"The Sutler Cellar Bar, 8Th Avenue South by GS&F. The Cellar Bar is tucked below The Sutler Saloon (a Nashville staple with live music almost every night). It’s an eclectic basement bar with low light and great vibes, large enough to bring a party of people but intimate enough for a date. It’s a nice escape from the usual bar scene with an industrial aesthetic and craft cocktails at a great price.Side note: The Sutler has much more of a “Nashville” vibe, but usually has solid live music and killer DJ sets on Friday nights."

Nashville Fall Restaurant Openings to Know - Eater Nashville

"Bar-within-a-bar Rambler is the newest project for Nashville-based hospitality groups A.Ray Hospitality and The Parkes Companies. Slated for the underground space in 8th Avenue South’s The Sutler Saloon, adjacent to The Melrose Billiard Parlor, owner Austin Ray says the underground cocktail bar at will be a standalone brand and destination with an electric atmosphere, curated playlists, and DJs. Freddy Schwenk is consulting on the “approachable” bar program, and Jason Brumm is developing the food menu, expected to bring creative and indulgent bar bites." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Loved this place!! I came for a business lunch and it was perfect. They had live music that wasn’t too over powering for a lunch rush so you can actually hear yourself. Our server was attentive and nice. We ordered the guacamole trio and the mango guacamole was delicious! Be aware it’s spicy, but so worth the burn. The Shrimp & Grits is amazing! The portion was worth the money, the flavor was on point, and the grits tasted slow cooked to perfection! Overall, I understand why the Sutler has such great reviews. They truly provide an great experience from start to finish.

I can’t remember the performer’s name on Friday night, but he was phenomenal!!! Staff was great & very attentive. Bathrooms are clean & nice. Really fun place to hangout, have a few drinks & food while listening to an artist perform. Would definitely recommend! Fried pickles are okra were really good, super hot & fresh!! Loved the license plate details on the tables. Very original!!

Very good but be prepared to wait! We had a party of 4 and told 90 minute wait. So we went down stairs and played shuffle board and pool. They were on the money with the time. The food was extremely quick to come out though. Impressed by that. However, DO NOT get the bottomless mimosas as the service is super slow and you will only get 1-2 tops of drinks. Overall good experience but wish the service was better and wish they had runners to carry drinks and such. The waitress said they had them, but we didn’t see them and neither did our neighbors and all of us canceled the drinks to get removed from tab. When I go here yes, I wanna make it an every Sunday thing, no.

What a great little bar! I stopped in right after work to grab a bite to eat without knowing anything about this place. I lucked out and there was live music (Dixie jade)! I was seated up by the girls singing. Waitress was super sweet and patient with me while I decided what to order. I went with the strawberry lemonade sangria (perfect!!) and the fried zucchini tacos (also amazing!!) The food and drinks were some of the best that I have had since moving here. There’s parking in front and in the parking garage just south of this restaurant. I would recommend this to anyone in town! Burgers are good here too!

Great brunch spot!! Food is good and mimosas are bottomless. It takes FOREVER to get a table because they're so busy, but worth it. Love the love band playing bluegrass music. Definitely coming back to this little spot.

Live music was good . The brunch was okay . The service was good . Some of the dishes were really good and some were so so . I got the eggs Benedict which was nice! We got a corner seat for 6 of us which was really uncomfortable. There were empty tables and we were still not offered the empty ones !

Older country vibe, bar service was average speed. I wasn't a fan of their version of eggs Benedict: biscuit was a little over cooked, didn't use poached eggs, fried eggs were over cooked. I would do a sunny side up instead, ham wasn't seasoned, and they use way to much sauce. I mean if your feeding people way out in the county but your basically downtown. 90% of the people there today were young with more healthy lifestyles. I would just visit for the music and bottomless mimosas next time. Waiter provided good service, minus telling me he could get me two extra poached eggs. But showed up fried. Wasn't horrible, but wasn't great.

The hostess was quite rude, but the waiter was very attentiveness nice. We went for Sunday morning brunch and ordered brisket hash, brisket Benedict, biscuit Benedict and monkey bread. Each of these dishes failed in different aspects. The monkey bread was very hard when received, like it was left out. The biscuit Benedict tastes as tho it was waiting under a heat lamp with an overly crunchy biscuit and cold toppings The brisket on both entrees were chewy.
