The Stonehouse

"San Ysidro Ranch is a dreamy setting for this rustic stone "house," punctuated by lush gardens, creekside views, rough-hewn beams and a wood-burning fireplace. In the kitchen, hyper-local regional cooking rules, with many of the herbs, fruits and veggies harvested on the property. Arrive early to walk the grounds before your meal. There is exclusivity in the air, which seems to match the affluent diners and informed servers. Regulars aim for seats on the patio along with simpler bites, like the burger or crab cakes; while others may delve into such finer things as a three-course prix-fixe, starring hamachi sashimi, pan-roasted striped bass, and a signature Meyer-lemon tart. The list of global wines and liquors is far from rote and has everyone smitten." - Michelin Inspector

Let me start with the estate experience. Awesome garden, which they actually use most of it for their restaurant. Service experience is great, everyone was so friendly, right from the entrance and exit. Food presentation and how they serve the dish to you was amazing. Food taste was okay, nothing too exciting or unique about it. I wish they have more selections. Like their wine and cocktail lists. Overall atmosphere and staff services are top notch.

We celebrated our anniversary at Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch, and the evening exceeded every expectation. The garden setting is enchanting — peaceful, intimate, and surrounded by nature. A live guitarist played softly in the background, adding to the romantic and timeless feel of the place. The menu itself is a work of art — thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and rich in flavor. We had the salmon and chicken, both prepared with exquisite attention to detail. The banana dessert was a true showstopper — creative, elegant, and absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable — attentive yet unobtrusive. Valet parking was smooth and professional. This is easily one of California’s most atmospheric and refined restaurants, perfect for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself to something extraordinary. Highly recommended.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Stone House and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with a romantic atmosphere that made the evening feel special from start to finish. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The Sweet Potato Mezzaluna was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with the prosciutto, sage brown butter, and goat cheese fondue. The Duck à l’Orange, flambéed tableside, was both a visual and culinary treat, tender, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with the barley pilaf and Grand Marnier sauce. The Jidori Chicken Breast was another highlight, with its truffle honey glaze, creamy risotto, and vibrant spring pea purée. We finished the night with the Traditional Bananas Foster, flambéed right in front of us, such a fun and delicious finale. Stone House made our anniversary unforgettable and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend for any special occasion or anytime you want an incredible meal in a stunning setting.

My favorite restaurant. From beginning to end a wonderful experience every time. The entire staff make sure you have everything you need and offer great recommendations. I recommend the old fashioned and steak Diane. The presentation on both were a lot of fun. Both came out on a cart and are prepared in front of you. It’s kind of like dinner and a show. The restaurant is dimly lit and very relaxing. I recommend dining at sundown so you can see the property and enjoy the lighting and fireplace. The staff are extremely professional, courteous, and go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. Highly recommend, always have a great time, and can’t wait to go back.

You can’t go wrong here! Food is phenomenal the view is incredible! Staff excellent! What more could one ask for ?

Google
Food overall was “Okay”. The two best dishes were the Fettucini and the Foster Banana dessert. It was nice to experience, and the rose garden was pretty, but I probably wouldn’t go back.

Tucked away in the lush foothills of Montecito, The Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch offers a truly magical dining experience that blends rustic charm with refined elegance. From the moment you arrive, the historic ambiance and beautifully manicured gardens set the tone for an unforgettable meal. The restaurant is housed in a 19th-century citrus packing house, and whether you’re seated indoors by the cozy fireplace or on the terrace under twinkling lights, the setting is effortlessly romantic. The service is impeccable—attentive yet unintrusive, making you feel like a cherished guest rather than just another reservation. Dining at The Stonehouse is more than just a meal it’s an experience—one that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a luxurious evening out, this restaurant is worth every penny.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful restaurant, I had one of the best dine in experience tonight. I wanted to celebrate an early birthday with bestie before I left on Vacation. I searched on Google and Yelp for 6 hrs till I finally decided to go with The Stonehouse Restaurant. I had made reservations via OpenTable on their website. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and were sat immediately. The ambiance was off the charts, I enjoyed the live guitar and singing from the lovely man sitting near the lit walkway. I wanted to try everything off the menu, but settled with the yellowtail crudo, half dozen oysters, Korean beef tacos, mushroom pad ty with shrimp and my friend got the baby back! They started us off with some welcoming bites and three different types of bread! The bread, omg all three were delicious. Let me tell you something, the Korean beef tacos were executed perfectly. The beef was bulgogi flavored and very juicy. The side of kimchi tasted like there was an old Korean grandma hiding in the kitchen somewhere. It tasted really authentic. I ordered the chocolate soufflé for dessert and it was the cherry on top, so yum. I'm already planning on coming back, 10/10 experience would recommend.

Yelp
Absolutely beautifully decorated. You feel like you're walking into old Europe The holiday decorations with the lighted reindeer as you're driving in is very cute although it could sound catchy it's not Food and wine offerings as well as cocktails were good. Food was good, but not amazing. They also took off most of their vegan dishes Halibut was generous portioned Service was exceptional as you would expect Prices were to match what you would expect Romantic. Festive. Fun with a small group or just a couple of good friends or family.

Yelp
Ambiance is good, food is nice, service was terrible - have not been here in awhile but this is not the reputation Stonehouse used to have, 1) Valet did not help patron w a disability get the walker out of car 2) Table was not in the area we reserved even though told would be no problem to guarantee - one side of table was a bench meant to seat three and no offer to help move the table for 80+ yo customers 3) Amuse Boucher delivered after the starters 4) ordered the soufflé with the main meal to avoid delay (takes 25') and waitress did not put the order in until after all plates were cleared, had to cancel 5) espresso came after the dessert 6) no help from valets (3 standing around) on departure w the walker either Very Disappointed with service!

Yelp
SOLID 3.5, but rounding up to 4. The location is BEAUTIFUL--cobblestone paths lined with mature olive trees, a chef's garden, and those old-school fancy bathrooms with actual hand towels. It gave off serious old-money, South of France vibes. It's a great spot for a celebration or just when you feel like dining somewhere fancy in the 805. One of the highlights was the tableside smoked cocktail. They smoke it with different types of wood to complement the drink, and the whole process is a fun little show. But as for the food, it was a bit hit or miss. Some dishes were more successful than others. Oysters, hit. SO fresh and loved the strawberry mignonette. There were shards of shells in some of them though. The ceviche was okay. It came in a martini glass with couple plantain chips, which looked great for photos but made it tricky to eat. We were trying not to tip the glass over--no one wants a broken glassware fee, lol. The ceviche at Alma Fonda Fina nearby has sooo much more depth in flavor. The lobster dim sum was a cool concept, but the gyozas were dry and some were overcooked, which was pretty obvious from the wrapper. The beurre blanc sauce didn't really do much for the dish either. The Korean tacos had tender, flavorful meat, but the tortilla was super thin and started falling apart as soon as I picked it up. The kimchi that came with it? Let's just say it was... interesting. The gochujang flavor was pretty much nonexistent. The BLT was just okay, nothing to rave about. Where they really shined was the service. True white-cloth dining--course resets, chargers, someone adjusting heat lamps with a tablet, and constant beverage refills. The Front of House staff were the epitome of hospitality and definitely elevated the overall experience, making up for the average showing from the kitchen that day. Big applause to them!

Yelp
An absolutely incredibly dining experience. I took my grandparents to lunch at Stonehouse to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. It was one of the best dining experiences of my life. The service was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. He treated my grandfather like a king in celebration of his birthday, and made our entire experience first class. We had the local strawberry gazpacho and Japanese yellowtail crisp to start. Both were light and fresh with lovely flavors. I particularly enjoyed the gazpacho with the hint of basil flavoring. For entrees we had the branzino, SYR burger, and SYR poke bowl. The branzino was the table favorite! For dessert we indulged in the baked Alaska and lemon meringue. Overall incredible meal in a gorgeous setting with 5 star service. Thank you, Stonehouse!

Yelp
This place is incredible. We went on a Monday afternoon for lunch. The grounds around the restaurant are breathtaking and are a must-see before or after you eat. The food was delicious and our waiter was very friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and they made her feel special and even brought her a happy birthday cake! We ordered the Korean tacos, salmon salad, chicken Milanese, and a White Sea bass. Everyone said everything was delicious and they would order it again. We then got the lemon tart for dessert and it too was wonderful. Side note- my girlfriend got the smoked margarita and said it was the best drink she's ever had. I would recommend and wish I could come back.

Yelp
Do you want champagne brunch? You're definitely gonna pay for it... and thankfully, it was worth it. While on our annual ladies' trip, my friend made reservs here for our last group outing. The 1st thing you notice ate the grounds of the place... Beautiful! Every part of this place is picturesque. Once seated outside in the shade, we delved into the menu. You get unlimited mimosas, bellinis, or just champagne w/ a starter, entree, & dessert for $100, I believe. You can 7 the champagne for a ridiculous 7 that's not my ministry. I had the grilled peach stuffed Avocado...definitely refreshing. Then the steak w/ eggs...flavorful. Lastly, for dessert, I had the cuatatd that was like flan. Our waiter said it was popular, but I enjoyed it, especially the firmer texture. I can't remember what my friends had b/c I was tooooo focused on my plate lol. After, we definitely roamed and did a fake photoshoot...lol! You must, it's too gorgeous. If you wanna splurge a bit, definitely come here!

Yelp
Atmosphere was amazing a little dark, Food was delicious, Staff was friendly Only thing that took away from the experience was our server charged us a large party fee even tho us was two of us , which is illegal. Pretty messed up

Yelp
Where do I begin? Our dining experience was the best I have ever experienced. The property was charming and beautiful. The service was outstanding. Every employee made me feel welcome. The food and the drinks were heavenly. I am pretty speechless how great it was. I started off ordering the Smoky bloody margarita. Our server recommended it and did not disappoint. Our appetizer was the calamari and our entrees were the Vegan burger and Chilean Sea Bass. We finished off with the chocolate soufflé. Everything was perfection. Worth every penny.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant a few times, and I noticed a common issue that has been consistent with this establishment - unprofessional and unrefined service. They set a table of 4 with 3 plates, so I asked for a 4th. After 3 more times of asking, I finally got the plate. To get water refills, we had to ask 2 more times. Also, we ordered coffee and the waiter brought out empty coffee cups with old coffee stains at the bottom, which meant they were not washed thoroughly and properly. Waiters are not as attentive or trained well. The service here is just not up to par for a high-end restaurant in a 5-star resort. Other than this issue, I really don't have a problem. The restaurant is lovely. It has a beautiful lush garden feel. I've dined here at daytime and nighttime and it's classy and romantic. Food is consistently good with lots of flavors and quality. From yellowtail crudo and calamari to cioppino and steaks- food is overall delicious. Some dishes are better than others and steaks can be overcooked at times, so it can be hit or miss. I would still love to come back here to dine. But they do need to take service more seriously for this type of high-end establishment, especially considering how much it costs. It's very pricey so expect to spend a lot of money.

Yelp
Imagine a place hidden on the hillside with a cascade of flowers, trees and nature surrounded by fresh brisk air and clouds and sky. Stonehouse is a beautiful restaurant blended with peaceful setting that brings a sense of joy and romantic setting for our Anniversary brunch. The food, and service deserve a Michelin star. The experience was impeccable and one of a kind experience with a returning back feeling.

Yelp
Is it expensive - yes. Is it amazing - yes. Is it worth it - yes. Possibly the best restaurant I've ever been to in the USA. Impeccable service and very high quality food. A wine list the likes I've never seen even in the finest restaurants in France. An amazing experience.

Yelp
We had dinner here while in SB. The meal was great. The Miso Cod is amazing. One of the best I have had. Our waiter was not attentive at all. We poured our own wine twice. He never checked on us and I ended up cancelling a cocktail because the wine showed up before my drink. The wine took a long time to get so waiting for the cocktail was totally unacceptable. There is a server there named Gisele ( Gigi )who had the table on each side of us. We were envious. She was a fantastic server. She was super attentive and very informative. She gave her tables so much more information on the menu than our waiter. Our waiter dropped menus, took meal order without any added info and then we saw him again right before we left. The som took our wine order, waiter did not even do that. Gisele should be in management and training the staff. Our dessert was comped. Not sure if it was because of the drink or because I told the host we wish we had another server. The grounds are beautiful. Rose gardens are stunning. Definitely arrive early to check it out before you go. Ask for Gigi to be your server.

Yelp
I don't normally do this but.... This place has the best food and service I've ever experienced. Our server Christian was amazing. The whole staff is extremely attentive and on top on their game. They are very kind and are here to make your experience A1. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. !!!!! !!!!!!!!!! BABY BACK RIBS.

Yelp
My husband took me here for my bday! It was amazing. We used to go here for our anniversary 30 years ago but we moved away. We're back now so he took me again. It was amazing!

Yelp
Beautiful grounds and facilities. We did have to wait a bit for our waiter but they dropped off a bread basket, which was delicious, in the meantime. The food was delicious, especially the salads to start an amazing dinner. Loved the speakeasy, the atmosphere was delightful and the drinks were really good. Well worth the cost for a special occasion.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel grounds, garden, and view. Excellent service. I attended the champagne brunch and it was lovely. The mini bread assortment was surprisingly good, I'm usually not a bread person, but it included mini muffins and pastries. I enjoyed the crab cake starter and the halibut entree. However, the dessert needs some work. It was very average chocolate cake, not decadent or moist at all. Their flan, which unusually had a puff pastry crust, did not taste like flan at all. It was more gelatin.

Yelp
Impeccable spot in every way, Gorgeous surroundings and property, romantic, elegant, magical decor outside. Service was superb, great wine selection from their Sommelier Mica. Food was fantastic and enjoyed our cheese plate for dessert. I left feeling lighter and peaceful, special police. First went almost 25 years ago and it never disappoints.

Yelp
I'm amazed by the beauty of this place. It is sooooo beautiful, beautifully decorated, ambience is way beyond what I had expected. The place was something else, it was beyond what I had expected. My fiancé and I were so happy with the service, food, ambience, the experience, and it sure was a good way to celebrate our anniversary. We sat inside because he didn't know how it was going to be outside and since Weather was cold and in December. The inside was beautiful but outside was so beautiful decorated with such an amazing vibe. I highly recommend it. Food was good as well my fiancé had their steak and I had their chicken initially but it had a really odd taste so I asked for something else and for the fish! That's was so good! Steak Diane was also good from my fiancés experience. Will definitely have another date in the future and recommend it to friends and family

Yelp
Quality food for quality views is the perfect way to describe Stonehouse Restaurant. Two standout offerings are the Kobe beef sliders and the crabcake. The Kobe beef sliders are a mouthwatering delight, boasting succulent, perfectly cooked patties that melt in your mouth. The slaw was a great compliment to the sliders and was refreshing. Equally impressive is the crabcake. The crabcake at Stonehouse Restaurant is a delightful balance of tender crab meat and delicate seasoning. The crab cake is paired with an Avocado Salsa Verde that you'll want more of. What truly sets Stonehouse Restaurant apart, however, is its remarkable setting. Nestled amidst the picturesque grounds of San Ysidro Ranch, the restaurant offers panoramic views of the surrounding Santa Barbara mountains and lush gardens. This along with the amazing service of the restaurant staff makes the entire experience worth it!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate on our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away by the level of service, attentiveness, and quality we received. Antonio our server was phenomenal and made the experience that much better with table serviced smoked drinks to table flambéed bananas foster. 15/10 experience and recommend to every person. We left feeling great about this decision and the experience and can not wait to come back for our 1 year anniversary as a married couple!

Yelp
Update -stellar evening at Stonehouse last night. Definitely "A" game. Service s always impeccable. Food spot on. I love there are never any "surprises" that are usually not good. During Covid they created a combined menu for Stonehouse that was the best of both restaurants-- the downstairs a little more casual. I love that if you're in the mood for upstairs and the that mood you can get a hamburger or ribs or Korean lettuce cups. Or even steak Diane and special smoked cocktails- go enjoy have fun. I'm

Yelp
Chicken Milanese was some of the absolute best chicken Milanese I've had at a restaurant! Also the focaccia they gave us was TO DIE FOR. Would love to package that up and bring it home!

Yelp
(Overall: 95% | A) - For the most part, the food quality is very nice and has some elevated takes on classic American dishes. The main draw of the ranch is of course the ranch itself and it is simply breathtaking. The service is beyond well and this is a restaurant that is definitely worth the sightseeing! (Crab Cake: 100% | A+) - This crab cake was exceptionally well made. The crab was sweet and abundant, driving the natural tenderness of the cake. It paired extremely well with the mango and salsa verde, which added much needed acidity to balance the fried component. (Smoked Blood Orange Cocktail: 107.5% | A+) - At the time I tried this drink, it was $33 but well worth it! The cocktail invites fruit filled flavor from the blood orange, which is then smoked tableside to infuse an intense smokiness into the drink. Personally, I would've preferred the drink to be a little sweeter, but the presentation and technique of this drink was flawlessly executed, from the ice to the salt waterfall to the choice of glass! Highly recommend trying your favorite smoked drink of choice as it is a thrilling and unique experience! (Angus Burger: 60% | D) - This problem may be exclusively a me issue as I opted out of the blue cheese sauce, but I felt the burger to be a bit too diner like -- the plating and the burger itself left a lot more to be desired as I am confident that the chef is capable of elevating this classic into something more innovative and exciting. The truffle fries are nicely done though. (Black Lavender Spirit: 90% | A) - I like the fruit flavor coming from this spirit -- its fruity without being overpowering. The mint is a dangerous infusion, but was a surprisingly moderate flavor that nicely complemented the drink. (Fresh Bread and EVOO: 97.5% | A) - The bread is soft, phenomenal, and absorbs the flavorful extra virgin olive oil like a sponge! Very lovely high quality bread! (Maple Glazed Salmon: 62.5% | D) - At such a refined establishment, one would hope for the quality of food to match. Unfortunately for this dish, the salmon was overcooked and a bit dry. Additionally, the plating here does not make sense unless the greens cover the salmon as if it was an attempt to hide the dryness. The redeeming factor here is that the wild rice and other sides that paired with the dish is pretty decent. However, the main ingredient of this dish is by far lacking. (Kobe Beef Slider: 92.5% | A) - A kofe beef patty paired with flavorful caramelized onions, a handcrafted bun and a secret sauce that adds some bold flavor to the dish! The sliders are well made and pairs well with a refreshing apple, fennel slaw, which is reasonable given the luxurious price point. However, I do feel that there is room for people presentational improvements to match the price point sand quality of food, especially as the slaw collapsed on the plate.

Yelp
This was a once or twice in a lifetime event for us. On our honeymoon we tried the Stonehouse Resto and were so pleasantly surprised. The 500 acres grounds with farm to table produce, the sweeping lemon orchards, the view of the coast! It was endlessly beautiful. We started with a drink and mocktail at the speakeasy, Plough and Angel. It was the first time my new husband found a mocktail he liked that was savory, not sweet. Service was very helpful. I had a wonderful St. Germain Spritz. The dinner and wine list in the Stonehouse was incredible. Our main waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us order. We started with fresh grilled octopus and homemade bread and butter. For the entree, we shared the fresh flown in Dover Sole for two with asparagus and potatoes that was served tableside. The wine list was endless and I was tempted to try a glass of the Yquiem but I'm leaving that for next time (starting at $125/glass). Instead I opted for a 30 year old Tawny Port with a delicious chocolate bittersweet souffle' and my husband had a wonderful lemon tarte made from the Meyer Lemons grown onsite. All in all, we paid $485 including drinks, tips and dinner with dessert for two on April 15, 2024. We are hoping to go for our 5th anniversary.

Yelp
Second time here, love it love it love it. The service was great, cocktails are fancy, and the food quality is really good as well (I love the duck). Not to mention, San Ysidro Ranch is GORGEOUS.

Vanessa R.

Yelp
I have been to the Stonehouse restaurant around 20 times and every time I go I am more impressed by the consistency, beautiful garden scenery, and vibe. The service is top notch ( shout out to Dakota) always remembering your name, and filling up water and drinks without having to ask. They are the perfect blend between attentive without being over bearing. Finally, the food has always been pretty traditional steakhouse bistro vibes, but recently, Tai Warners, influence and love of southeast Asian cuisine has made its mark on the menu with offerings like Korean street style, Bao, tacos, dumplings, and even a super fresh vegan Pad "Ty" . It's really cool to see a little bit of flair on a menu that used to be very traditional.. I love adding a grilled shrimp to my pad Thai. And another little tip is if you go in for Salon service you get a free lunch entrée, which is a great deal!

Yelp
What a fantastic way to spend a birthday. From the gorgeous grounds, unbelievably attentive service (car was waiting for us upon exiting), to the delicious food, Stonehouse and all of San Ysidro Ranch are what I imagine heaven would be like if such a place existed. Well done, Montecito.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Montecito. Absolutely love coming here to dine and explore the surroundings. It's a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Stunning views all around. With so much character and beauty wherever you look. The service here is great. Friendly and attentive staff. The food has good quality and tastes amazing. Never disappoints. I have referred many friends and family to dine here and they have been very happy and thankful. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Overall the evening was beautiful. Service was good. Ambiance was perfect. There was music being played (I can't remember which instrument but it was very relaxing. For an anniversary celebration, dessert should be included. We walked property and it was glorious. So romantic.

Yelp
I came here for their brunch menu and really enjoyed my time. the ambiance is unmatched! it is so beautiful and relaxing there. the crab cakes were fresh and tasted yummy the shakshuka was also great and not too salty the food overall was good but the standout was definitely the environment.

Yelp
Outstanding service above and beyond by the staff--- It was me and my lovely girlfriends 1 year anniversary, so I had been eyeing this place for a while, but I was saving it for something special. I had my reservation booked in advance for an early morning breakfast and the restaurant was just barely opening and yet, the staff blew us away with their ability to assist. I had pre ordered some flowers and a card to the restaraunt the night before, that way they could be set up before we arrived. The staff took time to pay attention to my detailed phone call and set everything up perfectly for us. The flowers, the card, the seating, all of it. Our server was exceptionally kind and even offered to take photos for us. He even brought us out a surprise dessert. It was truly special for my girl and that's what mattered most. I definitely reccomend this restaurant as it has a certain magic feeling to it that you don't typically get at other restaurants. Let's not forget about the rose field right next to it for some insane photo ops.

Yelp
Amazing, memorable, luxurious , classy but don't order the mashed potatoes - a bowl of lukewarm cream and butter with nary a hint of spud. We shared the baked Alaska for dessert which was flamed at the table.

Yelp
One star for the beautiful location and one star for the great service. Zero stars for the food. For the prices I expected a delicious lunch meal. Not so! The salmon was almost inedible. Only the joy of being with old friends and not wanting to ruin the good feelings prevented me from sending it back. My wife's salmon was similarly mushy and tasteless. I sent a letter to the manager the following day. Weeks later and I have not had the courtesy of a response. Interestingly the following day we all had a delicious lunch at a sports bar by the beach. Great food and at 10% of the bill at Stonehouse.

Yelp
Magical experience dining at the Stonehouse. The place itself is super nice and upkept very well. I suggest to reserve a table in the patio under a roof of twinkling lights or outside surrounded by trees that nicely lit. Can't go wrong either way. Their wine menu is extensive and when I say extensive I'm talking like Holy Bible extensive, so wine lovers this place if for you! Our waiter, Trey, was so nice. Very soft-spoken, patient and helpful. He made our evening even better, so thank you for that! Ambience was romantic, classy & elegant. Started with the Spanish Octopus [$35] loved it! Came with one, fat tentacle which was so tender and juicy! Came with a salad and can be shareable, if you don't mind just having a few pieces. Got the Sea Bass [$65] which blew my mind! It was cooked perfectly and the sauce that came with it was just perfect. It was sweet, but not overpowering and the veggies came out perfectly too. I finished everything on that plate! We splurged & got an extra (full) order of the veggie risotto [$42] & was probably the best risotto we've had so highly recommended. We got a side of the Okinawa Sweet Potato [$17] which was pretty good, just didn't have enough room in our stomachs. Capped the night off with their chocolate cake [$21] & a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream [$7.50]. Incredible dining experience here at the Stonehouse. Make sure to check it out when in Santa Barbara!

Yelp
Such a fabulous dinner! My family and I enjoyed our dinner inside of their dining room and we absolutely loved the ambiance inside of the restaurant. The service was incredible all around, from our wonderful server to the sommelier, who helped us find the perfect local wine to pair with our dinner. The wine list itself was 93 pages, so we really appreciated her help while we navigated the list! This was such a special dinner and I'm so grateful to have celebrated my college graduation here with my family.

Yelp
The food here is amazing if you order the right thing. There' s always many options and some taste amazing. The food is definitely the best part except for the ambiance. The ocean views and luscious trees are absolutely beautiful and look amazing. We love the flowers and the hotel is very beautiful. Very expensive, but good food and ambiance. Service is horrible and not welcoming, but the ambiance and food makes up for it.

Yelp
Our cohort of foodies were pretty happy with the food but I think the service and ambiance of this place almost overwhelms the food...almost :) The location itself is a treat and having never been...let's just say I was kicking myself for not coming here sooner. The grounds are absolutely charming in a way that feels inviting. Don't get this mixed up with casual. There are some strong indicators that this place deals with the well to do on a regular basis. Not being from Santa Barbara and only going by what I can read and research I have to say this was a good choice. You will drop a few of the large coins but it's well worth the price of admission. Some of the highlights include the never ending wine list, the sea urchin, the wedge salad and the john dory fish. The service was first rate and I can't imagine a more perfect evening. I can't wait to come again and maybe sit outside right before sunset! Just FYI, the cocktails are off the chain. Stonehouse is one of those places that will live in my memory for a long time.

Yelp
This was our first visit to San Ysidro Ranch to celebrate a birthday with their prix fixe Sunday brunch. The ranch itself is beautiful and lush, and it feels very special dining there and taking a stroll on the historic grounds. You truly can't choose a more serene and lovely locale. As far as brunch itself, it was good. There was nothing wrong with the food, per se. It just wasn't...delicious or memorable. I do feel that, in this place, at this price point, it should be. Service is both attentive and understated, which is especially nice at brunch-time. Champagne (and apparently juice) is included and free-flowing--but we got billed almost $60 for WATER while imbibing "free" Champagne. Overall, I'd like to return to Stonehouse, maybe for dinner, to see if the evening menu is as extraordinary as the property.

Yelp
If you are looking for a romantic special experience, this is one of the best restaurants in So Cal to experience it. It's pricy, but it is worth it... fantastic food, unforgettable ambiance, great service...
