We have just had a wonderful three nights at the Swan. It was supposed to be two but we added an extra night as we did not want to leave.
Beautifully renovated, it somehow manages to combine being a village pub with an excellent restaurant and lovely hotel rooms.
In the bar there is decent selection of good, well priced beer, and a selection of wine from good value to top end. They will also make an excellent cocktail - a proper martini for example.
The food in the restaurant was a super tasty mixture of classic dishes that were all done exceptionally well. All a good size too - you definitely wont leave feeling hungry. With a sommelier on hand too you will also be able to choose well from a varied wine list (we had a variety at different price points and all were good).
The rooms are super comfortable while being rustic - home from home, and the breakfast included is lovely. If you are somehow hungry you can feast on a huge cooked breakfast. Possibly the biggest I have had, with excellent sausages, thick bacon slices and black pudding.
Service was excellent throughout our stay - it is a very well run inn, and needs to be to cater for all the guests they have on what seems a near constant basis. We will be back!
