickles! Weird combo I know, but it worked for me! I loved the breading on the pickles. My Tacos were really good. Like I would come back for them kind of good! Service was ok, not great but certainly not bad.

I had the best time at Stix with my wife and friends. The food is the perfect menu for the whole family. Alyssa and her camo pants are the most adorable thing! She's is a really great server with great recommendations and even better hospitality. I'm so impressed! We were looking for a fun place to stop and have a drink and stumbled on Stix. This place is very open, good vibe and our server Lauren was amazing! She was very inviting and helpful with the menu. We fell in love with the shirts and the decor of this place. Outside they have games for kids to play. Overall fun place and great beer!

We loved the ambiance of this restaurant! The decor was on point and the vibes were right up our alley! This place is a hidden gem in McKinney, and we can't wait to bring friends and family here. It's the perfect spot to hangout and grab drinks. The food wasn't spectacular- it's just your typical bar food, nothing super unique about it. Service and ambiance were a 10/10! Can't wait to come back!

Came to eat with my cousins and ordered fried pickles and chips and salsa. Everything was pretty good. Waitress was really nice and prompt. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and only ate a portion of it since I got stuffed on fried pickles and chips. The only issue I had was that the chicken fried chicken was really thin. Mac was really cheese and good. Mash tater wear really creamy. The place was really nice and clean. I know my cousin ordered the chicken fried steak, and he didn't like that the breading fell off the steak. Breaking stayed on my chicken, so I don't know what all that was about. Chicken fried chicken 5 outa 10 Mash taters 6 out 10 Mac n cheese 7 outa 10 Fried pickles 4 outa 10 really salty Chips n salsa n queso 4 outa 10 All in all it was a place I would come back.

My my my god, first time here and I can honestly say that I am mad at myself for not being here before. The doors. The service, thank you Diamond you are AWESOME!!! We will be back for some more awesomeness!!! Please come by and try the Stix as you won't regret it.

The service has gone down hill since my visits from last year. It was not very busy but we were slow to be served. The food prices have gone up quite a bit since 2023. In the past it would hard to get a table on Saturday night but we're able to find a table outside right away. The menus were really dirty and sticky and the glass doors were filthy. The drinks used crushed ice, which is okay with tea but NOT mixed drinks. The ice melted so fast my mojito was watery. Our food was good.

We went during Christmas and their holiday themed cocktail menu and decor was the absolute BEST. The queso with candied jalapeños was outstanding and our sandwiches were also very tasty. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to go back.

Always great service. I prefer to sit at the bar to get the fastest service but sometimes we have our pup so we sit on the patio.

The Stix Icehouse is located off Eldorado Pkwy right at the intersection of S College St. We kinda stumbled upon The Stix Icehouse when we were looking for places to eat and it turned out to be a great decision. This place has a really nice menu with just about something for everyone, plus they have some pretty good beers on draft. I went with the Fire Engine Red, which is a red ale from Hop and Sting Brewing Company. I decided to go with the Frito Pie during my visit and it did not disappoint. Chili and Fritos just seem like a perfect match. The sun started to set as we were eating so we really didn't get a change to take a look around the grounds which is a bummer. Being on 14 acres, I'm sure there's a ton of space to have fun. Next time I'd come back when it's a lot warmer, definitely not when there's an arctic blast blowing through so I can hang outside to enjoy good food and good beers. See ya at The Stix!

Loved loved loved this! They were packed but service and wait time was quite the opposite. It was a family friendly place with a bar, pool tables, and a few arcade games. The decor was perfect and the food was delicious. The guacamole was perfection and we barely got a bite in before our entrees were ready as well. The hubs ordered a fried bologna sandwich (grilled would probably be better for his health) and I ordered shrimp tacos. Everything was yummy!!!

There's a great outdoor area for kids to run around and play, including tire swings, hung from the trees and a tether ball.

Tried Stix again, 3rd time to see if it improved, no. Ordered a simple salad and hub ordered the avacado chicken sandwich. The salad was lots of large pieces of lettuce, awkward to eat. Had to break up the peices by hand. It had a few tomatoes, 1 crouton...too expensive for what it was. Hub got two super thin slices of avocado on his sandwich, an absolute joke. Our server didn't come around to ask us how we were, so basically, they lost cocktails business, as my hub was wanting to order one. I love the porch and the space. Too bad it's wasted on terrible food and service.

Went here for our work lunch hangout, and the staff was very friendly and welcomed us warmly! There are lots of tables and plenty of space for large parties. It's pretty hot right now, but I bet when it cools down a bit, the patio would be a great place to enjoy yourself and hang out. The food was pretty good, I think the bacon in my BALT was a bit too thick to my liking, but the fries were super crunchy, just how I love them.

First time here and it was a very good experience. It delivered on what the pictures were selling: lots of choices for seating (indoor, outdoor and bring your own), family friendly, good food and mixed drinks. Only food we tried was the loaded fries and they were the best I've ever had. Service is good. They have enough servers to cover their large establishment.

I love the food and atmosphere here! I'm gluten free and they have lots of great options & they all taste great. The service here is great too!! Ady was our server tonight and she was the best. She even had my drink remade when I realized it had a graham cracker rim that wasn't gluten free. We love Stix!

I live in the sticks (pun intended), and my husband and I have been coming to The Stix since it's the closest bar. It's been two years now, and the staff is amazing. They're very friendly and have become like family to us. The other day my husband entered a stein holding contest because he wanted the prize for the first place winner. It was a beautiful ceramic stein. He gave it his beat but lost. Little did we know that there were two steins, one was kept in the back room. Mary, one of the best bartenders I've ever met heard that he wanted it. She set it aside and surprised him with it yesterday. We were so shocked and appreciative of that thoughtful surprise. Seriously. The staff is superb.

Our crew had a nice afternoon having "Dude Time" watching NBA playoff basketball with the Thunder @ MAVS while we were served by Lesley, who did a fabulous job taking taking care of us... A big THANK YOU to Lesley

I'd say this place has a good ambiance since it is family friendly, at least outside. They have live artists performing outside when we went. A menu had a squished gnat on it. Food was okay, I only ordered the loaded fries. Stayed just to drink and see the artist. Service was lacking. Original server gave me very bad attitude and saw her storming off. Wouldn't come back with this experience.

We were visiting the area and was told about Stix. Wow!! Place is fantastic. Great atmosphere, bartenders, and food. Fun place to spend the afternoon for cocktails, food, and sports on TV.

I've been going to Stix for about a year because it's one of my fiancé's favorite places. Tonight I became a fan. On a whim, I asked the bartender to make me something different with whiskey. Mary delivered big time. Don't believe me? Ask for the Rob Special. It's fantastic.

Went here for my 30th birthday tonight. Our waitress was Diamond and she HAD THE BEST ENERGY! right off the batt I told her that I was expecting and that I still wanted a fun drink, without hesitation she congratulated me and then offered a mocktail and asked what flavors I like and boom! She came back with the best mocktail ever. Made me feel SO special. Overall she was really great, took care of my family, no one had to wait for anything. The food was good, but the shining star was Diamond. Thanks for everything girl!!!

First time visiting this location and it has an interesting decor inside, enjoyed looking at the record and 8 track wall. And enjoyed the patio area/deck. Plenty of options of beer, unfortunately the tap beer I selected was warm from the tap and had to ask for another option. When looking at the menu, the grilled bologna sandwich sounded so interesting and it was good with the smallest bunch of fries. The additional draw back is the parking. Just not enough. Had to park across the street at the appraisal districts office. No signs posted about no parking and my vehicle was there when I return. Maybe your experience will be different.

Alyssa is an incredible server. We visited on Thursday the 30th and she greeted us quickly after we Sat, she went over all the options, was engaging and fun and then brought our food- perfectly to order. She was attentive and so pleasant. Thanks for making our visit so nice! It was a first for us and we'll definitely be back!!!

Stopped into Stix for dinner & the TNF Cowboys game. Really enjoyed it, all of the staff were really friendly. The only things keeping it at 4 stars instead of 5 was how early they closed & the TV positioning wasn't the best for watching football. But food & drinks were terrific, definitely try the catfish & chips!!

Good place for children not to get bored, they can play outside and parents can take care of them from the porch. The food is ok, the service is a little slow but we went the day before Thanksgiving, I imagine there were a lot of costumers for the people who were working that day. But they are friendly and I like the ambiance in general. I'm going to try it again when the holidays are over.

Lots of fun! Great ambiance inside and out. Super friendly service. We took a group of 14 yo girls for my daughter's birthday and they loved the food and loved being able to get up and play games down the hill. Perfect spot!

Excellent atmosphere for relaxation, great food, plenty to do outdoors. We went twice while our baseball team played in the area. We played music bingo, there's a clubhouse for kids, tire swing, wiggle ball and basketball court and lots of areas to lounge and kick back. The staff was friendly and I love the decorations. I highly recommend the frito pie, watermelon cooler and the loaded fries!

we had our Couples bridal shower. everything was easy from booking with Veronika , food choices , etc. Mary the bartender was phenomenal, very attentive. Reid the attendant was also above and beyond. highly recommend this venue for any parties or private events

Patio is awesome... food is good (not great, but its an icehouse after all) .... Staff is usually solid (been a couple times and the struggle was real)... what keeps this place from 5 stars you ask? The beer is ridiculously overpriced

FOOD: outstanding comfort & well-rounded menu. They had something for everyone. The kids menu was a big hit and with a Rice Krispie treat to boot?! I had the shrimp quesadillas & they were packed with great size shrimp & gooey cheese. Absolutely loved! ATMOSPHERE: perfect place to take an entire family, after a pickleball match. Great at different times to accommodate any need. SERVICE: great service, super nice waitstaff. TIPS: save room for the bread pudding and have a cold beer.

Look I know chicken strips are considered bar food but they have Greta strips and the atmosphere is fun . Been here a few times and never had a bad experience

Stix is our local pub and we love living near by! The patio is lovely, they have a fun trivia, the food is great - my favourites are the buffalo chicken sandwich, fried pickles, and the ceases salad with the candied Serrano peppers! It has a really fun atmosphere and the service is good too.

Our first time visiting Stix! It was amazing. The food and beer were delicious and our server Clarabelle was on point. We will def return!

Alyssa was a great host on our visit there this past Friday. She had to put up with my pain-in-the-ass brother-in-law who was fussy, petulant, and demanding. Although our seating was perfectly fine, Bob made her put three (not just two) picnic table together with umbrellas and everything. Hey, it wasn't MY idea!

Had lunch last week with my wife, on a fall day where we were finally getting some fall-ish weather, so we sat outside on the expansive patio. It's a nice area with picnic table style seating as well as some chair seating. There are a number of umbrellas to keep the sun at bay. We selected loaded fries for a starter; they were crinkle cut and loaded with cheese, bacon, and ranch on the side. Fairly good, and a lot of it, so plenty to share. For our entree, we shared the "You're My Boy Blue" blue cheese burger. It was a fairly good burger, with caramalized onions and a good smattering of blue cheese. For the side, we opted for fried jalapenos, as we'd already had fries as our starter. The order was generous, and the peppers were sweet and mild, with a great flavor and crispness. A definite winner. I'll add that we dropped by here during the summer, and it was packed with people and very loud, so we went elsewhere. Just be prepared for loudness and lots of people during peak times. Still, though, it's a solid place with a lot to try!

Honestly VERY surprised by this place- I've been 3 times now and every time pretty happy with everything. First time with a friend, great drinks, LOVED the nachos, and dessert and the drinks were great! Service was fast and friendly! I went a following time with my family and a friend and her daughter and while it was insane we had a good time! It was busy and loud and again we had a great time. I did have a few issues with food but they ok care of it and were very kind about correcting it! Only negative was several people vaping indoor (kiddo with Asthma) but management was eager to help correct it and checked in with us! Love the outdoor activities for the kids and the music! Drinks are good and it's very family friendly!

I cannot believe this amazing place is tucked away in the good ol burbs of McKinney. It feels a lot like Katy Trail Icehouse in Uptown (being that it's super dog and kid friendly), but way better. They have 14 acres of land packed with cool stuff for you to run around a play and the food is *chefs kiss*. They have a frisbee golf course, little soccer nets, tire swings, a kids treehouse, a half basketball court, paddle board tables, cornhole and more. Not to mention tons of TVs with all the games on. If there's ever a nice "patio weather" day, this is literally THE PERFECT spot to bring friends to hang out, kick a ball around (bring your own) and have great food outside. Everything we ordered was SO damn good and my kids couldn't stop raving about how cool they thought the place was. They had a blast and mom and dad were happy :) Here's what we had: *Mac n cheese: 5/5 * Patty melt: 4/5 * Corn dog: 5/5 this might be the best corn dog I've ever had *Fries: 5/5 *BLT with avocado (BALT): definitely one of the best BLT I've ever had. Bacon, was crispy, bread was perfectly toasted, lettuce was crisp and fresh, avocado and tomatoes were on point and plenty of mayo, just how I like it! * Fried pickles: 4/5 really good but maybe a touch too salty - their ranch is delicious We had so much fun and honestly, what took the experience over the top was the service. Alyssa was SO friendly and attentive and everything came out so fast even though they were super busy. I even asked to change my side order from fries to green beans last minute and even though our food eases already coming out by then, she went ahead and brought out green beans anyway and comped them. Could not have asked for a better place to spend our Saturday. We will definitely be back and we're bringing friends!

If you are new to Dallas or surrounding suburbs, Yelp is your best bet for finding restaurants. It has worked for us & we discovered The Stix Icehouse in Mckinney. It's off 75/Eldorado pkwy, easy to access. We were looking for a bar & grill environment & reviews/menu peeked our interest. You walk into a party environment with leis & Hawaiian decor hanging from rafters. Fun bold colors everywhere. It feels like a fun college bar, with large indoor & outdoor patio seating. Ping pong tables, corn hole, frisbee golf are just a few games set up on outdoor acreage. Lots of families & all ages represented on our visit. Hailey waited on us & she was happy to tell us her favorites on the menu. Also helped with the many cocktail choices & beer selections. I ordered the chicken strips with gravy & super crispy fries. 4 strips were nicely breaded & juicy. The fries dipped in the gravy or ranch was a perfect bite. Husband ordered the chicken fried chicken which had a nice crunch but the peppery cream gravy made the dish. He did receive mashed potatoes that were a bit cold but Hailey quickly resolved that. His meal also included green beans cooked in sautéed onion & bacon. My spicy Paloma & his Tank 7 farmhouse ale were both very refreshing. The menu is full of great choices from appetizers, salads, burgers & entrees. Something for everyone along with awesome beers & specialty drinks. Brunch is served on Sat & Sun. It felt like stepping into restaurants we visited on coastal vacations plus all the feels from college bar experiences. Meet up with friends or plan a fun family night soon. You will love it & if Hailey is working, even better.
