"This famed whitewashed bungalow has gone through many incarnations over the years, but the unobstructed views of Zuma Beach and good OG-Malibu vibes have stayed consistent. As the name suggests, the sunsets here are epic, so it makes sense that weeknight happy hour stretches till 9pm. Food-wise we suggest sticking to the bar menu in the lounge (ceviche, fish tacos, ribs, and three types of fries) rather than committing to a sit-down in the main dining room. Keep in mind that parking can be a pain on weekends. "

"For dinner, I hit up a great place, the Sunset Restaurant in Malibu. This is an amazing place. Such a vibe and ambiance, with your feet in the sand and the waves crashing. This restaurant has an order of fish tacos that are unlike any others. Normally with fish tacos, two come on the plate, and you’re like, “Okay I’m going to be hungry in 12 minutes.” But these? It feels like the whole fish is in the tacos. You might need two hands for these tacos."

This place is honestly spectacular!!! We had a big party for a birthday dinner for my wife. 4 kids and 3 adults. They were able to find us a spot. The service was on point, food was delicious and the location is amazing. I will be coming back multiple times for celebration or a nice beach day.

The staff here are friendly and attentive. The happy hour menu is available at the bar and front area. If you just want to stop by for a quick and relaxing time, I definitely recommend trying the happy hour menu! It’s also a great place for dinner or a full meal. I had the fried calamari (CALAMARI FRITTI) and the lobster & crab pasta (LOBSTER & CRAB LINGUINE). The pasta came with a slightly curry-flavored sauce and was loaded with generous chunks of lobster and crab meat. And you must try the fried calamari — it was absolutely delicious! The sauce that comes with it is amazing, and although there’s a $1 charge for a refill, it’s totally worth it because you’ll want to dip again and again. The combo is just perfect! Lastly, I also recommend the carrot cake for dessert — it was a great way to end the meal!

Google
A lovely dinner with beachfront views, dog-friendly patio and delicious tropical drinks. Waitstaff were incredibly kind, professional and accommodating and the menu offered something for everyone. We enjoyed the cheese board which came with two types of cheese, fruits and spreads. The Mai Tais were well-balanced and perfect for the beach; and the wine list was full of great selections— we really enjoyed the Malbec. For Entrees we ordered the sea bass and the chicken sandwich, both of which were well-enjoyed. The sea bass was perfectly tender and the Mediterranean olive/tomato sauce on top complimented it well. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience— a perfect place for a beach day — stop in for lunch, dinner or cocktails and enjoy the sound of the waves!

Google
One of the most unforgettable dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was fantastic, but what truly set this place apart was the incredible sunset view over the Malibu coastline. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky lit up with brilliant hues of orange, pink, and gold—absolutely magical. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, and the staff made us feel right at home. Perfect for a romantic evening or a special celebration. Highly recommend making a reservation around sunset—you won’t regret it!

Google
The perfect go to spot especially for happy hour. The beautiful views of the ocean, the wonderful breeze. Amazing atmosphere, friendly service and delicious cocktails and food During happy hour I ordered the shrimp empanadas( flavorful but slightly lack luster 6/10, the sauce it comes with however is delicious and adds to the flavor bringing it to a 8/10) I also ordered the calamari ( good, 8/10 the dipping sauce brings it to a 9/10 The chicken sandwich is the star, JUICY half of my plate was drenched in juices from the meat which was beyond flavorful, fresh toppings and the toasted bread added a much needed crunch, the side salad was good as well 10/10 There is valet parking for $9 in which the attendant is Soo friendly and will even recommend going to enjoy the beach after a meal(which is nice to know you can leave your car for awhile even if you're not at the restaurant anymore

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The suRestaurant, and it was an experience worth remembering. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with tasteful nautical decor that made the perfect backdrop for a seafood feast. Service was attentive and friendly. Our server made excellent recommendations and ensured we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Overall, sunset restaurant delivered on quality, atmosphere, and service. I’d highly recommend it to anyone craving well-prepared seafood in a relaxed, elegant setting. Will definitely be coming back.

Been coming here forever! They slightly changed their menu! Strongly suggest ordering the taco trip with lobster, barramundi and shrimp! Amazing with relaxing beach views! Malibu laid back dining friendly staff and great valet! A must when you're in Malibu! Great wine and beverage selection!

What a wonderful gem I discovered in already wonderful Point Dume! The staff feels like, we’re all already friends, the vibe was wonderful and the view was absolutely stunning! I spent 4 hours here and wouldn’t get enough! My new favorite Monday afternoon spot!

Yelp
What a beautiful place to have lunch and dinner. We celebrated my daughter's birthday here few days ago and had a great time. Customer service was amazing. There were ten of us and everything went so smooth. Usually for large parties the service is not that good. Location is right by the beach. There is valet parking and some street parking. You can take a nice walk by the beach before or after eating here. The appetizers we got were delicious. Guac and chips was perfect. The calamari also was a hit by everyone. We got a pitcher of sangria which tasted good. The main dishes were ok. Probably the best dish was the seafood linguini. The chicken sandwich bread was delicious but there was barely any chicken in it. The flavors were good but I wish the chicken piece was a bit bigger. Same for the fish sandwich. Huge brioche bread and barely tastes the fish. ( this sandwich will taste better in the other bread that was used for the chicken sandwich) ... sweet potato fries was awesome. Overall a great place to eat. The sunset from the outdoor patio was breathtaking. I'll come here again just for that ... so beautiful. And let's not forget the valet guy .... What a service ... wow .... Keep up the great energy .

Yelp
The service was lovely. Beautiful location and scenery. It was a little cold with the windows open in the evening. (Take a jacket) Food was great. I was expecting a little more flavor, but the experience of dining balanced it all out. Consider that the price is more for the location. You can go for a nice walk after dinner.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
The food is just okay, but you really go for the view so they can get away with it. It's definitely overpriced ($19.95 for chips and guac), but if you're feeling spendy, the Brussels are delicious! The Caesar was also great and so were the fish tacos. We had a bottle of wine and my husband got the sunset colada and it was the best cocktail I've had in a minute; it tasted like a key lime pie in a glass. So yum. Overall, I would come back for drinks and the view and skip the food :) Service was great, though!

Yelp
I may have moved but this spot, this way out in Malibu restaurant at the end of an ocean front drive will be a favorite until the end. I've had so many wonderful times here, great meals, fun experiences, lively bar encounters - sometimes mediocre service. The view in the open seating area is great. There is often a breeze. The upstairs is equally majestic and with height comes more shoreline. But it's a totally different vibe. Which is great! Because the outside too has a completely different aesthetic, feel, etc. I love outside too because they have those charming, French Riviera inspired umbrellas at the tables. It feels good. Thoughtful. If in the 'bu you'd be crazy to pass up a visit here. Also scope the black board in the bar for their latest cocktail specials. There is nowhere quite like Sunset restaurant.

Yelp
4 stars instead of 5 just for high prices ($8 for a glad of orange juice). Service was good but not great as we were left needing service several times with bunches of empty tables near us. The house made chips that comes with the guacamole are fabulous.

Yelp
dined 5/11 (Mother's Day) I understand that it's busy on Mother's Day, but when 4 other parties bigger than ours get seated and cleared after we ORDER? That's actually insane. I was with my friend and we got our drinks and appetizers out pretty quick. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts and arancini (vegetarian). They came out warm and delicious. What wasn't great was waiting 1+ for our main entree. Within this time, I am witnessing our server sit, wait, and clear other tables. When our food comes out, part of it is cold. The staff was not very sympathetic and it took multiple times asking to speak to a manager. After talking to him a couple of times, he removed the two entrees from our check. The ambiance is nice, its a little loud inside but the view of the ocean is beautiful - that's its' saving grace. I'd love to give this place another try but for the price point, I really don't want to risk another bad experience.

Yelp
It was as good as always but better Lol because this time this past weekend Saturday there was no wait and table were available like no other. The calm before the storm because I'm sure Sunday would be bananas. Ambiance was very soothing and calm I think I can add this to one of my favorite brash side places. We got the ceaser salad fries , fish sandwich and burger with fries. Parking is very crazy not this past Saturday , it was great no long lines and easy. Until next time guys , see you later.

Yelp
Always love this place - except when we couldn't get in on a random wknd jaunt because it's too busy. Always a good idea to reserve for lunch on a wknd - even just same day. ingredients are clean and crisp aka fresh and tasty and of good quality We must've had everything on the menu - and nothing disappoints. Drinks - great sized drinks and usually pricing. our staples are the vongole, seafood pasta, calamari, crab cakes, truffle fries, tacos, octopus -- heck all are good including its special beach vibes. Oh and of course, service is excellent

Yelp
Valet is $10 - I totally did not mind especially with how nice the men were. They helped me with my friends wheelchair and everything. We had the rigatoni (small portion for $30) but it was yummy and had a good sauce. We also ended up with a burger with truffle fries and a side of ranch (not a good ranch) because they ran out of skirt steak after I ordered. Wish they had a bit more on the menu. Overall I liked it and was nervous about them accommodating a wheelchair but it worked out perfectly.

Yelp
My lovely wife and I are HUGE fans of The Sunset Restaurant in Malibu CA. We come from Oregon to visit family and while in SoCal this stop is a must. Wonderful selection of Lobster tacos, sea bass tacos or tres leches and much more. EVERYTHING on the menu is great! Our waitress Mimi is very attentive and Andre is the Best and most gracious manager EVER! Well worth the trip when dining at TSR in Malibu. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
The Good (OK) - Nothing really stands out as good other than the beach view. The food was just ok. Had the lobster linguine which was pretty average. Not great, not bad either. The Bad - Had the calamari appetizer which totally sucked. No flavor and seemed undercooked. Overall a very overpriced, underwhelming and forgettable lunch. Meh. The valet parking attendants were very welcoming though.

Yelp
Service was okay, i ordered the crab and lobster linguini and it made me sick. Didn't even get to make it through the day before throwing it all up.

Yelp
Amazing!! Gabriela was our server and she was very sweet and attentive. I tried the chicken sandwich this time and that was deliciousss. The bread was so crispy and the sauce in the sandwich with the lettuce tomato, ahh heart eyes. The chicken itself was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sandwich comes with a side salad but I asked if we could sub it for fries and they happily did so. We also got the allegria salad and that was sooo flavorful! I got their espresso martini and loved it. For dessert we got the affogato and even though it's so simple, it was so good! They bring you a tiny mug of freshly made espresso and vanilla ice cream in a large cup so you can pour the espresso in as you please, I loved that. Ty again for a wonderful experience!!

Yelp
Taco trio was delicious. Beautiful ambiance! Great service...not the front desk staff just the rest of the staff members in the restaurant including management. Tuna tartar was bland & can definitely use an aioli or sauce of some sort. The octopus wasnt chewy, it was perfect.

Yelp
Haiku Review **** Bummed burger was mid But fries smashed as did sunset Eileen you are cool (!)

Yelp
The food was REALLY GOOD!! The table next to us ordered the signature Sunset Colada which looked like a dessert in itself!! I rarely drink anymore but I wish I could've just tried a sip of one. It looked delicious. My fish tacos were tasty and I loved the grilled fish and that it wasn't fried. My wife's Waygu burger was also wonderful. Fries were perfect too. The only issue was service was a bit slow and we didn't get napkins so when my wife went up to the hostess table which was right by our table to ask "Are there any napkins up here" the hostess said "no" and went back to talking to a coworker. She may have told our server because he soon passed by with them but her response to us left us a bit put out. Also parking lot is valet $10 and then lots of street parking down the street along the beach if you don't want to valet.

Yelp
right on the water so points for convenience when at point dume beach. got the wagyu burgers and they didn't taste all that great, meat was overcooked and had an aftertaste. enjoyed the burrata tho! the service was very friendly!

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant on the roadside opposite the beach- perfect views of sunset over the water. Friendly service- helped us get a seat by the window so we could watch the sunset (necessary for a sunset lover like myself). Big spacious interior with plenty of seating and lots of windows for viewing the beach. Stunning views if you can catch the sunset with your meal. For food we shared: Clam Chowder, Hamachi sashimi, Linguini clams and fish tacos. The clam chowder was really good- full of flavor, creamy and lots of clam bits in it. The sashimi was a little bland and very thinly sliced- could have skipped on this. Linguini clams were great, nice flavor to the pasta and plenty of clams (our love of clams has no bounds) and the fish tacos were a good size- nice and saucy with a good crispy fish, the shell could have used a little toasting but overall pretty good. We were definitely pretty full after all of this. Nice relaxed environment- it wasnt too busy for a saturday so we took our time to enjoy the views as we ate our dinner- didn't feel rushed which was perfect for our evening.

Yelp
Stunning, amazing, simply the best. My favorite restaurant in all of LA. Must trys: the seafood linguine, the truffle French fries, and the mushroom risotto. GO. What are you waiting for?

Yelp
Best fish and seafood on the coast. Lovely Beach setting, efficient parking, casual quiet dining. Some table actually on the sand- fun! Not stuffy.

Yelp
I am officially a skeptic of any restaurant with a spectacular view after eating dinner at The Sunset Restaurant. Food was okay, but nothing special. Service was absolute trash. It should not take nearly 45 minutes for our drink order to be taken. If the Brussels sprouts appetizer is the best item we ordered and one of us ordered the lobster and crab linguine, something is not working. Slow service, mediocre food, and the owner did a pit stop at our table and gave us a very half ass "how is everything?" only to walk away as we were answering. Save yourself the drive and head to the Trader Joe's frozen section.

Yelp
Great bungalow style restaurant with great beachy decor and dreamy sunset views on a good day. Their staff is always helpful and warm. We usually make reservations just in case their tables fill up although there is a lot of availability inside and outside. The menu has a great range of classic American and more special seafood options. Their poke, halibut and seafood appetizers are worth it!! The spot puts in great effort in their plate presentation and flavor their food pretty well. On my last visit i switched it up and tried their waygu burger and truffle fries. Delicious. They have a great happy hour deal for their well crafted cocktails. Honestly 2 drinks here will have me feeling a solid buzz. Worth it!! Price here is a bit higher, but given the views, ambiance, and ingredients i think it makes sense for a good value. My girl and I are slowly becoming regulars.
google avatar

Sheryl H.

Yelp
I had the best time there. My plan was to get a seat by the window but we had to much fun talking to Elaine the bartender and the other regular Monday night crew that we stayed there and closed the restaurant. Anree took exceptional care of us even though the restaurant was packed. He is quite charming! Of course the sunset was amazing. More like breathtaking. But the good stole the show. We ordered the octopus which was the best I've ever had. Very tender and flavorful. Then the calamari. But my favorite was the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce with fries. OMG! It was tender and delicious. I highly recommend it. Especially since most high end restaurants are closed on Mondays. The only negative is the traffic is horrific. You can plan on it taking 45 minutes to an hour on PCH from Santa Monica. However I think it is worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice relaxing vibe in here. Right across the beach and the food was better than I was expecting. Drinks were good not the best, but service is really slow and never ask if you want something. You need to get someone's attention to order.

C P.

Yelp
Cons: overpriced food, poor quality food and slow service! Everyone in my party of 3 were disappointed with the meals. For that reason, we will not be going back to this restaurant. $25 for eggs benedict is over the top expensive especially when it doesn't taste good. Pros: beach location, seating in the sandy patio, friendly staff and valet.

Sue K.

Yelp
This is a go to restaurant for our family any day of the week. The lobster tacos are mouth watering delicious, and the location and environment always allows for a care free evening filled with laughter. Love this place :)
google avatar

Yelp
Seeking an enjoyable beach day, with delicious seafood, stunning sunset views and desserts you can't resist then the sunset restaurant is the place. Offering Yelp check in for one (FREE glass of La Terre Chardonnay or Cabinet.) which was so refreshing and just the right amount of serving. I recommend the Linguine seafood if you are a seafood lover. It's one of my ultimate favorites and hits the spot with an ended happy dance every time! Definitely explore the sunsets menu food and drinks as you will not be disappointed but leave happy and fulfilled.

Yelp
The Sunset is a good place in a great location, basically on the beach in Zuma, north of Malibu. Good seafood dishes and in general nice vibe!

Yelp
We had great time and great food until we didn't and saw the cops and ended staying 2 days in the hospital getting two broken ribs and a fractured nose. Bartenders and their staff are so polite and had great customer service. Please beware of that black manager guy. He's going to call the cops for no reason if you raise your voice or laugh too much or joking and talking to other people .... I don't remember my whole story for that night but I saw the sheriff department behind us while my Girlfriend was trying to find us a Lyft. We Lyfted from 1.5hrs away to see this place because we saw the owners video. I grew up in Europe and have visited 20 countries and this place reminded me a lot Europe . It was so disappointing for $200 lunch, came 2hrs later after hiking point Dume, then spent more than $400 for dinner. My birthday was ruined here.

Yelp
Great Christmas Eve tradition my husband and i have been coming here for 14 years engaged and this is our first year as a married couple . It started out pretty overcast and foggy but that lifted and the sun is out . Husband had the Salmon with spinach & mashed and i had the pumpkin tortellini with shrimp, blood marry & smokey sunset cocktails (husband is my DD) Dessert was cappuccinos and my favorite tres leches with pistachio . Merry Christmas Everyone!

Yelp
Amazing! The sunset was incredible and the service was amazing and the food was exquisite. Definitely a must visit for when you're in Malibu and you want a great meal and a great view!

Yelp
If I can give a minus 100 for this place for the way manager RON handles things, I would. He is very rude, unprofessional , and prejudice. The only good thing about this place it's an ocean view. Me and my husband was there few weeks ago. The food was Meh , nothing special. We ordered seabass and it was not good at all. They put tomato sauce with olives and capers which made dish sooo salty. Linguine was a little better. Sunset colada was a rip off , because they put so much whipped cream, that left very little for an actual drink. After dinner valet parking was trying to charge us $50 by pressuring of an assumption, that we went to the beach before dinner( we did not go to the beach). My husband forgot his cap( which had a sentimental value to it. It was gifted by our daughter from her very first paycheck) and called right after we got home. Whoever answer the phone acknowledged the lost item and we asked if they can mail it to us. The answer was( manager) :" We'll, I don't have that kind of money ". The next day we issued a prepaid label from the UPS and emailed it to the manager , so they can" afford" to mail it to us( we live around Burbank, CA) . Back and forth millions of calls of confirmation with Ron( manager) and hearing all the accusations from him , that's it's our fault, that we forgot the cap ,ect... until he said , that it's nowhere can be found. SHAME ON YOU! SUNSET RESTAURANT AND THE MANAGER RON / owners for such a disgraceful and disrespectful way of handling situations like ours . Never again we will return to this place, nor our friends and relatives.

Soggy C.

Yelp
DISGUSTING. Homophobic waiter. Had to ask for water both times. Couldn't get waiter to come by. Food was seriously gross, made me sick. When I stepped outside, I said to my friend "it's a beautiful view here, a shame the food is disgusting" and a couple folks also exiting looked back and laughed in agreement. Don't go here, spend your money elsewhere!!!

Yelp
Another great experience everyone is so nice and pleasant, food was great and the view well it's an experience for sure. thank you so much for making me feel right at home in this iconic place. love it and definately coming back with friends or just to get away from it all and have a peaceful meal by the beautiful ocean.

Yelp
We started with Calamari, shared a Caesar salad then mushroom risotto. Everything was excellent, the service was great and the view is unbelievable!!

Yelp
Made a reservation for here on a Friday at 6 pm to celebrate a friend's promotion. It was chilly and windy outside so we were sat inside by the windows. It's actually a huge restaurant, larger than what I expected from the outside. The inside is very beach themed, with wooden features and cabana-style architecture and decor. It's a very cute restaurant that is good for both groups and a date. They do have valet parking but we were able to park on the side of the street not too far away. I have actually come to Point Dume many times and this street can be very packed when there's nice weather so plan accordingly. I decided to get the Pink Elephant drink, my boyfriend got the Mangolicious, and my friend got the Paloma Sunset. All drinks were strong but delicious. The Pink Elephant was the sweetest and personally my favorite. We weren't extremely hungry so my friends just got the clam chowder and a Caesar's salad while my boyfriend and I got the fritto misto (part of the specials) and the spicy ahi tuna tartare. The ahi tuna was delicious. I wish it came with more of the fried wonton crisps but all the ingredients were fresh and excellent. The fritto misto was delicious as well, lots of large shrimp and calamari but the thinly sliced zucchini was overcooked and tasted slightly bitter. I still ate it all. The lemon came in a cute little net to catch seeds and other lemon solids. For dessert the four of shared the pistachio tres leches and the tiramisu. Both were so good and bigger portions than expected! The tiramisu was sweeter and had 2 small crunchy wafers while the tres leches had lots of pistachio sprinkled on top. Both were soft and had great flavor. Would get either again. Overall an excellent experience and went above expectations for a restaurant with such a great location. Prices for drinks and dessert were lower than expected while food prices were reasonable. Staff was friendly and quick the entire time and the ambiance is perfect for a casual/fancier beach meal. Will definitely come again!

Yelp
I came here with my family after beach day, We ordered tuna tartar and grilled octopus for appetizer. For main course we got burger, black mussels, fish tacos and chicken sandwich. Octopus was cooked perfectly considering how hard that is. Black mussels sauce was so goood i could eat it with a spoon. Also burger, chicken sandwich and fish taco were amaizing too. We got sunset cocolada drink it was light, refreshing perfect for after beach. Service was on point, our server was i think Ted. He was very polite and fast. After reading some bad reviews we were little sceptical but our expirience was nothing but great.

Lekieah W.

Yelp
The food is just okay. I wouldn't go for the food, but more so the view. Service was decent, he didn't really recommend his top dishes or drinks. I wish he gave more of an overview, especially since the price is pretty steep for everything. Overall 6/10.
google avatar

Zoe B.

Yelp
The atmosphere, servers, service, drinks, and views were great. What wasn't great was the food. I had the Seafood Linguine and while it tasted decent, every piece of seafood was over cooked and nearly unchewable. My friend had the bolognese rigatoni and the flavor and texture of the meat tasted not too far off from a powdered meat substitute. After this, I then experienced a night of sickness which was caused by none other than the only food I had that day. If I'm going to be eating what I assume to be fresh seafood by the beach, I expect it to be cooked well and to not give me food poisoning--especially if such food is going to cost $35+ per plate.

Yelp
Sooo yummy! Def loved the vibe and the food was delicious! Definitely get the tuna tartar and the beet salad! It was amazing ! we came with our kids and they loved the French fries, Mac n cheese, and chicken tenders. One of my favorites is the tacos! The fish and lobster ones are my favs.
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Questionable seafood, but amazing views, drinks and service made up for all of it! As you can guess from the name, this is an incredible place to watch the sunset. It's just steps away from the beach and there are big panoramic windows that face the ocean. The perfect spot to grab a bite and a drink during happy hour! Unfortunately the food was not great. We ordered fish tacos that were covered in fish skin. This was really unappetizing, and I'd definitely avoid again at all costs. I hate sending food back, so luckily our server was super sweet and apologetic. We tried the calamari instead, but this was also just okay. Super rubery and not the freshest tasting. Lackluster food aside, this is a must visit for oceanfront drinks in Malibu during the golden hour.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
This was so delicious! It was a such a beautiful location, I got the seat looking out the window onto the beach. Our waiter was mean which kind of brought down the vibe and the table next to us was inches from ours, so that was uncomfortable. Note: My boyfriend has been here before and he said that it can be hit or miss.

Sherry R.

Yelp
I came here with my friend for lunch over the weekend because she wanted to try it. It's not bad, just a mediocre experience. The food was good, but nothing great. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday during lunch time, even though the beach area was packed. We had a table next to the window and the view was great. It definitely more of a place to stop by if you happen to be in the area and hungry, rather than drive to. I got the fish tacos and added guac to it. The tacos were tasty, but the guac had a tangy taste to it, so I didn't eat it. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will stop by if I happen to be in the area. Aside from the view (if you get a window seat) it is a very average restaurant - def more location than anything.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and romantic location! The food was exquisite, the service impeccable, amazing ambiance, pristinely clean restaurant and restrooms, gorgeous view, and despite it being a very busy night on Valentine's Day, the manager and owner were checking on everyone and making sure everything was top notch. We could not have asked for a better experience! We had the scallops to start, then sashimi and steak for our entrees. The food was flavorful, fresh, and absolutely lovely in every way. The steak was part of the Valentine's Day special menu so it even came with a complementary glass of Prosecco (yum) and we ordered a raspberry chocolate martini for dessert as well and it was divine! We will be back for sure! The manager Ron went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our evening and mentioned that they were just getting back on their feet after all the recent fires so be sure to visit these restaurants that are open again! You won't be sorry. We cannot wait to go back! Thanks for an amazing dinner, Sunset!!

Yelp
Came here for a team event and loved it! Even though we were unlucky with the weather and got caught in a downpour, the food more than made up for it. We ordered calamari, raw seafood platters and I got the seafood linguine for my entree. Everything was super tasty and well cooked! One minor nit with the calamari is that the breading on the outside didn't seem that well attached, it fell off very easily and you had to be pretty careful with eating it lest it fall onto the table (and go to waste). Seafood linguine was an incredibly generous portion and I left feeling stuffed. Perfectly cooked seafood and noodles; the sauce was a little bit on the sweeter side due to them using sweeter tomatoes. I like my tomatoes and my tomato sauce a little more tangy but not a huge deal overall. Spice level was just right on the linguine and I could taste the red pepper flakes. The virgin Pina Colada was also very well made and easy to drink!

Yelp
Recently stopped in two different evenings to watch March Madness basketball. Hung out on the couch in the bar area and happy hour was perfect. Great drinks...really good menu. The drive on Kanan Dume Road through the canyon was easy and PCH was not congested.

Yelp
The Sunset Restaurant is truly one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. It's right on the beach and you can even sit outside. So far my favorite food on the menu is the clam chowder & seafood pasta. I enjoyed every single bite I took and can't wait to come back and enjoy another beautiful sunset lunch with my friends and family. The best place to go during summer!
