"Drew is the man behind the brews at the best coffee shops and restaurants in Nashville. A quirky character and a true craftsman (he lives in an ex-motorcyle gang meeting place that he is rehabbing); he hand roasts his famous coffee beans and writes each label himself."

Stone Fox can be fantastic for brunch. Go there then. We've never had anything but fantastic experiences on Sunday mornings. Food is fantastic. Any other day, it's unbearable. Just for example, the last time there, we walked in, there were maybe 5 customers there on a Saturday afternoon and at least 3 waiters. Calm as could be. It was seat yourself, so we took a seat, and were clearly noticed walking in. After 10 minutes of waiting, three times two different waiters looked at us and made eye contact and quickly looked away pretending to not actually see us, despite me motioning for them when they did. Once they went and got a broom and started sweeping, another time they went up to the register and started chatting. We left after the third time and went elsewhere. Too many times this has happened. The hipsters who work at the place are the Nashville equivalent of the LA waiters who are all "actually writers" or "actors" and consider themselves above the job and patrons. We live in the Nations and support the local businesses as much as possible. I think Elise Tyler has done great things for the neighborhood, but the service here is just bad.

I've been here a half dozen times to see a few shows, and the music was always good. It's small and wasn't ever too packed, which I liked. The place also looks pretty cool and I like the vibe - also it's smoke free, which is always good in my opinion. However, my friend had a really bad experience here, and when she tried to talk with a manager about the situation, she was attacked over the phone by her. After hearing about this, I won't ever be going back, which sucks because they booked good music. I've never had the food here, though my friend who has eaten there quite a bit and told me it's pretty good, but I won't ever find out, because I won't step foot in this place again.

Been there twice since moving here. First time, the bartender did not pay any attention to us and there were only 3 other people in the entire establishment...Was only served 2 drinks in an 2 hours, and we had to ask for service on the second round. Second time, we waited for 20 minutes before even being able to flag down someone who worked there. She did then promptly find us the server for our section. The reason I'm being generous with a 3 is for our delightful waitress who suggested a delicious pimento cheese burger with bacon and jalapenos.

Consistently excellent, especially their cocktails. Ignore the haters: I am the polar opposite of cool and they always treat me and my guests well. I recommend Saturday or Sunday brunch: although not my speed, they have vegan and vegetarian options and usually one fun menu item every weekend. I usually go for the chicken and waffles with the hot maple syrup. Love this place!

Burgers are okay. The past three times we have been there no one has come up to us for at least 10 minutes. We just sat there watching the bartenders while they talked with each other. The other two times we had to get our own menus. Still after getting our own menus no one came up to us. We walked out 2 of the 3 times. Trying to like the place but the service is pretty bad.

If this business was more geared toward customer satisfaction than assuring that they maintain a hipness that included aloof, rude, and incompetent staff, I might enjoy it. I've sent many friends who've visited Nashville there, and always hear that the food is mediocre and overpriced. I didn't even get as far as the food because of how incredibly unfriendly the staff was when just trying to have a drink. Will never go again, nor would I ever recommend it.

This place is a disgrace! To host an event on Memorial Day which attacks a culture or group of people different than you is wrong. The Funeral for the Confederate Flag event shows how un-American you are. Do you know the truth behind the flag? Do you even care? Obviously you do not care that you insult Southerners. Nashville is a Southern City, Word of this is getting out. You have someone associated with you who feels this way towards us who go out and spend money. Anna Lindsay Sellers And look at the ages of all of u people talk talk talkin!* Boycott my toe please? Please? Cause no one cares. .. .. . . She got one thing wrong. People do care. Our heritage and history is no laughing matter. Do you really want someone who is rude to represent your establishment? Then she called us who love our history and heritage "Lunatics". Word of this is getting out. Maybe she will have a hard time performing anywhere in Nashville. She is only 1 of 10,000 wannabe stars. I am sadden to thing an establishment in Nashville would support an event like this. The publicity from this is not to your benefit. Maybe you should hold a funeral for your business. You know, since you are already in funeral mode.

The Stone Fox is a gem in West Nashville. A hip, buzzing venue with great food and performances. I especially recommend coming when Chris Scruggs and the Stone Fox Five are playing (usually Sundays at 9).
