For the experience, it is recommended; however, food was lacking flavor. Know what you like and ask for seasoning to enhance it, as it's very bland. Overall, the seafood pot was overcooked. I made the best of what was offered. Enjoyed the drink recommended by the waitress a long Island iced tea was strong and satisfying. Very friendly waitress, Denise, made great suggestions about the menu. The pot was not appetizing as the Lobster was chewy and overcooked but other items was plentiful for two.

Google
Food was just okay, the steamer pot crab was over cooked. Clam bake didn't have much flavor but portions were great for the price. The highlight of the meal was our starter, the crab bisque. Server was very attentive and nice. Restaurant is clean and seating is open to water where there are scheduled shark feedings! Only down side of the atmosphere is the busy road right next to the water.

Waterfront open air restaurant. Attached to a hotel. The waterfront is an inlet boat dock. Food and drinks were incredible. Service was excellent. I will come back.

Google
Just did not live up to expectations. Stone crab was very expensive. Had to ask for my drink and service was slow. Also the conch chowder was cream based. When I looked to verify that conch chowder is tomato based and red…. This is what I found: “Conch chowder is a thick, red soup that's a traditional dish in the Caribbean, Honduras, and the Florida Keys.”

When we first arrived we loved the huge turtles & birds welcoming you into the parking lot. The bartender was kind enough to let us (local) paying customers use the pool while waiting for our order. Service was wonderful the bartender was very kind & helped us pick out our food. We ordered the big seafood boil but boy was that the wrong choice. As a local I don’t eat much seafood from restaurants but just so happened my aunt came into town for the weekend & wanted to give her a show around key west. The seafood wasn’t fresh by any means! the stoned crab was extremely dry, the snow crabs didn’t have the best taste & the lobster tail had this horrible odor to it. I’m not one to complain so I ate what I could of it & paid my bill & left. Few hours later I’m puking my brains out I’ve seen lots of other reviews on Facebook of guest getting sick from the food as well so I know it wasn’t just me. I spent a day & a half feeling like death it’s now been 3 days & i can still taste the lingering taste of bad seafood!! I should have sent my meal back the second I got it but I’m not one to complain about my food I feel so embarrassed to speak up when it comes to food at restaurants I REPEAT: if it don’t taste good, don’t eat it!! I will from here on out speak up if somethings not right about my food after getting so deathly sick from this place!!! I will NEVER go back!!!!!!!

Google
Cool spot! Cocktails were good. And the added bonus of being able to feed your leftovers to the fish... I mean, why not? I had the shrimp cocktail and calamari basket. Pass on the calamari, only two actual squid, everything also a bunch of imitation. Hard fail on that. Aside from that, everything was a win. Staff was solid and friendly, brother had a bucket of crab and shrimp and mussels and a clam or two. He was in heaven. Everyone else was pleased with their food. Nice decor, everything was clean. Would definitely go back. It's a good time, good food, good service. Oh yeah, I got some gulf oysters on the half shell as well, excellent.

Google
Beautiful place. Lousy unseasoned, over priced food. Got stuffed lobster w nothing stuffed it was in a plastic cup on side. Boiled no seasoning. Didn't eat sides there was no life to them. Boiled potatoes no seasoning, no flavor. Squash just pilled up no onion no color. I paid 40$ for a lobster tail I get from Publfor 15$. Lobster bake or whatever same. Spent 250 on nothing will never go back. We asked for peppers 🌶 or hot sauce they guy brought out another plastic cup w lid w green peppers lol. Everything was in plastic cups. For that price have better plating. You catch ur own fish. There is no way a 1lb Snapper is 38$. 1 lb lobster tsil was 40. We went to the place right before the keys the whale i belive and got better food on a buffet , it had life, color, seasoning. See the pictures bland. See the 2.6 lb lobster tails for 22 vs 1 ln dor 40. I understand the keys maybe 25 for 1lb. Itl be soley a nice looking place that brings people.

Yelp
The seafood and the service are the best. I like the cocktails, crabs and lobster! The vibe is amazing! I was so full and satisfied:)

Yu-syuan T.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the vibe is wonderful, and the staff is so nice. We enjoyed the time here, highly recommended!

Diane G.

Yelp
The clam bake could have been cooked longer. Ramona our server was great! We were there during the shark feeding it was fun to see.

Lulu P.

Yelp
One star for the great ambience. Open atmosphere, great staff. Take our order. Fettuccini Alfredo with key west pink shrimp was terrible. The shrimp was off. Definitely not fresh or worse. Wedge salad was huge. Lettuce was fresh, bacon bits were ok. Dressing was terrible, couldn't tell what it as supposed to be and tasted watered down. Purple onions were potent. Grilled shrimp and bacon appetizer was terrible too. Drizzled BBQ like sauce to hide the smell and the taste was gross. Had to spit it out. Super disappointed, should have listened to the reviews.

Emily D.

Yelp
Service was very slow and the food took a really like time to get but the spot is very nicely decorated and right on the water. Shrimp was very fresh.

Jim W.

Yelp
In Key West for a week and didn't make any plans - this is near the hotel and looked good enough to give it a try. Surprised about all the negative reviews. My wife got the conch chowder, first time for her trying it and she loved it. I got half doz oysters and crab claws. Oysters were huge and yummy. Claws were okay - could have used a little more care cooking - too much meat sticking to the shell. Still a nice stop for a quick bite - it's unfortunate they sit on Roosevelt - making for a noisy meal.

David M.

Yelp
Take out Louie salad was really disappointing. Tons of capers? Russian dressing wasn't fresh. Shrimp was watery, but at least edible. Most frustrating was stone crab, in shell, not cracked and nearly impossible to extract. This also was tasteless. Would not even try this selection. What's the point of fresh shellfish salad if the product is poor?

Laurie V.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch just around the corner from the navy base where we are staying in the campground Lots of covered seating. Staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks and hubby had smoked fish appetizer. Hubby had the fish basket combo and I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Both were good portions and tasty. We would return.

Todd N.

Yelp
The ambience is pleasant with outdoor torches, though somewhat diminished by the location next to a busy road and the noticeable sea smell. The wooden chairs and tables are decent, providing comfortable enough seating. The stone crab was tasty but fell short of justifying its price. My shrimp dish was good but nothing special. Service was average--while I was offered a second beverage before half finishing the first, a simple request for a napkin was acknowledged but never fulfilled. My wife rated this a 2.5 but I experienced a disgusting bathroom which would drop that rating by at least 1/2 a point.

Stewert F.

Yelp
This has to be the worst place I've ever tried. Prices are high and the food is terrible. Calamari was overcooked. Smoked fish dip tasted like they just dumped out a can of tuna and molded it into a ball. We asked for the check immediately after trying those two things

Wesley P.

Yelp
So So Terrible. The food is just the worst. Get a chef onboard folks. Talk about barff. I've travelled 50 countries and I've never done a google review, but I had to today. What turd food. If you want to charge $50 usd for a steak then it better be good. The rest of the food was just crap. The amount of fat on the streak was insane. The staff asked me how it was I said very sub par and yet they still charged me full price. They also forgot to bring things we order. Glad they did actually, so I didn't need to pay for them. Folks do not waste your money going that please do not waste your money going to this place. It is crap.

Tracy H.

Yelp
I'm a seafood lover, and have been traveling from Tampa, Clearwater, Saroasra now Key West. I ordered Oysters, Old Bay Stone Crap was bad, the crap was not fresh, too dry, the Snow crabs was the same too dry. The Oysters was not bad.my server was super nice.

Robert W.

Yelp
The first night we had the Alfredo with shrimp and lobster. And 1/2 a lobster. Alfredo W/s/l was pretty good. The lobster was pretty darn good so we went back the 2nd night and lust hard the 2lb lobster. Again it was awesome. Most lobster I've had over the years was usually overcooked. It was very tender, we both loved it. The waitress's did a great job, we'll definitely eat there again, next time we're down there

Emily C.

Yelp
Omg! The catch of the day - yellow tail snapper was melt in your mouth awesome ! Would definitely return

Anne W.

Yelp
Terrible food. 3 stone crab claws $110 overcooked and frozen. So disappointing Felt misled by waiter for the cost of the stone crab

Eric R.

Yelp
This might be one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The prices on the online menu do not match what was charged. The coconut shrimp are dry and flavorless. The conch fritters were decent at best but also very average. I'd rather have not eaten dinner.

Bill M.

Yelp
Extremely slow service. Less than average food and drink. Fried fish basket was poor. Been here a week and worse place we dined at.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Got the catch of the day in tacos, others got chicken tacos and a seafood salad which was real good and portions were also sufficient. Waitress and staff was very friendly and attentive. Has a nice outdoor atmosphere, drinks were also well loaded up. Would go back again! Also Love the American Flag toothpicks.

Lynn C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Sat by the water and flies became an issue near the end of our meal but we would definitely go here again.

Kelly H.

Yelp
Vibe is nice-outdoor tiki style bar next to the pool. My usual is a casamigos margarita-bartender was nice -mixed a good one and I ordered half dozen oysters and smoked fish dip. Was told it was snapper but it was dark in color which would be unusual for snapper. It was def fresh fish as I found a couple of scales in it but all good. I'm a Floridian so that wouldn't really phase me. Overall the fish dip was bland and unremarkable. Kudos for serving it with high quality crackers. Oysters were decent. I'm a massive fan of the red wine/champagne vinegar wash but these were super traditional with just horseradish and cocktail sauce. I also give HUGE props if they feature a local hot sauce but they only offered Tobasco and Cholula Overall good atmosphere but quite average and would love if they offered something out of the ordinary to make the experience unique or memorable No live music

Kim D.

Yelp
Had a very nice dinner. I had the stone crab bisque and a lobster. Both were very tasty. My friend said the oysters Rockefeller were excellent. Ramona was our server and she was great!!

Sydney L.

Yelp
Ordered the stone crab bisque and a dozen oysters. The soup was delicious & I thought the display was cute. The oysters were poorly shucked and lacked flavor in the cocktail sauce/horseradish. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, steak, & old bay steamer. All good but nothing to knock your socks off.

Dana C.

Yelp
Awesome burger! And conch fritters and we had the best server/manager he was pulling double duty, he was excellent keep up the good work Luis.

Mike C.

Yelp
We came here from Minneapolis for our wedding anniversary- food was great- service was even better by Ramona!

Kori H.

Yelp
Pretty extensive menu, convenient location, We got the Conch Fritters Very good Nice location and Oscar was a friendly, attentive waiter

Gabriella Z.

Yelp
Famous claws were dry and stuck to the shell. Texture felt reheated and gummy with some hard pieces. PASS ON THOSE especially for the ridiculous price. However, stoned crab bisque and a crab leg cluster (appropriately priced at $17) really hit the spot. My family members ordered the individual seafood boils, which they expressed were very delicious. Keylime pie was great, service was great. After paying the initial check that was itemized included a mandatory gratuity of 18%. Once the check returned for signature [not itemized], the bottom of the check stated that "gratuity not included", however the totals remained the same. Beware. Probably would not return.

Ed M.

Yelp
Food overpriced and overcooked. Had a fish basket, my fish was very dry because it was fried too long. Had a 1/4 cup of tartar that was so so and a tablespoon of coleslaw ! The only thing edible were the fries but they were almost cooked too long. My partners fish sandwich was also overcooked with cold fries. Service was sloooooow.

Abigail C.

Yelp
Place was ok. The server was great. If you are a CAJUN lover ask for old-bay seasoning on the side because you WILL need it. I had their shrimp and lobster Alfredo. Old bay seasoning was definitely a must to add on to it to give it that sea food taste. My stepdaughter ordered a sea food pot and we needed to season it for it to taste like something. Strawberry lemonade is a NO.

Ryan M.

Yelp
My food was alright but the guests with us didn't like the food. I'm giving two stars due to the service. The server was friendly but he didn't write anything down and kept getting orders wrong. Both drink and food orders. Then the bills were wrong when he brought those out. Just write stuff down! Table of 6.... You should be writing things down. His mind was elsewhere. Also I hate when they automatically add gratuity because gratuity is rating the level of service and you don't have an opportunity to do that because they help themselves to your bill even if they didn't earn it. I feel like the waiter didn't care about our experience because he already knew he was going to tack on 18% regardless.

Sal R.

Yelp
Of all the seafood places in Key West this ranks in the bottom three. You can get better food from a food truck. The most disappointing item were the 2 medium sized crab claws. They advertise that the claws are flash boiled when they are caught so that the meat will slide out of the shell. It was far from that.. they were small and dry.. meat stuck to the shell, hard to remove.. and grossly overpriced. Ordered club soda ( free refills) and lemonade $7 and no free refill for 2nd glass. How cheap can you be!! I strongly advise against eating at this restaurant.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Not at all impressed. While it sounded appealing and looked like a festive experience, the service was horrible and the food was even worse. Our appetizer came out raw; which the shrimp was supposed to be bacon wrapped and cooked. The lobster was ok. Not much more to say....tourists beware!!! Pick a different place.

Alyssa B.

Yelp
Do not eat here. I've never felt so disappointed leaving a restaurant. But the fisherman who supply the fish here daily should be even more disappointed. The fish/crab/mussels/calamari/oysters is so poorly cooked it's disservice to the fisherman. I don't mind paying a lot for good food but this was the most expensive meal of my trip and worst, which is not a good combo.

Tracy F.

Yelp
Ramona was fabulous with her service, demeanor and recommendations! And then, there's the food and drinks! The Lobster Tacos were fantastic amd the Cucumber drink is my new favorite!

Christopher L.

Yelp
1/2 star should be an option!! Food was barely edible, not being rude, stay away from this place it's bad. Staff was friendly but food is just that bad.

Gretchen H.

Yelp
I cannot believe all of the negative reviews...This was the best dinner we had in Key West! We had the crab pot which came with a TON of seafood including the famous stone crab claws. All of the fish was cooked to perfection, including the peel and eat shrimp, which can be very difficult to not overcook. Their key lime pie was also SO GOOD! It was great to sit outside. Service was pretty good as well. I definitely will be back next time we come to key west!

Stacey S.

Yelp
We ordered smoked fish dip as an appetizer and cannot describe what we received. Hairy and fishy. Crackers were stale= sent it back. Crab bisque, not enough crab. Then, let's not talk about the shrimp and grits... THAT WAS NOT GRITS!!! It was short, circle grained rice! The absolute worse. This place has gone downhill and that's too bad since it's in a great location. We will never come back. Don't waste your money or time You've been worn! So bad I forgot to take a picture and does not even deserve the 1 star.

Rachel G.

Yelp
Solid 3.5 The stars of the show were the Rum Runner, the Conch Chowder and the peel and eat shrimp. The crab platter was good. The fish dip was ok it needed a little something else flavor wise - the crackers that came with it super good. Salads were basic. Our hotel was across the street - so it was an easy walk.

Josette L.

Yelp
Seated quickly, service was great, food was too! The lobster tacos had a ton of meat on them!

Jacob T.

Yelp
Decent food, good service and a water view. Nothing spectacular about this place and it was empty at lunch time. Has a great location but the food seems to all come from Sysco and the ocean which surrounds this key. Shameless.

Karen T.

Yelp
Adobe was very nice and a great server. Feeding the sharks was a very cool experience!

Kislev A.

Yelp
Seafood Tower was a good deal. It came with lobster, stone crab, blue crap, fried calamari, grilled shrimp, blackened fish, coleslaw and corn. It was safe enough, but I have a sneaking suspicion it was frozen. The main draw is the Key Lime Pie though. That was AWESOME! Also, they have a short "feed the shark" session. There was no line to get in and get seated. Our server was nice and friendly and didn't hover.

Craig G.

Yelp
I stroll in on a Saturday afternoon and there is only a few occupied tables and an empty bar. I'm looking for some cracked conch, but that ain't here. I'll go for a semi-local tap beer (Islamorada) and a light meal so I can explore Duvall. I order the Louie 1000 Island salad and ask for extra crab. To my surprise, the crab and shrimp on this salad require me to crack and peel them to make my own damn salad. Now if I wanted to work for my meal I would have gone out on a charter boat to catch my own or ordered a pile of peel and eat shrimp. I ask the waitstaff if this is supposed to come with salad dressing (there is none on mine) and the bone head doesn't understand English and say's " you want ranch?" Sure....And fortunately he brings me blue cheese (which 8 prefer any day). Don't waste your time on this "tourist" joynt.

Elin K.

Yelp
Came here for my mom's birthday, and what an absolutely terrible decision on my part. I should've trusted the reviews, but sometimes people are wrong! Well, this time you were not wrong. We started with fried calamari, and I got chicken alfredo. The fried calamari came with like 10 pieces, and 8 of them were mini squids... everybody knows that the customers like the rings, not just fried squid tentacles, and so we made this apparent to the waiter. "SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY" She gets the manager, manager comes and says this is how everything is supposed to come out, while the server was shaking talking to us and absolutely did not want to take any blame whatsoever. The manager wants to only protect her staff, that's very noble, but you have to know when you are in the wrong or in the right. If you guys legitimately believe it is ok to serve fried calamari at the PRICE you do, and for it to come out the way it does, is deplorable. Not even Gordon Ramsey himself could save this restaurant. Also, the pasta was EXTREMELY watery and the chicken tasted like it came off the dollar shelve at family dollar. That's really what we paid $80 for, ordering 2 mains and an appetizer? I've never really been in a restaurant that I believe should close, until now.

Ashley K.

Yelp
This place is in a nice location. The server was amazing. The food was edible but wasn't great. The shrimp basket and fish tacos were horrible, definitely not Florida keys worthy. The shrimp was chewy and the fish tasted like the air smells when the seaweed is stinking up the area. I see why people say not to come here.

Bruna M.

Yelp
Ambiance is great which made us go there even after checking bad reviews. They seat us in a second once the restaurant wasn't busy, they have plenty parking spots as well. Service was ok, our server was nice and helped us get the best plates that would accommodate my moms restrictions. Food is not that good though! Our crab came very small, not a lot of meat. They have privileged location and could've done way better for the customers.

Cailee D.

Yelp
Food is over priced and sub par at best. There are way better places to eat in key west. Do not come here.

S T.

Yelp
SO DISAPPOINTED! My friend and I were looking for a nice seafood dinner for our last night in Key West. Unfortunately, we waited too long to make reservations, so we stopped into The Stoned Crab around 6:30 pm since it wasn't busy. We now know why it wasn't busy. The prices are SO HIGH! Keep in mind we are retired military folks who save carefully for our vacations. We used to live in Key West & visit regularly, so we're prepared for the high prices, but this place is ridiculous. I finally settled on a one pound stuffed lobster for $40 and my friend ordered a chilled shellfish dish for $64. We also ordered a fish dip app ($16) and a couple of cocktails. The fish dip was so basic and bland - zero flavor. It was served with some weird seeded flatbread we didn't like. We asked for Saltine crackers or tortilla chips instead. Nope, they don't have those. We ate about half of it before giving up. Our entrees arrived without the side salads listed on the menu as an accompaniment. Instead, they served small bowls of cole slaw. Ick. The lobster also came with 3 small boiled potato halves. My friend was pleased with her entree. I tasted her's and the chilled shellfish was good. Considering it was mostly snow crab legs, it was still overpriced. Whatever. My "stuffed" lobster on the other hand was gross. I've eaten stuffed lobster several times in the past - this wasn't it! The lobster meat hadn't been removed from the shell and they poured some kind of sauce over it. If it was stuffed, the stuffing was in the headspace and I couldn't tell. They provided no tools for removing the lobster from the shell, and after wrestling it for a single bite, I asked the server to take it back. She asked if I wanted something else, and I replied ONLY if the lobster entree was refunded. She said she would speak to the manager. She returned 10 min later asking what I would like instead. I assumed the manager okayed the refund, so I ordered KW Pink Shrimp and a side salad (total $31.) Both arrived shortly thereafter and were good enough ... nothing special. Then our bill arrived and it turned out the manager had only credited 1/2 the cost of the lobster, even though I ate only one bite. And he/she never came over to speak with us. I was furious, but didn't make a scene. I paid the bill, left a 10% tip (our waters were never refilled, bird crap on our table was never cleaned off, and the miscommunication described above resulted in a lower tip than I would normally leave. Plus, it wasn't even busy!) We will never go back. We will also let our active duty & retired military friends know to avoid this place at all costs. What a huge disappointment.

John N.

Yelp
We went to the upstairs bar and waited 20 minutes before the bartender said anything to us. We got our drink order and had to wait again to put in for food. The bartender brought out our meals and mine was wrong. The bartender said the kitchen made the mistake and was working on fixing it. My friend had crab legs which were over cooked and difficult to remove the meat. Both of my friends finished their meals by the time my meal was brought out. My crab legs were also over cooked and I had to work at getting the meat out. Our second round of drinks were wrong and the bartender was insisting he made it right. I asked for the manager and told him what happened. He did nothing for us. My bill was over $90 which was only my meal. Will not go back.

Demetrius W.

Yelp
The Stone Crab was definitely a great choice. The service was great as well Kristina was a great server. Will come again!
