The Sunset Room

Phillips Protective has provided security for Sunset Room, their guests and talent for 2 years. This is one of the best venues we serve. Without fail, clients and guests leave happy. It’s a laid back, fun, and safe venue for special events. The staff *cares about your experience and they treat everyone with respect. Highly recommended!

We just had our wedding shower at The Sunset Room and it was the perfect event space all around! All members of the staff were super friendly, personable, and efficient, and the space was lovely. The stage, lights, and music setup was perfect for our needs. Kira made the process incredibly easy! She was amazing to work with and we would definitely return to The Sunset Room for future events. Highly recommend!

I liked the ambiance of this venue, it was an open enough setting which made it easy to navigate and connect with folks. I'm not sure if it was because the doors were open or not but it was quite warm inside. If you're looking for a venue that has an open layout but still makes you feel connected, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

As an event production and furniture rental company in Austin, we have hosted many events at The Sunset Room. Ellie Little and the team are always very accommodating and every event has run without a hitch! The space is intimate enough to mingle, but large enough to full spread out with different vendors and activities. We love hosting and decorating at The Sunset Room, highly recommend!

Seeing the Disney Jazz night with my beautiful daughter was a wonderful treat for me. It was really nice to have a mother daughter date. Music was amazing and so memorable. Truly a date night dream come true. 💛🩷🥰 Not to mention, the food was great as well.

The Sunset Room is a cool new venue in Austin. I was there for the opening of the place with a bunch of comedians and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It’s a good space with tables spaced out. I bet the Sunset Room will be able to squeeze a lot of people in when COVID is done. I’ll be back here for more laughs.

We had a great 1.5 day workshop at The Sunset Room in September 2019. Not only was the space beautiful and a perfect fit for our group, Ellie made planning the whole thing easy. She coordinated rentals, was always on top of staffing needs, and helped us find a fantastic caterer. Their day-of staff was attentive, friendly, and also on the ball with every detail. I would love to use this venue for future events, and highly recommend them!

This place doesn't care about disturbing any other businesses in the area. I stayed at a hotel a block away & on a high floor and could hear the music until 2am.

Came to sunset room for NYE celebration and WOW, what a night!! The space is pretty big (the photos online don't do it justice). They had multiple photo-op areas, 2 bars, DJs and performers. The masquerade theme was a lot of fun and it was nice to see that all the party attendees played along with the theme too. Great way to bring in the new year!!

Garbage place in Austin. If you habmvr a payed ticket for there New Year's party they will make you wait outside for 40 min. Inside they will have no seating and the bouncer in the front will be preocupied but the girls he is attracted to and make you wait longe. Whole inside you will have a minimally staffed bar and you will have people ready to throw you out because they see you having a conversation with your girlfriend that was not heated or physical or load

I'm surprised Austin didn't have a bigger stand up scene yet but was excited for a new venue opening up and promising a solid lineup flying in from around the country - well, they say world. First, the place isn't really a comedy club but a makeshift room with folding chairs for the night. The experience wasn't so good. The comedians were a mixed bag - some keeping the crowd laughing and others just ripping on the crowd with no wit. I know this is not the best of LA. At $45 a ticket, I'd say only 2 of the 6 comedians delivered an actual performance. The drinks at $12 is ridiculous because it's a tiny plastic cup of ice. I'd recommend get your cocktails elsewhere. They have a 2 drink minimum but you can get water or soda or something else. The staff is rude and overall unhelpful.

We just had a company reception this past Sunday during a conference that was in town and literally right next door to the Convention Center in downtown Austin. Emilee was very communicative and accommodating of all our requests and Kira, our contact for the evening of our event, was very friendly and made sure everything was just right. And what a cool venue for an event like this. The decor, bar, stage, lighting, vibe...everyone raved about what a great place and reception it was. Usually for an event like this, clients come and go throughout the night. But everyone stayed the entire time because they were enjoying themselves so much! I would do another event here anytime.

Ellie and all of the staff (Katy, Ben, Carly) are the best. SUPER accommodating and kind. They helped us get water and ice the HOUR OF THE EVENT when we forgot. The outside sign is a really nice touch as well. What else do I need to say!

This is a great venue for an intimate show or event in the heart of downtown! Very clean and super friendly staff. I've been to several events here and definitely at the top of my list!

We threw our annual corporate party at The Sunset Room and it was a great experience. The team was very accommodating, friendly, and super helpful through the whole process. The venue itself is gorgeous (ask them to show you their sunset lighting). It has a nice sized stage, a large bar, and plenty of room for dancing and other entertainment. The day of staff were so so helpful and attentive. They really went above and beyond to make sure our event went off without a hitch. Only downside I'd point out (and the venue has already said they'd address it!) is that some random folks wandered in thinking it was a public venue because the door wouldn't shut completely. Our party was just so hopping they couldn't stay away. :-P

Perfect venue for our wedding reception! We had a cocktail style wedding reception (i.e. not much seating/no full meal) and The Sunset Room was the perfect venue! It looked great with really no decor added, held over 200 guests without crowding, and the staff (including bartenders) were great! The owner made it easy for us to coordinate details and because they manage their own security and staffing for the bar, it saved us a lot of coordination. The price point is also incredibly reasonable. We are so glad we chose The Sunset Room!

My sorority had our formal here in December of 2017 and everyone loved it. The venue is so beautiful and right in the heart of downtown so people are able to go out and about afterwards if they wished. The only thing negative I have to say about this is the floors are so nice that I would hate to ruin them with heels!

Best venue space in Austin. Staff was awesome, such a wonderful experience. Our event went flawlessly thanks to staff! Not to mention how beautiful the space is. 11/10 would recommend!

We looked all over for the perfect wedding venue and finally found it when we visited The Sunset Room. It ended up being the perfect size and was already so cute with its white brick walls and green plants, we didn't need to do much to make it look beautiful and classy. Besides the amazing building, the staff made our event so much more special. Ellie, director of events, was readily available for all my questions and concerns, especially when covid became a factor. The staff was so attentive and friendly, it really made a big impact on our event. Overall, The Sunset Room was an amazing venue and if we every have another event, we will definitely use them again.

The Sunset room is a fantastic venue. I coordinated a Corporate event there and Ellie and her staff were communicative, friendly, and consistently went above and beyond what could have been expected. I plan on doing as many events as I can there moving forward, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a modern and elegant venue.

I attended a convention at the Sunset Room right across from the Austin convention center and it was a super cool corporate party venue with cool retro decor, a coffee bar, a live band and an awesome outside patio with a food truck. The management was awesome and i would highly recommend this venue for parties and special events.
