Honestly, so disappointed with this visit. I should’ve asked first how much fish comes in the poke bowl so that was my mistake but I didn’t realize it was essentially one bite of fish until I was long gone. I got half and half tuna and salmon; the tuna was decent but the salmon didn’t have much flavor. The bowl was 80% rice which is what filled me up instead of the fish being the main attraction. Along with this, the edamame was steamed with no added salt and was pretty dry. The cucumber was similar; under the light seasoning, there was no other salt or sauce. To top it all off the bowl comes in a compostable box that seems cool at first until you realize that this is basically the paper straw of to-go containers. Sadly I do not plan on coming back here again; there are other poke places in Liberty Station that will give you way more fish for a similar price.

Google
Sushi stand. The rice is so delicious in sushi here. I think the pretty packaging played a part in that. The color on the package also reminds me of the sea, so I feel good before eating it. You don't have to dip it in soy sauce because you don't focus too much on the sauce for each sushi. Ginger was also good, not colored ginger that is commonly used, and the table where you sit and eat is not good. I think it would be better to just post it and eat it somewhere good. I recommend you to post. If you go out here, there are pretty murals It would be better to go and see the mural.

Google
The Sushi Stand makes your sushi quickly and to order. I can't vouch for the freshness of their fish as I have no idea where they get it from or how they store it, but I can vouch that it is good. Their preparation table is a little low, so you can watch them cut up the fish and prepare everything to be rolled. It's fun to watch how the pros make the sushi rolls.

Relaxing afternoon on a rainy day, we strolled into Public Market and found the newly opened Sushi Stand. My kids are not fish-eaters and I ordered Fresh Prince which is spicy tuna with cuc, avo and salmon. (I think it has lemony ponzu sauce on top which I loooved). Hands down some of the Best sushi I've ever had! So fresh! It was bomb and tasty. It comes in a cute little blue macaron box with chopsticks and ginger slices in it, so handy. I can't wait going back and trying the rest. The staff here is extremely nice and accomodating. Highly recommended.

Google
We were visiting San Diego for a few days and wanted to grab sushi for lunch. This place looked perfect and was located in a food hall near so many other shops and restaurants. We ordered the Fresh Prince and Orange Crush. When we received the rolls we were immediately impressed by the sustainable packaging. The rolls themselves looked amazing and tasted even better! This is easily one of the best sushi places I’ve eaten at! If you're looking for a casual or takeaway sushi spot, this is your place.

Google
I went to the Sushi stand tonight and the rolls were delicious! The market can get a little crazy sometimes and they have the perfect location: right in a corner with available sitting. The staff was very nice and we had our rolls ready in less than 10min. So great to finally have a sushi place in liberty station!

Google
Some of the best sushi in San Diego! Fresh ingredients, fun stuff and such cute packaging! They care about the environment too so their packaging doesn’t include any plastic! Win/win all around!

Google
People!! Listen to me!! This place is the best sushi in town. The quality is impeccable and the staff (Chef Jerald!) are on point. This place opened 7 days ago, and I’ve eaten there 4 times, and I live 27 miles away. I have to give a shout out to the owner Mathias! He is here every time talking to customers, running the operation in person and leading the charge! Lastly, the packaging is amazing, and ingenious ! They make a fresh roll, place it in this smart box that slides open and your condiments and chop sticks are integrated into the set-up! You just grab it and go! Super super super place!!

Yelp
I absolutely adore Liberty Station Public Market & I decided to grab a roll from The Sushi Stand tonight. I opted for the Surfin' USA ($18.50)-(Krab, Shrimp Tempura, Avocado, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Sauce, Spicy Mayo, Fried Shallots, & Negi) It also comes with sesame seeds but I'm not a fan, so I asked the chef who took my order not to include them. The roll was freshly prepared in front of me and it was ready in about 10 minutes. I brought it home & was delighted by the aesthetic presentation of the roll. I also appreciated the sturdy paper box with sliding cover, little paper cup for my soy sauce, the wasabi & fresh ginger. The Roll: in a word... Delightful! It went down my gullet like butta. The flavors were fresh and smooth. This was an incredibly enjoyable treat! Sushi Stand has quite a few roll options, onigiri, poke & more. You will not be disappointed if you try The Sushi Stand! Notes: Indoor & outdoor seating throughout the Public Market Area, tons of parking, it can get very busy on weekends!

Yelp
If you're looking for a sushi roll without any raw contents, Eye of the Tiger is absolutely delicious. Worth every cent of the price. The basic rolls - like salmon and avocado - are very well-priced and make for a more affordable option to take my kids to than most other sushi places. Fresh Prince was very fresh tasting, especially because of the ponzu, but wasn't as flavorful as the other rolls. Their brand packaging is really nice quality. It makes for a fancy feeling to-go sushi picnic.

Yelp
Surprisingly great... one of the best I've had. The rice was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of sticky. The fish was fresh and not too fishy. The ginger was fantastic. And the customer service was great. The sushi chef was on point and pretty fly for being a white guy. If I lived here I would definitely come back lots

Yelp
I needed a snack because the food options at The Liberty Station food hall is ridiculous. I'm so glad I saw onigiri on the menu. We got tuna, tofu with avocado, beef and salmon. Honestly, I was full after that snack of four Onigiris. Wonderful to see they weren't packed in plastic. All the flavors were good. I would definitely go back and try their sushi. The service was awesome too!
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
Took a very long time and they were NOT friendly at all. Grumpy it seemed. But the sushi was good and that's what counts. But it did take a LONG time.
google avatar

Justine H.

Yelp
Liberty station was in need of some sushi! This stand has such great quality for a grab and go and aesthetically pleasing packaging! Even their pole came in a fancy box. All the rolls on their menu are packed with flavor and they even torch their toppings like the salmon on my roll. Only wish the orders didn't take so long and there's not really an area to stand in the way of walking traffic.

Yelp
Ive been seeing these guys on IG for months so i finally decided to give them a try and WOW, im impressed. I got the tequila sunrise roll and miso soup. Their rolls all range from 16-20$ which is normal imo. The tequila sunrise was delightful lots of fish and amazing combo of sweet and savory flavors. The miso soup was $5 but the cup is a decent size and the soup itself is super flavorful. Small stand located in the corner of the liberty station market. Staff is nice. Id definitely come back here.

Yelp
I recently had lunch at Sushi Stand in Liberty Station. Several months prior, my husband had brought home a couple of sushi rolls, and I remember I liked how they were all so neatly packed in the cute cardboard boxes. Anyway, I was busy shopping and I found myself at Liberty Public Market looking for some food. I was rather indecisive, but chose a poke bowl at Sushi Stand. Unfortunately, I found the bowl to be too expensive, as all of the other ingredients were add-ons. First, they didn't offer salad as an option for the base. White rice was the only choice. It came with edamame and cucumbers only. I paid extra for massage and crab salad. I will say that the fish was flavorful and fresh, but there wasn't much of it. The bowl was rather pricey and since I didn't want the rice, I found myself quite hungry afterward. Perhaps the Sushi Stand may be decent for sushi rolls, but I would get my poke elsewhere.

Yelp
Food - 3.5 service - 3.5 ambiance - it's fine it's just a food hall. I was craving sushi and this one gets good reviews. Located in liberty market in the far corner, it's been here at least two years as I came here two years ago. Got the sushi prince roll. Worker said it's popular. It tasted fine, and was cold which I like. But the rice is definitely overcooked and the rice to fish ratio is too high. The packaging is cute and the cucumber salad was fine. But it's very average at best sushi.
google avatar

Gabbi S.

Yelp
I had a rough day, so I figured I'd cheer myself up with some sushi... and then immediately dropped the entire roll in the parking lot trying to get into my car. Love that for me lol I walked back in and asked if they'd be willing to remake it--even though they had literally just made it--and without hesitation, they said yes. They were super kind and understanding! And the best part? The sushi was so good! Like fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed. Between the amazing food and the genuinely kind service, they've got a customer for life. Highly recommend--just try not to throw yours on the ground like I did!

Yelp
From the get go, the place seemed really nice and it really made me crave sushi. When I got my roll, the packaging was really cute and compact (forgot to take a pic of it). For it being called spicy, it was not so spicy (prob because of spice tolerance), but there was some. It was very filling and the presentation was nice. I had no issue with the flavor honestly because it was really good, but just wanted it a little spicier.
google avatar

Ally G.

Yelp
Cutest boxes of sushi! I saw this place online and since it had good reviews I wanted to give it a try so I could also get a box of sushi! The sushi was good, but the box made it even better. The staff was nice and let me customize my order to order a single onigiri with custom filling instead of 4, which is listed on the menu. I got the fresh prince roll and it was good. I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back to this place, but would definitely get it again if I'm at liberty station. Really the box was the best part!

Yelp
I am a sucker for good sushi and a great concept. Sushi stand at the liberty public market is a hot spot. Their rolls were fresh and so much flavor. The guys working there were super nice. You just have to be extremely patient and perhaps plan to explore the market place after ordering because it took about 25-35 minutes to get our rolls on a Saturday afternoon. I thought it was worth it but I could see people getting a little antsy.
google avatar

Ajae R.

Yelp
So good! I've tried a few things off their menu now and have yet to be disappointed. The Fresh Prince roll & their nigiri are my faves. The onigiri is fantastic, but could be better. Service is speedy and they still fulfill quality orders. Liberty Public Market is such a cute place, lots of places to choose to sit.

Yelp
Super slow for pick up order. Placed online order at 3:11, with a confirmation stating it would be ready at 3:35. I walked up at 3:40 and the one big dude working said he just now got the order "because the machine needed to be updated and didn't send the order". He said give me 10 minutes to make it. I'm annoyed but said, that's fine. 20 minutes after that conversation, my sushi is ready. So 25 minutes after they said it was supposed to be ready, it was ready. I already paid for the tip at the time I ordered, so I can't pull that back. Best I can do now is give a lower rating to alert others not to order pick up or to-go.
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
The best thing about this place is their cute packaging. It is perfectly sized and I love the color. I tried their miso soup and the size of the tofu was impressive, but I only got one piece. Also, all I could taste was salt. Horrible. I got their Fresh Prince roll and, honestly, it was a below average roll. Not the worst I've ever had, but not worth the ridiculous price whatsoever. We're in San Diego, so there are a lot of other sushi options that I would rather go to for a cheaper price.
google avatar

Chloe K.

Yelp
It's similar to kabuki quality of sushi. Not bad or fishy. Just plain and basic. They do come in this super cute long box. They don't really have any pics of the items on their menu board on the wall but you can look up the photos on their website. Took about 15 mins for my order to be ready
google avatar

Ali R.

Yelp
The sushi is pretty good. It's not the best but it's not bad. It did taste fresh. The packaging is cool and unique. I may be back.

Yelp
Upon entering Liberty Market, it was immediately to our left in the far corner (of course, depending on which entrance you enter from, this would change - it's the one next to the beer stand, left of the mini donuts, diagonal to bathrooms/arcade, etc). What is this gem?! We ordered "I See Fire", "What's Poppin'", "The Beef", and a California roll, and everything was made to order and tasted fresh. The packaging is adorable, reminded me of a box of french macarons, and I loved that they are all about being environmentally conscious. Given it is our first time experiencing Liberty Market, I can't speak to much, but this was a great spot and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here.
google avatar

Conrad D.

Yelp
I came out of yelp retirement just to tell people not to get the poke bowl here. I'm all for a simple bowl so the ingredients can shine... but this didn't taste like much. Plus the amount of actual poke you get is so little compared to the size of the bowl and price.

Ayden C.

Yelp
Some of the most fresh best sushi I have had ! Would fs recommend to others, and coming back again
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
Ordered a poke bowl and was in fact not a poke bowl, more like a sashimi bowl with no flavor and hardly any fish at all. Small little corner of fish to be exact. And for $25! Had they actually provided poke and a fair amount, they could call it a poke bowl. Was in fact not one. I am disappointed.

Yelp
We visited the sushi stand located on the corner of liberty station. The venue was clean and small with seating located near by. I asked the cashier what he would order on his lunch and he said the "I see fire roll" and his coworker said the "fresh prince", so I ordered both. The sushi was alright, I preferred the roll with lemon. But neither rolls wowed me or my boyfriend. I would say it's pretty basic and good for a pinch if you're in the area and have a need for a quick sushi fix. 6/10 food What stood out to me was the service. The employees I met tonight are the type of people who are down to earth, cool, and make ya feel completely welcome. 10/10 service.

Cameron T.

Yelp
A lot of the yelp reviews seemed very positive on this place, so decided to try it out. Taste wise it was kind of bland - I had one of their specialty rolls (can't remember which one) and thought it was somewhat tasteless. But that's not enough to warrant a negative review. I came near closing time (maybe like half an hour before closing). Ended up getting bad food poisoning that night that I'm sure is from this. So just be careful when eating here near closing time! Maybe I'll come again in the middle of the day and change my opinion.

Yelp
I have been meaning to try this sushi spot for a while now after seeing it on instagram and a trip to the public market meant it was time to try a roll! I will say this roll was super good but the price is what kind of throws me off. I would definitely order multiple if it wasn't going to be super expensive but I am glad I got to share one with my boyfriend. The flavors were amazing and the presentation in the box is really an elevated feel that I loved. For a gourmet sushi roll the service was pretty quick considering it was a busy day in the public market. I want to come back but the price may detour me for a special occasion or when I want to splurge on great sushi!

Nevin A.

Yelp
The Sushi stand is located inside The Liberty Public Market in Liberty Station. The indoor seatings are very limited, but there are outdoor seating in the Liberty market. The service was great and fast. I ordered the following -Song of the shrimp.   ($14.40) Kanikama , shrimp tempura, eel sauce panko -What's poppin?      ($17.30) Deep fried rolls, spicy kinukama, salmon spicy mayo, eel sauce green onions The rolls were delicious  and flavorful. The packaging were very nice, each roll was neatly presented in a cute box. It's a little bit pricey but I am a foodie and I wanted to try their rolls. If you are craving a quick flavorful fresh sushi, then The Sushi stand will be the right place to stop by
google avatar

Viviana S.

Yelp
Food: My sushi roll was so pretty to look at, but also very delicious. I love lemon, so the prince roll was the perfect roll as the lemon flavor was very strong! Service: You order at the front and wait for your order to be ready. Staff was very nice and quick. Ambiance: The Sushi Stand is inside the Liberty Public Market so it tends to get very busy and hectic, especially during peak hours. It's also very close to another food stand, which makes it hard to know where the line is. However, there's tables inside the market or outside once you get your order. You can also see how they make your roll while you wait.
google avatar

Dung N.

Yelp
This stand is located inside Liberty Public Market. My friend arrived later, so I watched them make a few rolls while waiting. When she arrived, we decided to share the I See Fire, Black and Yellow, and Maria Maria rolls. The I See Fire is torched and was my favorite roll. She got a Kona coffee (in a can) to drink, while I chose the strawberry Ramune. The packaging is so cute and perfect to take on picnics!
google avatar

Scib E.

Yelp
Very tasty roll I got at the Liberty Public Market. Tuna, salmon, avocado with a lemon flavor.
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
I See Fire Roll - i expected it to be spicy due to the name but it wasn't, it was a great combo and I loved the sauce on it Spicy Tuna roll - - nothing special, would get another specialty roll instead next time Food Quality - - it was all fresh and quality ingredients Wait time - - it took about twenty minutes to prepare, there weren't many people waiting but they had a ton of to go orders, so maybe order ahead of time It can be very hit and miss to find tables there

Yelp
Quick sushi on the go. The Sushi Stand in Liberty Station is a great choice for health lunch option. The service was good and the sushi roll was prepared in timely manner. The sushi roll presentation was really nice. The fresh ingredients, flavours, and overall taste didn't disappoint either. I highly recommend this sushi spot for their variety of tasty sushi rolls.
google avatar

Yelp
Whenever we visit liberty public market, my family and I separate and order a variety of items from the different vendors and meet up at a table to share our food and eat. My husband picked up a sushi roll from here. The roll was nicely packaged in a box, along with ginger, wasabi and soy sauce packets. Per the menu, the "I see fire roll" is described as: Spicy kanikama, shrimp tempura, avocado, seared salmon, torched curry mayo, negi, crunchy garlic, and sesame seeds. It was fresh and delicious! Can't wait to try their other rolls next time!
google avatar

Vivian T.

Yelp
Great rolls here as they are super fresh and good flavors. I admit the packaging is what makes the Sushi Stand, stand out. I believe the prices have gone up since they have opened but I believe the quality for them matches the price. I was able to try their Black and Yellow roll. The roll was very intricate and had little touches like seared hamachi and even the lemon. I was pleased with my roll, however, the price is a bit much for the takeout style ($19). I don't know if I will be back, but I do recommend you give them a try at Liberty Station.
google avatar

LINA M.

Yelp
Located inside Liberty Station and very Americanized trailered towards tourists it was actually pretty good. The cashier and chefs were really nice and sushi rolls came out at a reasonable time. The sushi tasted fresh and was well flavored with sauces.

Yelp
YESSS. Liberty station has fresh sushi rolls now and I'm happy to report - they are GOOD. If there's a line, don't worry, the sushi chefs provide quick service. I got my rolls on a busy Saturday afternoon less than 10 minutes after ordering them. Thank goodness for Yelp. I ordered the "I See Fire Roll" and "Fresh Prince" because of its popularity among the Yelp community. The "I See Fire" roll was my absolute favorite. It's crunchy because of the shrimp tempura inside and crunchy garlic on top. The seared salmon and mayo were torched to perfection. The roll itself nearly melted in my mouth. So dang good. I would order it again. The fresh prince roll tasted more fresh, light and spicy. That one was my fiancés favorite. I love the boxes they come in. They knocked it out of the park with presentation. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more!
google avatar

Summer G.

Yelp
I've been here several times and the sushi is always fresh, delicious, and artfully presented. However, since I don't eat fish, I always get the vegetarian roll. It used to be "Blue in Green" but is now called "Green River" and has been reformulated. Please bring back the Blue in Green roll with mushrooms (see photos)! It was a much better roll. Thank you for your consideration
google avatar

Adrian G.

Yelp
Ordered the rainbow roll and their specialty salmon avocado roll. No line on a Sunday evening and I had if in my hands less than 10 min. Friendly expedient service. About 30 bucks for both so average price I believe. I drove it over an hour away to my home and they still tasted delicious. No complaints or anything else to add. Friendly expedient service and very nice tasting sushi. Recommend if in/around the liberty station area.

Yelp
Definitely a solid choice for sushi if you're in the market. Highly recommend the surfin USA roll. Service was good and it came out super quick!! Super fresh

Yelp
Came to the sushi stand as it popped up suggested by Yelp. Perfect timing as I was just around the corner picking up my best friend from the airport... who came from Japan! Should say well, I know Japan's sushi is probably better than anything in the US, though let's give it a shot! It did not disappoint. It's hidden inside the Liberty Public Market at the Liberty Station in Point Loma, the market is super cute, very cultural diverse with tons of shops and eateries, all small locally owned businesses. I tried their what's popping? Roll, it's deep fried; but to perfection! Not super loaded with batter, just the right amount for a perfect crisp! My friend ordered the Surfing USA and a spicy tuna roll, he was delighted with the hot tuna! The place was minutes away from their advertised opening time however the staff happily tended to us, so that was super nice of them! Will definitely say that I'll gladly come back to this place and try out different rolls out of their menu; and hope they're as good as todays!

Yelp
The Sushi Stand has taken over a Liberty Public Market corner stall that used to be the home of prior dessert vendors that are now out of business. They offer a dozen different types of specialty maki rolls on the menu. What's unique is the cardboard sleeve that is provided for each roll. It's sturdy and looks nice as a gift box for something sweet like candy, but to me, the packaging is overkill for sushi rolls. I noticed that most of the rolls had spicy kani or kanikama as the protein. For those who are unaware, kani is otherwise known as imitation krab meat. With that being listed as the first ingredient, it's hard not to gripe about prices as high as $16.50 for a roll in which real fish is playing second fiddle to imitation krab meat. Only three rolls did not have kani as a component so I chose two of them for my order, the Fresh Prince and the Black and Yellow. The first one had spicy tuna, avocado, salmon, lemon slices, ponzu, micro cilantro, and sesame seeds as ingredients. The second one featured spicy tuna, tempura shishito, avocado, seared hamachi, seared lemon, ponzu, togarashi, and micro cilantro. Each product was cut into an unusual number of pieces (nine) with a circumference that was average in size for a maki roll at local Japanese restaurants. Slices of ginger, a wad of wasabi, and packets of soy sauce were included inside each sleeve. Both rolls had a high citrusy flavor profile with the lemon and ponzu. If this vendor could emphasize the use of the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail that they have on hand instead of kani, then I would have less concern about the pricing. A greater selection of seafood like eel, scallops, or uni would bring different textures and flavors that could be incorporated into the rolls. The concept is good at The Sushi Stand, yet the quality doesn't match all the five star reviews that have been posted.

Yelp
My husband and I got the fresh Prince roll and the poke bowl with extra fish. The fresh Prince was super delicious. I also love their aesthetic and there to go containers. Super super cute. What I don't like.. is 1. Their prices, 2. The long wait, and 3. The flavors We paid 17.50 for a sushi roll. And 22 dollars for a poke bowl with extra fish which in my opinion is outrageous. There was nothing extra special with the roll and bowl other than they were what they were so I don't understand the prices. They only have two sushi chefs so it was about a 30 min wait for 1 roll and bowl. But it's also a small space so having only two makes sense. Still, the wait can be annoying. Lastly, the curry salmon just wasn't good. I don't really think curry and salmon go together. So it wasn't a fav. And the roll said spicy tuna. But there was nothing spicy about it. As said before, the roll was really good, and the aesthetic was super cute. But with these prices.. it's just too expensive for sushi when there are other places with the same quality or better and also cheaper.

Yelp
The Sushi Stand is such an amazing addition to Liberty Public Market. If you've seen photos of the sushi, they're boxed in what looks like a macaroon box, this is going to be a perfect vessel for picnic dates at the park across the street! Anyway, the price point is spot on when it comes to rolls at other sushi spots, I ended up getting the Fresh Prince and the Surfin' USA! Ummm, how incredible is the packaging, it has such a good weight to it and they really do not mess around with portion sizes! I love that they even include your ginger, wasabi and packets of soysauce! The Surfin' USA has all my favorites krab, tempura shrimp with a spicy tuna on top! Plus...they have fried shallots, a perfect addition to this roll! It's super tasty and they really don't skimp out on the portion. The Fresh Prince is my favorite type of roll. spicy tuna on the inside with slices of beautiful salmon with ponzu sauce. Super refreshing and had a really nice kick to it. I am salivating just writing this review, if you want to impress some friends with some really good quality sushi check out The Sushi Stand!

Yelp
The presentation of the sushi in the nice boxes was 10/10, the taste of the sushi was good, but what ruined this meal for us was a cheap soy sauce that was provided (clear packaging with white writing and white panda on it). I never thought a soy sauce could make or break a sushi experience but it sure did. I see in other pics that they used to have the better soy sauce. Hopefully they go back to giving what they used to.

Yelp
I saw this restaurant on San Diego Mag's Best of 2023 & had to check it out with my dad! It is located in the Liberty Station Public Market. They have maybe 2-3 tables, not much seating inside but there are plenty of seating areas outside. The sushi rolls are delicious but they are just so expensive for "casual" sushi. Their pricing is comparable to a nice, sit down restaurant but without the service. You have to pay for water & they only give you a few utensils, soy sauce, & even napkins. I had to ask for more, then more!

Yelp
Price: $$ Service: Fast service. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Food: I had the "I See Fire" roll and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and love how convenient the to go box is. Overall: would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Cute Sushi Bar mainly for takeout (there are a few tables inside and some seating outside of the store). Nicely presented in a box! You can tell the chef really took his time and effort to make your sushi as beatiful as it could be. It is a one man show so your order might take a while. A little pricey for no waiting service place and a rather small roll but it is San Diego. It was a nice light meal before heading to the airport.

Yelp
Great sushi for takeout. Ordered ahead, perfect for a picnic. Love the sustainable packaging that makes it easy to pickup and bring anywhere. Rolls I had were delicious.

PERFECT ADD-ON TO LIBERTY STATION (4.75 stars) ... something satisfying about unboxing sushi served in a box, kind of like ordering shoes and unboxing a new pair of shoes. Pulling back the lid to see the item you bought brings some kind of "joy". - FOOD: good quality - SERVICE: excellent - PRICE: decent - AMBIANCE: corner sushi It's that perfect "order and go" but has quality. This fits the vibe well among all the other eateries at Liberty Station (food hall). It's not your typical Japanese restaurant where they imported fish from Japan, it is exactly what it is.. a sushi stand but a very good sushi stand with a limited fix menu. Presentation of sushi is beautiful and the serving box is a different yet great concept... grab and go... and try to hunt down an open seat. Keeps the sushi pretty and protected. :: FOOD :: FRESH PRINCE ($17.8) - Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, salmon, lemon slices, ponzu, micro cilantro, and sesame seeds. One thing I noticed, a lot of their specialty rolls had "spicy tuna" and to be real honest I'm not that big of a fan of "spicy tuna". It's usually hookered up tuna in saracha sauce and sometimes over powering. 1) not everyone likes saracha (me included) 2) not everyone likes spicy rolls (also, me included). Overall the roll was very delicious! Good quality! In fish, rice preparation, and roll execution. The rice was perfectly cooked and the ratio of rice to fish was less - more fish than rice! I wish my micro cilantro was spreaders evenly on top across my rolls, they were concentrated towards the first half. And I wish they had an option of regular tuna vs spicy tuna - if people need heat they can use their wasabi! I admit, I did dig out some of the spicy tuna because I thought some rolls had a little too much of it and it was becoming overpowering. Even with my little two cents, this rolls was still very delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I can't get over their sushi boxes! So cute and so functional (and they are recyclable). JABA APPROVED. Until the next bite.
