Absolutely delightful!
We visited The Stone House for a birthday dinner, and were not disappointed.
(Current events related: masks were required to enter, and vaccination cards were checked.)
Both of us ordered the tasting menu, and thus were able to sample 2/3 of the menu. It was all absolutely delicious. The chef does a wonderful balance of sweet, salty, and acid. All of my dishes had bold herbs/spices, and all contained at least one sour component to balance things out.
We also appreciated that, without batting an eye, the waiter was able to offer us a wide range of non-alcoholic drink options. (The virgin mojito was delicious.)
I loved that the chef came out periodically to bring dishes, or clear them away. I didn’t realize at first who he was, and confessed to him that I had picked up my pork chop bone to gnaw on it. “Of course!! That’s why I plate it this way! I COULD make it look pretty…but the meat on the bone is the best part.” (I assured him that the bone didn’t detract in the slightest from the presentation.)
