"A favorite with the early morning surf crew that frequent the North Shore, Sunrise Shack has the basics—injected with the latest in wellness—down. Bulletproof coffee is upgraded with grass-fed butter and fragrant Madagascan vanilla. Refreshing acai bowls (some with blue algae whipped in) are topped with a shocking-pink dragon fruit syrup, toasted coconut flakes for crunch, and sweet bee pollen. The Shack’s three founding brothers grew up on these beaches and know exactly what their fellow Hawaiians want first thing: great coffee, fresh fruit, and cheery local banter. "

My go to for the best açaí bowls and coffee in the morning. Everything is fleshly made and super fresh, I also love how they present the bowls (especially the papaya bowl - wow!) out of all Oahu locations probably my favorite ❤️

Located right across from the beach, Sunrise Shack offers a vibrant, tropical atmosphere. The service was friendly and welcoming. Lots of healthy options. I tried the açaí bowl, which was very refreshing but a little too sweet for my liking. The bullet coffee was absolutely delicious, rich and energizing.

Favorite spot to stop at for a quick healthy refuel while exploring the island. The smoothies and especially the papaya bowl is heaven. Staff is friendly. Street parking only. Cute benches to eat or drink.

The spot is beautiful! The servers were very friendly, and the vibes were great in general! Not busy at the time we went, so we got our bowl quickly and were able to sit, eat and enjoy the views!

Love the atmosphere. Coffee was good, but they only had hot available and I wanted iced but it was tasty. Food was yummy!

10/10 for vibes!! This is the best Sunrise Shack. It’s so beautiful and the bowls are to die for. Went multiple times while visiting. The bowls are the best and totally customizable. The girls were so sweet and nice! Definitely would visit again!

Bullet coffee has coconut oil & mct oil in it and they use triple filtered water (I think that’s what it was) which is different but tastes clean & smooth. Açaí bowl was pretty good. Tasted earthy and organic. I’m not a super organic gal and I have a major sweet tooth but the coconut flakes made it a little too sweet for me. Also we came in the morning right when they opened and customer service seemed to be on a 3. I didn’t mind too much but I expected a “rise and shine” greeting lol. Oh, and don’t come here expecting Jamba Juice (I’m actually a fan lol) concoctions lol.

The bullet coffee was well balanced, and the papaya bowl was delicious. However, we were a bit disappointed that the papaya bowl didn’t come with goji berries, blueberries etc as we were expecting, and instead had banana, granola, coconut flakes and peanut butter. That said, the quality was still great and the flavors were on point. What really dampened the experience was the customer service. We were hoping for more of an Aloha spirit, but unfortunately, the girl who took our order was rude, angry, and dismissive. When we asked if it was possible to add spirulina (I had seen it in a review photo paired with a papaya bowl it was like a papaya dream bowl combo), she scoffed and said no, explaining that spirulina isn't a powder ( not sure how that’s relevant). It felt like we were being scolded for making a simple request that we would gladly pay extra for. If it’s not possible, that’s ok, but no need for the attitude. I tried to stay positive, assuming she might just be having a bad day, but when we thanked her, she completely ignored us. Luckily, the location itself was beautiful, with a hen and chicks, as well as bees and butterflies buzzing around all over the place, which helped improve the vibe. The food and coffee did give us a nice boost of energy for a fun surf session. On a positive note, another employee came on shift just before we left and was much friendlier, responding when we said thank you once more and goodbye. Overall, the food and setting were great, but the lack of friendly service was a letdown.
