"With great views of Beach Creek on display at each level of this double-decker restaurant, you’ll almost forgive the parking hunt you continually face when coming to one of the most popular places in Wildwood. We are major fans of Jesters, the sister-spot to Surfing Pig and owned by the same company -- and Surfing Pig did not disappoint! The location is incredible; right on the water with a gorgeous view of a little marina. There is a small parking lot, and adjacent street parking. We arrived at opening time during the week and had no wait. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Loved everyone we encountered. Drinks were delicious. I had the Cape May Lemonade, and I'm definitely coming back for another! Can't wait to try the Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita! Portions are huge and food is delicious. The people next to us ordered the Salmon Salad and I snapped a picture because it looked so incredible! Pulled pork nachos were super yum, and the poke bowl is our usual go-to (a menu item also at Jesters that we get every time). Never disappoints! A thousand percent recommend this little gem, and also their Dive Bar, Jesters, only 15 minutes away in Rio Grande.

This place was the first place we took our puppy with us for lunch & he loved it! Kristin & the rest of the staff were wonderful to us & our puppy:-). They gave him a bowl of water without us even asking. This place also had a small menu for dogs! The food & drinks were delicious! There was live music & the view was beautiful. I would totally recommend going here with your pup or without lol.

Google
Honestly do not understand why such a hype for this place. The view is pretty good, but food can definitely do better. Rack of ribs were not hot or tender enough when served, pulled pork sandwich had big chunks of pig skin/fat in it, also not saucy enough.

Google
It’s so hard to find good food off-season down the shore, but oh my GOD. the surfing pig is a place you MUST go. I can’t get over the brisket grilled cheese. I was expecting a little sliver of brisket. NOPE. I have to attach a picture because you wouldn’t believe how stuffed with brisket this sandwich was if I just told you. The crab quesadilla was bangin. The fish tacos. Oh god. So good. Everything was fantastic. Live music, amazing customer service, just wonderful all around. Can’t wait to come back. Add sushi to the menu and I won’t go anywhere else when I’m in wildwood this summer. 🫡

Google
The food was great. My watermelon crush, not so much. Fun experience getting to eat at the bay.

Google
Food was amazing & atmosphere was very nice! The pulled pork tacos were delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

Google
Their signature dish brisket cheese steak was very delicious. My husband ordered blacken chicken and he loved it as well. We’ll definitely go back again!

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by going here. You may need to wait for a table. They are open all seasons so it is especially peaceful and cozy in the dead of winter.

Yelp
I was SO happy with my experience here! Just such a fun vibe. Went with a group of four, including my 3 year old son, very family friendly! Great open air beach restaurant, great view regardless of where you sit. The food was pretty good over all. All the bbq we tried (burnt ends, pulled pork and ribs) were awesome!! The chicken tenders a little soggy (it was off the kids menu to be fair, and my son did not mind at all) and I'd probably skip the Mac n cheese next time, felt a little under seasoned to me. Corn bread was really good though! Overall we loved it. *theres a parking lot, so you don't have to worry about street parking!

Meredithe M.

Yelp
Ordered some oysters and a tuna poke bowl. They were delicious; will be back again to try more things. The man playing on the back deck was awesome. I'd come just to listen to him again. The waiter was great and never kept the table waiting. Atmosphere is family friendly and busy!

Yelp
Quick | View | chicken and waffles Quick - we showed on Tuesday for a late lunch. The restaurant was 1/4 filled and the bar was 1/3 filled. We were seated and served very quickly. View - the view is pretty ideal. You have a picturesque view of the water and the homes on the water. The sunset would be great from half the tables in the first floor. Chicken and waffles - I had the chicken and waffles which was solid. The chicken to waffle ratio was 1:1 meaning for every bite of chicken was a bite of waffle. The chicken was a fried thigh without the bone. Why not 5 stars? - it wasn't special. It is a solid spot with a great view and good vibes. But it isn't a restaurant that has a WOW quality. I would happily go again but it isn't a place that is "can't miss" or "plan your travel around" level. Pro tip: they have 10+ slips dedicated to boats/jet skis. So feel free to pull up via the water.

Jim L.

Yelp
This place has decent food at decent price. Their bbq sauces are not bad and their seafood is not bad too! We've been coming back here again and again for awhile now

Cam F.

Yelp
Great oysters! Service was fine. The old fashioned wasn't great. The view is beautiful.

Linda M.

Yelp
A quick stop on our afternoon bike ride. The Tuna poke nachos were so yummy with tons of tuna chucks. The wonton chips were a different take on nachos. We also order the fish bites. The husband's loves them but the wives thought they were a little too mushy. Overall a great stop for drinks and snacks. We would love to come back for dinner. Next vacation.

Raymond S.

Yelp
The food here is fine. Not great like so many reviewers state. The excellent sauce hides the dry meat. The service and personel are very friendly. However, this review isn't about any of that. It's a matter of them being ethical. I decided to pay my tab with cash instead of succumbing to the restaurant scam of charging to use a credit card. The charge was only $1.42, but I have the cash, so why not use it. After paying the $58.40 bill with a $100 bill I received $41 from my server. Where's my 60 cents. They want to not be bothered with change, that's fine, so you eat the 40 cents. Why should these thieves steal from cutomer after customer. If they don't think 60 cents is a big deal, than either is 40 cents, so give it to your customers who are overpaying for beer and food anyway. I hope the surfing pig is happy loosing customers one at a time. There business is huge, so one person doesn't mean anything, but multiple that by the hundreds of .60 cents they steal week after week. There business practice stinks.

Cindy M.

Yelp
Live music and bbq 7 nights a week. That alone should have you here. The service was great. Line not long (off season). Reservations not accepted. The view is breathtaking. Decor is cool We really enjoyed our meals. I can't wait to bring visiting family here. I'll be back

Scott P.

Yelp
I like this place but had to drop a star given how much of a disaster they were around lunchtime. My wife and I walked in through the back entrance to sit at the bar, but there were no seats. So we walked through the restaurant, which was almost filled entirely with empty tables, only to be told by the hostess there was a 15-minute wait. Huh? Why? I'm not sure if the transition from serving breakfast to lunch is just fundamentally flawed at this place or if their just really short staffed....but come on. There were 15-20 people waiting outside to be seated for lunch at an empty restaurant. Something is very wrong with that on a Friday afternoon in the summer at the jersey shore. My wife and I left after about 15 minutes 9f waiting, went elsewhere, and were seated immediately. I like the food and location, but this last experience was a bad one. I'll probably go back....but absolutely never again between 11am and 1pm. That was a mess.

Yelp
Great place with a beautiful view. This place does get crowded so be prepared to wait. Our server was friendly and attentive, it did not take long for the food to come out, and the food was very good. My food was delicious, but next time I am definitely ordering their bbq options. Appetizer I ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Big jumbo pieces of shrimp, but only 5 shrimps and an uneven number to share an app with. I ordered the black pepper crusted ahi tuna. The tuna was fresh and delicious. The seaweed salad that came with it and was the only side was bad. My bf and I always order seaweed salad, but we both agreed it was probably the worst. Our friends didn't eat it and I saw a few other tables not touch the salad either. It was not nasty, it just lacked a lot of flavor. My bf ordered the shrimp tacos and that deserves a 10/10. A ton of shrimp inside and they were so tasty and a tad bit sweet. The entree comes with 3 big and filling tacos with tasty steak fries. Great price for the amount of tasty food you get. My friends ordered the crab cakes and both raved about it! I would definitely come back and try their bbq and reorder their shrimp taco!

Amy P.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink and sat outside. Drinks are always excellent here. Really strong and really tasty. This place is always consistent. I didn't have time on this vacation to have dinner here or breakfast, but it's on the list for next time!

Lee H.

Yelp
Very good food and large portions Attentive service on a busy Saturday night Very very loud with live music and customers almost having to yell to be heard. We will come back for the food during the week or order take-out and pick it up.

Gwen P.

Yelp
The sliders were a little drier than I expected them to be. I ended up slathering the tartar sauce onto the buns to add some more flavor. I wish the coleslaw that came with it was a little wetter. It seemed just like crunchy cabbage pieces to me. The buns were very soft and buttery though, which I enjoyed. The martini was also decent and came out quickly. The tuna starter also lacked some flavor. The sauce seemed to be soy sauce with wasabi in it, but it was super strong so it burned in a grip-the-table kind of way. If you like that feeling though and if you're a fan of tuna, then I guess it's a decent starter! Ultimately, we should've ordered more of the barbecue, since that's what they specialize in, but we weren't starving. Just looking for something to snack on. Oh well.

Lacey G.

Yelp
Shrimp wrap was good, nothing spectacular. This was the worst bloody Mary I have ever had. I ordered the chum bucket bloody Mary ($16). It was so watery. I asked for some extra bloody Mary mix on the side thinking it would add a little thickness. No. That was so watery and that seemed to be the problem. The crab at the bottom did not fit through the straw. You have to eat it with a fork and I bit into shell numerous times. I ordered it spicy and it had zero spice. Crab quesadillas were just ok. Very thin. Would not return. The only thing I enjoyed were the views.

Cait H.

Yelp
So glad we decided to stop by for lunch! This cute little bayside spot has total Key West vibes + great food & cocktails to match! It was the switchover between breakfast & lunch when we arrived and there were not seats at the bar to wait but our server, Marie, saw us standing around & was kind enough offer us a table to get drinks at while we waited. That was awesome & we both ordered a "Wake Up with Maddie" cold brew drink to start things off! When I saw Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos on the menu I had to try them! I'd just had them at another spot & wanted to compare. These were great in their own way with seaweed salad on them & a wasabi sauce to give them a kick! The nachos totally would have been enough in their own but I'd also ordered the Sliders Trio. They were ok, little kings Hawaiian rolls would be perfect because the buns were heavy, the pulled pork was my favorite! I also tried their Tequila Sunrise Mimosa, which was great! All in all, a wonderful experience! I want to go back to try the breakfast next time I'm down.

Mark K.

Yelp
Great variety of food and very filling! Nice atmosphere on the bay with a view of the sunset.

Alexandra I.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place. From the drinks to the food, we will definitely be back. The only reason for a deduction of a star is because the food does not seem to be consistent. This was our 4th or 5th time going and, while we haven't had a terrible meal, sometimes the food isn't to the same taste/quality we've had another time. It is a different cuisine than is typically around here. We love the bbq food, especially the cheesesteaks and burgers. We also love the view! Definitely need to try if you're around here.

Leah T.

Yelp
This was our second time trying the Surfing Pig and what it lacks in food and service, it makes up for in ambiance which is how they get away with charging the prices they do. The sunsets over the bay is extraordinary but the food does not match the views. For breakfast, our mimosas were lukewarm at best. The day after the power outage I could give some grace and leeway but three days later, the Brut should be cold. The steak and eggs ranges from $25-50 which would be valid if it was decent. Overmedium eggs were hockey pucks and the mid rare steak arrived well done and covered in gristle. Our server was nice and attentive; she kept our coffee warm and our kids happy. I *really* want to like this place but after two similarly expensive and lackluster experiences, I'm over it; there are two many better options around town to keep throwing my money away.

Frankel S.

Yelp
The only reason I give them 4 stars vs 5 is the cost. I had their loaded Bloody Mary for $18, very good but honestly, with so much ice, barely had a few sips. I Had the crab cake sandwich, very good. Firecracker shrimp and wings were really good too. Fish tacos, poke salad, burgers were all really good too. I think drinks, a dozen oysters etc put us over the edge with dinner for 5 including tax and tip being $275 but it was kinda self inflicted. You can do dinner less expensively than we did. Service was only ok, adequate, though the hostess originally told me 30 min wait, turned out to be 10. The view was wonderful and I can recommend it easily. They have a small Parking lot that was full but we had no issue finding street parking. Recommend it.

S S.

Yelp
Good BBQ had the sample. Service was friendly. It's nice to sit next to a window with water view.

Rick ..

Yelp
Great location overlooking water and pier. Traditional bbq mixed with pub fare, including fresh seafood options. All was tasty and satisfying. Quality cocktail and beer choices.

Bobby M.

Yelp
Surfers burger was great, wish they added a little more sauce to spice it up, but Pattie's and burgers mixed well and tasted fresh and burger was juicy. The bun was buttered well and had a great flavor.service was nice and you're posted right along the water so you can enjoy the breeeze and the great sites.

Yelp
Surfing Pig's chocolate waffles stand out as a culinary masterpiece, captivating the taste buds with their irresistible richness and decadence. The waffles, expertly crafted to achieve the perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and a moist, fluffy interior, serve as the ideal canvas for the star ingredient--high-quality, velvety chocolate. Each bite unveils a symphony of flavors, as the chocolate melds seamlessly with the golden waffle, creating a harmonious blend of sweetness and depth. The careful attention to detail and commitment to using premium ingredients make Surfing Pig's chocolate waffles a culinary sensation, leaving patrons with a memorable and indulgent dining experience that sets them apart as the purveyors of the best chocolate waffles.

Lisa W.

Yelp
The perfect shore place for breakfast! The food was amazing, the service was exceptional, and the waterfront view completed the experience! They offer so many great choices for breakfast/brunch, including their skillet dishes that come in a small cast iron skillet. They also have a great variety of brunch drinks, like a specialty mimosa and their famous Bloody Mary, which is a meal unto itself! I can't wait to go back, and I highly recommend!

Greg L.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a friend so stopped in here for dinner one evening. We ended up waiting close to 45 minutes but in the end, it was worth the wait! It's all outdoor seating and unfortunately, our seat faced right into the sunset, so I had to go get my sunglasses to prevent being blinded throughout dinner. The view overlooking the bay though was nice but they didn't have any ability to block the sun. Adding some roll up shades that they can bring down at times would be nice. Our waitress was very good and ensured our drinks were always filled. Really enjoyed my strawberry daiquiri here--one of the better ones I've had in the area. It's a mix of BBQ and seafood on the menu. My son had the beef brisket, which he really enjoyed, especially their sauce. I went with the South Dock Crab Cake Sandwich, which had a Key Lime tartar sauce on the side. There was a hint of key lime, but I was hoping it would have been a bit stronger. The crab cake was good, but certainly smaller than the bun it came on. Overall, food was good but it is very pricey for what it is. Parking can be a challenge but we were fortunately to find a spot in their pretty small parking lot.

Dennis P.

Yelp
This place is so popular that a 45 minute wait is the norm. Food and location on the water are great. Cool bay breeze! I had the St Louis style ribs and they were delicious. Staffing leaves a little to be desired. When I asked how much longer Hostess had my name already crossed off and we were then seated immediately. That was after an hour wait. Dinner was served about 2 minutes after the appetizer which we were still eating. Service could be improved but food is worth the wait.

Katie G.

Yelp
This place is wonderful but it's generally packed. An hour wait is normal. Don't go starving. The views, the service and the food are outstanding. Hence the wait. Enjoy.

Richie G.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill- beware!!!- was there a couple of days ago with family at 5 pm to avoid the crowd, they gave me a hard time about sitting in the empty back of the place, over the water with a breeze for some unknown reason. The server was wonderful, so kind and sweet yet the food was below average and the clams came out. Six of them were unopened, and then they brought us back. The same clams opened very hesitant to eat them. Also, the ribs were old meat not cooked that day for sure. I've been to this place a couple times over the years. I was never unhappy, but I'm very concerned about the poor quality of this meal and the price paid.Is it a trend?I will let others decide. Not for me anymore

Kevin G.

Yelp
I always come to this place when I'm in Wildwood. Great view over the bay, great prices on food and drink, great servers and the occasional live performer. Go to's include Raw Oysters and Seared Tuna w/ Seaweed Salad. I like to explore the menu and have done their Grilled Fish Tacos, Brisket Fries, and Pulled Pork Sandwich. Breakfast is cool too. I've had he Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. This place is dog friendly and they will walk you around the back to the far side of the deck which works well.

joe y.

Yelp
Nice setting. Good service. Good drinks. Bar type food. Tasty brisket quesadilla. Good crab cakes. Great lunch spot in Wildwood

Steve R.

Yelp
We go to Wildwood almost every year and never heard of this great spot before. Great location, in a marina, right on the water and if you're craving some good BBQ, this is the place for you. We were seated at a great table with a nice view of the water. Our waitress, who was super friendly and attentive, started us off with a couple of drinks. Now this is my only negative as I love a good martini and the Bombay Sapphire one I ordered wasn't quite up to par. Very weak and way too much vermouth. Also my wife's mojito was not very strong. Other than this, everything else was great, including the Delaware Bay Oysters we had. Fresh, delicious and served with a red wine mignonette and lemon. Since this was just lunch, I went with the Brisket Cheesesteak, loaded with shredded brisket and topped with a homemade BBQ sauce. I love brisket, I love cheesesteaks and I loved this sandwich. My wife went with the Brisket Grilled Cheese, slow smoked brisket with gooey American cheese on buttered and grilled Texas toast. This sandwich was also delicious. All in all this is a great place come when you're in Wildwood. I saw one reviewer say it has kind of a Key West vibe and I totally agree. This will be a regular stop from now on.

Danielle B.

Yelp
We visited the restaurant earlier in the week on Monday; around 430pm. Was my mom, my two young girls and I. Seated quickly. The kids each got the kid's macaroni and cheese- good portions for kids. Crab cake sandwiches is what my mom and I each got. Hers with just the chips and I upgraded to the fresh cut old bay fries- definitely recommend. Our waitress was sweet; fast service to my younger kids too! Their meals were brought out first (5 stars in my opinion when out with littles). Both of my girls were also sharing my moms chips. The waitress offered the girls own bags of chips as well. Bonus! Mojitos were refreshing after a day at the shore. We left around 530pm - the wait for tables was about 45 minutes at that time of the day. We also had a nice dock side table - good view of the boats.

Julia P.

Yelp
Always a great meal! The servers are amazing, such a good shore vibe. Definitely try their firecracker shrimp!

Gloria M.

Yelp
Great all around. Service. Food is excellent. Music is nice and entertaining. Ambiance is relaxed

Ann D.

Yelp
Very dissapointed. We did a take out order for a chicken sandwich and a beef brisket sandwich. the total was $43. The price was ok however for a $18 beef brisket sandwich that has nothing else on it but brisket there should be enough meat on there to support the price. The chicken sandwich was ok. I have dined in there before and thought the food was good so I tried take-out. Do not recommend take out.

Heather D.

Yelp
Recommend the Firecracker shrimp tacos! Do not go during a storm near high tide road floods.

Mason E.

Yelp
Very good food and service. The BBQ combo was huge and great! There was a great view of the bay and I will defiently be back there soon. Maddie was an excellent waitress.

Max A.

Yelp
Will not go back ordered a pulled chicken sandwich for take out and this is what I got the top bun was completely destroyed so I threw it away but other from that this is exactly how it was served to me. Also there is barley any sauce on it

John S.

Yelp
A disappointing takeout experience for a few reasons. The sides, which are always a great indicator of how robust a BBQ place's non-smoking skill set is, were very underwhelming. The baked beans were under seasoned and soupy. The cole slaw was entirely undressed - no Mayo or vinegar or anything identifiable in there except for shredded cabbage. As far as the BBQ went, the brisket's fat was rendered but the meat itself was dry. Beyond the smoke ring, there was no flavor at all. I also tried the pulled pork (decent) and pulled chicken (under seasoned as well). And no BBQ sauce was included, which probably would've helped the dry brisket. I'm in no rush to go back. Eating there might improve the experience, but the food underwhelmed me so much that I'd rather go elsewhere anyway.

Joe B.

Yelp
Such a relaxing spot. Had an excellent Bloody Mary and breakfast. Looking forward to a reservation upstairs at the Swine Bar soon.

debbie W.

Yelp
Fun restaurant with the best beach vibe. We've been there many times, and it's typically quite busy. We've had great service and then we've had evenings when it was only so-so, but staffing is tough in the shoulder seasons. The menu is fun, with nice variety. Highly recommend the fish and seafood dishes- very fresh!!

Brennan C.

Yelp
Great spot in wildwood! Honestly one of the best restaurants in the area I definitely prefer this over other popular locations such as Mudhen. The location is really great, right on the water with nice views! Service was good, nothing crazy but good I ordered the jalapeño burger which was good! Since the last time of visited they have change from one larger patty to two stacked smash burgers which was a great call! My friend got a build your own burger with tomatoes onions lettuce and a fried egg and he loved it My girlfriend really enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich and my other friend ordered the mahi-mahi fish tacos with a mango salsa He let me have a bite and I was so jealous! These were really great One thing I don't like about this place is it's a bit pricey and if you want fries instead of chips it'll run you a few extra bucks which I hate Overall really good spot!

Frank C.

Yelp
My recent visit on Thursday, 09/21/23, in part of initial North Wildwood's Irish Festival before the storm was a great dinner experience. Great water view with great service. Their lump crab cake sandwich ($20) & french fries option (+$3) over included potato chips was a great choice: the brioche bun along with lettuce, tomato & onion produced one of the best crab sandwiches with french fries as the best also.

Peggy D.

Yelp
Have been here a couple times and always loved the vibe. It was the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend with a wicker chilly wind. It wasn't overly crowded and the service is friendly and super fast! Hubby won't stop raving about the tuna poke nachos. The tuna, the seaweed and the sauce is perfect combination and the nachos are puffy and crispy! Hubby loved his brisket grill cheese. I had the firecracker shrimp wrap. I was expecting a little kick to it, which is totally not the case. These days 'spicy' is never spicy any more. I still love it. Hubby didn't care for it. The sauce was too sweet for it. Sometimes it's good just personal preference. The drinks are all on point. We are sure to come back more!

Joyce Z.

Yelp
Parking took a bit of patience as did the 30 minute wait for a table. The pina colada with rum floater was great, as it should be for $16. I had the ribs and brisket combo with corn on the cob and mac and cheese and everything was very good. Nice views of the bay and sunset. Recommend.

Stephen W.

Yelp
The food and drinks here are awesome, best in North Wildwood. If come with any more than 2 people ask for a larger table. Their tables are really small for 3 or 4 people. Favorite food: Ribs. Favorite appetizer: Oysters. Favorite drink: Bloody Mary. This is a must try if you're vacationing in any of the Wildwoods.

Richie N.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and was greeted promptly. Food and drinks were both out quick and were great as always.

Michelle M.

Yelp
We consider this a breakfast joint more than a BBQ place. Every time we stay in North Wildwood with friends, we head here for breakfast. Staff is nice and friendly, food is good and cocktails are really, really good. I would STRONGLY recommend the Wake Up With Maddie Cocktail. Vodka and Cold Brew Coffee go lovely with breakfast. Take my word for it.

Sean M.

Yelp
I've been to this place since it had been open and it's on the slippery BBQ slide into being overpriced, bad service, and a ripoff in North Wildwood. A thimble of Cole slaw was $3. The $18.50 brisket had 4 slices of dry brisket on a 2 week old bun. $8.25 for a draft beer. This is your neighborhood ripoff and not your neighborhood bar. And why is there a random tip bucket as you walk in at the counter? Who is that for? You want a tip? Go somewhere else.

Mark L.

Yelp
Our First time there 3 yrs ago food was amazing w a great view ,now not so good ......read on !! My wife loved the chicken and waffles on our 1st visit it was a fresh piece of white chicken breast now the chicken is a formed patty it was terrible ! My burger was tasteless. My son got the prime rib ,it was tough and he said it wasn't even the right cut of meat ,he couldn't even eat it ,wasted $37.00 . My wife ordered mussels in white sauce which taste like flavored water and sandy mussels , very ,very weak ! Oh and they gave her a burnt toasted hamburger bun for bread to dip ,Lol ! Our waitress was very nice but management needs work ,we waited for 2 hours to get seated and it was almost closing time we finally got seated ,we had 12 people but we told her we would take 6 and 6 separated ,she would not budge ! All things considered I think the surfing pig is off our list of places to eat !! Oh and to beat it all they raised the prices for this inferior food !! Taste/Quality has dropped significantly !
